1701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why can't bitcoin be based on something that has value? on: August 06, 2022, 07:47:49 AM
Even gold isn't backed up by anything, right?  Grin
So why do people trust it and want to pay with expensive value? Because people believe Gold is valuable. The main thing here is people's trust. It is the same as Bitcoin, it doesn't need to be backed up by something because people trust it. People believe Bitcoin is something valuable and useful for human life. In this matter, something like Gold and Bitcoin is acceptable although it is not guaranteed by anything.

Bitcoin is software. Gold is an element that cannot be created by man. It has to be mined. And obviously there is a limited supply of it available here on earth. Gold is a precious metal that has many applications and uses. Bitcoin is just software. You can copy software and rename it. You can't do that with gold.

Anyone with particular knowledge can create cryptocurrency. But not anyone can produce gold because it is an natural mineral resource that has limited supply. While this is true, it should also be noted that bitcoin can't just be reproduced easily by copying and renaming. It doesn't work that way. If you will insist on doing so, you will definitely not succeed in renaming it alone. You can do another crypto coin, but it isn't guaranteed that it will be as valuable as bitcoin.

Remember, there are many crypto coins now circulating in the market, but not everyone has a value. Not everyone of it have the potential to rise up or surpass bitcoin too. Because without patronage, a crypto coin is useless.
1702  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading more efficiently on: August 05, 2022, 03:29:20 PM
Take it slowly. If possible, only trade using 1 or 2 coins at tops. Don't trade as many coins as you can because that will only confuse you that could lead to a mistake in decision making. Just like what they've said, 1 monitor is enough since you're just starting. Multiple monitors are for those who are professional already in trading. Risk management is important, don't put too much leverage per trade and always put stop loss.

Take your time perfecting your technical analysis. Don't be afraid to be left out by your friends in trading because there'll be always an entry for you. Patient is the key.
1703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Games or Gambling Considered Sports, really! on: August 05, 2022, 12:04:32 PM
Well, I agree since poker is a mind game, not a luck based one. As long as they could compete with it, I believe we can call it a sport. Also, there's nothing wrong calling it a sport, because when they are playing poker as a sport, they are using the casino money but the profit they would earn each battle won't be credited to them. I believe the price depends on what place they would get in the competition (if I'm not mistaken).
1704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it safe ? on: August 05, 2022, 11:01:44 AM
I actually wanna do p2p trading on binance . I wanna know how much it's safe . And is there any better option from P2P trading?

Other than checking the person account reviews in P2P if it has a good feedback, yes it is safe. P2P is the fastest way to withdraw your money, and you can ask the price you want if you're selling your coins. But if you're withdrawing your Bitcoin for example, then converting to an altcoin then send it to your local exchanger of cryptocurrency to fiat is much better for lower fee.
1705  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't sit on your hands on: August 05, 2022, 10:13:13 AM
Actually if they are lazy enough to research about strategy regarding about the possible price of Bitcoin when it goes down even more, they could literally just buy at whatever the price of Bitcoin right now, because we are too far from the all time high and all they would do is to wait for it to reach that peak again to gain profits.

Now, if the price dumps even more after they bought, then it's fine, because the bottom line is Bitcoin will definitely gonna make a new all time high after this bear market.
1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Gambling companies can get more users to deposit. on: August 03, 2022, 01:52:09 PM
The key import things in there were

 1. trust
 2. trust
 3. trust

then other

1. Choice
2. Experience
3. Privacy
4. Preference

Nowadays many projects fail in spite of offering relatively good benefits. If we find the reason, one thing that comes up is trust. Only those who can create such an environment in the market can survive in the future. That is why it is very important to implement the trust towards gamblers with having others facelifts.

Indeed. Trust is one of the greatest things that a casino or a gambling website should possess. It is crucial for every business to establish a connection with their target market and for their target market to continually trust them. Reliability and trustworthiness are two things hardly earned but could be easily taken away. Hence, a casino or gambling website should do their best to offer and provide continuous great quality of service to their players.

