1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 15, 2023, 07:45:11 PM
I honestly do not expect Lakers to lose Lebron, he will stay there without a doubt, he won't move until his son is in the league, which will be another season if I am not wrong, if that were to ever happen then I am guessing that the only way he leaves is to go where his son is drafted and have one last season there.

His son will be at college this year at USC so closer to his dad this season, and he will be staying at his home if I am not mistaken as well, which means that we are going to see him play as well as hoped for and probably drafted, so at least one more year of Lebron at Lakers without a doubt, why would he want to leave his son who will play at college level close to home, you need to consider these when rumors are flying, they picked his college based on where Lebron was playing.
1282  Economy / Economics / Re: A thought experiment: Inflation's volatility down through two currencys (pegged) on: June 15, 2023, 06:08:23 PM
Why hasn't just straight up said "we would decline to use this" and moved on? I mean its simple that we would see Elon Musk type of people trying to prove to the world that they are currency B type of people and have no money at all. Look at him even right now, he literally sold his house and bought a tiny house just to "prove" that he doesn't care about being rich, then spent 40+ billion on twitter just to prove a point, which he failed to be honest but that's how being rich works.

In the end, we should be looking into this situation a bit more carefully, it wouldn't work, we would reject it as society, people at currency B will want to look like they are rich and act as if they are currency A, and people at Currency A will make it look like they are poor and use B, that's not going to work.
1283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We the Bitcoin Enthusiasts, How can we Safequard our Holdings in Turbulent Times on: June 15, 2023, 05:20:42 PM
Holding? DCA? Those are the best ways to do it if you know what you are doing and there are a lot of people who won't follow that and sell when the price is going down. I am sorry but if you are selling because bitcoin price went down, then I do not think that you are going to end up with anything decent for the long term.

I hope that you would, but that doesn't mean that it will be the case. I know people are reaching to the maximum point of their patience when the price has been this low for this long, it's been 50%+ down from ATH for over 1.5 years now, and that makes more and more people stop waiting and stop holding. But that only means we are getting closer to higher prices again, the longer you hold, the closer you get to breakout of the price to a much higher price.
1284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Only 89 days left for Litecoin Halving event! on: June 15, 2023, 04:22:01 PM
Litecoin halving will be a good case to watch but just that alone will not make the market go up, and litecoin may go up a bit but I highly doubt that it would skyrocket considering the market situation. Sometimes good things happen at the bad times and the price doesn't change, for example ETH turning from PoW to PoS was anticipated a lot, even at phase 0 we had such a huge reaction and we all bought it and made the market go up, but when it finally officially turned into that, the price didn't move up a tall, it even moved down a bit.

So, I think timing is as important as anything else in that matter, and Litecoin doesn't seem like they have a great timing. Maybe it will help the market recover a bit, but I can't really guarantee anything like that at this moment.
1285  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] Should the Fed stop raising interest rates? on: June 15, 2023, 03:22:46 PM
I think it shouldn't really matter at this pace because they can make it as high as they want, it is going to bankrupt a lot of banks, and when the banks are bankrupting left and right, that will weaken the economy and when the economy is weakened we are going to see bitcoin price go a lot higher.

People are looking at the price today and making a prediction, but imagine what's going to happen in a year. In a year either the rates will be lowered, or if they keep it high a lot of banks will bankrupt, and we will have a halving as well, combine all these together and we are going to have a super skyrocketing breakout price that will be above ATH without a question. This is a wrong move but their wrong move works very well for us in the end.
1286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I predicted Chainlink, Pancake and many others right. Heres my new prediction on: June 14, 2023, 08:44:26 PM
And we have to believe OP? I do not think so. I was right about bitcoin itself, literally made 50000x since I joined even more, not that I see any of that because I didn't had any money but I have seen it go up this much, in the end this prediction has no legs to stand on and it will never be anything that would convince people, not this method.

"I was right before, I will be right again" has two major flaws, first of all how would we know you were right that much before, show us proof, we need concrete proof that can't be debunked, and I don't mean just some images of buy and sell, I can find that online, I want proof, and secondly just because you were right once doesn't mean you will be right again, hence it's not really a true approach.
1287  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto experienced bloodshed on: June 14, 2023, 08:09:36 PM
This ain't the first time, and won't be the last time. We just need to accept the fact that it is going to be like this for a good while and we will end up with a good and thoughtful period that needs to be considered as a big deal. I know that bloodsheds are unavoidable, so why not turn them into your benefit? If you know for a fact that bitcoin does go up and recover time to time, and you know that there are bloodsheds that crash the price, best thing to do is sell at the top and buy at the bottom.

