And after Moeen they have three genuine tailenders - Ollie Robinson, Stuart Broad and James Anderson. BTW, Pat Cummins is the only Australian bowler without a wicket for now. Their policy of dropping Starc has been proven right so far.

Joe Root is still in the crease but they lost their 5th wicket, Jonny Bairstow is in the crease along with Joe Root and they need to build a partnership for them to reach a decent total, hopefully the English batsman remember that this is a Test match rather than looking to score at run a ball.

Bangladesh had a good batting practice and Najmul Hossain Shanto improved his career average by scoring two centuries in this match and hopefully the match will be over by tomorrow.

In a country where swing plays a big role, this is the flattest wicket one could get. If you look at it deeply then it tells you about the insecurities of England in their Bazball approach. In fact this deck could be par with Pindi's pitch as well because here you have to throw your wickets.

Still, I'd like to see the result and this might be possible with some daring declaration from Ben Stokes (again). But for now, enjoy the longer version of ODI on an absolute road.

Two of England's batsmen are in great form at the moment and have managed to score a lot of runs so far. Especially Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow are two great batsmen who are now showing their best game to advance England's runs. Jonny Bairstow's batting performance is definitely likely to score a century if he survives to the end. Again Joe Root is batting brilliantly with the aim of scoring a century. Jonny Bairstow has so far collected 74 runs from 76 balls and on the other hand Joe Root has collected 77 runs from 120 balls. The two batsmen who are keeping England's game alive at the moment, the way they are batting, will definitely score a century. At the moment England's score is 292 runs in 61 overs with 5 wickets down, of course England are playing brilliantly in this match.

I don't get this, England had 8 wickets already down and what more runs the last two wickets can put to the England score?

In a test match, sometimes you have to make aggressive decisions and this is what the England captain does. I am sure that England's back-of-mind plan was that they will take 1 or 2 Australian wickets by the end of the day but it did not happen.

England still has the upper hand in this match and if they can quickly take some wickets in the half session tomorrow morning, they could have more grasp on this match.

It's too early to say how will Australia bat in their first session tomorrow. I understand that they have confidence behind them as they win recently against India but remember England is the host nation and they are totally different than the Indian team. Again I would not conclude anything until I see how the Aussie goes to chase this score of 393.

A lot depends upon Stuart Broad and Moeen Ali as how these two bowlers put pressure on the Australian batsmen, They would need to take wickets in order to make an impact on this match and more importantly to justify their decision of declaration.

May be Ben Stokes wanted to bat again as soon as possible and hence declared the innings even though Joe Root was in the crease and Ollie Robinson was playing a proper Test innings and even i was confused and surprised when they declared the innings as i cannot understand what kind of approach is this with just 4 overs they could bowl even though they declared for the day.

May be Ben Stokes wanted to bat again as soon as possible and hence declared the innings even though Joe Root was in the crease and Ollie Robinson was playing a proper Test innings and even i was confused and surprised when they declared the innings as i cannot understand what kind of approach is this with just 4 overs they could bowl even though they declared for the day.

Ben Stokes have done a different style of performance in the first day. Maybe if one wicket have fallen in the four overs, then it is a real success for England team. Australia have played those four overs really well. Surely by the second day start England could've started the innings if they hadn't declared the innings. Now the days start could bring few wickets. Lets see whether the trick work for them.

On one side you have Bangladesh who refused to declare against Afghanistan despite getting a lead of over 650 runs and on the other hand we have Stokes who declared the first innings despite having a lead of less than 400. It can be termed as insulting towards the Australian batsmen. Doesn't Stokes think that the Australian batsmen are capable of scoring over 400 in a flat track? And let's not forget the fact that the English attack is being led by James Anderson who will be 41 years soon.

On one side you have Bangladesh who refused to declare against Afghanistan despite getting a lead of over 650 runs and on the other hand we have Stokes who declared the first innings despite having a lead of less than 400. It can be termed as insulting towards the Australian batsmen. Doesn't Stokes think that the Australian batsmen are capable of scoring over 400 in a flat track? And let's not forget the fact that the English attack is being led by James Anderson who will be 41 years soon.

England forgetting that opponent is Australia and Aussies batsmen are capable of leveling 400 runs. Stokes still have 2 wickets left and he declared the innings. There was a "road alert" from Michael Vaugh yesterday and if England can score 400 runs on this track then Aussies can easily level this. England need few quick wickets on start of Day 2 in order to prove that there decision was right.

It is not certain whether Afghanistan will be able to complete the fourth day's play. If the Test match is not abandoned due to rain interruption, then Afghanistan's defeat will not be able to handle.

Taskin Ahmed has also joined the party of taking wickets. He has taken three himself. Afghanistan has already lost seven wickets. I personally do not think that they will be able to survive this day. It is still not the end of session one and Afghanistan only has three wickets in hand. I think Bangladesh should not delay the procedure. Because it is quite ascertained if there is going to be any rain interruption or not. So Bangladesh should close things up as fast as possible. The problem is Afghanistan is showing some resilience right now. But I don’t think they will be able to survive this day. If there is no rain interruption.

Bangladesh dominated Afghanistan's batsmen just like in the 1st innings. Bangladesh won by 546 runs. A different Bangladesh was seen playing. Their batting and bowling was excellent. There is a fine line between bravery and stupidity and that's a bazball approach for you.

This particular duo (Coach and Skipper) taking a radical approach that is alien to the English cricket psyche and to an extent world cricket as well. During this period ofc they will make a lot of mistakes and lose the matches but still, they would be in a very good position considering their pre bazball era situation.
