Arey didi you're throwing some fine wisdom here.  Tongue Grin

How hard is it to understand that so far BCCI policies are very ignorant as far as Women cricket is concern, they treat them as second class community.

Although recently Dada and his deputy made some positive announcement about WIPL but judging from their track record its hard to take their words for granted.

BCCI is hiding behind excuses like there is lack of depth at domestic level for women IPL, The time is right for a women's IPL (but does the BCCI agree?). Right now there are zero chances of Wome T20 leagues and India Pakistan series. Both are good for cricket but not in interest of people who control cricket.

Why would BCCI look for profit through women cricket when they are making more profit every year through IPL? WIPL will not generate revenue for them as not many Indians watch women cricket within India. Have you ever seen a lot of crowds gathering in the stadium when women cricket is being played in India?
One of the concerns is that the WIPL may take away audience from the IPL or dilute the brand of the IPL. It is true that unlike some of the other countries such as England and Australia, women's cricket is not that popular in India. But similar to what happened with the IPL, if the WIPL is launched it can cause a spike in the popularity for the women's game. It will bring big bucks as well, as some of the corporates and celebrities who can't afford franchises or sponsorship in the IPL may opt for the women's variety.
No, that was never a concern that WIPL will take away viewership of IPL. The truth is women cricket doesn't have viewership in India. The situation of women cricket is still better in india than in the neighbouring cricket playing nations. BCCI doesn't want to gamble with WIPL and waste its time and resources when they know it will not be successful at all.

The women's IPL might actually be successful because there is a certain amount of interest in women's cricket in India and as we all know that almost all of the people in India love cricket I think women's IPL will be also popular. But one thing needs to be looked at which is to make the schedule at separate times so that no clash happens.

As of now, they are the richest sporting authority, and they can manage things like this very easily without any big concern, even they can manage one ODI tournament as well for women which will create more interest and some better for spreading cricket around India for women talent.
All board may contribute some money and start some sort of league for money, as its not possible for small countries to bear losses from woman leagues. This will only help women cricketers to generate money for themselves, as of now I dont think there is any women cricketer who has earned adequate money from cricket.
BCCI is not small board and India is also not small country and if they start any league for women surely after some seasons they will receive very good response, and they will be in better position but sadly currently they are not thinking about this at all and their all greediness is on IPL and men cricket which is really poor thinking from this management right now just Australia and England Boards are doing some good for women cricketers and no other capable of doing this.
India is very good in few things and right now they can bring this big change in this region because if they announce any league with women surely many women cricketers from other countries will also participate in this and this will give them some good fan base which will also help in good marketing and better way of having some income may be in early years they have few loses, but later they can do some better.

I think India could have done really well with the women's IPL. But I also wonder if they are going to take the necessary steps for that because at the moment I am not convinced that the Indian cricket board is going to do something like that. I think they are really cautious and not trying to start something by being unsure about it.

That is quite understandable but at the same time, in my opinion, this could have been really big for them. And it's actually sad to say that women's cricket is not at that level in India like in other countries.

Cricket is very popular in India but men's only. If there is any interest in women cricket in India, BCCI along with there business partners must have kicked off women IPL by now. There is not much scope for women in cricket right now they should look for alternatives like football, basketball, golf.

I would be very happy to see Afghanistan beat Bangladesh, because as you have rightly said Afghanistan have progressed a lot and deserve more recognition for their efforts. Also if both India and Bangladesh play with a weakened team then it’s up to Afghanistan to show what they can do, and if they win against both the teams then other teams will take Afghanistan more seriously than they currently do.

I think it's quite possible for Afghanistan to beat Bangladesh to be honest because the Bangladesh team is currently not in the best shape or form right now.

Well, Afghanistan is also not in the best shape or form right now too, but I think Afghanistan takes their cricket more seriously than Bangladesh. And obviously, if they can beat Bangladesh the other teams are going to fear them Lips sealed, what do you think?

There is every possibility that Afghans can beat Bangladesh in ODI and T20 series and do some upsets in series with India. Bangladesh has included 4 new pacers in there team which can turn out to be a vital mistake, they should go with full strength team. I havent seen odds for BAN vs Afghan series, they must be very much balanced.

New Zealand Women cricket team have beaten India Women team by 3 wickets. India W gave a good decent target of 279 due to 100 runs opening stand between Sabbhineni Meghana and Shafali Verma. This is 3rd ODI of 5 Match series and NZ won the match and now lead the series 3-0.