It's not really that hard, sell when it's 5x higher, buy when it's 70% down, that's it, doesn't need to be all of a sudden, just check the bottom and see the increase from the bottom, and check the peak and calculate the decrease from there, you will do quite well if you kept following this.
1288  Economy / Speculation / Re: How high will Bitcoin rise, or fall, in 2023? on: June 14, 2023, 05:45:00 PM
It has already gone up as much as I hoped it would and that's a good thing to be on right now, I know that a lot of people want to see even more and I am one of those people as well but if we do not see a lot higher, even if we finish this year at 25k level, that would be good enough for me and I do not think that it will be anything big, there is really nothing that could be that bad. I know that it is not going to be a big deal, but holding at this price has no downside for me.

I do believe that it will go up somewhere in the later periods of this year, but I do not know if it is a sure thing, I just hope it does and have a prediction that it will but that's about it, nothing guaranteed and it is only a gut feeling so I couldn't suggest anything to anyone.
1289  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto;Bitcoin on: June 14, 2023, 03:55:36 PM
Bitcoin definitely got the love of many people and will continue to have it for a long time. People are reacting as if this is surprising but there is a reason why we love it, it's the best decentralized one. We are not worried about what's going to happen to it, we worry about almost all others and something bad could happen to all others and it could happen within, but nothing bad will happen to bitcoin like that because there is no within.

This means that we get to be trusting to bitcoin easily without worrying about what might happen, so that is why it's the number one ranked coin of all time and it will stay that way. I personally love it and I think it's the best thing we could ever hope for. I am not going to sell my bitcoin before anything else, it's the last resort.
1290  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain Tech in the Development of the Global Transportation & Logistics on: June 13, 2023, 05:53:59 PM
LTL is one of the hardest but also fairest ways of doing business, that is not an issue, that is a feature. Think about it this way, lets say you talked with a company and arranged a shipment, it's half full and not fully loaded truck but you paid for it, and they told you that it will be brought, then they go around and find another company and fill the next half, they will get paid by them as well, so they will be double booked, just like an airline selling your seat to someone else as well.

Maybe it doesn't change anything for the company, because they would do the job just like they would otherwise, but it's still double booking, I find LTL fine and not a trouble. Aside from that, the rest could be great with a software, blockchain backed or not, but they do not do it for some reason, no idea why.
1291  Economy / Economics / Re: Landed properties is the best investment on: June 13, 2023, 04:41:00 PM
Land is such an old fashioned thing, if you already have one single house then I do not see how it would be the best investment in any other case, not saying you shouldn't, that's definitely a good investment without a doubt but it's 2023, shouldn't be do something that wasn't done 5000 years ago? I mean in ancient Egypt (I am not 100% sure about this but I assume) if you had a lot of money, buying another house was probably a good idea? Certainly was at Rome, I know that much. So maybe in 2023 we could come up with something more profiting?

I am not saying we can, I am not saying land is bad, not saying bitcoin is better, I am just disappointed that thousands of us here can't figure out a better investment than buying land like people did thousands of years ago.
1292  Economy / Economics / Re: US Congressman Warren Davidson Filed Legislation to Fire Gary Gensler on: June 13, 2023, 04:00:59 PM
I think it is not that important who they are firing but the structural changes matter even more. Even if they had a great one, it's quite important to spread the power into multiple people instead of having just one person.

This way it would allow the SEC to be controlled by multiple people and that will benefit the nation even more. If they are aiming at 6, that means you would need 4 people out of those 6 to decide on something to act like Gary did, in most cases I would agree with that because that is the majority and you have to accept the wishes of the majority even if you disagree with them, that is democracy and even with its flaws, there isn't anything better so far. I believe that the best thing to do right now is to change the structure right away, would be lovely.
1293  Economy / Economics / Re: Wells Fargo mortgage staff brace for layoffs as U.S. loan volumes collapse on: June 13, 2023, 03:21:53 PM
I mean when the interest rates increase this much, what did people expected? You can't buy a 30 year house mortgage with 7-10% rates, that's just way too much, and some even offer as high as 15-20% depending on your credit score.

It was a lot better before the inflation and FED raising the rates, and that meant there was a period in history where people would buy 25 year mortgages with 0.99% rate, can you believe that? I would buy 10 houses for that rate lol, well technically I can't but I would definitely sell my house and get 3-4 houses worth my house and just rent them out and hope that would be enough (would be screwed on months where I can't get rent though). So loans are not going to be taken by anyone at these rates just yet, we are going to wait it to go down again.
1294  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can anyone Predict What's going on crypto market? on: June 13, 2023, 03:41:25 AM
Prediction is not the thing you should be trying to learn, because it is always a very wobbly result, sometimes you are right and sometimes you are wrong, so it would not be smart to try to predict. Instead you should try to learn how to wait, because waiting is the majority of what we do here and that's why it becomes so important to learn how to wait.

