921  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Don't send Bitcoins to your Skrill Account on: June 11, 2017, 01:14:06 PM
Switch to a service which focuses on BTCBTCBTC debit cards, you'll get a far better service there.
922  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: June 11, 2017, 11:54:42 AM
With crypto in general hitting mainstream these days, I'm pretty positive adoption would spike up too. Everyone knows BTC, the problem is they know it as an investment and not as a means to buy or sell something.

That's where we're gonna have problems in terms of adoption.
923  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the Reason for increase of the Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2017, 10:36:15 AM
What is the Reason for increase of the Bitcoin?

So many people want in because they see that price and go oh shit man this is where its at, then there are some who are dedicated and I mean committed to mining because its making them a lot of money.
The main reason though is big money entering into the game and increasing altcoin interest and government usage and attention only a matter of time now the currency is young but it is thriving.

Actually there has been lots of interest for that way back then, it's just now that it's becoming realized, and that we can attribute to the constant increase in price. Although, the catalyst to this skyrocketing valuation? That I don't know exactly.
924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Market Opportunities? on: June 11, 2017, 10:30:49 AM
There's actually a local restaurant on our place that accepts BTCBTCBTC. It's the first of its kind as far as I know, and yes, it gets customers who dine in there just because they can spend their BTCBTCBTCs there, well that's even before the skyrocketing prices.

Anyhow, regardless of the price, there's a huge opportunity for BTC in the field of remittances, there are already firms here that tends to that but there's still potential.
925  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Website Backlink Trades on: June 11, 2017, 07:36:53 AM
How many sites in total are actively exchanging links?

So far about 3-4 sites on this thread. Do you have a website?

I have no sites in the BTC niche as of the moment, but I am planning to start one.
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: June 11, 2017, 07:10:53 AM
I would love to see a showdown between LBJ and Durant in game 5, like something for the books in intensity.
927  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you enjoying the crazy Bitcoin price rise? on: June 11, 2017, 05:53:32 AM
I think today many of us refrain from spending their bitcoins, even we badly need them. Because whenever we check price, it is going up and we predict that it will go further. We actually want that to happen however, I'm pretty sure that some of us would like to see price drop for a few days so we can re-enter the game we left early. What if the crash becomes permanent. It may affect our lives. So let's be careful.

That scene happened to my one of workmates just yesterday.

He badly need cash so bitcoin is his last resort but since the last time he checked the price, the price rose to $200 in just few days (his last check was $2,600-$2,700), it give him doubt if he will cashout or not. Cashing out will just take seconds and he is having a hard time pressing that CONFIRM button. In the end, he just borrowed money as he might regret cashing out that time. In the times like this, we must have cash on hand as always, so that bitcoin savings are just saved.

What I do to avoid cashing out my btc at times like that is that I store mine in a hardware wallet. I've got no choice but to get cash by some other means.
928  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can reach 3000 USD in a year ? on: June 11, 2017, 12:25:27 AM
Hard to believe $3000 has been such a dream just a few months ago!  Cheesy

I also didn't expect the $3000 level to become reality this year, and especially not in January this year, but we are very close. Precisely speaking (for what it's worth), OKCoin just peaked over $3040 in both its CNY and USD platforms. It's now waiting for western exchanges to pick up, but that might take a while now Chinese exchanges don't have any leading role anymore.

Not yet there, but it seems its gonna climb to that soon. Let's just hope the future corrections would be minimal.
929  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: site for processing small free transactions on: June 11, 2017, 12:23:27 AM
Hi, you will be happy to know that  i am offering a free bitcoin transaction confirmation service for everyone.
If you do not want to spend fee on your outgoing transactions in future, feel free to forward me your transaction id anytime, i would happily post it on my pool.

I bookmarked your profile so I can avail of that in the future, thanks!

*snip*

It says "Submissions are beyond limit. Please try later." so i will be lucky if i able to make it.

What should i do? Register?

Actually you can join customer-only accelerator service, by join their pool and cloud mining contract, then you can pass the limit of accelerator service.

There are one I know service like viabtc, it's https://pushtx.btc.com/ there's no limit, but you need to spend more cost to accelerate your transaction.

Pushtx at btc.com is expensive, I remember one time they were charging me more than what I initially sent.
930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: June 11, 2017, 12:14:28 AM
The moment that cavs set a new record for the first half. Scoring 86 points is too much. What happen to GSW defense but it's good to say that the cavs shoot very well on the game. Too much help from all the players if they play that again next game maybe they have a chance to overcome a 3-1 deficit. For the warriors curry is having a hard time shooting the ball. If the warriors win next game maybe durant will be the Finals MVP.

