The warzone in Ukraine is far more in east than where Kiev is located.

I think Hotmine is located in Kiev, since that is where my shipment was sent from.

Corsair AX series is good as well.

Ok, i want to buy some PSU´s at 110v for L3+ ,  it would be great if some of the old miners can help with some questions

Its safe to run this L3+ on 110v ?

What PSU at 110v you recommend?

Thanks in advance  Smiley

Just buy the AP3+ for $100 from bitmain why take the risk.

Can you plug the AP3+ into a 110v outlet? or do you require 220v?
No, APW3 and APW3+ does not work with 110V, so that is a crappy advice.

You might want to consider one of the following PSUs when you have 110V:
-Bitmain APW5
-HP DPS-1200 with breakout board and PCI-E cables (sidehack here at the forum has these  Wink )
-EVGA power supply.
2964  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer R4 - dead hash board? Shitty design, read before you send it back on: May 12, 2017, 06:20:35 PM
Actually Bitmain Warranty has a repair service location in Denver, Colorado.

I've never heard about any Los Angeles location.
2965  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The quietest SHA-256 miner? on: May 10, 2017, 01:06:37 PM
Antminer R4 is a silent miner model.
Other miner models: you need to be able to underclock it to achieve lower noise level.

And yeah, there are no R9's or R7's, you must be talking about Antminer S9 and Antminer S7.

edit: Oh yeah whoops, S7-LN is a silent miner as well, of course.
2966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash mining vs traditional mining? on: May 09, 2017, 06:53:17 PM
DON'T MINE WITH A LAPTOP. This has been mentioned here at the forum like thousand times. It is not a sensible idea.

Get some proper low-cost desktop PC with high-end GPU cards and look for altcoins like Ethereum, Zcash... and maybe compare them with Nicehash mining.

Go to the altcoin section to find out more.
2967  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Only chip? No PSU? No refrigeration? on: May 09, 2017, 03:20:32 AM
No, you won't save any money by going down that road.

You should also see how much it costs for you to run the miner and then estimate if you can make ROI on any miner model by using Bitcoin mining calculators found online.

You will need a lot of reading before you fully understand everything related to Bitcoin mining, but it is not rocket science.

There are lots of information available online and here at the forum in existing threads.

I have sent many times "order" with contact form but I don't get any answers.
They have products but don't want to sell them??

Latest info that I know is that they should be able to take orderds in April-May time.
I don't know if they are still preparing for it.

Quote that I'm referring to:
Hi guys.
I`m Alex from Hotmine team.
Thank you for your feedback and interest.
Sorry that it is hard to reach us. Working hard to provide stable and well performing devices.
We will provide all info and start accepting orders soon in April-May.
You can left your orders on the website or PM me here so we can prepare our stocks.
2969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3+ on: May 08, 2017, 05:48:58 PM
I'm not trying to bully by saying this. I'm just so tired with people posting things in non-relevant places and mixing it all up.

Altcoin section is there for Litecoin, Ethereum, Zcash, you name it..
2970  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Only chip? No PSU? No refrigeration? on: May 08, 2017, 03:28:28 PM
You don't buy the PCB without heatsinks, control board, fan and everything. That's stupid.

Also thinking about refridgerator is stupid.

Cooling is all about air circulation. Cool air in and hot air out.

Find a whole miner plus PSU and then introduce yourself to the specific tutorial.

See this S5 tutorial by user dogie for example

2971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3+ on: May 08, 2017, 03:20:05 PM
You might want to ask Bitmain about needed documents and certifications for customs.

Also this area is for Bitcoin hardware, not litecoin.

Can someone please recommend me an ATX power supply on US 110v and how you safely get 9 PCI plugs out of one?
I would go with EVGA.
https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=120-G2-1000-XR

This has 8 PCI-E power plugs, so I would also get a well made PCI-E power splitter to have power for the controller board.

2975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lite coin mining startup. need help on: May 07, 2017, 02:05:42 PM
This doesn't belong to Bitcoin section, as it is litecoin -related.
You can move this thread yourself to "Mining (Altcoins)" by clicking "Move thread" in the down left corner of this page.

Check out this tutorial for Antminer L3 https://www.eastshore.xyz/tour/#tab-1484113326324-17-5

Hi guys,

Just a small question what is meaning "FIAT" ?

Thx in advance
"Regular currencies" like US Dollar, Euro, Japanese Yen  etc. ...
2977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin mining on: May 07, 2017, 10:05:24 AM
I'm not moderator.
You can move this thread yourself.
See the down left corner of the page that says "Move topic".

With GPU mining you should consider Ethereum or Zcash for example.

This pool is pretty much dead, so folks it's time to move to another pools.
This pool cannot be operated with a absent pool operator.
I'm sad to say this as a ex-Eligius miner.  Undecided
2979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin mining on: May 07, 2017, 09:59:45 AM
Litecoin is based on scrypt algorithm.
Scrypt mining today is pretty much only viable with ASIC hardware, like for example Antminer L3, A4 Dominator (Innosilicon)...

Also this is not about Bitcoin mining, so this belongs to the altcoin section.

This is a scam. It is not a real product.
