Why is South Africa so shitty these days? I put some money on them against Siri Lanka ... hoping that they would play much harder... to not have to playoff to qualify, but they never turned up for the bloody game!

I thought that would be a sure thing.... but it is very disappointing.     I hope they will turn up for their next bloody game or I will write them off for the future. (Politics are messing with the team selection and it shows)

If we manage to win this series then 2 losers are going to play in DEC one overrated series called The Ashes 

Kiwis can taunt us same about this series but they are yet to beat us at our home.

Indian curators will prepare dust-bowls and that will make it impossible for the New Zealand bowlers to make a total of even 200. Now this has become the trend. Look at the recent matches played in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh (against South Africa and New Zealand respectively). The pitches were horrible and everyone struggled to make runs. Ideally the SENA curators should go for revenge and prepare bouncy tracks in their home grounds. But I don't know how that will end up, when the opposing team is having bowlers such as Bumrah and Shami.

It is not so surprising to see South Africa lost the match chasing. They lost the first match chasing and in the second match South Africa won because they batted first and Sri Lanka and then there was weather interruptions and the overs were cut short and they lost by a big margin and here in the third match even though Sri Lanka scored just over 200 runs South Africa struggled to keep the scoreboard moving and the team batting first won the first three matches.

I would have placed a live bet if i saw the score for South Africa to chase but luckily i was busy today and missed the match, if not i would have busted today  .

SA has been performing shitty for quite some time now. There was nothing to suggest that they will win as their batsmen have not been performing as expected by them. The score was just 203 and they were not able to chase it, imagine how bad they have batted. You should have checked their previous performance before putting money on them.

When players like Alan Donald, Shaun Pollock, Jacques Kallis and Lance Klusener were playing for them, they were the toughest side to beat. But times have changed and due to quota policy many of the promising white players have emigrated to other countries. And some of these players (Neil Wagner, Devon Conway, Marnus Labuschagne, Colin Munro, David Wiese.etc) have become the backbone of their adopted teams.

I agree that the "Politics" have ruined South African Cricket, because people are not chosen for teams based on their performance or skills anymore, but just on the color of their skin.

Some might say it is reversed Apartheid, but we have to agree that the previous disadvantaged people also has to come through to compete at the highest levels and some of these people are very skilled and capable to do the job... the problem is.. too many are chosen now, that are not ready for that level of competition and Politicians are only focused on numbers and ratios.

The excuse that the pitch was unplayable, should also have been a problem for the other team.. so it is the team that adapt to the conditions of the pitch ...that will win the game.

In current both situations we cannot blame curators or local authorities because currently both team from SENA have no full squads, and they are playing lots of youth players those are not familiar with these conditions and pitches which is giving some serious damage but still we have something which need to do some better for cricket here in this region.

I guess the next big tournament after this test series ends between India and England is the 2nd half of IPL 2021. Excited for the upcoming events.

Rahane is not in form at the moment but still, he has the ability to drag the batting till the end of the session. India is already leading the series and this is not the time to change the team as the next match will be the last one. I think they should continue will the current team if they want to win this series.

I would prefer Suryakumar Yadav, because Hanuma Vihari has been given enough chances and still averages just 32 with the bat in test cricket. He has played in 12 matches so far, and time has come to provide some opportunities for the other youngsters such as Suryakumar Yadav, Devdutt Padickal, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan. That said, I personally feel that Rahane may be given one last opportunity to redeem himself in the 5th test. BTW, what about Cheteshwar Pujara? Although he has made some runs in the last two matches, he's not in great form either.

England and India are competitive when bowl start to move but when sun comes up or pitch becomes flat Indian bowlers and batters are dominating as we have witnessed in the last game.

BTW, what about Cheteshwar Pujara? Although he has made some runs in the last two matches, he's not in great form either.

He almost scored a century and a half-century recently which is why replacing him when he recovered his form is completely dumb. His text experience shouldn't be under-estimated in my opinion.

Tough to tell. I am randomly predicting a draw due to rain interference. One team is aiming to script history while another team is desperate for a draw.

@JSRAW you’re absolutely correct however England have a major decision to make, and that is whether to play Anderson or rest him due to his heavy workload in this series. Furthermore India has no such worries hence that gives team India a slight edge over England, because they know their playing 11 is set and that’s why they’re my favourites to win this last match.

A lot of questions have been raised about England's batting and their overdependence on Joe Root. But at the same time, their bowling has mostly escaped scrutiny. England bowlers were good in patches, but failed completely at crucial stages of the match. On multiple occasions, they allowed the Indian lower order batsmen to make 80-90 run stands. They lack a bowler who can finis the tail quickly. I guess the absence of Archer and Stokes is the reason. But the current bunch of bowlers are completely ineffective against the Indian lower order batsmen.

For such types of matches, where you are too much confused, its better to avoid betting on them. You do not have to bet on every match. Sometimes no betting saves you a lot of money. Both the teams are 50/50 at the moment and also the odds should be similar for both teams. There is no favorite in this match.

England needs to Anderson to play the final test because they will be looking to win the game and not let India get away with the series victory and since Stuart Broad is injured Anderson should be playing the final Test and the rest of the bowlers will follow him.

What i heard from the news is that there is a covid scare in the Indian camp and will see how things will pan up as some of the coaching staff is infected and we should wait till the test results to come out to know whether everyone is fit to play the match.
