301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 09, 2020, 03:25:39 PM
Majority of people who are engage with gambling they are that kind of solo ones which they dont really much attached to other people on what are the things that they've been doing.

and when unfortunate events do happen then they do tend to solo it and that what makes more stressful which would really create that emotion in you on where you do think into some things

like committing suicide specially if you do know that you are playing and lost a loaned or borrowed money then that would amplify even more on what you felt on that time.
In result? high chances that you would really end up on this situation unless if you are really well on handling up your emotion then you wouldnt really care.
I think why most of the gamblers who are in great debt tend to own his problem without telling others is because they probably don't want others to think that they are losers. Or like, even if they tell others, they still won't be able to pay it off, especially like this boy who is still a teenager.

Not being able to handle this kind of situation can lead to bigger stress or even depression that is why we have been hearing numerous stories of people destroying or trying to end their life because of gambling.
302  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of "Pay original fine" - a scam method on: November 09, 2020, 01:32:17 PM
As scam continues to spread, people should be vigilant in choosing and trusting an exchange. Based on the delivered statement regarding the suspension of an account, be sure to make a search before sending your funds as a charge to retrieve your account. Additionally, learn to choose a reputable and verified exchange, considering the fake exchanges that may fool you to embezzle your funds. Upon seeking some information regarding these fake exchanges, it turns out that there are other exchanges with a similar web layout scamming people.

Which can be seen on this review website. (The content of this website is in the Russian language but this can be translated into English to understand the content)

Really sad, RIP to this young boy only 19 year old and now engage heavily in gambling he should go to school at his young age and not doing gambling and the worst is the money is from his friends thats why he decided to end his life out of pressure and fear he might face if he tell it to his friends but after-all its only a money he can earn it in due time and can pay his friends not committing suicide.
Indeed, he's still young that he can't manage his emotion being in that situation wherein he should not be in the first place. It's a lesson that we should not chase our losses because the more we keep chasing it, the more we get dragged to it. Also, ending your life won't solve the problem, it will just add and give more burden to the people around you.

His situation was too heavy for him to handle, and it's just sad to think that he could have enjoyed his life since he's still young, if he did not get so addicted to gambling at this age.
One of the cons when you do let yourself do fall into the verge of addiction where you cant able to think that well on how things should go but instead you do decide to end up your

life for you to solve out everything which its just a really bad decision to make and its true that you might able to resolve your problem but to think that all of your loved ones left

will really be having a problem not only on emotional aspect but also into financial yet burial does cost expense unless if you do belong to a wealthy family then it wont matter
but if not then that would be an another problem created.

This is why we should really be careful on dealing with gambling yet it can mess out someones life.
He was too young to experience that situation and the burden of being in debt with his friend that he knew he can't pay. But he did not actually solve his problem, he just tried to escape it by ending his life, now, his family has to carry the problem.

Excessive gambling can give such a lot of problems but ending our life will never be the solution to it. As a gambler, you choose to gamble so you should be responsible for it. But we can't undo what happened, this will just serve as a lesson to us.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you are new to crypto this is for you on: November 08, 2020, 02:40:45 PM
Someone have to do this from time to time, I believe that many newbies are still victims to scam projects till this days, we gotta keep warning them, not all can be safe but as for those who want to learn, here you go

1. Learn to control your greed
2. Money making should come last, learning is the first thing to do
3. Do research on exchanges as there are many bad eggs among the good exchanges
4. Follow the crypto investment rule, don't invest more than you can afford to lose
5. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, diversity is the way of winners in crypto space

All the best.
You will always see this advice here on the forum and this also applies to every one of us, not just to newbies. Greed is normal since we are just humans, but too much greed can lead to a problem and it's not that easy to control it, we need to have good self-discipline. Also, before we invest, it's necessary to know about the nature of investment and what projects are good to invest in. In the crypto space, not all projects are legit so it's our part to make prior research before investing.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The right investment for cryptocurrency... on: November 07, 2020, 06:50:22 PM
This kind of advice is not just for cryptocurrency only, this also applies to different kinds of investment. When we invest, it does not matter if it's a little bit smaller or not since we all aim for the same thing, and it's to make our investment grow. Investing is a risk, so before investing, we should know what to do and also be ready for other possibilities. Don't invest what you can't afford to lose, this is what we really need to keep in mind, not only for beginners but for all of us whenever we invest.

