2201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: December 04, 2022, 12:08:59 PM
So will Spence defend his belts against Thurman? So if the WBC becomes vacant, who's facing Thurman? Usually, I visit each of the boxing belts' websites in order to track their rankings but nowadays Wikipedia has a compilation of their rankings, but it seems it is not yet updated. Keith Thurman is still ranked 4. It reminds me how corrupt and money-oriented the WBC is since they are now calling Thurman the mandatory after a tough win over a bum Mario Barrios while Vergil Ortiz, David Avanesyan, and Jarron Ennis are working hard to climb the rankings. Anyways, Vergil Ortiz will kill Thurman if they are to face each other for the vacant belt.

For Spence, it is not the best way to hold 3 belts in a division. Spence doesn't have the Ring magazine belt nor recognized by the TBRB as a lineal champion. That being said, the reign of legendary Manny Pacquiao at 126 and 140 where he didn't hold any of the 4 major sanctioning belts are way way better than Spence's 3 belts. Being recognized as the lineal and awarded the Ring belt is far better than any of the 4 boxing alphabets. So technically speaking, Spence needs Crawford because the vacant Ring belt can only be awarded when the top 1 and top 2 in the same division collide.
2202  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Japan fall behind in the crypto industry ? on: December 03, 2022, 10:43:41 AM
You are wrong mate. Japan as one of the leading countries when it comes to innovation and technology is also huge in the crypto industry. I am not very updated on them these days but there was a time when it is one of the largest volumes in crypto trading. Zaif a Japanese exchange was one of the biggest before. Japanese banks are one of the early testers of the blockchain. And Binance before transferring to Europe was based in Japan too. Just lately, Binance purchased a Japanese crypto exchange in order to bolster its market share in the Japanese crypto market.
2203  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear market likely over? on: December 03, 2022, 10:01:17 AM
Although the bitcoin price is recovering from the effects of the FTX scam, I consider the whole market as bearish until the year of the halving. What we have seen right now is just a recovery from the big bad news that shocked the whole financial system with a huge indirect impact on bitcoin the leading cryptocurrency. I expect next year as better than this year but still, it will have its ups and downs. The danger that I am looking into is if the war in Ukraine doesn't stop and its allies will play an indirect war which will be focused on economies.
2204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 03, 2022, 09:40:25 AM
So as far as Cristiano Ronaldo is concerned, at the moment we are on three rumors

-Saudi Arabia for 220 million euros over 3 years.
-Arsenal because of the interview that became famous
-Chelsea has recurring rumors about this sign but nothing concrete at the moment

I see Arsenal as the least possibility. Because they aren't in need of a striker at the moment. They definitely don't need to spend a lot of money only for Ronaldo in January. Even though Jesus hasn't been scoring goals for two months Arsenal have still been doing very good in their league games. The team effort is already at a high level so they don't need to splurge on a player now. Arteta has a quite nice budget in his hands now which is the truth but he would use it more effectively like increasing the number of good player alternatives.

Saudi Arabia might be like last resort for him in case he doesn't find a team in Europe.

The Saudi Arabia offer is just too big to ignore and since Ronaldo is starting to age already, no big teams might risk gambling a huge amount of money to acquire him. Cristiano Ronaldo is already 37 anyways, he should not get emotional when some teams aren't treating him like his prime years. If there are no big offers from decent teams then I guess we might see one of the best players ever compete in Saudi Arabia just like when David Beckham went to play in the United States. I think Ronaldo would've accepted the offer if Saudi is an open country and not located in a desert.
2205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what do you expect from cryptocurrency? on: December 03, 2022, 08:58:46 AM
Somehow, a bad world economy doesn't mean an advantage for bitcoin. If people are suffering from inflation and are on a tight budget, they won't have money to invest. The war Ukraine in Ukraine should stop which I believe happens next year. The world is better when it is at peace where nations and companies can focus on development and stability. Right now, I think bitcoin is starting to recover from its FTX indirect effects. But there will be no sudden big movements until the halving year. At that time, most nations are recovered from the effects of war and COVID-19.
2206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Is Approaching $17000 on: December 03, 2022, 08:27:47 AM
If you made a long, you already made a good amount of profit OP. Anyways, I holding long-term and am still planning to add more in the next months until next year. The FTX effect was still big, bitcoin support at $18k was strong and it continued to hold for months until the FTX big news and it smashed bitcoin support. The effect of the bad news though won't last long since bitcoin technology is free from manipulations so it's only a matter of time before it will recover again just like the previous years.
2207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN VS LANDED PROPERTY on: December 02, 2022, 06:18:03 PM
Right now if I have a piece of land lying somewhere undeveloped, I will be seriously thinking of selling it to take advantage of this current btc price. Landed property is as good as owing btc in your wallet because both of them both have long term value, lands don't usually depreciate in value except there is a natural disasater happening in that location that will force the price to devalue.
We already know how btc operates, so this is kinda tough since i would like to have them both, i will probably sell a part of the land to buy btc.  Wink

