1361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Tony Harrison vs Tim Tszyu - Mar 13, 2023 on: February 08, 2023, 06:32:49 PM
I didn't realize that Tim Tszyu is already inactive for nearly a year. But it could a blessing in disguise, I don't really see him winning against Jermell Charlo. Jermell Charlo would've been too fast, too strong, too experienced, and too powerful for Tim. Tony Harrison is a good test and I want to see if Tim has improved a lot and if he is ready for the undisputed champ. If this fight is staged in the US, I'm pretty sure the odds would've been closer than what we are seeing at the moment. Tony Harrison is a very confident guy and is the only one that blemished Jermell's record although he lost in the rematch, it was very close before he was stopped in the 11th round. Hats off to Tim for not taking an easy fight.

On the other hand. It seems like Jermell has overdue mandatories already. Sebastian Fundora deserved a title shot rather than that worthless WBC interim. We'll see if Charlo wants a tune-up in his return or if he will right away face any of his mandatories.

Hopefully he will not go for a tune up once he has recovered from his injuries and go directly to Tim because that's what the schedule fight for him. And that is why Tim has to take a fight because he will have a long lay off if he wait for Charlo to heal. So it's better to take a get busy fight against Harrison, but it's a dangerous one. This is not an easy fight for him, or what we say a tune up fight. He has to push himself because Harrison is a tough challenger. The rematch is still close until Harrison gets over confident as Charlo stop him in 11 rounds. So Harrison is still very dangerous.
1362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how many times have you intended to stop gambling on: February 08, 2023, 06:05:25 PM
I think if you want to stop you need to stop, i know this sound like the same with other words, but not.

Definitely, but it's two different things in my opinion, it's the emotion though that you need to conquer. If you don't have control over it, even if your mind says to stop, you can still go back and gamble and continue.

If your mind and body tell you from the inside STOP no matter for what (most probably for losing money, or maybe time), you need to quit the gambling and re think all yourself and life, because you were hooked and you can fall more.

Again it's takes more than that. That's why gambling addiction is way different to let's say quitting smoking. It will really take a lot from you, mind, body and the help from within your circles, families and friends before you can quit gambling for good.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 08, 2023, 12:35:36 PM
Great time to break a scoring record while LeBron is on fire, unfortunately the Thunder spoiled it by handing them over the L. Now that LeBron is sitting at the top of everyone in terms of all time scoring, this somehow will not end the goat debate lol and that's for sure, this will only add fuel to this burning goat debate lol.

Anyway, I was wondering if there are people who put a bet on this one? I mean LeBron breaking the record against OKC and not against the Bucks.

That Goat discussion will lead to nowhere, everyone has his own goat, based on our criteria.

We should be be thankful for those who have seen the era of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and now Lebron James reach greatness. In terms of ring, of course Jordan 6 out of 6. And if Lebron will just win one or two, then he could be in the Mt. Rushmore of basketball.

40,000 points is not that far for Lebron to reach, he is not stopping and getting stronger and probably can still go and play in the next 2-3 years, high level of basketball.
1364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 06, 2023, 04:35:10 AM
So he moved to super featherweight and not going to defend his belt at featherweight? that's weird though, at least it's before to defend it one time before going up in weight.

He still holds the WBC Featherweight title. It's just that the WBC Super Featherweight title got vacated and as a WBC Champion at 126, he is qualified to fight for the vacant WBC 130 lbs title. If he wins, he needs to decide whether to continue in the new division, the 130 lbs, or return to 126 lbs to defend his crown or to push to his original plan, hoping for unification fights against WBA Featherweight Champion Leo Sta Cruz.

To simply explain this:

- if Rey Vargas will win against Foster, likely he will continue his journey at 130lbs and will give up his 126lbs title
- if Rey Vargas will lose against Foster, he will return to 126lbs as a champion and will mandatory face the winner between Mark Magsayo and Brandon Figueroa for his title defense match
- if Rey Vargas will finally move up to 130lbs as a champion, the winner between Magsayo and Figueroa will be elevated as a full champion

Someone can correct me on this if I missed something. Smiley

Thanks bro, I also try to analyze as well as why Vargas was in for the title shot or at least the chance to become a 2 division champion with a move up.

