Is there a way to exit immediately if connection to the pool is lost?
Currently not, I'll add an option to disable reconnection. Was this added to the newest version? I've released 0.5.3 earlier than planned because of cpu load reduction - so it doesn't contain this. Okay, any ETA? |

Looks like some kind of buffer overflow to me, but i am no expert. Any idear what could cause this? Greetings AM01 Thx for reporting. Does this always happen on your system? On every pool? Are you using ntp? I think it worked for a few minutes. I have seen latency around 20ms, but then it went down to 0 with every new line and now shows only values like the lines above. Even rebooting the system does not change this. This happens on Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS (GNU/Linux 4.4.0-98-generic x86_64). It uses timesyncd and is set to sync time as follows: $ timedatectl status

I have the same problem with a rig with a small processor, it seems to be a processor issue, the miners with bigger processors it doesn't happen, other than those weird numbers, nothing else is wrong, miner works just fine on both systems, the only difference between them is the processor power. |

My cards had a glitch today with fan speed and the got about ~90C but zm still continued the mining process even after such bad temperature... could you adapt your miner for the Zero (ZER) Equihash variant?) I see no sense to optimize miner for specific forks as it should works on the same rate for every coins on Equihash algorithm. Am i right?

You can use --temp-target to enable temperature controller. This is important: Thermal security is in the responsibility of the driver - it has a much better control over the hardware than a user space program and knows exactly the thermal specification of your hardware. I've seen that temperature reading doesn't work for some users on windows properly, I'm currently not sure why - so be aware of this. |

The miner crashes when i start it with --dev 1 option, without the option it works perfectly. Also, on 0.5.2 version it works normally with --dev 1 option. Do you know what could be the problem? The application crashes immediately upon starting.

It's a bug in 0.5.3. It's fixed in the current development branch, so it will work in 0.5.4 again. |

But the only GPU miner that I know, OptiminerZero ( https://github.com/Optiminer/OptiminerZero), uses too much CPU time and it can't be used in my 8x1080ti rigs. |

I see, this is an inaccurate description - actually it's wrong - zm doesn't adjust the performance it adjusts the workload of the GPU i.e. zm adjusts the amount of work it submits to the GPU - I'll improve the description for --temp-target. |