Of course, if a player trusts you, it's an implication that the service provision is good and they are overall satisfied. The trust is manifested by the keystones in the long run.
1707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in Moderation, Pros can out weigh its Cons in Financial and Health? on: August 03, 2022, 12:33:23 PM
Very good summary of benefits people have through gambling. I agree with all the points of your list, except the stress reduction part. Losing money can be a very stressful experience that can affect us for a long period of time. Gambling is a very exciting experience that leads for me to a lot of what if thoughts. Whenever I lose a big bet my brain keeps asking me why I didn't stop at the right time. And I am trying to look at ways how I could have prevented that loss. Losing is part of gambling and we need to learn to deal with it. Learning new skills is a very important part for me in gambling, I would put it on top of your list. Through gambling I learned to take better care of my money, keep track of my income and expenses and have fixed budgets. It also helped me to deal with emotions and evaluate risks better and more quickly.
The stress reduction aspect of gambling depends on the mentality of each person, after all something that can be incredibly stressful for you can be something relaxing for me and vice versa, however it is true that if someone does not gamble in moderation and they are abusing it then it is very unlikely they are going to get any stress reduction as there is not really a single person that likes to lose money they cannot afford to lose in a consistent basis.

Not only in consistent basis which I agree everyone get stressed after they lose the money but even if you overdo it like a couple of times.I never thought I would get sad because I lost some money that I can afford to lose but yesterday I thought to myself today I am going to play with a high bet and see in a short amount of time if I will be a winner or not,I play slot machines, and sadly I lost everything in less than 5 minutes.I thought to myself that I tried to hit it big and should not be worried, however my wife directly noticed that I was not in the normal mood I am always,so deep inside me I was stressed even when losing money I can afford to lose.

It's normal to be sad over losing money that you can afford to lose. I guess it's our body's natural response. After all, we have emotions and even though we try hard to control it and don't let it affect us in our everyday routine, there will be times that it will took over unconsciously. Just like being in an attitude for the day or out of energy.

I guess it's really a matter of mind conditioning and at the same time moderation in gambling. Despite the pros of gambling, we can't really say it will outweigh the cons most especially if you frequent lose bets. Self-discipline is really a must so you won't get caught up betting over and over after a win or loss.
1708  Economy / Gambling / Re: Online casino. What's the reliability of the technology? on: August 03, 2022, 09:32:33 AM
The technology involvement of the casino is wide important one.Because the casino with out the technology is like the eagle with out the eyes.Egale with the eyes will make some powerful sense. So you need to wait for the right time for the update of technology from the casino no used it wisely.

Technology is really important as well as innovation in casinos and gambling websites. They have to ride the waves or else they would be left behind. If they won't be able to follow the trend and adapt to the changes in the present, there is a high probability that they can't compete with the existing casinos and eventually be lost in the gambling industry. It's essential that they will always be updated with technological use and maintenance so that their security and the quality of service they are providing to their players will always be worth the penny.
1709  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: August 03, 2022, 06:21:17 AM
Gambling has taken place, in some form or other, for hundreds if not thousands of years, and is inextricably linked to the history of humanity.

From ancient China where indications of rudimentary games of chance were discovered on tiles, to Egypt where the oldest known dice were excavated, to scenes on Greek and Roman pottery which indicate that betting on animal fights was common and animals would be bred for that sole purpose, humans love to gamble and do so at every opportunity.Gambling is one of mankind’s oldest activities, as evidenced by writings and equipment found in tombs and other places. It was regulated, which as a rule meant severely curtailed, in the laws of ancient China and Rome as well as in the Jewish Talmud and by Islam and Buddhism, and in ancient Egypt inveterate gamblers could be sentenced to forced labour in the quarries. The origin of gambling is considered to be divinatory: by casting marked sticks and other objects and interpreting the outcome, man sought knowledge of the future and the intentions of the gods. Gambling dates back to the Paleolithic period, before written history. In Mesopotamia the earliest six-sided dice date to about 3000 BCE. However, they were based on astragali dating back thousands of years earlier.

Indeed, gambling has been existing long time before. Way back during the ancient times, it is already existing and a thing done by the past civilizations in their own ways. It was even mentioned in the bible and it was also written in several articles that there are proofs that gambling really exist back then such as artifacts and gambling pieces that the people used to gamble. And in art, it was also shown. There are so many art pieces that depicts gambling and betting before. Some were gruesome because they bet at that kind of extent just for the sake of fun and money.
1710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: August 02, 2022, 03:52:45 PM
I will agree though, specially those streamers that shows very huge win, in the millions of dollars that maybe some will go and try it for themselves and see how their luck will be.

