1581  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When Receiving a Bitcoin Payment, What Information Is Made Publically Available? on: May 31, 2015, 07:46:36 PM
Yes, you only need BTC address to receive BTC.

Public information about transaction:

- BTC ammount
- sending bitcoin address
- receiving address
- transaction ID
- time of transaction

Fore more info check: blockchain.org

Don't spam. DannyHamilton has summed it up well. You don't need to make a rephrased post which you obviously missed a few things. Please avoid this if you value your account than payment.
1582  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there any wallets for Windows Phone? on: May 31, 2015, 07:44:38 PM
Tell me more MZ I am lost, will I be able to use that mnemonic elsewhere in some other wallet and use my funds for when the app is not working?? How to do that?

I did took a backup and put it somewhere safe but I have no idea how to extract my keys from it.

They are claiming it is an HD wallet, so yes but I haven't tried it. I will try it and will tell you.

Yes, this is really odd, blockchain.info wallet has no import feature on mobile and also when you use it as block explorer for checking the balance of any address, it doesn't shows the sender's address, not even in Tx.

True. Because of that and some other reasons, I have moved to BlockTrail.com.

What's the best way to import a paper wallet in a windows phone to use it's funds??

I would suggest you to download coinb.in in your phone and whenever you want to spend BTC from paper wallet, open it locally.
1583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Missing Bitcoin??? on: May 31, 2015, 07:37:37 PM
I would look at all the wallets on one system and on the other to see if you have the same or if you are sending from one address to another to check the tx out on blockchain.

If one is saying you got x amount and another says you got another amount and you know the table is correct then would indicate your other system does not have the addresses on it you could import them or  just send all your coin to an address you have access to and then start sending where you need to.

If you are saying its sent but you did not send it then maybe look as to where they have gone or back trace to see if you really sent by mistake or something you might of sent to for some reason and forgot about it.

I would just locate all coins on both devices and then send them all to 1 address if i does not add up to what you have then I would start looking at where the other coin has gone to or some address you do not have access to.

According to what he said, he has generated address(es) in his tablet which is not imported in Multibit. Obviously, this will make two wallets to show different balance. However, I don't really understand what happened when he sent BTC to new address. I think his wallet is out of sync and they might caused it. Let's see whether he can see that transaction in explorers.

Sure investing blindly is why so many ponzis survived and ripped people off, the referral programs that baited you, the professional looking websites that hooked you in, the instantaneous proof of payments. It never hurts that when you see something to be concerned, I still say this place will crumble. the over influx of referral postings I saw last week tells me they need new investors. I tried 2 browsers, then waited a while and tried them again with 2 browsers, one of them clears the cache every time I close it, so refresh was not the problem, and even if there is a server issue you should see something in the view source page. I didnt just come in after one tiny instance, I tried many different things all ended in the same result, blank page, nothing in the source file, If you dont know what the source file is google it so you understand what I am talking about. when you see something like that it means someone deleted all the HTML code on the site, thus means running away with our BTC. Sorry but anyone with half a brain who knows even the slightest little bit about coding a website knows that.

For now source page work and main page load but i understand your worry and so far i worry too. I mean if they are going to run today look like best time for it Cheesy If they continue pay from now its only going to build more trust for me. Is show they plan/want to stay for long around too.

scrupt.cc had his problem with electro cut off 1-2 weeks ago and marked crash total after service stop mine for 2-3 days. Still admin didn't run how so many ppl claimed and he fix problem. This only made me trust they are legit.

It wasn't electric cut off, it was their income cut off. Sooner or later, it will die.

You can say same for any company. No one can stay forever around. Still scrypt.cc proved to be legit during all problems and all claim for ponzi is just  haters talk.

If it is haters' talk, scrypt.cc can easily provide mining proof but they can't because they ain't mining.
1585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Question: how to create deposit addresses without running bitcoind? on: May 31, 2015, 07:22:33 PM
-Blockchain.info payment receive API-

I highly recommend not to depend on another site when you have an easy (but time consuming) alternative. You should give more importance to security than accessibility.

That is correct depending on what site the OP plans on running. If he's selling jars of jelly for $3 each, it's unlikely that he will become a target or have to worry about security. Also where's the security issue with receive payments API? As I recall the times bc.info had issues was with their mobile wallets not generating a random address. The receive payments API uses deterministic addresses based on your receiving address so there's no risk of generating the dreaded "1Bn9ReEocMG1WEW1qYjuDrdFzEFFDCq43F" address.

 - What will happen if Blockchain.info goes down?
 - What will happen if there is some errors in Blockchain.info?(known thing which happens)
 - Moreover, it's an online wallet service. They are generating addresses, not us.

Isn't it better to generate addresses ourselves and don't rely on Blockchain.info blindly?

Total fucking scammer

I had almost 1BTC in their and just like that account got cleared out and nothing left in it

Post proof here. You can't just come here and accuse someone randomly.

1591  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Help With Checking the Signature of Electrum Download on: May 31, 2015, 05:36:13 PM
Thanks.  Can you explain why is there no reason to be concerned?  It's telling me Animazing has not authenticated for 866 days.  Why is that not a problem?

He may not have logged into that account. The PGP fingerprint is still the same. So there is no reason to be concerned.

1) Is the "NOT AUTHENTICATED" message above something I should be concerned about?  I am trying to check a signature after all.

No.

2) If it's not, I still can't see the public key for Animazing.  How am I supposed to work out where to find it?  Someone else has given me a url of where to find it, but how would I work out this for myself, just from the bitcoin-otc.com links given???

Thanks

GPG, or GNU Privacy Guard, offers a free alternative to the now-commercial PGP. GPG is an implementation of the OpenPGP standard, and as such is quite similar to PGP, with the biggest difference being that it is openly available and supported strictly by donations. Like PGP, GPG lets users encrypt and sign data and emails. It works as a command line tool, and as such is easy to integrate with a variety of applications, though the lack of a more graphical interface may make it even more difficult to use than the commercial PGP.

-snip-
It [Vod's feedback] is still there.

Dont worry, Ill add a counter rating until Vod has time to read up on the thread. It should put ndnhc into black.

Thanks. Smiley
That was very kind of you. Cheesy

Hope Vod won't be ignoring PMs instead..

I'll email him. Looks like he will have intermittent access to the net coming soon.

Are you serious? Well... thanks Cheesy Cheesy

Ya done. Hope he checks in. No problem seems fair given your long list of POSITIVE feedback with relatively ZERO issues you shouldn't have been immediately assumed to be guilty like that by these people. Hope you regain your reputation. Quickseller needs to be removed from any Default trust and here is hoping Tomatocage does the right thing and just removes him. These sorts of things should not be happening and it is all caused by people not giving established members adequate respect given your history it is pure bullshit this happened.

I am not speaking for QS but if you think established members don't scam or do anything shady, you won't call friedcat or TradeFortress a scammer because they *were* established members *once*. Roll Eyes
1596  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Block with 1 transaction(txid = merkleroot) ??? on: May 31, 2015, 05:07:58 PM
Sorry for another stupid question, but how is the coinbase transaction created?

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction#Generation

Do I create that first, use the TXID for the merkleroot and hash the block header hoping I solve the block?

Miner generates coinbase transaction and if a block only has a coinbase transaction, the coinbase TXID is used as the merkle root hash.

Yes, they are same.

GPG is used for 'GNU Privacy Guard', a free PGP software.
