1821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on Psychology & Sociology Perspectives. on: July 28, 2022, 11:56:32 PM
We have a thread  The History Of Gambling. And it shows that the ancient Chinese are one of the forefathers of gambling. So obviously, I will agree that it is part of their culture already. So I'm not shock by the article, they've been into gambling that really someone will what to test their luck to see if they are indeed going to get rich through gambling or have some money. And yeah, we've also discussed the entertaining aspect of it, for pure joy and fun, like playing roulettes or slot machines.

This is an interesting take- I never saw it in this light where gambling was embedded in the culture of the Chinese. I guess that is one of the reasons on why they are considered the powerhouse of gambling, like when you see casinos, absolutely and definitely you would see a bunch of Chinese people betting high amounts of cash simultaneously.

In reality, Chinese people are very business-minded people. They would take advantage of any situation that can potentially yield them large amounts of income in the simplest and quickest way possible. In the casino in our country, Chinese people roam the floors of each casino as they are acting as a loan shark for most gamblers.
1822  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ano ang plano niyo ngayong bear market? on: July 28, 2022, 11:47:04 PM

May bear market thread tayo pero on this thread gusto ko malaman ang mga ways niyo to survive this season.

1823  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph suspended my account without valid reason on: July 28, 2022, 05:35:39 PM
Guys just a quick question, is there any alternative para makapag cash out ng mga BTCs not using coins.ph? Unfortunately, my level 3 verification account was temporarily flagged by coins.ph since yung proceeds daw ng BTCs ko nanggagaling sa isang gambling establishment, which is prohibited by their TOS. Dahil dito, they limited my withdrawal monthly from p400,000 to only p25,000.

I hope may isang alternative pa in order to cash out my BTCs given the fact na nagagamit ko sila almost weekly para sa mga kapatid ko. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you guys.
1824  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Biggest Wins with lowest risks in Casino History on: July 28, 2022, 05:15:30 PM
So I think people who don't have enough money should gamble with small amounts of money which would be comparatively less risky.

Do you have any memorable events where your expenses were very low but you got relatively high returns in casino gambling or any kind of Sports betting?

I remember back before COVID happened, I was accompanying my brother to this well-known casino in our country. He only brought $30 during that night but he was able to win around $600 with it due to his martingale strategy. Though that may be the case, he instantly spent all of it within 2-3 days as he considered it as "bad money" which compelled him to spend it immediately.

The danger behind this is that, over the years, only 5 winners were mentioned by OP that won significant amount of returns in a relatively short amount of time. While they may be lucky, that does not happen to everyone and that must be also be exercised with caution.
1825  Economy / Economics / Re: Surprisingly, Elon's Tesla is not so keen on hodling BTC anymore on: July 28, 2022, 09:28:31 AM
Pretty easy decision for him and I think maybe some of us had so this coming. Obviously, it has something to do with the current state of the market and maybe he knows that he is going to lose money short term. So as a businessman, he has to shift and keep moving his money around so that it will still grow despite the current recession that we are having. So I'm not surprised, but I don't think this is an attack to bitcoin coming from him, just a business move, in my opinion.

I think as a wise businessman with lots of influence over its market, he knows how to hype a specific cryptocurrency, attract attention and buyers, then suddenly pull-out all of its investments and earn a quick profit. At the end of the day, Elon Musk is a businessman; all he cares about his receiving more profit at the end.

Though I do agree, he is an avid supporter of Doge, though the latter is considered as a memecoin with no use or anything whatsoever. Ultimately, if he invests into something, better try to earn a quick buck and pull-out your investments as soon as it reaches a certain threshold of profit on your end.
1826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the dip and Invest in Bitcoin for long term on: July 27, 2022, 11:56:48 PM
This is the right time to buy more cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin because the  more people come into the market and increases their demand for it, its value continues to grow rapidly.

While this may be considered as a relatively good advice, you somehow failed to account that there are investors who have thousands to millions worth of BTC $$$ at their disposal to the point that the slightest movement on its price could mean a gain/loss of thousands/millions on them. The beauty about BTC is that it is highly volatile- lots of investors take advantage of this unique characteristic in order to invest either short/long-term.

But OP, you are right- regardless of everything, people should be more focused on aiming for long-term investments. By basing it purely on BTC's price history, you could see that its price definitely skyrocketed since its origin. From that reason alone, long-term investment should be heavily considered on this aspect.
1827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TIPS TO WIN AT CRYPTOCURRENCY CASINOS on: July 27, 2022, 11:48:36 PM
I like playing slots, whenever I visit a casino site, the slot is the only game I play.  This kind of tip doesn't work to increase the percentage of winnings IMHO.  The slot game is purely base on luck.  So there is no workaround to increase our chance of winning.  Hitting free spins and scatters is all random.  Sometimes we hit it with just a spin while often times we need hundreds to thousand before hitting free spins or scatters.  But all in all nice try in giving us tips to win in cryptocurrency casinos.