There are two great boxers in the WBC ranking, Oscar Valdez (former champion) and Robson Conceicao. Valdez lost to Shakur and lost his belt. But prior to that he fought Robson in a very close match. So obviously, WBC doesn't want to have Oscar and Robson fight for the belt again and given the chance to Foster which is rated 1 in their division. However, there is also rank 2 Eduardo Fernandez which was bypass by the WBC for their championship belt. So yeah, if Vargas win here then most likely he will retain and start his journey at this division and hopefully the first crack or his first defense will by Eduardo Fernandez.
1365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 05, 2023, 03:44:54 AM
Kyrie said he will re-sign with the Nets in the summer.
Kyrie also said he will stay with Durant for the rest of this season.

Now a change of decision right away lol. Maybe the Nets need to consider rushing things in a few days and grant what Kyrie wants. What a waste of their slot if the trade won't be executed and he will sit out the entire season. The Nets can acquire good role players in return with Kyrie's current worth.
I don't know if anybody aside from me saw some articles online, but aside from the Lakers, Mavericks and the Suns, the Clippers are joining the ride as well and they have a huge offer to give for the Nets just to get Kyrie Irving.

I made a quick search on which players the Clippers want to trade just to get Kyrie, but unfortunately I don't see anything. Now the question is, will the Clippers trade either Kawhi or PG just to get Kyrie? Or they will give draft picks plus role players just to get him? I would be excited to see the Big 3 of Kyrie, Kawhi and PG in the Clippers.

The Nets really wanted to trade Kyrie before the trade deadline (which is kind of surprising for me base on the article I read), and the Clippers are in need of a reliable point guard right now that can facilitate and at the same time, score.

I don't see either Kahwi or PG going to be traded if they are going to get Kyrie, both are untouchables in my opinion. It's probably Mann or Reggie Jackson and throw Norman Powell in the discussion as well and then probably future picks.

Speaking of the Clippers, they have a huge win against the Knicks in OT and Powell had a poster dunk against Julius Randle.

And he had a good game with 24 points to help them to get this win.
1366  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise described as false bull on: February 05, 2023, 02:44:58 AM
Well, I expect that the majority are not yet convinced with the current situation, doubts remain and I feel that every time when prices increase.
In two weeks of consecutive price pumps, I don't think we still need to think about it as a trap but we rather think this is gonna happen after the year in bearish. Might not be a bullish time in the market but I'd consider this as an indication that the demand is growing. Meaning that one of these days the price of Bitcoin will possibly reach $30k if the momentum won't stop.

If we mean that we are in a false bull because the real bull run is right after the block halving. But if we are referring to a fake break out, just like what we are seeing, price seems to jump from lowest low in November and then to $24k++ it concerns other specially TA guys.

But for us you just look at the long term perspective of the our investment, I will say we really don't care about the current trend.

If you we are looking for like the next all time high, and so we just continue to accumulate as much as we can, the price right now is good but we are looking in a bull run to the tune of 6 digits and that is the most important and not analyzing the price short term.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: February 05, 2023, 02:09:49 AM
^^ I would agree, decent to good opponent for Shakur but I doubt that he can upset Stevenson at this point. So I will have to put Shakur here winning maybe by a knockout or complete domination of the fight.

No offense to the Japanese fighter, he had the belt in Asia, beat Nakatani who gave Teo Lopez all he can handle and also fought Loma in his comeback fight. But that is not enough resume to beat the likes of Shakur right now.
1368  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for February on: February 04, 2023, 02:38:28 PM
I do think it's important to keep in mind the role of the Lunar New Year in driving demand for bitcoin. It's a time when many people in Asia, who are known to have a significant impact on the market, make investments and gifts. While it's definitely possible for bitcoin to surpass $25,000 in the future, I wouldn't be too surprised if the current high is just a temporary boost. Let's wait and see what happens in the next few weeks. March maybe a more affordable time for bitcoin to truly increase.

