After watching test matches against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka all were clear as they are still not able to perform, so now we are watching how things are going against team like England with now this match is going to end today without any entertaining just some good personal records for the English players which is surely matter of shame.

Amazing batting skills from Mark Adair and McBrine which give good fightback to them even England is still in the game with trailing by few runs and 8 wickets gone not sure about McCollum who is injured because if he is able to bat then surely we can expect few more runs which give good entertainment to fans because still match is going to end today.

25 years old Tongue having impressive debut as first inning completely dominant by S Broad but now in this second inning he has 5 wickets haul on debut which is good start hopefully things could be better for him in coming matches as well 30 overs left in the day and Irish batting is still resisting which is amazing fight back.

Mark Adair played an ODI kind of innings coming at 9th position and he should have scored a century for his performance but he went for the extravagant shot once again and lost his opportunity. After Ireland were bowled out for 172 runs in the first innings, I never imagined that they would play so well in the second innings. Sadly just got all out for 336 runs. Ireland finished the second innings with just 10 runs to spare to England. After being all out for 172 runs in the first innings, I thought the second innings would be worse. Ireland need more tests and that too against strong teams like Big 3. Only Afghanistan and Ireland are two teams that have got test status in last 20 years. Agree with you, Ireland players need more time to perform better in test format. Irish players have played only 3 to 5 test matches. Where the players of other countries are experienced enough. Ireland has improved a lot on ODI format. They will also do the same in test if they get opportunity to play with big teams every year. The Irish Cricket Union has to take some steps too for improving the team performance.

A good try to cover some loss in 2nd innings, atleast they have brought the match to lead of 11 runs . But that was obvious they couldn't win from England because they were too good overall.

Forget about the win, it was obvious that England will win this test match but we must appreciate the way Ireland batted in the second innings and avoided an innings defeat. I did not expect this type of fightback by the Ireland players. They really played good cricket against the strong England team.

It was a great fightback by Andy McBrine and Mark Adair who both scored 85+ runs and make sure that the Ireland team did not lose by an innings. Ireland has lost 6 wickets for only 162 runs and then they lost the 7th wicket at 325 runs which shows that these two batsmen stand in between England's early win.

Why don't the team have similar performance in the first innings. Recently Ireland have played test matches against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and now against England. Right now the team is getting into the test cricket. Among this, it played well against Sri Lanka and scored 492 runs in one of the innings. At the end the team lost the match by an innings. So, losing by an innings could happen at any situation. I hope Ireland will perform better with time when they continue playing against different teams.

It would be fun from a neutral point of view.

It all changes when the team plays against different teams. Ireland team is completely new to test format cricket. Long back itself it have played one or two test matches. For most of the players in the squad this test match seems to be the second or third test match in their career. Only through experience teams will get better with their performance. Initially the team is not that good with T20 and ODI format of cricket. Now their position is better, and similar transition will happen with test format in the future.

The second innings saw two of Ireland's best batsmen who only got a chance to play a few matches. It is not an easy task to perform so well against England's bowlers. Mark Adair also performed well in the last match. Being new to Test cricket, their performance was relatively good.

First of all, I think it is not going to be interesting if they decide to prepare a flat deck. It actually might end up in one of those boring draws. That is something which the spectators certainly do not want to see. And for some reason, if they do decide to actually prepare a flat track everything is going to fall on the shoulders of the fast bowlers and it will come down to how fast they can actually bowl. And of course, bouncers are going to be the way to go. But for the sake of entertainment, I hope they do not repair a flat track.