I am in this exact situation. I really would've tried selling my house and lot if not for my mother living with me at the moment. Although my property is located in a developing big city and its value keeps on increasing, I am still optimistic that bitcoin at its current price is a huge opportunity and it will provide me a better and faster return on investment. After many years of experience and observing the market, we seem to have more familiarity with the bitcoin cycle.
2208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: December 02, 2022, 05:54:35 PM
Team Secret's FB page posted that within just a few moments, they're going to have an announcement and I think that's the replacement of Nisha and it all escalated too quick.

Too sad that Nisha really has to go after 4 years but I think there's a better opportunity that has been offered to him. If Nisha goes to Team Liquid then he's still with a good team.

Edit: Team Secret already announced Boom as their mid player. --> https://twitter.com/teamsecret/status/1598663300983984128

and here's the article from Team Secret webpage : https://teamsecret.gg/blogs/dota-2/welcome-boom

I just hope Boom will be able to fill up the shoe that Nisha left in Team Secret. Like you said, 4 years is a long time playing with the team. There will be a lot of adjustments especially for Boom to fit the gaming style of the 4 Team Secret left in the team.

Is it confirmed that Nisha will be playing for team Liquid? First it was Topson, now Nisha. Both players are mid laners so Micke has to adjust to become the offlaner or Nisha will transition to carry offlaner. Whateve position he transition to, hopefully he fits well to his new team.

Weird. I thought Team Secret will remain intact after a strong 2nd finish at TI. And I thought that if in case they will drop someone it'll be Crystallis. Nisha is still very young and is already well-experienced, he will surely receive a lot of good offers. Team Liquid is probably the best team that needs a carry right now and the positioning can also be a valid reason to just look for another player since Nisha transitioned himself already as a great mid-lane.

Meanwhile, Gaimin Gladiators didn't just lose BOOM as they also parted ways with their coach ImmortalFaith who is now with Nigma Galaxy. Nigma Galaxy despite the fact that they performed weakly last season is still keeping its full players.
2209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 02, 2022, 04:22:17 PM
It's just funny though that Prograis said that his check has bounce

https://twitter.com/RPrograis/status/1597966053719838721

So it's about a million paycheck for him in his knockout against Zepeda. In any case, I think this will be solved since he goes to the media already.

It's was MarvNation, a small promotional company based in Southern California who won the bid in this fight beating some notable names in boxing industry with more than $2 million as a bid price.
I was surprised Top Rank was not the one promoting that fight neither was Probellum (Prograis promoter). Did it really go into a purse bid and MarvNation won it? Because the original call was Zepeda vs Ramirez but the latter showed no interest in a rematch. Hopefully, Prograis and Zepeda get paid asap.

Yes, it was MarvNation who won the bid, Probellum (Prograis promoter) bid $1,060,000 and Zanfer (Zepeda's promoter) bid  $1,004,500.

MarvNation bid a huge $2 million, but as of the latest, Prograis said that he got his bread already

Here is the video, maybe the bank just didn't clear it up as early because of the huge money involved or perhaps if Prograis didn't go to his social media, the money might be delayed.