On the other hand this streamers though could be paid so obviously, the results might be rigged so that those watching are going to be attracted. So it's a win-win for this streamers and the casinos or games that they are promoting.
I guess that’s how streamers are made on purpose, so they can always attract new players and the house will always take advantage on their money. Although there are streamers that are simply made for awareness, but mostly in streamers where they advertise huge wins, it’s either those winners are greatly paid or in some cases, those winners volunteer on their own.

Streamers can also use their capability in order for them to have a referral bonus, I have seen so many streamers now that is getting paid and get commission for advertising some gambling site. Streamers should also fact check the site as well before advertising it in order for them and for the people to have a safe deposit and safe credentials in case that the website has KYC. Some website needed to be legal as well before entering digital casino, it is more hot in the eyes of the government if a streamers promoted it.

This is pretty much common in streaming world. I guess this is one of their perks as a streamer and influencer at the same time. They get to promote the gambling site while getting paid for advertising it. In addition, they also get to profit and earn some money via sharing and encouraging the viewers to use their referral codes or referral links in signing up to the gambling website. With this, it's a win-win scenario for both of the casino and streamer.

I agree that streamers must do research and do a background check first before advertising and promoting a specific casino because it might damage his reputation and at the same time, for the welfare of the watchers who frequently check and stream their videos.
1711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Fengshui on: August 02, 2022, 03:21:12 PM

In short, this is a tradition and culture of the Chinese people that for them must really be believed and followed, or else you will be looked down upon no matter what you do in life. It's just like the topic you made for them if you want to win in the world of gambling those guides that they showed in the source you gave should be followed by gamblers who want to win and get lucky in gambling, that's all I see the objective of that article.

But in fairness, there are other people who are not Chinese but they follow this tradition thinking that it will bring them good luck in life and they did everything according to this Feng Shui.

People like to believe in things that give them luck. Who hasn't used a token in any form with the hope that it brings luck. Like bringing a small in your pocket to a big exam. As a kid I got some small crystal from my aunt from Africa, she told me that it has a lot of positive energy and I kept it with my pens through high school and university. Only the believe in it actually working helped me calm my nerves before important exams. The same thing is with Feng Shui, as long people believe in it it's helpful. A question I would have here is, if casinos build their casinos with a Feng Shui approach, are they doing so for the gambler or themselves? The gambler might look at it as better luck for his chance of winning. But isn't it also better luck for the casino owners to make more money? Or are these two cancelling  each other out and in the end nobody has a benefit.

I guess it's just really a matter of preference and a matter of belief. If you believe something might bring you luck and good provision then do it. As long as you won't harm anyone in the process of giving good luck to yourself, I don't see any problem. Each people have their own fair shares of beliefs, traditions, customs, and habits. Some were formed and introduced at an early age. If a person believes in feng shui, we don't have the right to question why they do because it's none of our business in the first place.

It's just that every people have their own strong suit. If they prefer to believe in one thing to gain confidence in doing anything such as gambling, then let's let them do it for themselves. After all, not everything is calculated. Sometimes, some things happen because of luck as well.
1712  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: August 02, 2022, 01:33:06 PM
I would be shocked if someone created or add Color game in a crypto casino. Color game is a Filipino game that is famous and could be seen on fiesta's and carnival. Color game widely known in the Philippines because of it's fun thrilling aspect which is droved by luck. I've seen someone digitalized the game and make an app for it but I still haven't seen any single casino that is offering the game. It's simply a dice game but If we play it in person or have an animation of the dice doing stumbles, It would be much fun!

A game which is popular in one specific country only has low chance to be implemented/added in crypto casino unless the base of the casino is in that specific country. A global casino will prefer to add popular games worldwide so it will attract players world wide. The same here in my country, there are some popular gambling games but I cant find it in crypto casinos. I would not expect those games to be available in crypto casinos but for sure it would be nice to see them in crypto casino.

