1461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH vs BTC future growth potential on: May 03, 2023, 06:45:32 AM
I think the long-term growth potential of this cryptocurrency is significant, given its increasing adoption and use cases. However, it is important to remember that any investment in cryptocurrencies comes with risks and volatility and even if BTC may experience significant growth in 2024, there are many factors that could affect the future price of BTC, including regulatory changes, shifts in market sentiment, and emergence of new technologies.

The halving event in 2024 is not a definitive indicator of price increases, as it is ultimately subject to market forces. As always, investors in cryptocurrencies should approach their investments with a long-term perspective and a willingness to deal with potential fluctuations in the market.

Volatility does not scare long-term investors and holders because it is a headache only for speculators or mid-term investors looking to profit from bitcoin over a period of a few months. For the long-term investor, bitcoin is a fairly conservative investment, where the asset grows steadily every 4 years. This applies not only to bitcoin, but also to any known altcoin whose historical chart is similar to that of bitcoin, such as ETH.
1462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: palmpay project price goes up x20 on: May 02, 2023, 06:56:19 PM
One should stay away from this dubious shitcoin, which has such a graph.

It's 20 times cheaper and trades on all sorts of low-liquid exchanges. If someone thinks it has fallen that much in price and it is a good opportunity to buy and then make money, they could be in for a big trap. Many of the tokens on this DEX have a similar graph. The token is, in fact, totally speculative and there is nothing good about it except for its owner and early investors. The rest of us will be left with this useless "funny money" and will wait for growth their whole lives.
1463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think Blur will overtake Opensea on: May 02, 2023, 06:43:10 PM
NFT marketplaces apparently obey the same principle as centralized crypto exchanges, namely periodic change of the industry leader. OpenSea lost much of its credibility after the 2021 hype because it was a platform on which various fraudulent schemes parasitized. The emergence of a new leader was only a matter of time. Now OpenSea will have to try very hard to regain its leadership and credibility, although I am sure they will hardly succeed.
1464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Surprise back!!!! on: May 02, 2023, 06:13:21 PM
It is true that the price of Doge had a pump in price the moment Elon Musk change the Twitter logo to Doge from 0.07-0.1 cents within 24 hours. After that has the price crossed 0.1 cents till then? The price is still fluctuating around 0.08 at the moment.

Now few people pay attention to these, boring to everyone, ways of PR from Ilon Musk. Many have already realized that DOGE is too overbought and bloated, so there is not much profit to be made there. Now there appeared many new meme-coins, which grabbed attention of crypto investors, but DOGE with its turtle growth rate is not interesting for very few people now.
1465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price Won’t Go Down Quietly: Risk of Bounce Grows on: May 02, 2023, 05:32:44 PM
$1,290 is a great indicator and I think we may miss this, the bullish trend is coming to a positive situation with a price that will go up and down more than ever. This is because, for the majority of the miners that support the BTC, you should expect a rise in the price of bitcoin which will lead to a big pump in the price of ether. In fact, if ETH is to go down, it might have no effect at all, but the main reason is to have a low support price which will also allow the crypto community to start growing.