https://twitter.com/RPrograis/status/1598430284600451093
I see. I did some search too because I wondered how much was Top Rank's bid. Can't find it though. But I learned that PBC also made a bid of $1.2 million. Anyways, it's a good thing both fighters received their purse. 140 will be alive and more competitive once again after Taylor vacated his 3 belts and his last 1 after his rematch with Catterall. The arrival of Teofimo Lopez and Ryan Garcia adds more flavor to this division. It says that Ramirez fights the winner but I think the former champion will pursue the WBO belt.
2210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: December 01, 2022, 07:37:39 PM
It is hard to predict. But I know that the next craze will start in the year bitcoin enters into another halving. So it is still actually bitcoin and then altcoins will follow. I believe the metaverse will become the next big thing in altcoins. Even Facebook and other private institutions are starting to build their own metaverse too. By 2024 and 2025 some metaverse will be ready by then and will officially launch. Play to earn and other ways of earning in the metaverse will be very interesting and it will become big.
2211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan December 10 on: December 01, 2022, 07:16:20 PM
It sounds like David Avanesyan is just a bum that Terrence Crawford will just dispose easily of. Probably because Avanesyan is not that popular. The division is flocked with amazing talents but the problem is they all belonged to different promoters and networks.

1. Errol Spence (WBA/WBC/IBF)- PBC/Showtime/Fox
2. Keith Thurman- PBC/Showtime/Fox
3. Vergil Ortiz- GBP/DAZN
4. Eimantas Stanionis- PBC/Showtime/Fox
5. Boots Ennis- PBC/Showtime/Fox

IMO, Avanesyan will beat Thurman. The only impressive performance Thurman made after his accident and long layoff was his losing effort against Manny Pacquiao. Probably he was motivated because he was fighting a legend but the rest of his return bouts from Josesito Lopez to Mario Barrios were all mediocre levels.
2212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: December 01, 2022, 06:41:23 PM
David Benavidez should know that after Caleb Plant, he will have to wait for at least 1-2 year before he can have that chance especially now that Canelo is still on the process of healing his wrist. So, a tune-up fight will likely happen as the first move that Canelo and his camp would take after the healing period before Canelo will take a much heavier boxers like David or Bivol. Who knows who will have the first dance because Bivol's priority is also Artur Beterbiev (if the latter defeats Yarde on the process)

It looks like Bivol is ready to adjust and go down in the weight division just to make the rematch come true.  So I think right after Canelo recovered, he might be fighting Bivol next.  So probably if ever Davide Benavidez wins this upcoming match against Caleb Plant, he needs to wait longer for a Canelo match.  He wouldn't be the priority of Canelo in its next fight since negotiation between Bivol and Canelo is still going on  and Bivol is ready to take the adjustment so there is a better chance of deal closure.

This is what happens when the champion is a superstar. David Benavidez is the interim WBC champion which means he is already the mandatory of Canelo. But corruption is common in boxing especially in the sanctioning bodies WBA and WBC. Now Benavidez is facing another mandatory which doesn't make any sense. If the rules will be straight-forward, Canelo will be stripped of his WBC belt if he won't face the Benavidez-Plant winner next. But I doubt the WBC will strip him. Don Mauricio Sulaiman is salivating for his percentage in the next Canelo fight.

Bivol will be eager to drop down in weight and face Canelo because he isn't getting Beterbiev who's facing Yarde next. Biggest money available while a chance to become a 2 division champion and an undisputed in just a single fight.
2213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 01, 2022, 06:14:24 PM

Dimitry Bivol being tired of Canelo Alvarez's excuses just stated that he is willing to fight him at 168lbs.  So Canelo won't have any excuses that it is not his natural weight division.  This is very interesting in the development of their rematch, I wonder if the match would include the defense of Canelo's current title.  Would be exciting if it would be  Grin.
Let's see if Canelo really has the balls. It should be a fight for the undisputed belts at 168. Canelo's top options now are Bivol, the Benavidez vs Plant winner, Andrade, and Charlo. If Canelo won't fight Bivol next, he will have an upcoming WBC mandatory probably against Benavidez.

It's just funny though that Prograis said that his check has bounce

In two days Tyson Fury is going to have a third fight against Derek Chisora and YuginKadoya seems to be the only one who remember it, as there were only few posts about this fight during last 30 days. It is time to wake up boxing fans Cheesy Why so silent ? No one is going to watch this fight ? Aged Chisora is no longer dangerous? Because Chisora havent won anyone convincingly since 2019? Undefeated WBC champion is about to have a belt defence, or even might have his last fight before retirement, and people show low interest in that fight. Strange...
Because Fury cherry-picked someone that has zero chance of becoming a world champion. What's more strange is he already beat the better versions of Chisora twice and they aren't even close. And with Chisora picking this fight in less than 2 months, Fury can probably carry the fight and can decide which round he will stop Chisora.

