@$@%$!@# been fighting bots for a week. Getting sick of this shit. can't get friggin order filled.
Where at? Probably bittrex, poloniex has sufficient liquidity. The bittrex bots follow the action on Polo. Buy and sell orders are placed or removed almost immediately on bittex when the price moves on Polo to any significant degree. So if you are placing bids on bittrex you need to watch Polo.

Came home checked my node and noticed that the last line said synced and it was from 11 hours prior. So I exited and restarted and it was 646 blocks behind which = 11 hours of blocks. It synced quickly. The following was replied to me in IRC after I stated that exiting and restarting fixed a different issue I was having with daemon error messages. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nn2FB1P_Mn8

Every day I pick up deposit bottles and cans that people throw away. At the place I redeem them I can buy lottery tickets which is what I do. Alas I can't buy Monero there. I have tickets for tomorrow's drawing. If ever I win everyone involved with Monero will benefit.
If for some strange reason anybody wants to give me any form of currency with which to buy more tickets I will oblige.

Well, I left bitmonerod opened for several days. Here is what I see today:
This was asked on #monero yesterday as well: <TL123> ERROR {2} {p1} 2016-01-19 15:32:37.489227 [abstract_tcp_server2.inl+494 ::do_se nd_chunk] send que size is more than ABSTRACT_SERVER_SEND_QUE_MAX_COUNT(1000), s hutting down connection <TL123> Server send que max count 1000? Is that something i should rise or what is causing that <fluffypony> TL123: it's on the list of things to fix, it's harmless and does go away, or else just restart the daemon
I got this very same thing earlier this week as well. I didn't take a screen shot of it but this was it. Happened to me twice. Both times it happened around two days after restarting the daemon. Last time i left it to run for 3 hours in order to see if it corrects itself but it kept showing errors and the incoming connections were dropping so i restarted the daemon. Yes restart the daemon.

Anyone kicking himself for not having bought as much as they were planning to, during this long plateau we seem to leave now?

So I assume that the Dev will be releasing the necessary mining software with the needed modification then? Just trying to figure out how in the hell I'm supposed to mine with no mining software...... I believe the info you are looking for was repeated ITT just yesterday. ITT ? In Tremendous Treasureness ? EDIT: aaah, thanks google.. "In This Thread" Hell I'm old and senile and even I knew what it meant. I did dig out this Tremendous Treasure from yesterday. Hey socal are you listening? Is that the poker socal? So many questions regarding mining, supported miners, etc. and still no clarification. After all, this is a POW + POS currency, therefore mining should be well covered. Not good.
This has been stated earlier in the thread, but the miner is a fork of an older version of cgminer with a rewritten kernel. It has been built for both AMD and NVIDIA cards, but it is likely that an optimized miner for NVIDIA cards will take a little finesse and a fork of ccminer. Testnet and miner binaries, alongside miner specifications will be released one week prior to the launch of mainnet. This is done in an effort to not produce mining information in all kinds of different ways across different platforms and to keep the process as fair as possible for everyone. The same information will be released to everyone in the same way. The focus right now is to get through the airdrop process and get that sorted for all the participants. Once that is done, the focus will shift toward the aforementioned binaries for testing and mining - which will then receive priority attention.

As for waste, spam, elitism etc, just read the quotes of satoshi in my post above. Was he an elitist or a realist - in terms of how the network operates?
You tried to derail the block size topic with an off-topic post bringing up random Satoshi quotes about micropayments. Not a single person in the thread mentioned the word "micropayments", and: Minimum transaction fee is the anti-spam mechanism of Bitcoin, not block sizehttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1295293.0But that has not been able to be added to btc.

Why it is not possible to withdraw xmr from bittrex.com? XMR can be exchanged to BTC and BTC can be withdrawn but XMR can not be directly withdrawn. Why?
Sorry if this is not right thread for this question.
Did you ask bittrex? I have no idea how quick their support is. It was working yesterday. I have seen this happen before on bittrex with Monero as well as other coins. It usually lasts less than a day.

Hello guys, i've set up a full node and everything seems to work fine (90+ connections) except one strange message : WARNING: no two valid MoneroPulse DNS checkpoint records were received
Ubuntu 14.04 x64 Any ideas? Are you running 0.9.1? I got the same warning when I updated from 0.9 to 0.9.1 and basically was told to ignore it as it would right itself which it did. If you want details somebody will probably oblige.

I did not receive the email.
Then again my email address is hidden to the public here at BCT.

Great news! People that mine on AMD, can we see some screenshots and let us know about stability etc. It'd be great to put together a how-to for the total noobs. Now that we're at claymore equivalence (I think), this should probably be the one people end up using... @GingerAle, Thanks for the direction and motivation you provide. Time to update your "<<<DLOAD WIN64 0.9 RELEASE!!>>" link in your signature

Nope, Mike went to New York Times, told "Bitcoin is dead!" and informed the public about the ongoing inner-Bitcoin fight. THAT did fucking damage to BTC and was completely unnecessary!
Its not about big or small blocks its about being a fucking dramaqueen!
It appears to be too much of a coincidence the timing of it all with this -- https://youtu.be/R0iArSIU0Z8?t=47m16sLooks to me to be a coordinated attack by R3.(42 banks against bitcoin) Shortly after he talks about MH he talks about the upcoming second half of the conference which is about regulation. He says not to worry because regulation will save us from the likes of MTGox and silkroad. Not to worry we will be saved by regulation. Whew...

Nice try from the attackers. Very fast answer, thanks to everyone who worked on the fix. No harm done I believe.
No harm done ? Look at the net hash rate, it has halved... It is down by 25%. I guess that is the same as halved...

so bitcoin plunges just the day before decred is launched... Coincidence or conspiracy We are at least 10 days before launch. However you are still free to consider it a coincidence or conspiracy. Regardless, I do have a hankering for tacos.

He's basically claiming that if the blocks ever fill up, then Bitcoin has failed. I have always suspected this guy is a clueless zombie. Quite the opposite, filled up blocks is not a failure but success! Economy is always about supply and demand. Success of a product or service you are offering is measured by how much demand is surpassing supply. I hear somebody wants to cut the 1MB block size in half. This should make btc even more successful

Is bitcoinity working for anyone?
I tried it in a few browsers but it's not loading properly for me. It gets as far as a basic HTML page, then stops . None of the realtime prices are showing in my browser. I had to switch to bitcoinwisdom for now, but I like bitcoinity's interface better.
It's not loading properly for me either.

Hello, Came across this project some days ago and must say sounds very promising. I see all these forum veterans that are rely enthusiastic about the project haven't seen that for a while now.. I was looking at the website to participate in the airdrop and I gave the url to my profile here on btc talk with my email adress, will this be sufficient? Good luck to you all ! Decred replied here a couple of days ago that that is all that is needed. (I wonder how that sentence reads to non native english speakers ) It worked for me.