And what is at the $1,290 mark? That's not a strong level to consider as a good indicator. In my opinion, we need to stick to the $1,050-$1,150 level. The price has been consolidating in this zone for a considerable time and accumulation has been taking place. Although, I tend to believe that we won't see such prices anymore and we shouldn't wait for ETH price below $1,400, which in the long term is also a good price to buy.
1466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ($LINK) Chainlink Price Prediction on: May 02, 2023, 05:18:26 PM
Now LINK is in the phase of accumulation. Powerful support at the level of $6 is well working out its function. If to buy now, it is quite possible to hope for growth up to 40-60$ in the nearest 2-3 years. This project will not bring big profit, as, say, investors in 2017, but this project certainly can not be called a scam. In general, to add to his portfolio is quite good. Not an investment advice. DYOR.
1467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promising altcoins? on: May 02, 2023, 03:11:53 PM
How long is this portfolio for? If it is for a very long period, XRP is obviously superfluous there. Given the initial data, I would invest most of my portfolio in ETH, it has more growth potential than BNB. If you haven't already bought these assets, now might not be the best time to buy. The market is overbought, now there might be a lull and an expected big correction as everything has been rising for 4 months.
1468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLYGON as a national currency. on: May 02, 2023, 02:42:43 PM
Yes, Matic is very good for transactions and very good for NFT, but I don't think it's the right asset to implement at the national level as a means of payment just because it has low fees. Matic has too short history on the market, it's an altcoin and it's not reliable enough. It is unlikely that any country will choose any altcoin, ignoring bitcoin.
1469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best security measures are pivotal for crypto stability on: May 02, 2023, 01:54:20 PM
Is this the yet another shilling of the Oscar swap project and agitating the passage of KYC? You have the wrong forum, KYC can be useful for project founders as it can help avoid fraud and rug pull, only it is unlikely to benefit ordinary users, especially in the cryptocurrency industry. Cryptocurrencies are not created for us to throw away our personal data. There is no way I will send my passport data to some obscure service just because it claims that KYC is an extremely important element. It is not an extremely important element, it is an extremely dangerous element for the crypto user and should be avoided.
1470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH vs BTC future growth potential on: May 02, 2023, 01:19:14 PM
Ethereum has a strong fundamental and is part of a huge ecosystem, the demand for this blockchain is very high, so there will always be demand for ETH itself. Where there is demand, there is liquidity. ETH can also be used as a means to preserve the value of your money over an extended time horizon. For micro deposits, this asset is poorly suited because its growth is very limited and it is unlikely that the price from the very bottom of a bear cycle to the very high of the next bull run will yield more than x10 profit.
That is what I use it for. I know plenty of people USE ethereum for real, but I just invest and hold it, tried to stake for a while but it was too little return so I gave up, didn't worth the risk of putting it at a stakepool, so I just put it on my wallet and that's it, holding it for long term. I do not have too much anymore of course due to life situations, but I got some back recently and hoping to keep it as it is, not going to touch it.

In my investment portfolio I have all native coins of all known blockchains, ETH, BNB, Matic, Atom, ARB, etc. These projects have very strong fundamentals and they are constantly in demand, so it turns out to be a low-risk investment, more reliable, because the demand for these blockchains is very high and the coins themselves have quite a wide spread. Although I understand that these coins will not give big profits anymore, but it can be considered as diversification, because such projects are unlikely to lose all their value.
1471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone planning to take part in the Open Campus (EDU) Binance Launchpad? on: May 02, 2023, 01:00:18 PM
People come to such projects not for learning, but for making money. Given that such projects are actively discussed in telegram chats and there they post different answers to all sorts of tasks, squeezes, etc., people just click for the sake of remuneration, they do not learn anything there.
Given the idea of edu is nice. However since it launched with Binance, lets assumed almost all of joiners are into trading and making more money. Of course majority are after the profits and likely this will happened. I think OP want to test the generating income from IEO of Binance.

Me myself joined this one and already sold mine. I only holds those project that captured my attention and has a benefit for me in the long run or at least useful or have passive income.

No, I do not register on exchanges and do not pass KYC. Therefore, I will not participate in IEO. Such projects are being killed by cheaters who create huge farms and come to the projects solely for earnings. If the project will imply business model, where you can study something, read, answer questions and earn tokens on it, then I can say that such project is doomed. I would not invest in such projects for the long term, but for speculation and early investment it may not be so bad, given that it has already received support from Binance.

Electrum on: May 02, 2023, 07:31:01 AM

Quote

Electrum on: May 02, 2023, 07:02:56 AM

1477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What role have altcoinsplayed in the entire cryptocurrency industry on: May 02, 2023, 05:58:05 AM
Bitcoin, too, in its early days, had a hand in being associated with all sorts of shady dealings and fraud.
True, in the initial stages there were a lot of pump and dump and scams happening in the name of bitcoin.

Quote
Then, when regulation began to come into the industry, these associations were greatly reduced, but altcoins have intensified this effect over time.
Which regulations in this case?

Many exchanges began to introduce KYC, also more than 100 countries created tax and regulatory rules for bitcoin, many banks integrated with bitcoin and began to offer it to clients. That is, bitcoin became more transparent and began to gradually come out of the shadows, and the wave of scams moved to altcoins and various DeFi.