DAZN has the better event this weekend. The trilogy between Roman Gonzales and Juan Francisco Estrada.
2214  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is likely to head towards a price of $13,000 on: December 01, 2022, 05:14:18 PM
I believe we reached the bottom already last month. No need to wait and hope for bitcoin to drop to $13,000. So it was $15,000+ only unless a big disaster will once again affect the market. Bitcoin will start to recover and will have a mini bull run. I am still highly speculative that the next halving year remains the start of the real bull run where new ATHs will be reached. So we still have over a year of accumulation before the next halving.
2215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: December 01, 2022, 03:45:52 PM
You can still use bitcoin without any interference from private corporations and governments. There are some places where you can buy goods with it. You can use P2P and decentralized exchanges. That's still freedom.

Now if we are talking about living using bitcoin alone, it won't be that easy. Let's hope that all our necessities will be soon available by just using bitcoin.

Although I hate this because I came from a very corrupt nation but generally, governments cannot survive without tax. And some business entities might also prefer regulated currencies. Bitcoin will continue to become more valuable in the years to come but there will be more regulations from governments.
2216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Group Stage Highlights on: November 30, 2022, 05:42:55 PM
I also thought France would let some of its starters and sub them in the second half. Mbappe and Giroud have history to make but Deschamps believes that the safest way to protect its players from possible injuries is to rest them and relax.

Despite facing the second French squad, props to Tunisia for fighting until the end and managing a victory over the defending champions before they exit.

I cannot imagine the reactions of the bettors right now upon realizing that their expected squad didn't show up on the field.
2217  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cryptocurrency Law in Brazil on: November 30, 2022, 05:11:21 PM
As I am from Brazil, I have been following this for quite some time.

There is a fundamental problem here with this law, which can be checked in the portuguese version:

https://cointelegraph.com.br/news/on-a-historic-day-deputies-approve-cryptocurrency-bill-in-brazil
Abccripto, a group of old and low quality Brazilian exchanges is behind this law.

This group have tried many times before to as government to ban binance from Brazil, as binance offers a high quality service for very low fees.

You can see here abccripto asking central bank to ban binance
https://www.abcripto.com.br/post/abcripto-aciona-bacen-mpf-e-cvm-contra-corretora-binancehttps://exame.com/future-of-money/dinheiro-tendencias/abcripto-pede-que-bc-mpf-e-cvm-suspendam-operacoes-da-binance-no-brasil/

This group wouls never support this law if it didnt help them in their goal

In the end, national exchanges cannot compete with binance. They offer a bad service (low volume, few coins, high fees, instability and website goes down when price drops etc.. ). So they are trying to ban binance.

Biannce has now about 60% of Brazilian daily volume.

This seems like the same scenario in my country. A group is trying to not just block Binance from getting a license but to ban it and file a case and impose penalties since many of my countrymen including me are using Binance. Although current exchanges here are improving, they are still miles behind what Binance offers like the lower fees, high volume, plenty of markets and it is easier to use. I can feel who's behind the movement since that company is not offering BNB or BUSD while it offers some coins that have lower values.

Nonetheless, the news is still positive, especially for Brazilian crypto enthusiasts. Maybe the next debate is about letting Binance enter the Brazilian market.
2218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first attempt to play gambling on: November 30, 2022, 04:27:54 PM
I think the first experience I gambled was when I was around 7 or 8 something. No money was directly involved at that time since we gambled using cards, rubber bands, marbles, etc which we bought using money. My first attempt to gamble using money was when I was 9 years old in a horse racing machine. I was excited but I was also scared at the same time if ever I win since I cannot easily hide the money and my mother will get angry if she knew I gambled. It was a crazy experience. In the end, I was happy and contented when I lose my bets.
2219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market will come back bigger again on: November 30, 2022, 01:58:38 PM
The cryptocurrency market has its own ups and downs. The previous years' setbacks were way more challenging and difficult because crypto at that time is not as established as compared to today's. What happened to FTX and its sister companies affected the market in general but we cannot anymore hear big names and companies and governments proposing to ban crypto. Instead, it is all about implementing more regulations towards crypto so that what happened today won't happen again in the future. So I am more confident than ever that the market will once again recover and then establish another series of all-time highs.