I agree with this. Even though a game is widely popular in a specific place. it doesn't mean that it will be adapted internationally as well. Because most games acknowledged and used in most casinos or gambling websites are those known and widely played in most countries already not just in certain areas. Unless the casino might see something worthwhile to it such as being profitable and can gauge many traffic on site, then they could possibly incorporate it in their site. However, it rarely happens because including a game in a site has its costs as well. And certainly those casino owners want sure money.
1713  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which crypto sportbooks are VPN friendly on: August 02, 2022, 01:02:56 PM
The truth is that it is a great idea to be able to offer the service as a premium, so you can cover much more of your back and it could be an exclusive service, or it also occurs to me that the platform provides the service for those who do not know or do not want to pay VPN, they can offer a plan to play on their platform as they want, in hours, days, weeks, and this can look very good, because there would no longer be any type of restriction with anyone, that is, if a person is from a prohibited country, simply register under a VPN that has the same site and that the person can give their KYC without problem and use the site, but paying in advance.
But there will be no solution to loosen the country restriction rules that have been published on the website, so it is impossible for casinos to open premium or exclusive services to users from restricted countries, one way is to keep the access gate through VPN and users are advised to use premium VPNs so that no activity harms the casino account when you access the online casino.

Using VPN comes with risk. If the casino or gambling website someone is thinking to bypass the restriction prohibits the usage of VPN, then they must not try to use it there to begin with. Unless they want a headache and pile of troubles waiting at their doorstep, then go ahead. But if someone do not want to be troubled and be bothered later on with the consequences of using a VPN, then it's best to just avoid doing it and just find another gambling site that allows the usage of one.

Because as much as the VPNs are advanced and no matter how much they vouch that it won't be detected, let us all be reminded that the casinos are doing great measures of security too to detect those who do not follow their terms of service and policies. And once you got caught, you can't argue with any punishment the management will give you because to begin with, you knew the rules and didn't obey them.
1714  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: August 02, 2022, 12:28:51 PM
Lightning network was not implemented in many casino.Because it take additional investment for the casino owners. It was only in the talk, most of them had not implemented.Surely the fast due to lighting will be high as compared to the other transaction. It may be happened in the future.

As far as I know lightning network is already available in some casinos. Although there are only very few of them offering it just yet, it's good that there are casinos and gambling platforms that allows users to have alternative network to transact on. However, lightning network has some fees in transactions since it is instant. I don't think every gambler actually craves for it especially if there's an additional fee on the top of your transaction. In addition, as of now there's still a limit in the amount you can transact in one transaction. This might be a hassle for those transacting more than their maximum. But hopefully they'll improve its features soon so casinos would be enticed to adapt it in their networks usage.
1715  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: August 02, 2022, 11:56:30 AM
~
When I gave up was one one review site rated 1xbit so high. It was then I became convinced about the biaseness and shady deals that are done behind the scene to deceive us.

Review sites are being used as a marketing tool by casino owners, as we know, newbies always use review websites before using that. And when they sees good ratings then people agrees to use the website, this is the reason why scam like 1xbit are still in the market. Because they keep their good rating on the review website and newbies visit their website to gamble, and then fall into scam.

I personally do not trust any review website and always look at  forum profile to make sure they have no negative feedbacks

Not only that but review sites (or at least most review sites that I know of) are basically scams which offer to give glowing reviews in exchange of money to some online gambling casino they have never even heard of, researched or tried out. This includes scam casinos that aren't actually casinos. Although they are a bit more careful about that due to the fact that in some cases they can be held legally accountable.

Still, either way, review sites are the worst. I would not trust them either. Some people are gullible and believe everything they read there, though. What a sad way to lose money.

Best thing you could do is do your own research.
Precisely. With research, you will know that these turned to be good casinos are certainly those scam casinos that you need to avoid in the first place. Review sites are already controlled by them, as they always leave good impressions made by some paid users, otherwise they would not gain any customers at all. Although I’m not saying that review sites are not longer reliable, but in most cases they are almost made to lure new players.

I would go as far as to say that review sites are not any longer reliable and never have been. If you really think about it, review sites are just businesses. And the way they mostly make money is not by advertisement or selling merchandise of any kind, but they sell services. Which is what they like to call it. But honestly its just the review site selling good reviews, regardless of whether the reviewed website or online gambling casino in question is any good or not. Most of the time they do not even do their research but just copy paste whatever text they are given by the customer.

I understand where you are coming from. It's really hard to believe what we read online nowadays because everything could be false and totally fake just to gain a follower, profits, and engagement. It's a natural response for us to doubt if we see something good most especially if it's too good to be true because almost everything comes with a price now. These review sites are good platform to look at for newbies, however, these days, review sites become infiltrated with paid and biased reviews for promotion. Hence, it's causing confusion to the readers.

