Actually, I think most campaign owners will simply not allow a user with negative trust (given by a member of the default trust list) to join their campaign, regardless of whether or not the feedback was unfair. Even PD doesn't accept them anymore.

But I completely agree with you on the rest: buying and selling accounts, especially older accounts, and those with previous trades, completely warrants the negative trust, in my view.

That's news to me.
I generally know Stunna as being a rather reasonable person.

Quote from: Stunna
If you are marked a scammer by the community with valid negative trusts with references, you will be denied payment.

Stunna has said that it needs validity and to have proper references.
It would be great if someone with first hand experience with this situation could enlighten us , as I'm pretty sure that Stunna wouldn't withhold payment needlessly.

Hmm, not withhold payment, but I think he said the campaign would no longer be accepting people with a negative trust rating - that is, you would no longer be able to enroll into a new month with the campaign (this after the new enrollment system was created). I'd try to find the post where he said that, but finding anything in that thread is hard. Tongue

[...] Bitcoin has 7 letters  Cheesy

So does Satoshi. Smiley

FACT:  If every couple had 7 children, the earth would be fatally overpopulated in 7 generations.   Shocked

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't need 7 generations of that going on for the earth to be fatally overpopulated. Two or three at most would be enough, really. Tongue
2443  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Tracking on the web on: July 23, 2014, 07:16:27 AM
Its also now going to get a bit harder to avoid being tracked as there is a new technique where a website instructs your browser to draw an image which is unique to every computer.

Problem with this is that, there is no known way,(yet) to block it.

I haven't heard of that one yet; do you have any source where I can read more about it? Still, I have to say, it seems unlikely that current security addons wouldn't be able to stop that.
2444  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you earn money online? on: July 23, 2014, 05:46:06 AM
There is nothing like "wrong" trust.

It literally means that that person does not trust you !

If I know you as a reliable user , with a lot of trust on the forums , if you sell your account ,  I will be very very suspicious.
Why ?
Because it is very likely that a scammer has bought your account , to scam and you should not be trusted.

You cannot blame anyone for not trusting you.
DefaultTrust is broken in this way , but if you manually set your trust list , you will only see trust ratings from people who you yourself trust. If you trust a person , you should expect the people they trust to be trustworthy.

On the other hand , any good trader knows to check each and every trust rating and will first see why you are untrusted before jumping to conclusions. If you have wrongly got negative trust , you should contact the person who put the negative trust and explain your case. Secondly , even the trader (or in this case the signature campaign owner) should be made aware of the situation. If the negative rating is baseless , they will undnerstand.

Well guess I'm scratching fastbluff off Bitcoininformation will be surprised to see this one.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=684966.msg7979904#msg7979904

This is our last signature campaign week, you all can blame Sed, we are going to just use traditional ads, we were enjoying this until the trolls showed up. Gweedo will be making an announcement tomorrow as he is really the one that pulled the plug on this!

That seems like an awfully disproportionate response, for what I assume was a simple misunderstanding. Oh well, I guess that's why people often hire someone else to do this for them. Roll Eyes

Dear all people hating on Canada,

Why are you hating on us? We're a great place! We have everything you need, except for a slight lack of industries. But you can change that!

Signed,
     A concerned citizen

I don't exactly hate Canada, but I have to say that the following couple of things don't do much for its good image: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seal_hunting and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Harper. Tongue
2447  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: July 23, 2014, 02:53:09 AM
I'm not involved in this dispute between sed and fasbluff, but if fastbluff doesn't pay for certain posts made during the advertizing period, I think that should be noted in the description on the OP here.  From what I can tell, fastbluff isn't denying that fact, he seems to be saying that that's his policy and that sed ignored it or something.  But for our purposes here, we can just note it in the OP and move on, I think.

Bitcoininformation is on vacation apparently, so it's not likely the OP will be updated anytime soon, but I agree with you tspacepilot: it's better to err on the side of caution and inform people beforehand of what is expected of them, and what they can expect from the campaign they're joining, in order to avoid things like this in the future. So, I'd recommend that not only the information be added here, but that Fastbluff clarifies his position in the campaign's OP as well.
2448  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid for your signature from FXOpen. Weekly payouts. on: July 23, 2014, 01:28:41 AM
Hopefully this signature campaign will be back in the future. I think this is the highest paid signature and the most punctual payer.

Idneed it was a great campaign. But sadly good things don't last forever. Even the longest running campaign, primedice lowered it's rates lately.

I don't think they did; at least I saw no information about any change in rates recently, or in the OP from PrimeDice, for that matter. What PD did do was to lower the max posts allowed per month to 400 - but how much you're paid for each post remains the same.
2449  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Bitcointalk.org forum accounts ***prices lowered*** on: July 23, 2014, 12:15:19 AM
are you also buying accounts as well?
The only account that I would be willing to buy is the Tradefortress account.

