Im guessing it will end up invalid.  Not sure why, but a lot of the blocks I've seen that short end up being marked invalid.

I'm here for a moment Smiley. No, this block is perfectly valid, you can click to blocknumber and see details on block explorer.

Enough with the added extras
more important
how about processing payout since this all day outage

We've been WAITING on namecoin payout for 3 days

clicking on the block number isn't a recently added extra, it has been there for a long time.

1. Strange, re: waiting three days since I believe my last namecoin payout from Slush occurred two days ago.
2. The webpage says (although down at the moment) that payouts should be processed by Nov 3rd at 12:00 UTC

Thralen

Funny I've been checking every hr & never saw said notice

This IS BAD up & down for at least 3 days is BS
playing with tor instead of TCB
I've been getting http timeouts for 2 wks but only on one machine and yes it's using api2 address

I was trying to check namecoin stuff and have been waiting for funds to build & process

at this point I've gotten more straight pay out from deepbit in the last 24hrs
than slushes proportional pay scheme for every day last week

putting it mildly I"m not a happy camper

And people wonder why slush nearly shut the pool down for good... bitching about known issues doesn't exactly help them get solved faster.  All you're doing is adding more stress to the admin who does significantly more work than miners and at these prices probably doesn't make much more than them.

Yep, calm down, it's no big deal. We can just use the back-up pool for the time being. And honestly, not that two days of payout will make you any richer unless you had 10+ Ghash pointed at the pool, in which case you could have also gone solo. Peace.

Exactly this. You don't like this pool rent your own dedicated server and setup your own one. You try making it profitable and stable with the current BitCoin price.

Or solo mine. Whatever you do just don't make the deepbit problem any worse..

Certainly gives you more than the slush pool does when it actually runs and that includes the so called namcoin bonus added in.

OK I do not doubt your observations but can you please attempt to explain why or at least theorize why this is happening etc. !?

Hi Dawscaus, That message you are getting is called an error. The Pool is down for the moment, so familiarize yourself with another pool for the time being. Good Luck!

Or even better setup cgminer with a backup pool (or 4).  When slush pool comes back up my miners will switch back to him automatically.

Payments are still not flowing though. Need to get out my BTC and NMC to pay bills before I can restart mining.

Is it just me or are payments not getting confirmed either Huh

OK, I reinstalled database machine to different distro, different kernel, different version of database. And it is still crashing. It's 100% bug in VMWare ESX, which is pretty strange. I'm lost.

FoxMURDER: Database fails in access to disk sectors, although disk looks good. It happen only under high load so I'm expecting bug in vmware disk abstraction layer.

I'm going to remove virtualization completely and try to run pool on bare metal. However it will take some time to install and setup everything.

ESX 4.1 or 5? I've avoided committing to 5 until I can guarantee all of my systems will run stable on it.

ESX 5. It's my first (and painful) experience with VMWare (except vmware player few years ago).

And now even my main Internet connection fall down (it's second time in last 5 years). I'm working on mobile connection, making reinstall even harder. omg.