If you can wait long enough then you are going to be able to actually do something about it, but that doesn't mean that we are going to be able to do that easily neither. So, learn what you are doing at this point but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with correct prediction so just learn to wait, if you can wait then you could just end up with something much better.
1295  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much ,as you think ,is 1 bitcoin in 2025? on: June 13, 2023, 02:53:59 AM
Wow, great way of reviving a topic. It definitely makes it so much better, seeing people be hopeful about 10k+ is a great thing, we always knew that it would be this great so how many of us actually got wealthy thanks to this? I was here when this topic started and knew about bitcoin and yet when I look at it right now, I have to say that it doesn't really look like it is a big deal, not like I did anything right.

I think I have spent a bit too much bitcoins back in the day and I will live to regret that but I am quite happy that I was at least here, not many people could say that and I am glad that I am one of the few people who can say that I turned my life into full-time crypto instead of working for fiat. Very emotional topic, or at least it is to me, so proud to be here after all this time.
1296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security and Privacy in the Crypto Market on: June 12, 2023, 07:23:04 PM
Security and Privacy are very different things that needs to be taken care of. Security needed by everyone, it is something we need to protect our funds and I understand that is going to be to that easy, but we are handling it some way or another. I wouldn't expect it to do too well, obviously it is not going to be easy but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with some trouble, it will take a while.

I think it is quite important to remember that if you are giving your crypto to someone, there is a good chance you will never see it and that is the scary part about it, always keep remembering that. I know that it takes time to adjust in this market but that is what we need to do and that is what we will need for a long time.
1297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: June 12, 2023, 05:23:01 PM
I do agree that it's too early to discuss it, but not like we are going to see any different teams fighting for it neither. I still say the same four big names and sometimes they will be a bit worse and sometimes they can be better but it will always be like this to me; City and Madrid as the best teams, even when Madrid lost Benzema, I still keep them at the top because this is their cup, they love to win it.

After those two, we have PSG and Bayern, one is the greatest team at Bundesliga and the other at ligue 1, so it's not going to be easy to beat City and Madrid, but it's possible. After these four there are like a dozen teams that can be good, but I seriously expect these four to fight for it, and I can say this without even seeing a single transfer, it's like that every year anyway.
1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please recommend a reliable Bounty Hunter... on: June 12, 2023, 05:12:19 PM
There are many of them and you will find a good one eventually if you look at the right places, check the campaigns that has been going on for a long time and you will find good names. I do not want to give a few names and forget some and hurt their feelings so I think it is better to find them yourself, the ones that has been going on for 10-20 weeks or more will show you the good ones.

However, I have to warn about one thing, I have been part of so many projects before and I can tell you that bounty doesn't really solve anything or helps in anyway. Sure you will be heard by "many" but that doesn't mean you are going to get as much investors. I bet that you are not going to even get the money back as funding, so it may not really worth what you are doing.
1299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Im coutious about xrp warning on: June 12, 2023, 03:44:39 PM
I am not, I know what I think about it and nothing will change that. I know that it's a fake and boring thing and nothing will ever make it better and it will always be bad and I will never invest into it. That is as clear as day for me and if anyone still thinks that they could end up with anything nice then I have to say that it's not going to be that easy, it's going to stay like this for a long time.

I think it is clear that unless you have anything that is troublesome going for you, then you should feel at ease by not investing into ripple, it's just a terrible project that doesn't deserve your money. People who still have high hopes for it keeps kidding themselves and there is nothing wrong with it, it's just not that alright and shouldn't be considered good.
1300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 12, 2023, 02:46:51 AM
The good thing for Inter is that they have shown the world that they can go toe to toe with best of them, and yet they lost the league title to Napoli who had a historical season to be fair. So Inter has 2 things ahead of them right now and that will be a bit of a tough deal.

I think it's quite important for them to win the league title next season, that's what the aim will be, not saying they will but anything fall short of the league title is a failure for them, and that's a very very high aim, when even second is not good enough, that's just way too tough task. Secondly, they need to do decent again at UCL as well, maybe not finals anymore, but they need to be out of the group stages at least, and that's a tough one too, what if they face difficult opponents? That would be a very tough deal. League win + out of group stages would mean a great season though.