Quote
The paradox is that cryptocurrencies imply anonymity and decentralization, but where this very anonymity and decentralization is present, that is where fraud happens, if we talk about altcoins. You need a very fine balance between anonymity and trust in cryptocurrencies, and you can't do that with altcoins.
Anonymity leads to scams if not regulated or verified. That is why it is both an advantage and a disadvantage. People cant trust crypto because of this and the number of scams that run with the help of that and the internet continue at a constant rate.

Not a major number of regulations have been done yet, it would be worth seeing some happen in future too.

Even some developers of decentralized protocols are already thinking that this industry urgently needs regulation, otherwise there will be no further development, adopting a slowdown.
1478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment involves being realistic, doesn't it ? on: May 01, 2023, 06:49:20 PM
For other alts which is not listed at least at top 20 in the market listing site then its so hard to think about that we will provably earn huge with them. Since turn out of events like dev scamming is really possible, so if they want to invest much better if they could just choose the  top tier altcoins which gather millions of volume everyday qnd for this maybe they can get a best result and this could give us less stress rather than investing on new tokens.

I can tell you for sure that you won't make a huge amount of money even in the top 20. The point is that in the top 20 are projects that have already grown by tens and hundreds of thousands of percent. They won't grow like that anymore, well 3-7x at most in a 4 year market cycle. And that's it. What scams with developers are you talking about? Name me at least 3 projects that raised large investments from various funds and backers and that turned out to be scams? There aren't any. No need to cite the various garbage, which is placed on all sorts of dubious exchanges and DEXs. Always look at what funds invest in new projects, and then make a decision.
1479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: One Car at a Time: How NFTs are Helping Combat Global Air Pollution! on: May 01, 2023, 06:06:11 PM
When I see how they try to cross some shitcoin with some global problem and present these tokens as something utilitarian and helping to solve some problems of mankind, I immediately associate them with another scam with a beautiful legend. Does anyone believe that these NFTs will really contribute and help anything? The only thing they will contribute to is speculation on these tokens and lust for profit on another beautiful idea.

You are right about that, but with NFTCar, we don't have any coins or tokens, just NFTs. The first car we turned into NFT has VIN code: 1J8GK58K95W639564, so what it means is that everyone will be able to verify that this car is removed and turned into NFT.

Is there a solution to eliminating high-pollution cars from the society that doesn't require government involvement and allows everyone to contribute? Our NFT model currently costs $80, which may not be feasible for some, may be affordable to many.

You contradict yourself by saying that you don't have any coins and tokens, but you have NFT. NFT is a token of the ERC-721 standard, for example, if we are talking about tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. If you have tokens, then you can have speculation with those tokens and even wash trading to create artificial demand. All these things ruin the very idea of why these tokens were created and it all comes down to trivial speculation and pump and dump schemes.
1480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: they change the way we handle money and own things ? on: May 01, 2023, 05:25:44 PM
Are DeFi and NFT becoming more and more popular? I wonder if anyone can remind me of the last of the newly released high-profile projects from the DeFi or NFT category? I think those token categories lost their popularity a long time ago when the hype for those projects ended. Is NFT even of interest to anyone right now? Other than for speculation, does anyone buy these pictures? I have big doubts about the popularity of these tokens. Now the community is interested in the topic of artificial intelligence and various tokens-layers, 0, 2, etc.
The topic of artificial intelligence is very popular today, there are even some new coins appearing, but more precisely memecoin. The emergence of AI memecoins is currently making memecoins even more popular, even the increase can be up to thousands of percent in just a few hours.

In addition, the NFT market has also started to move again, but with some utility tokens. Currently $PEPE COIN (coin of the NFT PEPE) is popular and many have become suddenly rich with $PEPE COIN. just imagine, just buying $27 PEPE COIN in 4 days can get around $1 Million, it's very crazy and really hype right now.

https://twitter.com/DexGemsReal/status/1648575669641543681

Many cannot get rich, otherwise there is not enough liquidity for everyone. Only about 100 addresses managed to get millions on PEPE investments in a few weeks, no more. This is in no way consistent with the definition of many getting rich. Many just found out about PEPE exactly when the investments of early investors turned from a few hundred dollars into several millions. Everyone else rushed to buy due to the general hype.