I doubt that it's the reason for the spike in price, I remember the same case in 2018, when people are speculating that the Chinese Lunar New Year will have a impact (be positive/negative), but it has none to be honest.

For this month, I think the sentiments will continue to be positive, so I voted to remain bullish and going to reach as high as $25k.

Again, the bulls have control of the market unless there is some negative news again or black swan event this month that will negatively impacted the market.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 04, 2023, 12:04:00 PM

After successfully beat Mark Magsayo and steal his WBC featherweight, now Vargas decide to move to super featherweight and challenge O'Shaquie Foster for vacant WBC super featerweight title. The fight will happen on February 11, 2023 or next a week at Toyota Arena, Ontario, California, U.S. Based on the moneyline odds Vargas is favorite with 1.45x odds while Foster is an underdog with 2.65x odds.

Still waiting the odds for Rey Vargas winning via decision.

So he moved to super featherweight and not going to defend his belt at featherweight? that's weird though, at least it's before to defend it one time before going up in weight.

In any case, it seems that he is the favorite even though moving up in weight.

So let's see the other listing though, yeah, might be good to look for via decision as it could be a better odds instead of the ML.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 04, 2023, 11:25:03 AM
^ Ya, that is crazy news that Kyrie has formally requested a trade with only a short time before the trade deadline. It isn’t totally unexpected though. KD hasn’t been healthy, Ben Simmons is a mess, and Kyrie wants to win championships. I think he needs LeBron. We’ll see what happens but I’m sure Lakers fans everywhere are hoping that a Kyrie for Westbrook trade happens. I can’t imagine it does for many reasons, but I’m not sure who is in a position to trade for Kyrie.
That would be a great deal for the Lakers if that happens but usually, we get to see these trades that are favoring the team that will be left or traded for.
This is an exciting developing story and if the rumors are true then there's an increased chance for the Lakers to be seen continuing to play together with Lebron but, it's on them to do the deal.
The question is if the Brooklyn Nets will agree with it. I mean, it's Westbrook and I do think Kyrie Irving is still more valuable than him especially when it comes to being dominating on both inside and outside shooting. Kyrie can definitely shoot and make successful isolation plays.
The Lakers should make the deal sweeter or there won't be any trade discussion that could happen.

If I'm not mistaken, the Nets management are willing to let go of Irving years ago, after he doesn't want to take the vaccine because of his own belief. And it really throw them off as obviously he can't play that time as the NBA mandated everyone to get a vaccine.

And then the whole statement of him, his anti-Semitic stance that cause him a 5 game suspension.

It just so happen that he looks valuable because there is no Kevin Durant and he become the main man. And with that, I think teams are reluctant to discuss trade talks involving Kyrie, in my opinion.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 04, 2023, 08:04:02 AM
Figueroa has so far held only one fight in the featherweight weight category in which he really won by TKO, but he has no experience in this category, which cannot be said about Magsayo who owned the WBC title there, however, bookmakers, and tau AI give preliminary odds in favor of Figueroa, I don't think that victory for him will be easy. Magsayo after losing to Vargas, I think he is very motivated for this fight.

Hopefully that will be the case for Magsayo, he needs to be motivated and at least be in the hunt for the belt he lost to Vargas. No doubt that he is a good boxer, might not be the next Manny Pacquiao from the Philippines, but he has the talent to match up against the champion in the featherweight class. As you have said, he once held this belt when he bet Russell. So that should be in his mind that he is the champion and that he can bet Figueroa in this fight. Not sure about the AI prediction though, I wouldn't rely on that one.
1372  Economy / Speculation / Re: YTD Bitcoin Chart Vibes on: February 03, 2023, 09:38:30 PM

We are all going to be hosting our own parties soon sparing no expense because Bitcoin is going parabolic!