307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP 10 Lottery Winner Losers on: November 07, 2020, 05:03:55 PM
It's a matter of how well you manage your winnings. Winning a jackpot does not always come to us, so if we're given that opportunity, we should use it wisely. And I think that's what some of them forgot because they were probably so excited about the money that they forgot to think critically. As for the other cases, it really sucks to have some toxic people around you that just because you win, they will take advantage of that and use you.

They won big time, but it did not result in a good way, their happiness was just temporary because of their greed or the greed of the people that surrounds them.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uniswap has made it easier for scammers? on: November 07, 2020, 04:31:03 PM
No one forcing people to buy a token in DEXs, all decision based from that's person. It's why you need to do own research first, study and learn about the token, check the website, whitepaper, team and roadmap.

Newbies only buy a token because of good news, FOMO or giving crazy return. That's why they usually got scammed, and we can't blame them since they're still young.
Precisely, they are afraid of being left behind, but they do not know that choosing and buying a token is something that should be carefully considered. Aside from the many fake tokens, many of them also end up with no value which means we can no longer sell or exchange them. This is not a new issue people can easily search for some news and article to ensure the risk they will be taking in buying a token from DEX. It can’t only affect the reputation of crypto, but also the views of people. However, it is unavoidable due to human greed. As scam exists even before DEX, the least we can do is to be extra careful and critical, we have to make our own way to avoid it.
309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Philippines Allows Land-Based Casinos to Accept Bets Online on: November 07, 2020, 02:43:43 PM
This is good for gamblers who want to gamble but still afraid of going to public places because of the fear of getting infected by the virus. I'm not really into land-based casinos and I've always been into online gambling but maybe, they can also attract online gamblers. Aside from that, land-based gamblers can also try online gambling. Let's wait and see how these casinos will implement online betting like how they will manage it, and if it will be really a nice idea for them.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Massive Adoption on: November 06, 2020, 04:38:33 PM
It's nice to hear several companies from different countries are positive towards crypto and even providing crypto-related services. I believe that this can help bitcoin to gain recognition in certain places mentioned in the article. Let's hope that more businesses in the future will be also open for crypto adoption. But aside from companies adopting crypto, I want to hear news about more people or customers that are using these crypto services provided by the entities because it will show that people are actually looking for these services.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happened to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency? on: November 06, 2020, 03:34:08 PM
Some countries are already planning to have their centralized digital currency, and I think in the few next years, we will see more countries will also want to have their own digital currency. And for me, even if they will make their own,  it won't affect bitcoin negatively unless they will try to ban it. If we're going to look on the positive side, it can give more recognition to bitcoin and crypto as a lot of people will use digital currency for their daily transactions.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you received a call/text recently from a friend/fam asking about Bitcoin? on: November 06, 2020, 01:45:19 PM
As the scams related to cryptocurrency continues to spread in our country, some of my friends are concerned. In certain instances, they left a message saying how I need to be careful with my investment. Knowing that various Ponzi schemes are reported this year. Since some of them have an insight into cryptocurrency, they often ask what are the coins good to invest in, where to start and what are the current factors that affect the price of bitcoin. It may be difficult to explain over and over again, but that is better than seeing them take a risk and lose.