@coinism, The New Zealand women's team played really well and won the series against the Indian women's team with two matches to spare. I think it was a really dominating performance by the New Zealand women's team starting from the T20 actually.
They won the matches very convincingly in the end. Let's see if the Indian women's team can salvage something from this series.

We can't say Indian women's team is bad in its performance. In 49.3 overs India lost all the wicket scoring 279 runs. New Zealand batted second even after winning the toss. They played in a much steady manner from the very beginning of the match. Finally New Zealand won the match by the 50th over first ball. Scoring 280 runs, New Zealand have lost 7 wickets. Indian team will give the best in the upcoming days.

It was a close contest we have to admit as Indian team was in the match throughout the game. NZ scored the winning run in very last over of the game. This clearly tells the story that apart from Aus, Eng and NZ, Indian team also has the potential to play quality game. I don't know how much backing Indian W team has from BCCI.

At best they are competitive, they do play some good cricket but at the same time these girls also expose chinks in their armour. I was hoping 300+ score in last match considering openers set the platform beautifully but then batting collapse, if it wasn't for Deepti Sharma then they wouldn't even able to touch 200 marks. Same with bowling department, despite early wickets every now n then, they keep failing to take wickets in the middle.

There is interesting fact in all three ODIs played so far. Regardless of who played first, target in all three matches is in 270s. In First ODIs NZ-W gave target of 275, 2nd ODI India-W gave target of 275 and 3rd ODI India-W gave target of 279. So yes though India-W are losing games but they are competitive in all games despite the fact they are not getting that much support from BCCI as there male cricket team is getting.

The Indian women's team is not playing badly, they are losing despite the good enough. Because the New Zealand women's team is more experienced than the Indian women's team. India have played three ODIs and one T20I match and lost all of them. Another reason for the defeat is that they are not getting the expected performance from the Indian bowlers. Bowlers have to play an important role to win the match.

Scoring 270 runs and then losing the game clearly means you have weak line up that cant defend the decent target. Another thing is that NZ is experienced an they have good batsmen (I dont know whether it should be batswomen) in there side like Amelia Kerr , Amy Satterthwaite  and Lauren Down  who are consistently good performing.

Currently, Bangladesh is in not good shape but still they have very good record against Afghanistan which is also good for them and now playing at home is another good advantage for them because at home they have very good record like beating Australia and New Zealand so right now most chances both teams having fair chance for winning these series of T20 and ODI.

For me here, Bangladesh is going with good chance to win because they have very good batsmen and Afghanistan is mostly depending on their bowling, and they have some space in batting which need to fix in future for having some better and fair chance against top ranked teams. But good thing despite many issues both teams are having some good matches for better experience and good exposure of game which will help them in long run.

In last two series at home against SL and WI, Bangladesh managed to win both of them by 2-1 and 3-0 respectively. So there is fair chance that Bangladesh can win ODI series against Afghanistan also. Afghanistan IMO is much better side then SL and WI, so Bangladesh need to be careful while playing against them.

Yes Afganistan is a very tough side to beat right now and for bangladesh it wont be easy to beat them. Comparing both sides head to head I feel both teams are pretty close and I would give a slight advantage to Bangladesh just because they play much more cricket against top playing nations and hance have more experience to perform during tough situations in a match.

Afghanistan is tough, but with the continuous winning Bangladesh will surely have upper hands over the series. Bangladesh have better experience playing against the top teams. Afghanistan cricket is growing good with time, maybe in few years time big teams will surely find it hard to play against them. Right now lack of experienced players is the only drawback which at times make an easy winning match go out of hands.

Both the teams level in quality because in short format many times we have no favorite the team plays good on this day able to win match because we all know cricket is game of luck one day you are hero and other day you are most hated person in team with this all most chances we will have some very good and entertaining cricket from these two teams of Asian Sub-Continent both are trying to find their way for better future but sadly right now it's very hard for them because Afghanistan is having domestic issues and Bangladesh is not going through as they needed to do for better results their domestic set up is currently having no results which they need for better quality.

Here advantage going with Afghanistan because their most players are having very good experience of many leagues around the globe, and they can take good advantage of this all.

Yes, I know that Bangladesh has a good record against Afghanistan but the thing is at the moment I personally do not trust them. And there are also a lot of problems in the team right now.
But at the moment with the arrival of the new coach Bangladesh should do relatively well. Actually, I don't know I have mixed feelings about Bangladesh and what they are going to do in the recent future.