$1,500,000 per BTC soon. Its coming, by 2030? When maybe 2045? Who knows!? But I believe that it is coming!!
Sounds like it's too far to wait mate, as there is plenty of time and good things to be enjoyed by everyone before then. Besides, I personally prefer to see a four-year cycle in Bitcoin than a seven-year or more than once-fifteen year cycle, that's really long for me to wait and see the magic you say. I have absolutely no doubts about Bitcoin for this, but an increase in the price in the market for Bitcoin will always be colored by corrections and each correction always takes more time to rise again.

Agreed! But true bitcoins are really in it for the long game anyways, savvy? It will take time, and at times it will be brutal, and other times it will be epic. If you play the market right you can make money both ways, but i've never been one to do that. Although I wish I would take a chance with that. I think its just anxiety provoking doing that moving large amounts of funds to exchanges or elsewhere in hopes to trade and make a profit. I have always stuck to the HODLing approach and steady stacking myself. Nothing wrong with a little wishful thinking though. Of course, there is no guarantee that this will ever happen but I will say that it surely will be one crazy ride if it does!

I try before to play the market, but it's really hard to make money specially in bear market. I have nothing against those who short or learn how to make money regardless of what conditions. Nevertheless, for the majority of us, who don't possess such kind of knowledge, it's better to stick and not make things complicated in our end. Just buy and continue to accumulate, specially in the bear market, because it is where the best time to stack up sats and continue to buy thru DCA and then HODL as long as we can, till the next bull run and then new ATH!
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market will come back bigger again on: February 03, 2023, 02:49:57 PM
Hello guys,
With this ordeal going on it seems much-lost faith and bailed as if the whole market is going to vanish. This kind of thing happens more often in the stock market with inside trading, embezzlement, etc. In reality, it’s a perfect time to get in with everything dropping so low. It will come back and come back bigger than ever after this dies down and there will be improvements to hopefully prevent this from happening again. So do not lose hope and know that the bad time will inevitably pass, and you may not be able to make up for this opportunity again. Just my opinion.
with market conditions like that we shouldn't need to worry and panic, for some people with bad market conditions is an opportunity to continue to add assets to their wallet, they will buy at a low value and sell when market conditions improve

That's how investors are, specially those who haven't had experience,

a. they are afraid of bearish market, when they should be adding more assets
b. they sell off and never comeback, or at least they are going back when we are in a bull run and price assets when they are already making a run.

So that is very wrong, we should accumulate when the price is low and that only happens in a bear market. And then sell it off to get a huge profit during a bull run and all time high.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 03, 2023, 11:59:44 AM

I'm not sure though if Donaire is thinking retirement, I never heard from him telling the public about his plans. Even after Inoue knock him out, he still want to chase greatness at 115 lbs against Estrada, but now he chance his plans.

He still wants to fight, but I believe he mentioned that he wants to retire as a champion, so he would like to get a belt again, and with what happened. I don't know anymore if Donaire can still have a championship fight soon, seems like the chance is not fair for older fighters nowadays.

Quote
Perhaps we should give him like 2-3 years to fight or less than that before he thinks of hanging his gloves for good.

But right now, the opportunity is there so why not take it.

But he cannot wait longer, he needs to be active to have more fights and to test himself if he still can dominate in this division.

I haven't seen a boxer who quit on top though, I mean if he becomes a champion again, I doubt he will just say's no I don't want to fight again. So obviously, it's up to the result of his next fight, whether it will be against someone like Rodriguez or Gaballo.

2-3 years might be quite long enough for his career, he is already 40 years old, and once a fighter reaches that age, sooner or later his body will be very different because of the effect, the wear and tear of being in this business for many years.

You are right, there's a lot of opportunity when you are a champion, so why would a boxer retire? It doesn't make sense, if he does really say it, then I think he has a different mindset, he values his achievement more than the money he will potentially get in future fights. Of course, there are boxers who retires during their peak, just like Mayweather.

