It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

My "estimated" varied between 0.010 and 0.016 while it was ongoing, but when i checked stats a while after it finished, my reward is 0.

Did it "repair" for you? As was mentioned above, there is some delay between round end and processing all block rewards... AFAIk there was no problem at this time.

Can you provide some additional information? Miner, version, what exactly is "a lot"? Do you still see the problem?

hmm, can't access the site atm, issues?

What kind of error? Is it connection timeout or do you see any error message?

I have been directed to an opendns page saying that the site is down or not responding a few times in the last couple days. On the order of 5 or 6 times, each time it would eventually let me reach the site after 10-15 minutes of trying.

Not sure what was causing it, though, as isitup.org would say it was reachable. Tried IE, Chrome and Firefox, all had the same issues.

Time to tell my experience with slush and stale

Now guiminer is saying 1902 shares accepted and 7 invalid. That make like 0.03% of stale with slush. An AWESOME thing

Yea! Ain't it. I'm lovin it. 2968 accepted 13 stale.
i can't get stale less than 1%
24749 shares and 310 stale

Over 10 million shares for this block Angry  That's about a 1/4000 chance at the current difficult and slush only has about 7500 blocks  Cry

Because of some troubles in datacentre around 19.00 UTC, pool balancers were migrated to another machines. I'm sorry for short pool outage, it was down for ~2 minutes.

Is this explanation of connection problems? Just curious.

Yes, of course, because miners were disconnected during this time.

There are some database problems which are causing "bad gateway" messages on web interface. I'm solving it, should be better in few hours. Mining is not affected.

Edit: I temporarily disabled JSON interface for retrieving profile information. Many users started to pull information much more frequent than before, which affected website performance. I'm still investigating it, will update status later.

May be they are BAMT users. I was one of them. It is a recently functionality of the miner. I just disabled it now.

I don't have connection few hours to my account, and not mining on slush.
Now its OK. But I see only 1000 GHash (about 50%) on pool. Sad

I'm still solving database issues, you can see higher stale ratio right now. I'm sorry for troubles.

would the issues you are having be the reason I got no reward at all for block 7590 even with three miners working?!? It's never a good thing to see 3+ hours of work and no reward for it.  Sad

I'm willing to believe so...I hope so as well.  My hope is that the website updates are just not working correctly, as I too have had funny totals on the last 4-6 blocks with a none on two of them that share were sent in on.  Hopefully slush can get this fixed up...sucks when your addiction can't be met cause his website is down  Smiley
