I am out of my words, how can a site like kraken run so extremly poorly? I regret using them, If I only knew before... I use kraken as entry gateway to get my hands on some bitcoins. My play is to transfer a few of them so I can trade some alt coins on another platform. Guess what, after finally managing to get bitcoins I can not transfer them to another bitcoin wallet.

I can't say how much frustrated I am. It seems they have disabled the option to withdrawal bitcoins? Can some1 confirm? And also how can I get my bitcoins now to another wallet? It is fucking ridiculous ppl should stop trading there alltogether, they run an overall shitty service and ppl are losing effectively money.

They just can't handle the traffic unfortunately. Most exchanges have similar problems. Coinbase seemingly don't even have any customer support at all and their bank verification system never worked for me. I haven't found a perfect exchange yet but up until recently I haven't had any issues with Kraken and hopefully they're working on it behind the scenes and will get sorted soon because they probably will lose a lot of customers if they don't. I'm probably just going to start selling coins for either cash or straight bank transfer with people to be honest though cos with fees and all the hassle it's not really worth it to be honest.

Hi, just trying to get some support here. I've been locked out of my Kraken account. I tried to turn on 2FA and Kraken of course got multiple 502 errors the entire time I was trying to set it up. Now I can't get back into my account. I tried contacting their support and raised the ticket and haven't heard anything. Can someone please advise- Is this normal to not hear anything? How long does it take get back in? Can't I can'' anyone?

Don't expect any useful service from these criminals. If you can stay away, if needed take legal actions

The "service is disabled" message happens when the API responds with any error at all, so is very misleading. Just keep trying everything 10-20 times and you should eventually be able to complete the process (yes, this is obviously very frustrating, I would suggest avoiding Kraken until they have solved their load issues if you can)

My experience on Kraken yesterday: I knew the btc price would eventually crash, I was waiting for it. Once the fall begun, I went exchanging my btc for eth which is more stable.
I had to frenetically hit place order for 10 minutes to get through. I ended up with a double order, whereas the price was already very low... I see it's rising again, so I go to change my Eth for Btc again, same thing happening: 5 minutes to go through the order. Result: I sold low, and bought high. 500 Euros of loss in total (including the fees of transaction), which should have been a profit of 1000 Euros if worked as intended.

This is a joke.

With the money they make I don't understand how can their servers be soooo bad ? This doesn't make sense.

Unbelievable, that you actually dare to continue with this BS

This is just one of your typical Kraken lies. There's is not a single indication to a new trade engine except your words. And as Kraken already has been lying and continues to do so, why should anyone believe you?

And to remind you bunch of criminals, you are still withholding roughly 50000EUR from us.

!Thanks for scamming your (previously) loyal customers!

Ciao Pigi, of course you know Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash are two separate currencies, so if you send Bitcoin to your Bitcoin Cash address, or vice-versa, your wallet won't receive the transaction correctly. Grin
I think that Kraken staff will need to manually sweep the funds from the incorrect receiving wallet, into the correct wallet.
Here's how: since you sent BTC to a BCH wallet, Kraken staff will have to export the BCH private keys from "your Kraken BCH wallet", and import them into "your Kraken BTC wallet" (recovering those BTC into your Kraken BTC wallet). Wink

Even if the user has mistakenly sent the BTC to a BCH address, I'm interested on how the kraken support will act (no response, transfer funds by adding an increased fee, etc...)

The user in the italian board has published the transaction: https://blockchain.info/tx/434f06efd0de5fa85447e2c4946e806aa719747217539890833f5cc45c9b223e

The transaction has 2 outputs, the second is still unspent, so i think that the blocked funds are currently here:

https://blockchain.info/it/address/14fYNe2SBiXxtG3xCq4dP1Jfhv49gihnuv

Kraken currently holds the related private key; I assume, by taking an additional fee, that is entirely possible for the technical support to recover the BTC.

hey kraken support .... can you help me?

You have made too many requests recently. Please try again later.

I'm getting this when I try to get to the password reset page. Does anyone know how long I'll need to wait until I can "try again"?
Does "later" mean later today/tonight/this decade?
 Huh

I don't know this for certain, but I suspect this message may just indicate a server error, like many of the other incorrect "this is disabled" messages the site is throwing out at the moment. ie. Just keep trying and you'll probably get in.

I managed to log in fine. In fact, the whole site seems to be working much more smoothly now. Don't know if the upgrades have kicked in but beforehand most pages would take several attempts to work or even load up. Added a new bank account and requested a couple of withdrawals earlier as well so hopefully they'll go through ok.

There's a gap of about 3 hours in the trade history data (you can see this on the Cryptowat.ch graphs, etc.), corresponding with a major improvement in the metrics on the status page, so something definitely happened.

Mmmh, we will do a little test of 100 small orders and post the results later.

But it could also be just the time right after the server restart. We shall see....

Maybe their major upgrade finally was put in to place. Everything on my end works quite well, it takes a little while before the pages load, but it is better than getting errors all the time.

Kraken works much better in the last 4-5hours , status page and some reddit threads confirms it but nothing official !!!

https://status.kraken.com/
https://np.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/7it1dy/it_seems_that_kraken_updated_their_engine_just/

But how hard is it to do a simple announcement...some people were freaking out during the maintenance, nothing was announced on twitter, on reddit, here or on their website...
https://np.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/7is3hs/404_page_not_found_with_kraken/

Since we have no official position we may soon find out that no upgrade was made but a server crashed as CryptoTeng said and took them 3 hors to reboot it. time will tell.