That's pretty sure that Durant will be finals MVP. I doubt the lack of defense, maybe they just wanted a home celeb. Anyhow, I hope the Cavs can bounce back and make this finals more exciting.
931  Economy / Speculation / Re: a 100-150 jump in price daily is avg for volatility of btc on: June 10, 2017, 11:48:03 PM
Who would have thought that would be possible years ago? Back when the price was $200 to $300ish, a hundred dollar jump is already a miracle.
932  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Storing on Exchange vs mobile? on: June 10, 2017, 12:32:41 PM
Exchange or mobile wallet, only store an amount you're prepared to lose. IMO still the best way to store your coins is through a hardware wallet.
933  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: June 10, 2017, 11:16:32 AM
If OP did place all his/her funds into BTCBTCBTC he would have been rich by now.  Grin Grin Grin
934  Economy / Speculation / Re: is 2017 the new 2013? on: June 10, 2017, 10:53:52 AM
what do think 2017 will bring? double peak like 2013? pain and tears like 2014? what is the sentiment?

Looking at the year so far it is smoking the 2013 market and it is also showing a similar price pattern only over a longer duration of time, at this time my sentiment remains very bullish with demand far exceeding supply people ignoring the fork and going on pure hold play and altcoins seeing a renewed interest that has now exceeded expectations and what we have seen before. I remain bullish in June.

Honestly I didn't expect the prices to reach such an ATH so soon, just when the block size debate seems to be taking forever. I just hope the market can sustain itself.
935  Economy / Speculation / Re: can my bitcoin drop to nothing on: June 10, 2017, 08:35:49 AM
Honestly at this point, only the worst case scenario of a major security loophole or problem can bring the value of BTCBTCBTC close to nothing. We've got lots of speculators that would gladly buy BTCBTCBTCs so the price can't go much down without that.
936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: June 09, 2017, 11:45:22 PM
that's the spirit cavs needs to avoid the sweep even they lose this series they needed to win at least one at home, I'm sure lebron and the rest of the team will try this one, they almost have the last time if they only relax and focus from that last 2 minutes mark they win that game but maybe they need to motivate and keep fighting back.

And GSW can give them this win so that they'll have the championship on their home court. I heard some announcer said that GSW fans also want CAVS to win a game so that GSW can return home and win their championship in home.

A sweep would be much better IMO. It's been very long since the last finals sweep.  Smiley
937  Economy / Speculation / Re: Skidoo Higher than Bitcoin on: June 09, 2017, 10:43:10 AM
This thread, kids, answers also the question why Ripple is so overpriced   Roll Eyes

I thought it was because Ripple is pretty much centralized.
938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: June 09, 2017, 10:41:50 AM
Because almost all transactions using cash, we all know the current use of cash for transactions directly is still so great that people prefer cash instead of bitcoin.

Cash for it can be use instantly, while btc is for saving purposes.

That beats its actual purpose tbh  Smiley Smiley Smiley
939  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Thinking of starting mining. on: June 09, 2017, 10:34:38 AM
1. ROI isn't that much of an issue for me, my goal is to generate a stable-ish (I understand the rates can go up or down, most of the times down Smiley ) income so I can live off that. I get bonus points for being in Romania and life being very cheap compared to other countries.

2. I realize it's not a giant farm but for starters I would like to set this small one up, get the hangs of it and if it works out I can invest more in it.

3. Exactly how noisy? Is using a cheap-ish isolation a solution or is it money flushed down the toilet? Same question about the heat issue. How big of an issue? Is it solvable by drilling 1-2 holes in my wardrobe and setting up 2-3 fans inside it? Or do I need voodoo stuff like a freon / water cooling system?

300$ profit / unit in a month for me is good for me, life is cheap here. Sure, ROI might take a lot but it's all fine for me as long as the income flows.

On the warranty issue.. are these things known to break down early / often? Are they easy to fix? Do they need special maintenance or down time from time to time?

I will also look into altcoin.

Thank your for helping me out btw Smiley

I've tried home mining a few years ago, my hardware broke ~7 months. Didn't ROI. Hardware maintenance is a key issue here, cooling, keeping the dust off etc etc adds up to their life.
