121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP 5 James Bond gambling scenes on: December 23, 2020, 03:57:59 PM
Well, when it's James Bond, it's surely a good movie. I'm not really a big fan of him and didn't know that he kinda has a lot of casino scenes. But what I noticed is that because it's a movie, he always wins and I wish it would be that easy in real life.

I like watching movies as well. I've watched this good movie, however this is a Korean movie, titled "Tazza: The Hidden Card". I find the scenes thrilling and how players have their own tricks when playing cards. I like watching movies about professional gambling, where I can see different tricks and might be some tips I cna use qhen I gamble.
I  happen to watch this movie and it's really interesting. It's not just that typical gambling movie since it also shows interesting tricks they will do in gambling.
122  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Biglaang pag angat ng XRP on: December 23, 2020, 01:46:38 PM
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to XRP market now that SEC is suing Ripple? on: December 23, 2020, 01:08:07 PM

24 hours after the news broke out Rippler is down 10% the dump is continuing it could go down to 10 cents again or even 5 cents, and some exchange might even delist it, Ripple should do something about it, they should issue an immediate announcement and find a way to calm down investors to avoid continuous dumping.
Actually, they did an announcement and you may read it here:
[1] The SEC’s Attack on Crypto in the United States

As the price is constantly declining, which deteriorates the market condition of XRP, and investors had no option but to sell it. Consequently, the complaint made a substantial implication to Ripple. Thus, they will probably struggle in rebuilding the trust of investors and recover.
124  Other / Off-topic / Re: I am waiting for your suggestions on: December 23, 2020, 12:20:22 PM
For now, it will be difficult to convey advice pertaining to your current situation as we must consider and understand the reason for how it happens. Are not you aware that that seeds should be hidden as it is the key to access your funds? Regardless, I hope that finally understand the significance of keeping it from anyone. Always remember you can’t trust anyone, especially with something valuable. It really is a tough situation, but I hope you will manage it well.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: December 23, 2020, 06:05:25 AM
There will always be bad people in the world, so I'm not surprised that there are gambling sites offering COVID19 bets. Because there are
types of people who are looking for profit by justifying various methods, including putting the suffering of others at stake. I urge the members of
this forum to avoid gambling sites that offer COVID19 as a bet, this is very immoral. We as social beings must have a sense of empathy for
the suffering of others, because the COVID19 pandemic is a common enemy.

As expected and they were people who will used the weakness of other people to benefit them, to generate an income from it and even this was a total inhumane, people were tend to do that because they are aiming for a high profit. This sports betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic can be related to the scams or scammers spreading out worldwidely and worst those people victime were the weak one and the poor one.
Betting on serious matters or situations was never fun because others are struggling while they find the situation entertaining. It's such an insensitive act of those sites who offered this kind of betting to generate income, but maybe people who bet on COVID back then did not find it entertaining anymore since the virus has been here for a year already.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blocked funds in a poker room on: December 23, 2020, 05:05:27 AM
Really disappointed with the result but I see this as your fault as well since you are using VPN as this is usually not allowed to most gambling sites. It was really sad but supposedly they will return your money since it was probably not stated there TOS  but the problem is that you can no longer access your account and withdraw it. Your last hope is that they feel what you feel this time and give mercy to you.

This could be a lesson to learn to everyone who uses a VPN to bypass such restrictions. We don't need to do this, better to think about the consequences that might happen later and that possibly the lock-up of our account just like OP.
Though OP faults for using a VPN that violates their TOS, the way the gambling site responded (they barely respond) to this issue is kinda disappointing. It's upsetting if OP won't be able to get back his funds but yeah, this will serve as a lesson not only for him but for us as well not to violate the TOS of any gambling sites.
127  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Legit Ba Talaga? on: December 22, 2020, 05:03:52 PM
128  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cash out or HODL - Bitcoin? on: December 22, 2020, 04:32:57 PM
As also mentioned by others, it depends on our needs or wants since it's our bitcoin after all. We can't tell others what to do with their bitcoin and in my case, since it's Christmas season I had to sell some of it but still hodl the rest. This is like a reward for us, and I don't mind selling some of it since I'll be also benefiting from it. What matters is if you're contented with the profit.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A little word of advice is enough for the wise on: December 22, 2020, 12:47:34 PM
Don't be afraid of KYC if you're dealing with a trusted institution. There are very easy requirements for trading on Coinbase. While KYC can be daunting at times, it is a very useful requirement overall.
Even a trusted cryptocurrency exchange platform can be vulnerable to hacks and data breaches. It is understandable that they implement KYC to prevent fraud. However, as the user’s personal information is linked to the exchange, if things go wrong their data will be accessible to anyone. Be wary that many exchanges whether it is decentralized or centralized may encounter unexpected difficulty. Thus, a user should prefer to be safe than sorry.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin startup advertising on London Bus - still exciting to see on: December 21, 2020, 05:01:04 PM
I believe this kind of ads are good to bring awareness about bitcoin, and I do hope to see such things here in my country as well.