If there is a way to increase your chances in winning in a cryptocurrency casino, then that would be sports betting.

Sports betting involves the series of participation in different tournaments of sports where you would bet on a team based on the odds given. The good thing about this method is that you can lower the risks of you losing via comparing the stats of the teams participating. If you know a team who has been dominating on the field, their current stats, rosters, strategies, and skills, this would definitely lower the chances of you losing a given bet in a given tournament.
1828  Economy / Gambling / Re: Alert: Bc Game scams! (banned for no reason) on: July 27, 2022, 01:41:07 PM
Hello, i got banned and now i cant withdrawal my commissions. And im not the only one. There was a rouge staff member trying to get “promotion”
By doing a good job banning account that have lots on commissions. Im not even able to withdraw the commissions.
“Saving the company money”, there is literally no support so if you get banned make sure not to waste your time with support because nobody will be willing to help you.

Can you please elaborate further on your case? In addition, please provide all the necessary proof in order to strengthen your claim that this gambling website banned your account for no reason. Not to mention, you also did not state the name of the gambling website you are alleging against.

Just to mention, make sure that you followed all of the TOS mentioned on the gambling website. You might unintentionally violated some of their rules which warranted their decision on your account getting banned. But before that, please provide all the proof necessary, thanks!

1831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto in Church. on: July 23, 2022, 10:26:49 PM
Churches have a great deal of influence over their constituents to the point that they blindly follow their leaders despite morality and logic is not aligned with our values. But the fact that this church advocates the use of cryptocurrencies is quite alarming since as far I know, they tend to teach about living a simple life.

Though that May be the case, this definitely news that I did not expect; something that peopleabd churches should also follow.
1832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If There's No Casino Signature Will The Gambling Board Still Be The Same on: July 23, 2022, 02:43:58 PM
If you're promoting a casino-based campaign you need to post at least 5 to 10 posts in the gambling section Currently there are  1136622 Posts and  5903 Topics in the gambling discussion alone the gambling announcement not included making it the most active board here in Bitcointalk.

If There are No Casino Signature campaigns Anymore Will The Gambling Board Still Be The Same will we have the same stats as we are seeing right now

Obviously, there will be a huge difference as to the number of active users who will post in the gambling section, but it will not be entirely dead. Just expect that the number of posts will significantly be reduced if signatures were to be prohibited in the gambling board.

Given that this is also one of the most active boards in the forum for both users and non-users, expect tons of signature campaigns to promote and advertise their business here. But, also expect that there will be active users who will continue to participate discussing about gambling related posts and questions even if signatures were to br prohibited.
1833  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible that all cryptocurrency will become regulated? on: July 23, 2022, 01:18:51 PM
Crypto market is regulated now.

Yes, I don't know about the whole world, but in the vast majority of the world's countries for sure. What I also believe is that regulations are going to become stricter and stricter, imposing more and more KYC. It is as if the authorities, when they realised that they could not put an end to bitcoin, decided to tolerate it in order to control it in a subtle way.

Based purely from my experience, cryptocurrency exchanges have become so stringent with its regulation and rules. They also ask for tons of KYC documents in order to secure the veracity and origin of BTCs coming into one's wallet.

Unfortunately, my account verification level was restricted since my exchange imposed on its rules that the BTCs entering my account should not come through gambling websites. Due to these regulations, exchanges have become so strict and regulated with its rules that it is borderline restrictive in its use.
1834  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Forex trading a good way of making money ? on: July 23, 2022, 01:05:52 PM
Well I consider myself an investor / trader in crypto. I don't believe in HODL forever anymore after what happened to Terra, I think one should sell at some point, for some projects 10X and I will sell into USDC, for others 5X and a few more risky ones maybe 20X or 30X. If I do well at the next bull run ( 10X of my current bag ) I might look into becoming a day trader too... but I've never tried that.

I understand where you are coming from but HODLing implies that you have set some parameters to the value that you are willing to sell your BTCs to. For example, if you purchased BTC at a certain price, then you should also set the maximum price that you are willing to sell just in case it increases/decreases due to its volatility.

HODLing does not entirely mean that you have HODL your funds entirely without the hope of cashing them out. It implies that you are following the golden rule of "buy low, sell high" kind of mindset. If this process does not work for you, then I guess you have to do some adjustments to make it effective.
1835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking to start an online casino on: July 22, 2022, 11:56:34 PM
Hey guys!

So I am interested in starting an online bitcoin casino, yet i have no idea how to start from.
I have a background in coding, and I know the in and outs of integrating crypto, yet i have zero game development skills, and i have no idea how much it will cost, and will it even get users.
Any help would be well appreciated! and looking for partners if anyone wants to start that.

