Isn't that a different coin?
yes but with exactly same properties, as the old coin was invalidated and all owners automatically got exactly same amount of the new coin, due to an attack by someone who impersonated Tristan from poloniex and scammed me with too many coins several months ago. nothing in the original sale plan was changed. this coin is of course intermediate, just to mark the pre-sale ownership of the final coins which are not ready yet, and give buyers some liquidity.

What's the current price of the coins now. I was reading around page 39 that it was at .20 cents.

It has been 3 days since a member last posted on this thread. I am thinking of investing, is this still going on or what?
going on full pace I noticed the work has slowed down according to the commit log (last commit July 5th): https://github.com/naturalog/tauchain/graphs/commit-activityHave you guys taken your work out of public view? Are you still working on optimizing the compiler? Thanks.

Thanks. need to modify the math as the original plan has some problems. i spoke about it on our telegram group and on facebook, and a blogpost detailing this will be published soon (the draft is ready and i can email it to you, just waiting for a friend to edit it)

I just bought some Agoras because this really seems like it will be an amazing and actually useful technology. Of course it took a lot of studying to really understand it. The question is how will this be promoted? Do you guys think this is a project that programmers will seriously consider and start using once they hear about it. I mean, I've studied it a lot, but it's still hard to grasp the whole concept without seeing the actual product, and that could be a problem if others don't understand it. But if the people that do understand it start doing game changing things on it, then that would be big.

The idea behind the technology is to make something so computationally secure and relevant that people will have to use it. Especially in the crypto currency community.

Tau Chain can crawl the web, right? Can it use all that information? Can Tao Chain be similar Watson, the Supercomputer that beat the beset Jeopardy contestants? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watson_(computer). I guess a system like that needs a lot of ram though. I don't know.

So when, more or less will beta software that the public can test be available? So far this is the project that I'm most excited about, just wish more people were talking about it.

Also, when we do have software available, we should hold a second ICO for the unsold coins. Kind of like Antshare. With signiture capaigns, etc. Now the selling points in terms of hype with Antshare seems to be that it has China connections. Maybe Ohad has programming connections, where maybe a big time programmer can review it and give it a Thumbs Up. So that people can feel confident about the project, because it is a confusing project. Also similar to Iconomi, where it just got an insane boost in popularity just because the guy from Lisk is part of the escrow.
(I'm saying we as if I have anything to do with this project)

There is no specific end date. The crowd sale will end once the necessary development has been completed. Thanks very much!

So how will the coins be voted in? Since it's going to start with no coins, and the rules have to be set. How will those rules be set? What if some people decide for no coin. All very confusing. Also, for Ohad, how does it feel trying to explain these things to people? Is it in a way like trying to explain something complicated to a 5 year old? I'm here reading the Wikipedia page about the halting problem https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halting_problem. You kind have to get an education to understand some of the things being talked about.
