Who else  noticed the sudden influx of pro-israeli/zionist sentiment on reddit?

I've never been a large redditor but i know the site is not as liberal as it appears to be. There is still censorship and other stuff on the site.
902  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Noah's ark museum on: July 31, 2014, 09:23:59 PM
OMFG! Just when you think you'd seen everything...
What is it there to put in a museum about a fairy tale?!
Why not a museum about the bigfoot, other with unicorns and a special exhibit about the bogeyman?

http://aattp.org/creationists-asking-for-taxpayer-money-to-fund-historically-themed-noahs-ark-museum/

I think there's a big business behind it, and many people think these fairytales really happened Smiley From what I've seen, the museum owner also believes in them  Cheesy
903  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Argentina, the next Cyprus ? on: July 31, 2014, 08:42:26 PM

Is it just me, or does this come in the wake of Putin's visit to Argentina, where the two countries were seen getting along, so Argentina needed punishing for that?

no, that's what it seems like. didn't putin pardon argentina's loan too? they knew they weren't getting it back, so it was just a goodwill gesture to send a collective "fuck you" to the states. or maybe that was cuba, the country known for being anti-US.

Cuba got pardoned for their loans. I am not sure about Argentina. I'm not sure if cuba is anti-US at present, after all,  the illegal concentration camp guatanamo is there.

No, there is a huge difference here and no room in comparison, while there might have been some war crimes by some individuals, the US isn't colonizing and wasn't colonizing Iraq for half a century now while stealing it resources and kicking it people from their land and sieging about 2millions in a land strip while cutting minimum resources, the US didn't go for systematic killing of civilians as Israelies are doing, and wasn't going against international law, UN resolutions and supreme court orders

I think collateral murder was against international law and these kind of things happened on a daily basis by our troops, it's not like this was an incident. It wasn't systematic killing, but if they didn't like their face it was enough reasons to shoot them.
905  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine rejects Russia Gazprom gas price hike on: July 31, 2014, 03:09:02 PM
So, the current Ukraine conflict has something to do with them refusing to pay the gas price hike?

In a way yes, but it's more of a result than a cause. Stubborn refusal to pay is one component. An interesting read here:

It's related to it, but other than that Poreshenko send the army against its own people.
906  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does Kurd deserve their own country ? on: July 31, 2014, 03:05:01 PM
Now is the perfect time for Kurds to create their own country while shite and sunni are fighting each other. They deserve to own their own country, they have right to decide their own future. I think Oboma should send that funding to the Kurds instead of the ISIS terrorist.

I think this is a very good point, while they are fighting they could claim their own land. They may get US support, if it is in the interest of the US government.

The most moral army in the world demonstration again how humain they are. This solder is braging about sniping 13 children in one day and that's it is a normal accurance for him, and today US decided to restock Israel as ammunition seems to be going low

Army doesn't have a moral, it's an institute for death and destruction. I'm not too surprised about such things happening during endless war between Israel and Palestine, but rather that the guy is proud of it.  It might be a fake though.

908  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Leaked U.S. Terrorist Watchlist Rulebook Reveals "Global Stop and Frisk Program" on: July 30, 2014, 11:29:24 PM
Nothing really surprises me anymore in what this government does in this so-called war on terror. It's like they're not even taking it seriously or making a mockery of it. Expanding their data bases is all they seem to care about but then of course, the needle in the haystack becomes that much more obscure and unlikely of detecting.

The war on terror basically means war on the people, anyone who disagrees or is disliked is a terrorist. Everyone is in the terror database, I mean this is just a supplement to the mass surveillance database that has data on the private lives of billions of people.
909  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I am creating a bitcoin faucet on: July 30, 2014, 11:21:12 PM
I have just started working on it, what do you think about it?

http://flamelier.com/roblox/microfaucet/

The faucet looks very simple, it's good. but I hate typing the captchas. I know no faucets does this, but you could simply allow a login with cookies - it would be easier?

But the captchas are how the faucet maker gets paid.  I don't think there are any faucets out there for pure charity anymore.

They could get paid from advertisement impressions, which is what a lot of them do secondly. If it's easy (no captcha, just login) a lot of users would visit automatically I think.
910  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Article suggests massive public funding for Bitcoin Core Development team on: July 30, 2014, 11:14:27 PM
Gavin Andresen:

Holding the keys has also made early comers to Bitcoin wealthy beyond measure. "I made a small investment in Bitcoin and it is actually enough that I could now retire if I wanted to," Andresen says. "Overall, I've made about $800 per penny I've invested. It's insane."

Why fund the out of this world fucking rich who made the riches out of air?  You must be joking, yes you are.

Not all of the developers are that extremely rich, just some of them got rich, of course this depends on how you define rich and what your living standards are. I remember one of the main developers got around 40.000$ in the end, there was a thread about it on this board a few weeks ago.
911  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100k a coin, not that high....really on: July 30, 2014, 11:04:01 PM
I could imagine the bitcoin exchange price rising due to the complexity increasing. We reached $1k before and I think we will see prices far beyond that.

I think we may see prices in the range of $1k to $10k in 2017.  Many people are still unaware of what bitcoin can mean for them - but that is slowly changing. The system also has a network effect, and so we may see $100k per coin one day but I think it will be later than 2017.

wow , they are damn fast! i guess Mark will be in jail in 2043  Tongue

I don't think he'll ever be in jail - in another post I saw he had a very big apartment in Japan.  strangely enough when it's in the interest of copyright holders some guys will be arrested, but if someone scams for millions of dollars there is no problem  Huh

with bitcoin market price at $585 I don't think any hodler is worried. Even for non-bitcoin readers this is a high exchange rate, imagine trading 500$ for 1 Yen  Smiley

There are 2 ways to report on this. "Positive and negative"

Positive " Bitcoin Price GREAT news for buyers, get it now at a fraction of it's real value " See this as a opportunity to stock up on your investment, and buy it cheap.