Thank you!

I will recommend setting up your own team who are familiar with marketing, graphic and UI design, administrators, and a lawyer. These are essential as the background and design of the casino must be inviting to the point where it catches the attention of potential gamblers. I also recommend creating a designated "mascot" which represents the whole theme of your gambling website.

I mentioned that you needed a lawyer in order to familiarize yourself with the current laws of your country. This is practically needed in order to secure licenses, permits, taxes, and to know if creating an online gambling casino is prohibited on your given state/country.
1836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Tips To Aide Successful Sports Betting. on: July 22, 2022, 11:45:00 PM
Beyond all this basic elements of making sports betting successful, it is a must to go with the sports in which you've got better knowledge about players as well as have more information regarding the game. This can increase the chance of winning than just going over random bets on games that we don't have much knowledge. Maybe for a while one might get lucky, but the same won't last same as we spend and win on the known games.

Good thing you mentioned this point as personally, this is the most important of all points that OP raised.

The problem with gambling stems from its very nature- which is you are playing against the uncertain risks and odds that may or be against your favor. But with sports betting, you are putting yourself in a situation where you can bet on a specific sports that you are knowledgeable about. While having that knowledge will not completely save you from losing, this puts tremendous amount of leverage and advantage if you were to know the basic foundation of every team and its players.

While sports betting may still be considered as a gamble, having the ample knowledge about a certain team may reduce the risk, thereby putting yourself in a position where the odds are on your side.
1837  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Bitcoin still remains the leading cryptocurrency in the world. on: July 22, 2022, 11:33:43 PM
It is known over years and now that Bitcoin is a mysterious and some kind of digital currency that is not well known how come about and only the creators of it knows and control it and is a supernatural creature and it like is an idea or vision of the creators to control the planet after God.

Let me get one fact straight- no one controls BTC; even Satoshi himself does not control BTC since this was created for the purpose of a decentralized currenc. Though there may be cases where price manipulation happens, this only occurs when extreme whales liquidate their vast amount of BTCs in the market, which is highly unlikely.

One of the main reason on why BTC remains the leading cryptocurrency is due to the fact that it was the first crypto ever created on the market. It already established its name and there are even countries where they use BTC as their legal tender, which contributes to its legitimacy and genuineness, unlike other altcoins which have no basis at all.
1838  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: buying low and selling high on: July 22, 2022, 11:10:51 PM
is using spot trading to buy low and sell high for few dollars a good practice? a close relative said he was able to grow his crypto portfolio this way, is this a good practice?

This method is every trader's and investor's dream- buying low and selling high indicates a profit on your end. While this method may sound simple, the reality is that this is a complicated task where both must exercise patience especially that the price of cryptocurrencies are highly volatile in nature.

Buying low and selling high is what everyone must do but in reality, it is difficult to execute given that the price of cryptos are volatile. This rule is also not absolute as you also have to set the parameters in determining what is "low" and what is "high."
1839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The characteristics of people who are addicted to online gambling on: July 22, 2022, 06:06:06 PM
We might display the symptoms but that doesn't mean that we're addicts. Do not self-diagnose; if you think that you have the characteristics of a problematic gambler but unsure whether you really are one, seek the help of your psychiatrist. Personally, I feel irritated whenever I'm being interrupted in my gambling exploits. I mean, if you're enjoying something and in the middle of it all someone bugs the hell out of you, wouldn't you be annoyed? Per your post, that's one characteristic, but I don't feel like I'm a problematic gambler because I never chased losses, nor do I allow my wallet be emptied because I wanted to play for long.

I seriously think that an addiction gets problematic when it hampers a person meeting their obligations and priorities. For example, a father who has a family may be addicted to gambling if he chooses to allocate the funds to his personal endeavors instead of spending it to the family.

Though there may be several symptoms of a gambling addict, it does not entirely equate that if a person manifests such symptoms that he is considered as an "addict" within your definition. As long as the gambler knows how to manage their money without needing to ask for a loan or to beg, then I do not consider them as such "addict" within the definition that OP provided.
1840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Saves my relatives both of Life, Time and money on: July 22, 2022, 12:35:36 PM
...... so he buy $1 million worth of bitcoin and back to his country Immediately. Bitcoin saves both his time and money. And he was able to back safely to his own country with his money.

How was the process done? How was your friend able to purchase $1 million worth of BTC without providing any KYC functions? Generally, exchanges have been very stringent with KYC requirements and personal records. From my experience alone, if a transaction involved high amounts of BTC, my exchange would most likely freeze my account to question the genuineness and veracity about the origin of my funds.

Though that may be the case, your friend indeed saved his fortune by converting them into BTCs. The difficult part is converting them back to cash in the exchange that he purchased them, unless he sells them via p2p transactions or via escrowing your funds.
