781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Confident Are You In The Reliability of the KYC system on: June 10, 2023, 09:21:42 PM
Anyways, who or what bodies do have the authority to act as a 'judge' if there's a dispute between the site and and a user regarding KYC issues? Everything is on the hands of the casino and users have no choice but to follow. If something as being unfair is being shown then maybe users can consider spreading the casino name at various social platform as being unprofessional and worst service as long as references, proofs and evidences are clearly provided.

In my own personal judgement, I trust most online casinos though especially those operating for long that they won't do unprofessional approach regarding KYC. I'm just hoping that I won't experienced being in a situation like that in the future as that would be surely give me headache. It's hassle that even I provided clear documents, it still ended up fail.

This is why it is always advisable to play on a reputable casino because they won't scam their players as they don't want to ruin their image.
Also, limit the number of casinos where you submit your KYC. This is to protect your identity from bad actors in cyberspace.
As more and more casinos are requiring KYC from their players, choose which casinos you would want to trust your personal details.
For gamblers who are in this forum, much better if you will play only to casinos with active threads here.
When you ask for help, you can easily get your case resolved as other users here will help you out with the situation.
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CBDC competing with bitcoin on: June 09, 2023, 09:58:00 PM
I don't think CBDC will be a competitor to bitcoin in real use cases, but the government will work on CBDC to be the first as an alternative solution to fiat. Bitcoin will continue to be used by anyone concerned with privacy and decentralization, so CBDCs may not appeal to most bitcoin users, let alone maximalists.

CBDC is a centralized project initiated by the government. This is one that goes against the idea of bitcoin likely not attracting much interest from users other than just using it for specific purposes. The idea of using it is the same, it is an alternative.

There's no competition on these 2 currencies as they have different nature and use cases.
CBDC is like the digital fiat currency of the government and so it is indeed centralized.
With btc, people have more freedom in utilizing this top coin. They don't need to worry about
the government lurking their activities if they know how to handle their transactions discreetly.
So yes, people will use these 2 currencies, but on different circumstances depending on the situation they are in.
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do meme coins have a future? on: June 09, 2023, 09:30:50 PM
I don't understand why meme coins such as Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and Pepe are so famous and why do people invest in them, wondering about the future of meme coins.
They have the good hype and a good community but with regards to their usage, its hard to tell more about their future. If they remain like that, there’s a big chance for a new meme token to rise above them. Meme token will always have a place in this market as they are hyping the project itself, and I see this as a short term investment only so don’t play long. If there’s a new meme token, early investors are the one who make a lot of money.

Do remember, not all meme coins or tokens can pull off in the market.
Some of them just die down without seeing the light in the exchange.
So don't invest in every meme token that you will encounter of, very few can make it in the market and survive.
Some are surviving because they found a community that is continuously supporting the hype, but once they got tired,
and got their profits, they can easily abandon the project especially if there's really no use case in the market.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 09, 2023, 08:58:12 PM
We are all guilty of this and the poll shows that it is, we are guilty because gambling has become our habit and old habits will not just die down, we easily forget because we love the excitement we are challenged to make a profit.

I'm guilty of this in the past when I still have a huge number of BFG I want to wager more and stake more so I can have a huge number of BFG to stake and every time I lose a big portion and promise not to play for a week I easily forget and the excitement gets the best of me, of all the promise I made, I can easily break this one.

I believe most of us are guilty of this habit at one point in our gambling life.
But we should always assess our situation and check our status so we won't face so much trouble.
Because if we let our desires to win, definitely, more problems will arise from our stubbornness.
And before we know it, we already lost a huge chunk of our bankroll and we can't go back to where it was.
This is why I always set an amount that I can use for gambling, so I know my limits even before the game starts.
785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll management discussion on: June 08, 2023, 09:46:15 PM
I don't utilize a certain amount when I gamble. Everything depends on how my gameplay goes, but I try to maintain enough self-control to regulate and manage my bankroll well. But if I will estimate it, I think it only goes between 1-2% or at least 5% or my monthly salary though I only gamble when I want and not regularly and as much as possible, I only gamble with minimal amount to avoid excessive gambling.
We all know how compulsive gambling will affect our finances so we should always have self discipline when it comes to spending. There are gamblers who continuously gambling as long as they have funds and will stop when they are losing their bankroll and that's what we should avoid.

