First test of Ashes is underway in Birmingham and England are battig after they won the toss. Its been a decent start from England as they are 123/2, Zak Crawley is not out on 61 runs. Australia recently won WTC by beating India comprehensively. England are normally good on there hoem ground and it will be great test for Aussies that how they perform in England. In last Ashes, England lost 4-0 and in current ashes they have new captain. Its just start of the game, lets wait till tea to see who is on upper side.

The team performance reflects their determination to bounce back after the previous Ashes defeat. Australia having recently won the WTC faces a formidable challenge on England home ground. The match is finely poised and the outcome remains uncertain. Lets eagerly await the post lunch session to witness further thrilling cricketing action in the Test match.

 In today's team's 1st Test match, England put in to bat and scored 124 runs in 26.4 overs. So far England have lost 3 wickets. Zak Crawley is out for 61 runs from 73 balls. Ben Duckett is out for 12 runs from 10 balls. Ollie Pope is out for 31 runs from 44 balls.  Australia is bowling very well for which the batsmen of the England team are under a lot of pressure. If England bats like this, there is a possibility that they will be all out.

One thing that I liked about Australia is that they kicked out Mitchell Starc from the squad and instead included Scott Boland. Josh Hazlewood is in prime form and it would have been huge injustice if he was excluded from the playing XI. They did the right thing by dropping the non-performing player (unlike teams like India who would sustain with non-performers for many years). At this point the match is 50-50. Zak Crawley was looking good out there, but then Scott Boland struck at the right moment. Now Joe Root and Harry Brook are at the crease.

Afghanistan finished their game 617 runs behind Bangladesh. At the end of the third day, Afghanistan lost two valuable wickets. If they could finish the third day without a wicket, Afghanistan would have a lot of confidence going into the fourth day. With the loss of two wickets for 45 at the end of the third day, they will undoubtedly struggle to handle the pressure on the fourth day.  
England are currently batting after winning the toss against Australia in The Ashes 2023. England has managed to score 137 runs for three wickets in the first innings so far. Nazmul Hossain Shanto became the second batsman of Bangladesh to score two centuries in the same Test. Earlier, Mominul Haque became the first Bangladeshi to score two centuries in two innings in the same Test. Today, Nazmul Hossain Shanto shared the record of Mominul Haque.  

Nazmul Hossain Shanto is unbeaten with 103 runs so far. Bangladesh is 460 runs ahead of Afghanistan. Zakir Hasan was unfortunately run out for 71 runs. Bangladesh is batting more aggressively in the second innings than the first innings. Bangladesh is running at an economic rate of 5.27. Bangladesh has lost only two wickets so far. With eight more wickets in hand, Bangladesh's innings is expected to be even bigger.

Bangladesh team is batting more beautifully in the second innings than the first innings. Earlier, Mominul Haque scored two centuries in Test matches. Bangladesh player Nazmul Hossain Shanto broke the previous record of two centuries held by Moomin against Afghanistan. Nazmul Hossain batted so beautifully against Shanta Afghanistan. The next batsmen can play with confidence. Bangladesh came ahead of Afghanistan's 460 runs. I think the Bangladesh team is very close to winning the Test series.

Today, Afghanistan is under pressure due to the fall of 2 wickets and it looks like they will be all out tomorrow. I think Bangladesh will win easily.

LOL.. England in deep shit now, with Harry Brook and Ben Stokes getting out in quick succession. Josh Hazlewood who is back from injury is bowling exceptionally well. Jonny Bairstow is at crease along with Joe Root and after that the tail starts for England. I counted Moeen Ali as a part of the tail, since he is not in good form with the bat lately. And after Moeen they have three genuine tailenders - Ollie Robinson, Stuart Broad and James Anderson. BTW, Pat Cummins is the only Australian bowler without a wicket for now. Their policy of dropping Starc has been proven right so far.

Joe Root is still in the crease but they lost their 5th wicket, Jonny Bairstow is in the crease along with Joe Root and they need to build a partnership for them to reach a decent total, hopefully the English batsman remember that this is a Test match rather than looking to score at run a ball.

Bangladesh had a good batting practice and Najmul Hossain Shanto improved his career average by scoring two centuries in this match and hopefully the match will be over by tomorrow.

In a country where swing plays a big role, this is the flattest wicket one could get. If you look at it deeply then it tells you about the insecurities of England in their Bazball approach. In fact this deck could be par with Pindi's pitch as well because here you have to throw your wickets.

Still, I'd like to see the result and this might be possible with some daring declaration from Ben Stokes (again). But for now, enjoy the longer version of ODI on an absolute road.

The two batsmen who are keeping England's game alive at the moment, the way they are batting, will definitely score a century. At the moment England's score is 292 runs in 61 overs with 5 wickets down, of course England are playing brilliantly in this match.

One more daring declaration from Stoksey and that too on a flat deck. Pretty much against the traditional wisdom but that's what Stokes and Maccullum promised when they took charge.

This could blowback if Australia digs in for the next 5 sessions but with bazball approach one thing is for sure there would be no draw and some excitement along with village cricket entertainment for the cricket fans, that's what counts in the end.

In a test match, sometimes you have to make aggressive decisions and this is what the England captain does. I am sure that England's back-of-mind plan was that they will take 1 or 2 Australian wickets by the end of the day but it did not happen.

England still has the upper hand in this match and if they can quickly take some wickets in the half session tomorrow morning, they could have more grasp on this match.

It's too early to say how will Australia bat in their first session tomorrow. I understand that they have confidence behind them as they win recently against India but remember England is the host nation and they are totally different than the Indian team. Again I would not conclude anything until I see how the Aussie goes to chase this score of 393.

A lot depends upon Stuart Broad and Moeen Ali as how these two bowlers put pressure on the Australian batsmen, They would need to take wickets in order to make an impact on this match and more importantly to justify their decision of declaration.

May be Ben Stokes wanted to bat again as soon as possible and hence declared the innings even though Joe Root was in the crease and Ollie Robinson was playing a proper Test innings and even i was confused and surprised when they declared the innings as i cannot understand what kind of approach is this with just 4 overs they could bowl even though they declared for the day.