In every dark corner, there might be a penny.  Grin

Spot on. It could be a good time to invest, but nobody knows the future market prices.

All journalists should post their btc addresses below each article.  That way they can receive tips for their work and the company and the journalist can have an agreement in place where a portion of the tips go to the author and a portion to the company. The Blockchain would make the entire process transparent.

This would be really good for the journalists. That way, a good quality article would get tipped more  Smiley

Well this is very true....

"The media’s insatiable desire to sensationalize stories has resulted in a lot of misinformation around bitcoin. For business owners who aren’t properly educated, this misinformation – understandably – leaves them with inaccurate opinions, and the reality of bitcoin is left somewhere behind."

How much damage has been done, by misinformation? Or press on crack.  Grin

There's been a lot of bad quality articles, anyone who has used bitcoin know there are a lot of false claims. I think any serious business owner would investigate if it has any added value to their business model - rather than rely on news articles for information.

North korea is at it again  Roll Eyes here is the news link lol:http://start.toshiba.com/tv/3/player/vendor/GeoBeats/player/fiveminute/asset/geobeats-north_korea_threatens_to_launch_nuclear_attack_on-5min

NK is mostly a treat to South Korea and Japan. 50 years after the war there are still conflicts between the governments, which I think is not much of a progress.
Technically the war never ended, and a peace contract was never signed. It's common to hear a lot of claims from the NK government, and they have a big army - but they seriously do not have the capabilities to invade the US.
917  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is More Evil? on: July 30, 2014, 09:13:09 PM
I think of all of these, the Islamic Militants are the worst because of the forced mutilation and other primitive stuff. Since I can pick only one I'll stick with that. But all of the ones you mentioned above are evil in at least some way.

If passed the Corker bill will declare Moldova, Georgia, and Ukraine “major non-NATO allies” and move NATO troops and equipment into the former Soviet republics of  Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. It will put an ABM system on the fast track in Eastern Europe and step up military and intelligence assistance to Ukrainian forces fighting against separatists in Donbass and elsewhere in Eastern Ukraine.

Other suggestions arising from Congress include adding Armenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Finland, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Sweden to NATO.

The Corker bill will encourage the color revolution crowd to subvert the Russian Federation. “S. 2277 would direct the secretary of state to intensify efforts to strengthen democratic institutions inside the Russian Federation, e.g., subvert Vladimir Putin’s government, looking toward regime change,” writes Patrick Buchanan.

I think the US government realised they don't have infinite power, when Snowden went into Russia, and are seeking a way to increase that. In addition, they need new enemies since the fall of the soviet union. I'm sure nobody in Russia and Europe wants a war.

THE parents of a boy aged four were horrified when a “mark of the Devil” appeared on his chest.
Sharon Lewis and Robby Jones spotted the cross-hair imprint as they got son Samuel ready for bed.
The sinister sign is proving a devil to explain. The imprint has baffled his parents, teachers and even the family's GP.

Shocked Sharon, 37, of Market Drayton, Shrops, said yesterday: “It’s a nightmare. Some people have said it’s the Symbol of Mammon — the sign of the Devil’s first born — which has been very upsetting.

“Just looking at it made me shake thinking something unnatural had visited my boy.
“Something or someone made the sign on him but we just can’t explain how.”

Concerns, comments, speculations? I don't know about you guys but I'm freaking out right now. Lips sealed

I think rather than something mythical, someone put this on his chest. The story has more to it than is being written, perhaps the parents did something to the child - or a stranger. It looks rather red, maybe someone burned it into his skin and now he is confused and cannot explain it.
920  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Help with estimation of a small caliber game on: July 29, 2014, 05:42:56 PM

Hi , I would like to get help and possibly run a project bounty here . It all depends on the cost.

I would like to get something very similar to game dev tycoon , but this time we are a bitcoin beginner during the first days and we develop mining and other ways (which would be decided) to make more and more bitcoin and $ , as the time goes on the mining machines evolve like real life and you would lose money rather than gain money with old ones , so you have to sell them and get new ones.

By this time most of you understood what I am looking for and this was tried out before. As someone who is not that tech savy I am looking into getting outsourcing help with the game (design , coding and all other aspects) , trying to make a game with as little as possible bugs and making it as simple as possible so it won't cost more than I can pay for.

How much should I be looking at for something like this, plus I am not sure how I could make decent amount of money with this other than just selling the game which would get downloaded. I don't want to actually sell the game , freemium type of , pay to finish the game quicker type of cash sounds better but that might cost more I am not sure.

Tl;dr : I want a bitcoin tycoon game , how much should I pay to get someone to make it for me?

I think such a game engine would take me 1-3 months work, depending if it's a 2d or 3d game. Then you'd need all the graphics, sounds, levels and other related things, I'm guessing 3 months. So overall  I think you'd need 3-8 months for such a game.
I agree with these prices:

2.5 bitcoin each for 2 programmers
 2.5 bitcoin for game designer
 2.5 bitcoin for various costs
2.5 bitcoin for various publicity reasons (would heavily focus on bitcoin community but may try to get some bitcoin wonderers into bitcoin as well)