I can say also that I am allotting small amount in my gambling activities.
But when it comes to management of my bankroll, I am allocating higher percentage when it comes to sportsbetting.
For luck-based games like hi-lo, crash or dice, I only use like 1-2% so I can play longer.
As much as possible, I have my limits in gambling. Though sometimes it goes beyond a lil bit, but I always make sure I don't go overboard with my spending.
786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do, should do, or not do as Bitcoin supporters at this time? on: June 08, 2023, 09:18:49 PM
But then, do we just sit back and do nothing aside from saying to avoid centralized exchanges? What can we do or should do, or not do as Bitcoin supporters at this time?
With everything that has happened since 2022, which is why the Bitcoin price is still below everyone's predictions, and the recent actions of several exchanges, I believe it is time to say goodbye to centralized exchanges.

Many customers trust Binance to the point where they leave their funds in their custody, however with this example, some people are losing trust in Binance exchanges and centralized exchanges in general.

At this point, let centralized exchanges do their job of trading and purchasing Bitcoin and not hold our currencies within the exchange since, as the adage goes, "not your keys, not your coin."

It has been advised that do not store your coins to any centralized exchange, binance or other exchange.
So this is not the first time we are hearing such warning. Because it is always best to secure your fund in your own wallet.
But of course, if you do need to trade, you still need to use the services of these centralized exchanges.
However, as much as possible, once you finished your trading, get your funds out as soon as you can.
You can't do so much if you are just a regular user. But if you have large following in any social media network, you can always post tips to everyone.
787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Apple Vision Pro and its Implication in Online Gambling on: June 08, 2023, 06:00:55 PM
I wonder what this means for the gambling industry, the gambling experience, and gambling addiction. I would like us to discuss this topic.

This is a stupidly overpriced product. But it may sell well due to Apple's branding. But I don't see any impact on the gambling industry unless someone wants to experience casino in metaverse. Usually seasoned gamblers will not want to experience this, rather they would like to focus on the game to make money.
For some newbie gamblers, who had never experienced casino, they might want to try this just to experience it. At the end of the day, entire metaverse concept is rubbish and it will eventually die down.

The Metaverse Casino is pretty interesting, but some of the Metaverse projects aren't just Apple Vision. Even before Apple Vision came out, there were a lot of cheaper VR products out there. Apple Vision is priced at $ 3500 and this is certainly quite expensive.
For those who want to experience the Metaverse presented by Apple, maybe price won't be a problem. But for some people spending that much money just for a device that is not very useful, they certainly won't do it. Of course there will be many similar devices that are cheaper.

That's what I was thinking when I checked the price of this gadget, not everyone can afford to buy one.
But that is true, with the launch of this Apple product, definitely, there will be similar products from other brands that will emerge fast.
So yes, once the public can afford this type of gadget, a lot will be hooked into this and gambling industry is no exception.
A lot of younger ones are already into the gaming industry today, so gambling industry is quite reachable by this generation.
788  Economy / Gambling / Re: lucky block casino locked my account for no reason demanding kyc funds lost on: June 07, 2023, 09:59:00 PM
Your post is incomplete did you hit the wagering requirement, if so you can withdraw but if they ask you to do KYC, you should if there is a KYC requirement in their terms, they have a reason why they asked you for KYC, I have not heard or read about this casino but I cannot categorize this as a legit complaint.

You should undergo KYC first and if they still do not allow you to withdraw your money and they gave you a false accusation, then that's the time to open a complaint.
You should understand what you are signing up on the casino I guess you did not read before you hit sign up.
I am surprised at gamblers like this because they experience problems or difficulties in the casino because of their own mistakes, who do not want to complete the requirements but instead claim that they were tricked or not given good service.
He should have read the TOS first so he could avoid problems like this because in every casino, if it gives certain requirements, it will always be written in the TOS so that gamblers can fulfill them, especially when withdrawing large amounts of gamblers must be prepared if asked for special requirements.
I agree with you and it does seem like he should have done what the casino asked him to do to process withdrawals before filing a complaint.

They will seriously read the ToS once their account is having problems with the site.
I believe, most gamblers are not really reading the ToS, hence, such common problem is being encountered.
That will be an expensive lesson for the OP. He has no battle to fight with if he clearly violated the terms of the site.
Though he got away in his previous withdrawals but this time, he got caught by the site, then I don't think he can still get his money out of this if he is not willing to comply with the terms of the site.
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could Litecoin Really Go Parabolic This Summer? on: June 07, 2023, 09:36:20 PM
It has been said above that even thr recent halving did not bring better result for the holder so what are the factor that we expect in this one?
When it is an obvious relation about the bitcoin halving that makes all legit coin bring good return .
Not sure if your title id implicated to the solution but for me? Nope this is not going that eay.

