The excel I made was spot when BFL was shipping.  There is no way you could've been spot on about KnC owning 70% unless you had inside info.

Anywho, I'm out.  I changed my mind about selling them here if I need to.  To ebay they will go.

No inside info, just lots of digging and putting pieces of the puzzle together.

Here's another capture of my mercury going at it. It spent about 10 minutes above 200GH, this was a capture about a minute into it.

These little buggers are amazing.

If I were to make some extra 3-foot data cables (or other lengths), would y'all be interested in buying any?

(Shipping from US.)

I would buy a couple extra, sure.

If those are two Jupiters, why not use them as is?

I see 2 control boards there.

I believe he said that certain modules are happier with certain firmware versions.  He has a different version running on each control board.

Some have the die0 issue and some don't.

Top of this page opentoe.

Got it, thanks.
I thought the ribbon cable had to be exact what is being used now. There are like 20 different variations of this cable and then it asks if you want 2 way, 3 way, 4 way, 6 way, etc.....how would I know. I wonder how Cyper ended up knowing which exact cable to get.

By using his head  Shocked
You just look at the original cables and make 2+2.

I cannot remember exactly how many pins the control board connectors have, what is it 10 or 12?   All you have to do is look at what is currently in your miner.  That part is pretty straight forward.

The part that amazes me is the length of the cables that Cyper is using without signal loss. I'm no EE but I would love to hear how that works.
I don't know why, but it works and see no reason why it shouldn't. It's a data cable and we are not talking about 100m here, which again might be OK.

Correct. The 2 in front on the right are under-performing and are being exchanged in person on Monday.

Now the KNC units have been properly tuned ( i use to see over 400 on my kill-a-watt for a Saturn on 0.90 and now see barely 250), do you guys think we can use a CX600 PSU for a saturn with 4 boards, in other words a Jupiter ?

That's not a Jupiter. That unit has 6 modules, maybe he can call it a Venus or something.

If you look into the strings in the firmware, there's the name for the unit depending on the number of ASICs :
0 ASICs: 0_The_Headless_Horseman
1 ASICs: Mercury
2 ASICs: Saturn
3 ASICs: 3_Cerberus
4 ASICs: Jupiter
5 ASICs: 5_Five_Headed_Monkey
6 ASICs: 6_Hosted_Max_Speed

Aww, not a very cool name.

@orama,knc or any other person able to get me two artic I30 on monday, anyplace between trondheim and stocholm...
I am driving monday to colect my uppgrade modules, but now my local suplier of that fan is unable to ship before 23.10 and shipping takes time here in norway...

I have two other coolermaster cpu chillers hyper 212 evo, but now understand only the I30 models will be able to be mounted.
Noob on both bitcoins, and hardware instalations.
If anybody could help me get fans on my way to or back from stocholm on monday, will be highly apreciated!

Than you all for a supportive comunity .)

go for the a30 instead
https://i.imgur.com/0NI2wpV.png (thx to kronut)

You can use either, i'll see if Sam'll part with any, but either the a30, or the i30 should be fine mate.

We have both here, I just checked. I know i'm still in the office at 11pm on a Saturday, lame.

The only difference is the location of the holes, they changed halfway through due to the fact they ordered they world's available supply of one or the other of those at one point. Anyway you be sent multi-hole blanks, there wont be the protruding metal pieces to secure the plate in place, the screws are more than enough. They were purely there so the heatsinks stayed in place during shipping (yes i'm well aware the fans themselves didn't). Anyway unless you're planning on taking your miners off-road on safari you should be golden. Wink

Well my Norwegian provider cant send neither a or i30 before mentioned date. If you can let me buy 2 from you at office tomorrow,  know alot of my stress would go away! You know what is the earliest time i can pop in office and colect my modules?  Thnx for all help, both now and before.

I can't officially recommend that as I've seen the Nov Jupiter pushed higher than 1000w (~1050w), but KnC are still using the Coolermaster v850 to do that, and your PSU is rated at 1000w for 80% load so...

Entirely your risk, I'm not making any promises, as they aren't mine to make and whilst I'm yet again in the office, the person who'll be pissed if I agree to anything isn't so only thing I can suggest is be charming, polite and hope they are around when you turn up.

Office is largely populated 24/7, but the two girls handling the pick-ups prob won't be around until 9/10am. The girls will leave 5/6pm

I would just get a 1050w or higher- why mess around with 20-30 bucks for the PSU when the miner costs 5k+. Seems silly.

Would using two 750W power supplies be feasible to power one Jupiter?

I bought it just two days before KnC informed the new feature of the Nov. Jupiter and it is difficult to change and find a good PSU >= 1200W in Vietnam.
