My rewards on two overnight rounds were a third of the normal - not the pool's fault at all, but no thanks to my ISP (Virgin Media) who applied aggressive traffic shaping soon after I started downloading a Linux upgrade, turning my hash rate into something horrible and what should have been a 1½ hour download into 13 hours. B*st*rds. My broadband is normally 30Meg Yesterday I was getting less than 2Meg . not even enough to open google. some serious throttling in the system.

I love it when all the whining kicks in!! The total hash numbers fall as the flakes leave and my rewards jump back up. LOVE IT!!!
Morris
The individual rewards may go up - but the overall payout will not - as the GH/S falls so will the frequency or speed of finding blocks... Taken to extreme - imagine if everyone left the pool but you... You would receive a BIG 25BTC payout when you find a block - but how often would you receive it? Reality is that when people leave Slush they do not switch off - they move to another pool.

Yarp, same here for that block. But my miner failed part way through so dunno what my score was. Question: If you mine halfway through a block and switch, is it possible to get a 0.000000 payout (assuming something like 200k shares)?

If you stop before the end of the block, then the payout will fall below your expected value.

honestly this probably has something to do with the fact that all commercial computers are fitted with microchips that have had NSA backdoors installed in them. That's HARDWARE backdoors. Kinda like instead of using a window to steal someone's couch, you just actually use their damn unlocked door.
This is pissing me off. The police are most likely behind this. (nsa, cointelpro, etc). I know they're not all cops though. Doesn't matter. Same difference.

Unfortunately there is a repeat of the last few day's problem. Blocks confirmed in Stats do not show as 'Confirmed reward' on the account profile page (this now applies to Slush blocks #21388 and #21389, which are confirmed on the Statistics page https://mining.bitcoin.cz/stats/. I understand that there is some delay in updating, but this is beyond the 'reasonable delay' and looks like a precursor to delayed payments (again).

I am simply going to switch to another pool. I would not want my inquiry into why two days of confirmations have yielded 0, despite a steady stream of hashing, to seem like "crying." Lol. Maybe I will be back later. Maybe not. Good luck to you all.

I don't blame ya... If not for the configuration hassle holding me back I'd probably follow...

Under maintenance I got. and "you can follow updates on" ..and no place to go mentioned lol. You know those infinite chimpanzees on infinite keyboards who will eventually write the complete works of shakespeare? I think they got a new job at Slush Back now.

Again I point out - it directs us to Facebook but no updates there. Someone mentioned on one of my previous posts that they hate Facebook, which is fine as far as I'm concerned, but if we're being directed there for status then shouldn't it be updated with something? I don't care if they use Twitter, Reddit, bitcointalk forum, or whatever - as long as the link they provide for status updates actually adds value, status, and insight. Maintenance outages always make me nervous since we constantly see problems with calculating rewards afterwards.

There was a "website under maintenance" intermediate page with a link to Facebook.

There was a "website under maintenance" intermediate page with a link to Facebook. It links to https://www.facebook.com/MiningBitcoinCz?fref=ts - last update was Dec 16th. Dang it, another maintenance....

I sat it out this time and now it appears to be back to normal... But some feedback here as to these increasingly frequent issues would be most welcome given that Slush links directly to this thread.

I'm thinking of switching pools. Not sure if we are having really bad luck or what. But my pay per round has gone down, and we are only averaging 6 rounds per day compared to the 12 we were getting 2 weeks ago.