You will expect different results if there will be development updates for this old alt.
However, I am not hearing any noise when it comes to this coin, so don't know if it can really made a difference this time.
Most alts are just following bitcoin's trend, but we can still expect a different outcome if the coin itself has something to offer to the community.
If you will check their site for updates, it seems that they have nothing new for now - https://litecoin.com/en/news.
So don't know how they will perform this coming months without any life changing update for this project.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if social media apps start launching their own cryptocurrency? on: June 06, 2023, 09:52:54 PM
My thought happens to be what if a social media app management like Facebook decides to launch its own cryptocurrency? (A currency that is decentralized as Bitcoin as well as it having other properties and functions than meets the eye and qualifies as investment worthy or trade worthy coin.)
These companies you've mentioned are all centralized, thus there is no way they are going to create a decentralized cryptocurrency, let alone something as decentralized as Bitcoin, quite a lot of altcoins have tried to copy Bitcoin or claimed to be the next Bitcoin, but they have all failed woefully, mind you that altcoins hardly have any actual utility.

Having said that, as regards social media apps creating their own coins, Facebook tried something similar a few years ago with Diem coin and it was a colossal failure, it would be hard for a social media app to create something that has any actual utility or value that people would desire to use.

The failure of FB won't stop other social media channels in launching their own coin.
But it will be centralized, as they will have full control about it. I don't think they would want to create a decentralized coin for their app.
Just remember, basically anyone can create their own alt, how much more of these social media apps with large followers?
It would be easy for them to implement it within their app as they already have followers using it.
The FB diem failed because of regulatory issues as well as internal conflict, but I believe FB won't stop thinking of creating their own coin in the future.
791  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 50 gambling Instagram & TikTok accounts on: June 06, 2023, 09:04:05 PM
well, this number of followers or fans is simply very large, and without a doubt they manage to get many referrals and with that they earn a lot of money with partnerships with casinos and also with the commissions they receive from referrals, so their social network account it is something that gives them a lot of profit, no doubt that it is a big business for them, they will probably be able to accumulate a lot of money and they will be able to retire one day, but now looking at the casinos side, I am wondering if when a casino does partnership with one of these guys,

Does the casino put any clause that the guy who has these many followers should only advertise the casino he partnered with or he can advertise several casinos? I've been asking myself this question, anyway these numbers make the casinos have a lot of customers and obviously many people will also lose money in this process and in this part I wonder if these people who are the owners of the channels post with disclaimer and if they also explain about the dangers of people being in the world of gambling or just keep talking about gambling to gain referrals

We won't know such agreements as they won't disclose it to public.
But these influencers of course are always for the payday, so they can easily change what site they want to promote with.
Definitely, they won't stick to only one casino as this is their job to earn money, the more the better for their pockets.
With millions of followers, you can count that some of them will be really their affiliates, so that's nice passive income for them.
For people who are following them, should be careful on registering those sites, as high likely some of them are also scam sites.
792  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi Im trader over 12 years of experince here is my goal on: June 05, 2023, 06:39:38 PM
Amazing, you are a trading master who will turn $7 into $229376 within 15 days.
Can I invest $70 with you and it will become &$2,293,760 within 15 days?

I only have 5 years of trading experience and that doesn't make me a trading expert, I'm even still too panicked.

I will wait for the miracle that you will do in the next 15 days, if you succeed then many people will come to you.

come on spirit, don't fail LOL

I believe that's his selling point here for now. Attract potential users who will take this bait.
But can he truly turn such few dollars into hundred thousands of dollars?
There are so many proclaimed trading experts here already but I don't think they can do such feat.
Let us wait if the OP will post his profits within 15 days, and be honest about his trading journey.
If he can do that publishing the snapshots as proofs, then, high likely a lot will buy the services that he will possibly offer, be cautious though.
There are so many long-time crypto users here in this forum, but never seen one who posted that they got such profits in a matter of days.
Wonder what coins he will be trading with to achieve such tons of profits...
793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things that still make feel awkward with some online casinos on: June 05, 2023, 06:02:25 PM
Why are some online gambling platforms having high withdrawal fee? I know Bitcoin recently has a high transaction fee but that's no more right now, some online casinos are still asking for 5$ per transaction when it should be 1$ or less.