Other then that I do not buy accounts as it is too risky. I create my own accounts.

Out of curiosity, why would you want to buy his account in particular? To have the record on least trusted score in the forum? Tongue
2450  Other / Off-topic / Re: Recent payments! on: July 23, 2014, 12:03:27 AM
Spending your BTC? Nah, just hoard them, man! They'l be worth much more in the future. The only thing is you have to make sure to spend them before your death or they won't be of much worth for you anymore. You most likely won't be allowed to keep them in your next incarnation!

Well, if you really believe you will be returning to Earth after dying, you can trust the Gibraltar registered Reincarnation Bank: Afterlife financial planning to keep your btc: http://www.euromoney.com/Article/2626650/Reincarnation-Bank-Afterlife-financial-planning.html. Grin

Quote from: Euromoney
"Reincarnation Bank offers a safe-keeping for any asset you wish to deposit through your transition into the next life," its website trumpets. "If you leave nothing purposely behind when you die, then what is there here for you when you return?"

The bank kindly offers to look after deeds, bonds and tangible assets such as fine art, jewellery and real estate. In the next life, all claims "may be subject to verification through regression", which means you will have to prove under hypnosis that you are who you say you are.

2452  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Bitcointalk.org acount Sr. Member on: July 22, 2014, 11:38:22 PM
He is right , Hero Account worth 0.85 - 1 BTC and Sr.member worth 0.5-0.6 .

And how did you come up with those values? I would say that accounts are worth exactly as much as people are willing to pay for them, and there doesn't really seem to be that much demand. Tongue

On the other hand, I don't think this should really be allowed at all, particularly in the case of older accounts and accounts that have positive trust associated with them - but of course it's pretty hard to enforce such a rule.
2453  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pick one :D on: July 22, 2014, 11:18:40 PM
I choose playstation 4
if you could pick the two I would choose the PC also
BTW what is it OUYA?
whether OUYA can play games Highend ?

Well, the OUYA is a game console based on a modified Android system (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OUYA), and looking at the hardware, I'm not sure it can run a lot high-end games. Well, actually, even if it could, the list of available games is rather small - it was never very popular, it seems. You're better off sticking with a PC. Tongue

I play chess everyday, but i don't like it. I have no choice, no other game.

Considering you have a net connection, how do you have no other choice but chess? There are tons of sites with games of all kinds (including other popular board games). Tongue
2455  Other / Off-topic / Re: Apollo 11 fake or real? on: July 22, 2014, 09:48:14 PM
shits real its in the wikipedia.
You do know wikipedia has an edit button.. right? and you
can post and edit anything..
like anything...

Yes, Wikipedia has an edit button and people can edit articles themselves, but there is still a review process, which will in most cases catch nonsense people might add: try editing the relevant articles there to say the Moon landing is nothing but a fake and see how it goes. Tongue

That said, people should not take everything they see in the site at face value, and should still go look at the sources in which the information is based; that's why you have the references there.
2456  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Browser You Use on: July 22, 2014, 01:13:01 PM
They probably went with the "Other" option initially, and since you didn't give people the option to change their vote, they didn't. Tongue

By the way, can you still change that poll option now, or is it no longer available?
What changes you are asking for ? If they are relevant yeah I can make them.

I think there is a poll option that allows users to change their vote anytime they want, after their initial choice; but there are a few options that you can only select when creating a poll, so I was asking if you could still change that now. If you can still do it, and you think it's relevant, turn that on - maybe some people have changed their minds since you created this thread. Smiley

Wait why is netscape an option
LOL netscape is an option.
Who knows maybe someone living under the stones still using it.
can't count them out. can I.
Initially it was not an option on the list neither was lynx but one day a member complained about it , so I added it afterwards , that member didn't even voted :p

2458  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel: Operation Protective Edge on: July 22, 2014, 08:14:09 AM

As for the Arab population already living in Israel, let's not forget that they are still treated as second class citizens, subject to a lot of discrimination, ranging from how they are portrayed in the public discourse, to an imbalance in the distribution of resources that leaves many Arab communities impoverished, and with limited access to education and healthcare.
That's an outright lie.
The resource distribution they receive is equal to all other cities out there, whether arab or not. The reason their cities are sub par with non arab ones is their own doing.
Their majors and local representatives allocate the funds elsewhere (corruption and whatnot) and more so, a lot of arabs do not actually pay tax so whatever funds they suppose to get back from their tax they do not receive.