What's best to do still is of course, do our very own research and ask personally if possible fellow gamblers with their opinions, suggestions, and first-hand experience about a certain casino or gambling site. That way, we can verify that the information we got is legitimate and not just made up because it is paid.
1716  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Futures Trading is not for everyone on: July 30, 2022, 03:14:18 PM
If you're jumping out from your expertise or comfort zone to futures trading and think you could do it right away, then sorry but it ain't that easy. If you put a lot of time and money when you're trading on stock, you would do the same thing or maybe more on futures trading. There's no shortcut on being a professional trader, if there is, we would all be rich and no one will post something like this anymore.

It's more better to be proud of if you exert efforts and perseverance on it. Trading is not a rush or a competition, always trade at your own phase.
1717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: July 30, 2022, 02:21:35 PM
^ So as they say, they were employed and they are playing the casino's money.
Their job seem easy to do though. And thats waht I'm more interested to do, become a streamer myself and get paid hired by a casino than trying out what they advertise.

Slot is easy to play and addicting, thats why its among the top. Grand thef I can understand since its fun, teens like it.

Exactly.

I mean, that's 2 birds in 1 stone. You get the chance to try their slots while playing using their money and being paid at the same time, who wouldn't want that. But of course being a streamer ain't that easy that could be achieved overnight, unless a famous streamer plugged you in his stream.

I think the reason why online casinos are making such move is that because online gambling became the new normal mode of playing gambling instead of going to a physical casino.
1718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 30, 2022, 01:18:07 PM
It is a have to keep yourself busy doing other things instead of trying to play, even using a play money.

The system inside you will lead you to play back using real money. It's unavoidable.

Yes, that is exactly what I mean. Saying that a gambling addict will have the same or similar satisfaction gambling with play money is like saying that an adrenaline junkie trying to quit base jumping will have similar satisfaction jumping on a trampoline. Because the source of the high is not the same, the euphoria will be different. The same logic applies to pathological gamblers and their pathological behavior.

I strongly agree.

Also, playing gambling using fake money won't give you anything, you're just fooling yourself. Besides, using fake money doesn't contain any challenge, because of course it's just a game using fake money, compare to real gambling, it has more challenge since we're talking about winnings and profits. Using fake money can't heal someone's addiction, because it will just bore them to the highest and eventually they will start playing the real thing again.
1719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can change of environment have an effect on gambling addiction. on: July 30, 2022, 12:45:09 PM
In fact, those who become addicted to gambling become very difficult to withdraw from this gambling. Those of us who become addicted to something find it very difficult to come back. Similarly, those who are addicted to this game of gambling can never quit gambling.Yes it is possible only when a person realizes on his own that I am not doing this job well. Only then can a person get rid of gambling addiction.Otherwise it is not possible.
Gambling addiction is not easy to undo and most time it is caused by friends or boredom. We have so many gamblers who are introverts and the urge of gambling always increased because they have no one to talk to and because of that the gambling urge in them always increase. There are lots of environmental factors that can increase the urge of gambling addiction. We need to be careful the way we gamble to reduced any addiction that can make us a victim of gambling addiction.

I agree.

Being an introvert is not enough to assume that an introvert can get an addiction to gambling. Maybe there's no one around him (physically) that is addicted to gambling, or doesn't have any idea in gambling at all, but the internet is huge, where he can see a lot of people who are bragging their achievement in gambling which can trigger his interest towards gambling than can lead to gambling addiction in the long run.
1720  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The right time to invest on: July 29, 2022, 06:37:24 AM
Bitcoin all-time-time was $58900, now at $22000, a very good opportunity to invest. But if you know you can not wait for long term like 2 years or more, I will advice you not to invest, or invest what you can afford to lose. If you hold, you will make profit.

You can as well use DCA investment plan which should be better.

FYI, Bitcoin all time high was $68,990 according to coindesk if you'll look it up.

But it's true that investing right now isn't a bad thing, even though if it dumps even more below, buying at this point is a huge profit you can look forward in the long run, depends on how much you'll buy of course. Investing in Bitcoin right time is when you don't doubt it anymore to avoid regrets in the end, because doubting it in the first place won't give you any hint on what price you should buy.
