Pool and cg miner agree, within half a GH and have done since I got it the only change being updating to .97 which added 4 Gh , 36C at the moment. I'd love to know the story behind temps ..but what works is more important I suppose.
I imagine your HW is mighty low then, like with all nice performing machines. Also I suspect that no mercuries have been shipped with poor boards since machines get tested after being fully assembled (more bad boards slipping/being masked in jupiters, less in mercuries).

Temperaturewise, it was wise move on KnC side to choose UPS to have the devices delivered with the fans off heatsinks. Being "off" is a factory state. Why we made a mistake of remounting them?

So once again keeping the room warm at night has paid off. When i was letting the room cool off at night when i woke up and checked my stats on eligius it would be in the Low -mid 400 GH/s around 430 , then i switched to BTCguild to try it out. witch it was not any better there until i kept the door shut at night. Before when i woke up the temps would all be in the high 30c Mostly about 39c Now two of them run in low 50s high 40s. Seems my back two boards are the more troubled ones and need to be more warm to preform better, When the run cooler they have more disabled cores and my error rate shoots over in to the double digits. Now i don't need to get them as hot as some people on here witch are bringing them in the to 60c range. But then again i ave not tried this to see if there would be any improvement. And doubt i will, I don't mind keeping them running in the low 50s, But here are what my stats where this morning when waking up this morning. https://i.imgur.com/P43JuNI.pnghttps://i.imgur.com/JLxVDl4.pngEdited.... Now only if i could get it to be stable at the 695gh/s I could dream. Wonder if i could ever see it break in to the 700s https://i.imgur.com/qmM1VQj.png

So final The Jupiter work better when is harm or when is it cold? ?? Mine without a doubt when its a bit warmer, Mine dose not need to be super hot. But dose not like the cold. Maybe its just because mine is a Hawaiian Miner lol.

So final The Jupiter work better when is harm or when is it cold? ?? jelin, I think each saturn/jupiter has it's own individual quirks. So the changes you make will depend on your unit, of course with the intent of more hashing power which ultimately leads to more submitted work/shares to your mining op. WITHOUT destroying your miner. Ask away....or read up....last 50 so pages have some good stuff...

Wow, my first found block. On Slush. A few days ago, I just noticed. Can't think of any other reason this one Found Block is listed on my profile page. The block number 265105.
soy, I am approaching 100M submitted (plus others I had on bitminter) shares on BTCG and still no block found....lucky you! and so much for solo mining unless you have terrahashes

Mine are rock solid now, all night, no flux No flux means all fans off case closed? I never said I removed the heatsink fans. I would not do that. The heatsink fans are just as they came stock. Just no case fans, or any others. open cases, stacked.

Ill bet you find the credentials are entered wrong, or something like that was it running before?, or u just got it?
The credentials are entered fine. I'm not even trying to enter more than 1 pool. I just received my unit. Put my info in to the .95 settings, it started hashing ~80-90 Ghash/sec. Upgraded firmware to 0.97, started hashing ~10 Ghash/sec. I'm sure it isn't just bad credentials. Am I supposed to do anything after applying the new firmware? There doesn't even seem to be much that could be done in the web GUI. Do I need to SSH to the thing to make 0.97 work? Thank you, _theJestre

Thank you, _theJestre I had similar experience with all of the restarts, and was cured by power-cycling the machine. I highly recommend 0.97 as well... it will work. Sometimes when hitting the warm reboot button for an upgrade, it seems to start a second instance of cgminer, and cause problems, which a power-cycle cured, this happened almost every time I reflashed. any time I change firmware, I have to power cycle the sats.(instead of reboot) and by power cycle, I mean physically using the power supply to turn the miner off for 20 seconds. You may also need to clear your browser casche, and close the browser, reopen...

You may also need to clear your browser casche, and close the browser, reopen... Well, I really would like to run 0.97 but it isn't working on my Mercury. I tried the enablecores.bin and I swear I did power cycle it by turning off the PSU. Maybe I'll try again later, trying to see if 0.96 can work better than 0.95 now. Looks like 0.96 is a dud to me as well, trying 0.96.1 now. Thanks for the suggestions, _theJestre EDIT: In 0.96.1 I saw 105 Ghash/sec for a brief minute after a power cycle, then it dropped steadily until ~10 Ghash/sec again. Is that indicative of some kind of known problem?

Just no case fans, or any others. open cases, stacked. Thanks! I also think no fans is too risky but replacing the stock sink fans in boards with high HW in cold environments is not a bad idea. Especially if reported temps don't go much above 60 even if that is not exactly the asic temp Do tell us how your heat sink fanless system is going in a few days FiatKiller!

Which is these formula?
These formulae were posted by Kano in a KNC thread, they merely allow you to compute your hashrate properly: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=306969.msg3309728#msg3309728ElGabo has: 11213824*2^32/(25*3600+2.5*60) 5.3425410e+11 534 GH/s in accepted shares. 420356*2^32/(25*3600+2.5*60) 2.0026792e+10 20 GH/s in hardware errors for less than 5% HW 72191.*2^32/(25.*3600.+2.5*60) 3.4393565e+09 3.4 GH/s in rejected shares (538 GH/s full hashrate). Which are outstanding values compared with what many people here, including me, have. Unfortunately it's hard to figure out what factors affect the real hashrates as most people do not post the source of their numbers and some others, like edgar, will prefer to cover the thread in flame instead of making some effort to search the threads, understand and cooperate. My other question was if temperatures affect the output in your machine ElGabo, and if that affects HW (positively or negatively) but your HW is so low that your machine doesn't seem good to test this. Unless when the temperature is high (seeing that your screenshot shows very low temperatures) your hardware error rate goes much higher (which would be the opposite of what people including Phoenix and DigginDeep just above seem to be seeing). Then we could see if that VRM output correlates. Is that the case? tunctioncloud: 0.97 is horrible for my machine and many others. What I've seen about temps: Now it runs in about 22-23C at room, chips between 29,5-41,4C. I have 551-552Ghs, what you have seen on the picture. The HW rate is 3,4%. I've tried to let it run a bit hotter, I got worse Ghs and worse HW. If I could make 17C room temp and was able to run the whole thing colder, I got 558GHs and less HW. But then and interesting thing happened, when I've tried to cool it down better, 16C room temp and the chips between 20-28C after a while, when I was monitoring cgminer I saw x core disabled, x core disabled... and a whole chip died. LOL but for a while I got 663Ghs+.... So too moch overcool is not fine, but in my opinion too much heat also. Unfortunetly I didn't care about VRM outputs until yesterday so I can't tell you exact numbers but now I take care and if I found something interesting I'll write it asap. The only thing what I've seen about vrm-s is that mine outputs 0,718-0,763V (min-max). I've seen on other guys pictures 0,8 and above but I don't know they are on which firmware. And yep, I'm runing on 0.96. 0.97 f... up for me. Better WU but more than 10% HW. And we know HW counts in WU here.... My avarage dropped down on the pool to 410....

HAaaaaa....Yeah!...I'm lookin' at my sats, wanting boards now toooooooo! just an FYI, I did try connecting the chip board to a different connector on the controller board.....didn't like it...had to back. Now it could have been to the firmware at the time but it could have been the controller board....but I would suggest checking the controller board that it works before spending only to find it doesn't work.