Not just only Bitcoin withdrawal, even coins with very low transaction fee, isn't this robbery? If you just signed up on a centralized exchange, you can pretend as if you want to withdraw, to know how much the gas fee costs, but on online casino, you will see this only after you have enough wins or funds for withdrawal.
This entirely depends on the casino you are playing on, for me, for several months now, I've sticked with Stake.com, the bitcoin withdrawal fees has always been 7000 sats, and it has remained so even until now, and even when the bitcoin network experienced congestion which caused the fees to skyrocket, Stake.com still maintain their normal withdrawal fee of 7000 sats..

And again, Stake, a user can view what the withdrawal fee of any coin is, even without have a balance of the said coin, for example in the shot below, I have no bitcoin balance, but I can still see how much Bitcoin is taken as fee when I withdraw.
-

Really nice that site like stake is covering the high transaction fees during the congested periods.
The good thing about this is that they won't go bankrupt by covering the withdrawal fees of their players because the site is big and really earning good income.
However, if this will be done in small casinos, I guess, they will just stick to how much they are charging their players, even if the transaction won't be confirmed for days.
If you are too worried about those withdrawal fees, then, always check how much the site will charge you just like exchanges so you won't be surprised when you need to withdraw from them.
Because once you deposited the money to them, it means, you will comply all the terms including the charges that may incur with your transactions.
794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: June 05, 2023, 02:16:21 PM
Only the sports betting needs experience but playing in casinos are open for all even for the newbies. I also think that the odds in casino games are much better than any other sports betting game. I mean their max multipliers are much higher.

I hold the opposite belief. When we consider popular casino games, most of them have a house edge, and some even have a high house edge, which only provides gamblers with a slim chance of winning. However, many of us may not notice this as we visit casinos primarily for enjoyment, and some of us are overly optimistic without understanding our true chances of winning.

Now, let's discuss sports betting. I believe it's a form of gambling that offers a higher percentage of winning compared to casino games with their significant house edges. In sports betting, as long as you study and understand the game, and possess the ability to analyze and find value, long-term success becomes possible. I have heard about individuals who make a living through sports betting, and I believe it to be true. However, when it comes to casinos, apart from the owners, I haven't heard of people making a living from luck-based games. It's important to note that when I mention casinos, I am referring to games primarily based on luck.

Sports betting offers higher percentage of winning if and only if you know very well the sports you are betting with.
The more you know about the sports, the team, the athletes, the rules and all the other aspects that come with it, you have better chance of winning.
However, it doesn't guarantee your winning as there are other factors such as weather, line up of athletes, coach and others that may influence the final results of the game.
But compared to luck-based games, I can say, you have better chance of winning if you live and breath a particular sports that you are betting with.
This is why, there are really sportsbettors that can live off with this activity, which is already a profession to them.
But if you have other means to generate stable income other than betting, then, keep it. Much better to have a steady source of income rather than playing with your luck all the time.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: A long term investor here, thinking about adding RoLLBit Token on: June 04, 2023, 09:56:39 PM
Well the answer you seek could easily been seen and gotten from reading the casinos token whitelist  which was even suggested  by a user on a the first page of your thread because I'm not sure if any one will give you a more precise answer than what the whitelist will give.
I haven't  gambled using any casinos token but I think there shoukd be some promotional offers from casinos to users using their token to gamble rather than the regular cryptocurrencies and the token you listed is a very nice one and if it could do such a figure within a year, is a shownthat the casino itself is doing well and one of the things that determines  the price movement  of a casino token is the users base.
Important details about the token and its usage is there so its really advisable to start with their whitepaper.
Rollbit is a very innovative site as they continue to introduce new updates, their token works on their site well so it can be a good investment as long as the site is doing well. If its for long term you also have to consider its price trend so you can have good timing on buying, haven’t tried the token yet but looking at the performance of Rollbit, it looks good to me.

The gambling site itself is doing well in their business, however, you need to look at the utility of the token itself.
The probability of making it good in the market is already there as it is backed up by a successful casino.
But to make sure you are not investing blindly, you need to educate yourself about the token's current progress and upcoming developments.
As we have seen in this forum alone, only few of casino tokens are still surviving. So need to contemplate on why rollbit token can survive and how long?
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 04, 2023, 09:41:43 PM
Rematch? Possible! But if Fulton would see the difference in power and technicality then i do highly doubt that he would really be asking for one.

