Try --opencl 0 or 1 or 2 then use the -G command to assign the GPU's you want to use example -G 0,1,2,3

hi ive got a multiple card rig with one vega 56 in it anyway of telling the miner to only use the vega card
many thanks
Use the -G command to select the Vega only, -G 0/1/2/3 depending on what number the miner gives to the cards. So run the miner with all cards to figure out what what one is the Vega then select that one alone.

rx480 is one of the best, just use claymore and msi afterburner and you are good to go. you got tons of tutorials on youtube

Right now I have a vega 56 flashed to 64 bios...and did the power play regedit on it, is this the optimal thing to do for this miner, or should I go back to stock settings?
Also when I start the miner one of my cards show gfx900 the other gfx901, would that mean that one card did not take the flash?
anyone that has optimal setting I would like to try some..thank you for your time
also my core is set to 1408 and mem clock to 1100 but that is eating up lots of power

Hi guys, trying to use this miner with my two RX480 cards and getting an issue. Each card by itself does 800+ H/S stock, but when I try and run them both at once using "-G 0,1" the thye get dropouts, like GPU0 will do 800+ H/s and GPU1 will do 0 H/s, then GPU0 will do 0 H/s and GPU1 will do 800+ H/s, and so on and so on bouncing the issue between them. Any ideas? Thank you

cast_xmr-vega.exe -s stratum+tcp://pool.electroneum.space:3333 -u wallet
and getting erro about no pool server or username configured
As other poster indicated, add "-p x" Cast seems to need that

Has anyone gotten castXMR working on an SSL server on port 443? I haven't had success yet. What's the connection string for supportXMR, for example? PLEASE add an API ASAP!
I'm trying to set up my own monitoring solution using a .NET app I wrote that launches Cast and redirects the stdout and stderr to my app so that I can parse the text Cast spits out. But I'm not getting the console output from Cast and I can't figure out why.
or at least log to a file option... Just run "castxmr.exe > log.txt". It'll redirect stdout to a file. Monitor it however you like. Done. I tried that but nothing gets written to the file until you quit Cast. I wonder if that's related to the reason when I try to redirect stdout when I launch Cast from a .NET app I also don't get any output? This would be so easy if I could just get Cast's output in real time. As it stands right now I have absolutely no way to get data out of Cast. The only other thing I can think of is try pipes but I suspect I will have the same issue. The real solution anyway is a proper API. You are correct a redirect such as "castxmr.exe > log.txt" only write to file on exit. Only way I can think of to do what you are wanting is an OCR running over the window Yeah I haven't figured out how to do that yet. I may have to stick with XMR Stak for now, at least it has an API. I did a little research and it seems that when Windows apps write to stdout on the console it's line-buffered and when they write to a stream/file they use a larger buffer (looks like a couple kB). I PM'd Gandalph to see if he'd publish a tweaked build with a few flush() commands in there. Once he does that we can scrape the output and wrap it with a GUI/websvc. That's great news, I had a monitoring app all mocked up in .NET ready to go and then I hit this flushing issue, stopping me cold.

Which one to go for? Powercolor? Gigabyte or wait for 3 fan version of powercolor next month for almost 30% extra? Cant find any comparison of those cards anywhere

I love how simple and easy to use Cast XMR is.
The download contains 2 files. 1 is the miner and the other is the config file. So simple to use and doesn't need compiling unlike the XMR STAK miner.
Hashrates are good too. I just wonder why these miner's don't also automatically add GPU/CPU power consumption. Would be great to measure this as well as this directly affects profitability.

I have 2 of the powercolor 64s, both have hit 1100 memory stable, both running at -30% on the core, +50% power and do 2020 to 2050 hashes each. Using 120W core so about 150ish total. Which is nice. You do need watercooling on the 64 to get the best stable results. On Air the hash rate dropped to 1800ish when running for a while due to the HBM getting to warm.

Because to reliable measure the power consumption you need to measure it in front of your computer or at least in the PSU, which most don't support.