How effective is this method ? Are there any statistics?
Companies use this kind of advertisement method and are probably effective to attract random people in public places to recognize bitcoin. It may be different from other products being advertised in this way since bitcoin is different from those kinds of products, but it would still help increase attention.
131  Economy / Economics / Re: A reward system for Covid Free people.... on: December 21, 2020, 04:04:20 PM
I don't think it's essential to give incentives for everyone who still stay covid free because it's also our individual part to take care of ourselves, and part of that is following the protocols. Also, not all governments have enough funds to do that, like in developing countries that already find it hard to give enough aids to people affected by the pandemic. We don't need a reward or incentives just to take care of our health and follow the protocols implemented because it's for our own sake. Let's just be thankful that we have not get infected by the virus.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An example why we should hold bitcoin on: December 21, 2020, 03:13:51 PM
Everyone wants to hold their bitcoin, but we don't have the same status in the society. For example is me, I don't have that plenty of money unlike the person you've mention OP, so whenever I do have a Bitcoin, I always convert it in fiat for me to have something I could spend buying my daily needs and paying bills.

But if I'm rich like the person you've mentioned, OP, I would definitely do the same just like what he did and would celebrate now because Bitcoin is doing great and is now planning to make another All Time High.
In specific, the condition is not relevant to any investors, especially those struggling with financial-related issues. Such investors will surely and quickly sell their bitcoins to provide sufficient necessities in times of need. The story of Ben Yu manifests the basic component of investing, which is faith and patience. As he holds bitcoin for several years, searching for a perfectly timed to sell it. Regardless, it is good to see another life-changing story. It can encourage people to venture into bitcoin investment.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not everyone will agree with Bitcoin, you should know this! on: December 21, 2020, 01:15:29 PM
I also realized that there will always be Bitcoin hater, because there are always people who don't like Bitcoin and always think
negatively about Bitcoin.
People can freely express their perspective; thus, they have a divergence of views.

We can't force everyone to like Bitcoin, so don't think too much if you meet people who don't like Bitcoin.
It is quite common to encounter people that oppose your particular perspective. As they are typically unfamiliar with the use and purpose of bitcoin. So, we should learn to be open with the different opinions of others.

Everyone has a different way of thinking, we must be able to respect differences of opinion. That way we in this world will be more
peaceful. Therefore a forum like bitcointalk is needed which provides a gathering place for people who support Bitcoin. And I am very
happy to be in this forum, because I can discuss all things Bitcoin related.
In such a manner, we will be able to understand the possible root of their allegations because there could be any conditions that may influence their views. And, the forum helps people to comprehend the variety of subjects associated with bitcoin. It serves as a powerful instrument that encourages everyone to share thoughts and pieces of knowledge. Thus, those people who seek a better understanding of bitcoin join the forum.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Need some help to Understand Bounty campaign on: December 21, 2020, 12:06:04 PM
There are so many bounty campaign that moderate by newbie with 2/3 activities, is that kind of bounty are safe and believable?
Most new projects who have no ANN on this forum have no choice but to create new account for their bounty campaigns, this doesn't revel that they can't be trusted, I promoted oikos bounty project and it was introduced by a newbie account, yet all bounty hunters get paid, it's better to stick with doing research, either it's from newbie or legendary members the difference isn't that much
In essence, it is necessary to establish an account to formally introduced and disseminate information with their startup project. The rank of the bounty manager will not define the creditability of the campaign; thus, you should verify each information before participating. Regardless, some newbie bounty managers successfully handled and organized a campaign. Hence, any campaign can be high-risk, so be wary. If you are doubtful and interested to join, you can consider the ones managed by the trusted users in the forum.
135  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pagpasok ng Tao Sa Crypto on: December 20, 2020, 04:53:02 PM

137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin virtual currency is a scam on: December 20, 2020, 02:39:41 PM
Lol. Before you say that bitcoin is always being used for crimes, remember that paper money is also being used for crimes and illegal purposes, it's just the same. Bitcoin is not filthy and cruel, it's the people who use it for illegal activities.

Why bother asking for a huge amount of btc to do charitable works when you don't even believe bitcoin and just said that it's filthy and cruel money.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Technology for Solving Covid-19 Issues on: December 20, 2020, 11:15:31 AM
With the complex issue of the pandemic, China has implemented blockchain technology to trace the identity of potentially infected people and compile the gathered data.

[1] Coronavirus: Unlocking Healthcare Potential with Blockchain

It seems that blockchain performs an essential role in helping the continuous spreading of the virus. It is useful to healthcare workers for an easy process of tracking and investigating its transmission.
Very good. Currently, the most important thing is that tracing technology is not strong and fast enough to detect the spread of viruses. It would be great if there were developers who were able to create technology with blockchain that could produce fast and accurate tracing data
Blockchain technology presents a good advantage, especially in this situation. With the use of this innovative technology, they can easily facilitate the different identification of people and ensure the safety of their data. It is a useful system for hospitals due to the simplified data storage process.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need ideas for my Bitcoin Blog on: December 19, 2020, 02:54:21 PM
Just a suggestion, you can ask people what are the things they want to know about bitcoin or any related topics, especially for beginners. You can use that as your basis in creating your tutorial blogs so it can help them to learn and understand the things they don't know. Just make sure you're providing correct information so it won't confuse others and good luck with your blog.
