I got 4 new S4s and I booted them up and the IP shown is 127.0.0.1. Any idea on how I can connect into my S4s? Is it connected to network? That is local host, making me think it is not connected to network.

Its the simplest way to get them to wake up when you get stuck in 127.

connect it your DHCP enabled network wait for a minute than you will see on LCD S4 s ip adress then use your web browser configure static ip your desired and save.

My miners are on the way and i have arduino board here and want to make remote program for remote restart to defaults and remote hard reset and so on... thanks

ok but you dont need hardwired hardware, you can just a simple TCP ssh connection remotely and you will do everything. bu if you can trust s4 place owner like datacenter maybe you have like that ( also add gps module for me joke ofcourse, i can help you whatever you want. (reset button is bottom left side near the LCD panel, this microswitch 1 wire is interrupt to BBB(beagleboneblack) other is GND. simply you can use pc817 optocoupler for down logic level to gnd.)

Thanks Cyper As i was reading through this topic, people were saying that sometimes you need to turn off and restore to defaults, to get the full speed, probably from main voltage spikes. I have relay board for the arduino, so i want to connect the two wires on C and NO. Is the reset button the same switch for restore to defaults ? And how about the power on/off switch?

Power on/off does what it says. The reset button [use a paper clip or something similar] will reset to factory defaults.

That last question, though, had me thinking they wanted to know if the reset button will reset to factory defaults. I could be wrong though.

So the reset switch is only for reset to default settings ? I thought it was for hard reset like PC and also for restore to def.

No. Reset switch is accessed by using a pin in the hole to reset to factory defaults. Hard reset (like PC) is a button at the back of the case, where you have to press and hold for a few seconds to turn it on or off.

If we manually change the voltage, frequency, etc... from factory defaults to something else; we have to manually change them back to defaults if we want to go back to defaults without doing a "hard reset" as you say. I do not know of another way to restore settings back to defaults with one touch of a button or one click of the mouse. If you find out, let me know. EDIT: The only thing I know that can reset BUT WILL RESET EVERYTHING is the reset button inside the hole to the left of the LCD screen. This may be what you are calling a "Hard Reset." 2nd EDIT: As for reseting something we have changed [frequency, voltage, etc...] back to defaults without a "hard reset," I do not know of a way to do that. I believe we have to "manually" change those things back to defaults the same way we "manually" changed them from default to something else; IF we do not want to do a hard reset.

No black friday deals, bitmain?
My guess-they will have something on Cyber Monday (after all coupons expire), but I would have hurried up a bit-there is a lot of competition out there right now. Side note: we have a 50PH jump overnight-somebody either deploying or burning in quite a lot of hashing power.

I think the hash rate jumps up or down about that much almost daily. Looks that way to me.