He is currently in the position of being the champion, so if he were to ask for a rematch in case of a loss, I believe Inoue would grant it. However, you are right that he may not ask for a rematch if he experiences the power of Inoue, as he would be fortunate to last all 12 rounds if he loses the fight. Therefore, it is more likely that a rematch would only happen if Inoue were to request it, as Fulton would be confident since he has already beaten Inoue.

Perhaps, for now, let's not discuss the rematch and instead focus on how the fight unfolds.

If it proves to be competitive, then a rematch becomes highly possible.

As the full content of their contracts are not disclosed in public, we can just speculate on what they have agreed upon.
But most of the time, if the money involve is quite huge, this is where promoters can possibly change their minds.
Before the rematch discussion, let us enjoy the upcoming fight first and see where both fighters stand out.
Maybe after this fight, they don't even need the rematch because one will clearly dominate the other boxer.
797  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your personal debt reduction method aside the debt snowball method? on: June 04, 2023, 09:13:32 PM
I haven't had multiple debts, but right now I do have debts and other bills, but what I really do is pay them off online. There are due dates on them, so I should pay them on time when my salary arrives. The best solution to this really is to increase your income because that is your main source to solve it, like finding a side hustle or working more hours, anything that can earn money, because it is really difficult to get out of debt if you still don't have enough money.

One approach is check which one is incurring large interest. Better pay them first before you rack up those interest big time.
And then, as much as possible, don't borrow more money, better pay off all your debts first.
That means, live below your means, save as much money as you can, don't buy luxury items.
Stop yourself from buying impulsively. Once you clear your debts, you will feel better for yourself.
798  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing PokerWorld365: The Next Generation of Poker on: June 04, 2023, 08:42:02 PM
Welcome to Bitcointalk.

I visited your site but just noticed that if people want to play poker, they have to download your site's app and register through the app.

I don't think introducing a site's a great idea, but people can only access the games through an app. Usually, these sites are launched first in the form of a website and after running for a while, they introduce an application mode that can be installed on phones. But maybe this is a strategy you want to implement for your site.

Well, good luck @OP. I also haven't been able to download the app via Google PlayStore because the link isn't available yet.

If the OP is reading some suggestions here, they can also create this game using the desktop version.
Some people prefer to play this game with bigger screen and not thru the mobile app.
Also, with the news about malware from apps, some people won't just install any app on their phone.
Better launch this game in different platforms so players can choose which one they want to play with.
799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC holders, do not reveal your identity online on: June 04, 2023, 08:03:47 PM
I can't read the content of the link you posted, but from your explanation there is no certainty that this individual was killed because they have a lot of BTC, people get kidnapped and killed everyday for different reasons.

But the message of your topic is correct, keep your privacy, don't tell people you have BTC and try as much as possible to use decentralized services, so you don't have to submit kyc everywhere. You can be a victim of a $5 wrench attack if you reveal too much of your identity to the public.
Having a lot of bitcoin will not put you into danger, but if you tend to make yourself known about it in public that you are hodling a lot of bitcoin, I guess that will be the start of living your life with possible danger. People who live with so much luxuries that they become careless and not cautious the whole time, then they are the one putting theirselves into danger. However, if they keep their privacy and live life like those who are in budget, probably they will never become any target for kidnapping or killing.

One thing to avoid this is not to post any of your crypto dealings over the internet, or on any social media channels.
Just be silent about what you are doing and don't disclose to anyone that you are into this market.
Aside from avoiding any possible danger, you won't need to explain to anyone about your transactions.
You will find out that you will live a peaceful life as you only need to secure your funds from the bad actors over the net.
The problem with the younger generations today is that they post whatever they think on their social media channels, that's where they are subjecting themselves to be a potential victim as predators are lurking around.
800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 03, 2023, 09:58:09 PM
Thats why I don't like to see young minds which are not mentally ready get themselves into this gambling act, before ever you will get yourself involved in this habit, I mean you must have known that its a win or lose situation and the loses shouldn't get to you anymore because you knew what you were getting yourself into.

Young people have the tendency to decide such fatal options because they can't handle emotional stress yet.
This is why younger generation are prohibited to gamble as much as possible.
If they are old enough, they may opt for better route, because they know, they can solve the problem no matter how hard it is.
But for these younger ones, it is like the end of the world, they can't handle the embarrassment they will face.
Hence, choosing to end their life over financial burden, which may be different when you are old enough to face such challenges.