314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I accept Bitcoin for payments on my online store? on: November 05, 2020, 04:55:11 PM
For me, it's a good idea to accept bitcoin payments because you will be giving your customers more options they can choose when paying. However, there will be no assurance that a lot of customers will use it as their payment method unless your business's nature is crypto-related. In an online business, there's now a lot of payment method and your customers probably might not into bitcoin so if you're still doubting, try monitoring your customers if some of them would be willing to use bitcoin payment.
315  Economy / Economics / Re: Need of the hour : Use the Crisis on: November 05, 2020, 02:01:28 PM
It sounds good to look for something that can help us amidst the pandemic, however, most of the people who really need financial support are the ones who can't even start their business because they can barely find money to feed their family. But for those who can, they need to know their capabilities first. If you have skills, then you start a business with it, especially if it's in a form of digital. But if you don't, online selling is also a good one since it's so popular nowadays, you just need to find and offer the right product and satisfy the customer
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 05, 2020, 11:33:30 AM

I guess Trump's confidence is not enough because Biden is leading and it looks like Trump will likely lose this election since Biden only needs 6 electoral votes. I wonder what this gambler is feeling right now while monitoring the live results? Was he able to fall asleep knowing that he'll likely lose that $5M bet? Although this guy is probably rich af to bet such a huge amount of money, it's still a big loss.

The US electorate can already declare the winner, the gap is just to wide, I read on my social media feeds Facebook that Trump will go to the Supreme court or make a protest, very interesting the gap is to wide to contest the results, he should concede, he's just fooling himself if he think that still can win the election, as for the guy who bet $5 million in favor of Trump I hope he is ok and he is aware that gamblers should gamble what they can afford to lose.

Well, he still can't accept the reality that Biden is leading and that he'll probably lose. You can see on Trump's recent tweets that he thinks there's election fraud. However, Twitter is censoring some of his tweets saying that the contents might be disputed and misleading probably because of his claim with no basis. But let's see, what will be his action after this.

The one who made this huge bet probably spend his day preparing and accepting his $5M loss.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 05, 2020, 06:43:37 AM
I was monitoring the election hours ago and I can say that it's really a close one. I'm not really into political betting and I can't say who might win since I'm just basing on the live statistic and since it's close, results can still change. For that person who bet such a huge amount of money, that is really something. I guess he's confident enough that Trump will win the 2020 election because he spends $5M to vote for Trump. If Biden wins, it's a big loss, but if Trump wins, then he will earn a lot, now I'm more interested in his reaction after the result came out.
In the early rounds, Trump is very confident about winning the presidential election for the next year because some time ago I read that Trump will do whatever it takes to make himself win in this election, so it's likely that Trump has prepared several strategies that will make him win, even though Joe Biden is currently in first place and hopefully this will not be the final result of the presidential election, because if this is the final judgment then the one who bet $ 5 million will lose a lot of money.

318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hurray! Binance did it again on: November 04, 2020, 05:36:26 PM
It’s unsurprisingly, as Binance has established a good reputation because they are hands-on in handling various issues that may affect their users and customers. They maintain a high-standing review because they offer good and secure services. Among other exchanges, Binance has stood, as they keep on fulfilling and following their core objectives. It shows how they consist of a great team that never stops until they have successfully executed their plan on getting back what they have lost.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: November 04, 2020, 03:38:26 PM
We have different reasons why most of us often lose in sports betting but I think one thing that will help us to win is to get to know more about the sports or the team you are planning to make bet on so that you can analyze further before betting. But if you are continuously losing, It's not about the sports anymore, it's more about how you manage your money in betting. It's a big factor to monitor your money like how much you are already spending or losing to avoid further losses.
320  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers are using the name of Airdrop to take the wallet's private key. on: November 04, 2020, 02:10:19 PM
Yeah, this information really is a huge help to me as a biginner, all thanks to you, but do we have a way or a relevant solution to stop this scamming scheme?
We can't stop these scamming schemes because greedy people will always find their ways to scam other people. But for now, the best we can do to ensure the safety of our funds is to raise awareness of how the scam works in varied forms. As scams constantly increasing, we should be vigilant because a defrauder is using different marketing strategies to draw attention. In such an instance, we should not easily assume a homonymous website or a project conducts a legitimate airdrop or giveaway. Some of those are a phishing website, which is a method of a defrauder to steal your personal data. Educate yourself by reading this, it will guide you in identifying a phishing website.