And as far as their public appearance, it's their own doing.
You can barely see any Israeli-arabs supporting the co-existence with Israeli-Jews whereas the ones that wish to spread hate, just hope on a bus and go from one arab city to another and spread the hate there without interference from local folks.
Actually, that was the case until for the first time, a few weeks ago, they were stopped at Akko by local merchants who did not want the riots to cause  Jewish tourists not to come visit.
Hopefully more Arab-Israelis will stand up for the country they live in.

Also, their political representative do nothing for them at the Knesset. All they meddle with is the palestinians and not the people they should represent. Sad.

So basically, in your view, if they are discriminated against or effectively have worse living conditions than non-Arabs, it's all their own fault. Do you think your opinion could perhaps be a bit... biased? And you can argue that there is corruption and that accounts for some of the discrepancy, but to say they aren't effectively treated as second class citizens and afforded less resources directly by the central government is ridiculous. But don't take my word for it, go check the Human Rights Watch or the US State Department's country reports on human rights practices on Israel, for example. If you're into lighter reading, I believe Haaretz occasionally reports on this subject as well.

Still, and getting back to what I was saying (in the part you didn't quote), this is irrelevant to the point, as Israel doesn't want a one state solution to begin with, or for that matter a two state solution that would leave a viable Palestinian state.

Attacking the source doesn't disprove the accusations. Israel initially denied, but eventually had to admit to using white phosphorous rounds in Gaza in the 2008/2009 war, on densely populated areas, even ending up hitting a UN compound with them. In relation to depleted uranium and DIME rounds, it is widely believed that Israel used these types of weapons since at least 2006, and the cancer inducing effects of these types of ammunition have been studied for over a decade; Iraqi civilians, for example, are still suffering from these effects with the depleted uranium rounds used by the US.
Israel admitted using it according to the international law. The UN concurred this as well.
And it wasb't dropped or used "on" densely populated areas (that implies that that's was its main intent).
It was used to mask soldiers in order to evacuate them.

You're technically right in that white phosphorous rounds aren't illegal when not being used for their incendiary or toxic capabilities, but its "systematically reckless" use (Goldstone Report) on densely populated areas still had the predictable consequences on the civilian population: killing and wounding scores of civilians, property damage, the UN compound set on fire, destroying tons of humanitarian aid, and at least one hospital similarly being set on fire, forcing its evacuation. Further, in many cases which Human Rights Watch investigated its use, there were no Israeli forces nearby which would have required it be used, and further pointed out that there are far safer alternatives that can replace white phosphorus rounds.

And if you didn't like the article Chef Ramsay presented merely on account of its source, here's another from Haaretz, also commenting on Israel's likely use of DIME weapons in Gaza: http://www.haaretz.com/print-edition/news/norwegian-doctor-israel-used-new-type-of-weapon-in-gaza-1.268394.
2459  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Bitcointalk.org SR and full member accounts on: July 22, 2014, 04:37:23 AM
I have no interest in buying any forum accounts, however two months is really not a long time to make your money back and then some. There are few other investment opportunities that will allow you to make this kind of money.

Sure, 2 months isn't a long time for an investment, but you have to consider it's an investment that requires work: namely, posting over 400 times, which not something everyone has the time and/or patience for. Also, PD is planning on changing its payment structure, so there is no guarantee this would even be profitable any time soon - and we all know how stable most other campaigns are. Tongue

Pretty sure you are selling hacked account, this is the reason why we can't know the username... Also why are you using "Newbie" account ?
I am not selling hacked accounts.

Although selling forum accounts is allowed as per forum rules, it is frowned upon by the community and people will negitive trust the accounts, making the accounts worthless as most signature campaigns want accounts with neutral or positive trust.

And especially if the accounts have past trades, with positive trust, I think the negative feedback is warranted as it can easily promoted scamming. Speaking of which, where is Vod? Wink
2460  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Bitcointalk.org SR and full member accounts on: July 22, 2014, 01:02:48 AM
still selling. Have had several transactions go very smoothly.

[There are other compaigns that have higher posting limits as well.

Your activity is based on how many two week periods you post using your account. It would be very well possible that someone could have joined the forum recentally and has not accumlated enough activity yet. A user could also want an additional account to earn extra from signature campaigns.

Your information is a bit messed.  Primedice is currently the top paying signature, 0.48 BTC a month at hero member status, and 0.4 BTC a month at senior member status, MAX.
Monbux - PD is not the top paying signature campaign, FXopen is. However even if you were to accept the assumption that you can only make .40 BTC per month, you would ROI in less then two months and earn a 60% return on a .50 BTC investment after two months.

Unfortunately, FXOpen is closing after the last payment period; that is, tomorrow. So Monbux is right: in the pay per post campaigns, PD is the highest paying one at the moment, and you'd need 2 months at least to make up for the account (and post like hell to get there). Wink
