What happen to Sanggalang in game 1? I noticed that he does not play the full minutes, is he dealing with some injury problem?

This is the reason why he only played limited minutes.

A back injury forced Ian Sangalang to play just 10 minutes in Magnolia Pambansang Manok’s 88-70 loss to TNT in Game 1 of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals, coach Chito Victolero said.

Victolero bared in a text message that the Hotshots top big man was dealing with back spasms which also led to the decision to sit out Sangalang for the rest of the second half with the Tropang Giga up by a huge margin.

Hopefully, he is good to go in game 2 as Magnolia really needed him, his contribution in the semi-finals was huge, he needs to carry that in the finals.

It will be a huge problem for Magnolia if Sanggalang is not available in game 2. They have bigs like Reavis, but he is not getting any younger, Troy Rosario and Erram are both quick enough for him, and they are stronger since they are younger. Abueva and Sanggalang are a good pair inside as they play unselfish basketball, so without Sanggalang, Abueva's attack is so predictable.

Hopefully Sanggalang will play. He's part of the rally of Magnolia and pairing him with healthy and good minutes to Abueva. They are competitive against Erram and Rosario.

But, not only Sanggalang and Abueva but also Lee and all the front runners of Magnolia they also need to help and stand against the challenged TNT guards are dominating them. Paul Lee needs to lead his team.

It could be the same but it's still nice to bet on Magnolia as they don't want to lose another game again. They were awful last game, no way it will happen again, adjustment will be made and though Sanggalang has some injury problem, I know he understands how important this game is, no way Magnolia will go down 0-2, so after this we will see the series to be even.

If Sangalang continues to play limited minutes then I think it's money in the bag for TNT Katropa. He is one of the most important players of the Hotshots sd his contribution to the offensive and defensive chores is vital. Without him, Poy Erram will continue to feast on the inside as we all know that his confidence is a little bit high considering that he is fresh from a win on a battle with Junemar and Mo.

I just hope that coach Chito will find the right chemistry this time as to not jeopardize the injury of his bigs and still put up someone that can defend Erram this game2.

Also having good role players from point guard to center, TNT is almost complete.

Magnolia has to win game 2, they need this win otherwise they won't have the confidence anymore going to game 3 where when they lose they will be put at the brink of elimination. I concede this series belongs to the Katropa, kudus to coach Chot Reyes for the job well done though this is not over yet judging on the body language of the Hotshot's players, seem they are not into it.

Betting for Magnolia in game 3 might not be a good idea as I think TNT might go for the sweep and go home to their families as early as possible.

I thought that the MAG had their momentum when they cut TNT's lead to just 4 but it seems like they've lost their momentum and that causes the TNT to get their 2nd win 105-93.
These are the 3 reasons I think why TNT got their 2nd win.

1. Mikey Williams is just unstoppable. Just see his stats in the first 2 games. He can't be stopped by either Barocca or Jalalon. Now he scored 28 points with 9 rebounds too and when MAG cut down the lead to just 4, he got 5 of the 7-0 run that TNT made causing their lead to go up again. No one can stop him right now and if MAG can't find a way to stop him, there is almost no chance for them to win. He is a scoring machine.
2. Foul troubles. Abueva got fouled out, Barocca and Jalalon got 5 fouls too. Pogoy got fouled out too but it doesn't matter because there is Williams to just shoot around if needed. Abueva's presence inside the court increases the morale of the team so him being fouled out is just devastating for the team.
3. Help from Paul Lee. Like I said, his previous game wasn't that good for him because he got a right shoulder injury causing him to miss a lot of shots and not performing on his usual performance. Sangalang played well this game with 25 pts but that wasn't enough for the team to get the W.

Overall, MAG players just need to step up on shooting and find a way to stop Mikey Williams. Congrats on the TNT win.

Their coach is working very hard so they can work properly according to the plan, kudos to TNT for todays match, they really dominate the game for me. For Magnolia, I still hope that they can win against TNT, they still have the chance though so better not to give up yet.

William is the big advantage here. This rookie without any pressure can easily take the shot with high confidence. Coach Chot sees that, and he continues using it, same play and same outcome. With the help of Castro and Rosario, TNT will keep on abusing Magnolia, if they want to win coaching staff needs to balance his man inside, putting new fresh legs and allow new defenders to try stopping those guards who already gained too much confidence. 

That means there are no changes after all, but if the spread of TNT is -2.5, I think that implies something, it could be a trap so everyone thinks the line is easy and they will take it. Let's wait for the odds to be available, we could see another magic in game 3 as that's the only way Magnolia will win.
