Good luck to the Kraken IT team! Bugs like these bugs can be a complete nightmare, anyone involved in both Infra and Development knows this. All the pressure of solving performance issues quickly probably caused this.
At least they are updating us and we can subscribe to email and sms updates also.
My only question is why they do not roleback to the working state and solve the problem the coming weeks??

Maybe because the last working state was 2 years ago and their backups don't reach that far in the past? Before starting any new upgrade/update/release, it is the common practise to take a whole image backup of the current working state. So that, if any thing goes wrong it can be easily rolled back within hours if not minutes. I am 100% sure there is some thing fishyyyy going on which KRAKEN is not telling us and that is what making all of us upset. Bottom line is, KRAKEN is not telling us the 100% tryth about what is actually happening.

They don't know communicate .... it would have been so simple to send an email to each customer 48 hours before the update to give time to those who wish to close their position, and to indicate in this mail common to all where to get the most recent information (status. kraken or site or reddit or... but just 1). With these 2 simple actions I am convinced that 70% of people would not complain, would not be worried, and would not make for some not run corridor noises on the forums. Instade of update info on their site, or their status.kraken .... It's to us to look for info, to investigate to found the info we want .... What i think about this update : more the time go on and less they give (or try to) ETA, and here they just say certainly the site don't come up this weekend .... For an update given for 2 hours .... It isn't only the com who don't work correctly at my mind ...

I know there are talks about making sure your funds haven't moved but your funds are never stored in your deposit address. They're moved to our hot wallet. Similarly, if you request a withdrawal, your funds won't come from your deposit address. They'll come from our hot wallet.
No fiat or crypto withdrawals are being processed during this downtime.

I deposited money to Kraken on Tuesday. Yesterday night, after the UPGRADE had started hours ago, I got an e-mail from Kraken saying "deposit credited". This is bullshit. If you are not stealing people's money, you should set a go or no-go time. If you cannot finish the update untill then, just ROLLBACK. Even ordinary people do a proper plan for backing up and changing their phones and look at the way one of the biggest exchanges is doing an upgrade

What the hell are you on about? My problem is my money is not getting deposited. I havent even requested any withdrawal as its not even deposited yet? If you dont want to deposit it then its very simple. Return the money as soon as possible. I dont have to do anything. But i do however suggest you take a look at my emailed information and just verify my account. Like i said, if its not done or my money isnt refunded by next week and I do indeed suffer a financial loss due to kraken illegally witholding my funds I will seek financial compensation in court. ok i've sent this message : I'm pissed ! there are transactions here i did not confirm !!!! i had error messages and no confirmations. your site is absolutely not trust-wordy ! i want a solution and a reply asap ! these transactions i did noit want made me lose 500 ripples i want it back and i got this reply ! I have as you asked escalated the issue about the delay of depositing my funds wired through a SEPA transaction.
Eventuallt I got a response where kraken now asks me for another verification (not sure how there can be aný legal ground to hold my funds and ask me for another verification of my identity without any special given reason).
I have however sent all documents that your website states and told the to eighter deposit my money at kraken.com OR return it to my bank latest by today!
I have still havent even gotten a reply from the kraken support or seen any of my money neighter at kraken.com or at my bank!
This is completly unacceptable. If kraken hasnt sorted out my money by next week I will suffer a financial loss. I will seek for other unhappy customers to file a joint lawsuit against kraken in that case. Im tired of hearing the old "regulation" bullshit. While just waiting for my money to get deposited at kraken I have already opend an account at coinbase, gotten my account verified without any issues or need to send any further documents more than only my passport.

Usually we require additional identification if there was an error or if information is missing from a deposit, such as the client's name or the reference. why do you use unlicensed exchangers if you don't like the stress? let's not forget that Kraken is based in USA and they have NO financial license. They are not a registered MSB in any state. Kraken and many other shit exchangers do not offer any protection.