Mayweather doesn't want to lose that's why he retire, didn't give Manny a rematch and contented that no one take his 0.

As compare to the GOAT like Muhammad Ali who is willing to face the best and not afraid to lose.

So for Inoue this is yet another opportunity for him to fight for the belt win or lose and he might be looking to set another record. If Manny become the older 147 lbs champion at 40 years old, Donaire can set that record too at the bantamweight division.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 03, 2023, 11:18:14 AM
How about the Brooks vs Mitchell fight? The Grizzlies added more competition or... enemies.  Cheesy Brooks cheap shot, too obvious.
Here's the link.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsGHffZziv0
Brooks trying to be the Draymond Green V2.0 isn't he? Cheesy
Cheap shots here, cheap shots there, trash talking other teams. Still the word that made him popular is the term "dynasty" which is un-applicable to them.

They will be hated in a bad way, GSW was hated before because they are too good during their runs. But it's the opposite with Memphis, they are too cocky, Morant, Bane, Jackson, Brooks and Brandon Clarke. They haven't proven anything and yet they talk about dynasty and trying to be the bad guys in the NBA. It's was obvious a cheap shot and they have been running their mouths throughout the game and so Mitchell just snap when he felt that shot thrown on him. And with that, they completely destroyed Memphis in this game.
1376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Charitable Casinos on: February 03, 2023, 10:10:42 AM
I'm aware that some of the proceeds of casino are often put on some charitable institutions, but still depends on the casino owner themselves. Because we all know that they are in the business of making money so it might be some conflict there.

But here there are casinos being sponsored by government or under their umbrella, so the proceeds really goes to the government and not just for charity.

So it's good to hear that there are still casinos who donated part of their revenues to charitable institutions.
1377  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Still in a Consolidation Phase, Can the Market Be Predicted? on: February 02, 2023, 08:57:15 PM
The $23300 to $24400 support-resistance range is considered to be a defensive zone for the bulls and bears after the bullish gains of January 20. If a bullish breakout occurs before the end of January, bitcoin price is likely to reach the $25K level soon.

Price resistance or at least considered to be defensive zone are round numbers, so it might be $30k in our case.

Due to the continued price rally, BitcoinBTC speculators consider the $20,000-conceptual round level as key support. This rapid rally turned the scenario into a sell-off at higher highs and till now the bulls are leading the market.

Definitely, but we have broken that already, and we are around the $24k-$25k, so that will be the support for now. But I do agree that bulls is in control, and if you short bitcoin, then you are going to lose money here.

Long positions are increasing in the market in view of the higher-low formation. Market leader-Bitcoin may soon break this box pattern due to positive market sentiment.

Yes, that's what I said, we should go long here, although the price is increasing by day, it still make sense to accumulate, still very cheap, no need to buy 1 bitcoin right away, steady is the name of the game, do DCA.
1378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 02, 2023, 08:38:14 PM
That's for sure because this is a rare scenario and probably one of the most memorable play in the league because there will be another player who will pass Kareem's scoring title and that would take a lot of time before LeBron will get dethroned by someone in the next generations.

May take a while but maybe sooner. The way the game is being played right now, the scoring title can be over took sooner. We are seeing high scoring games lately and I barely see games with scores under 100. Stars are shooting 3s like it is just a perimeter shot. If this kind of game continues, a prolific scorer with a durable body will be able to do it.

Aside from that, the league is now improving and even the big guys now are shooting beyond the arc with high percentage. So different from what he saw back in the day because the big guys are focused to guard the center and doing the most physical play. And, I almost forgot, this season alone, it's quite unexpected that players are now easily putting 40-50 points in any given game.

Probably but the key is how consistent they will be in the future in order to beat that record to be set by Lebron before he retires. Even if this guys are scoring 40-50 points in any game but they are not that consistent, missing games and injuries it will be hard to break that record.

There are no one in the top 10 of the scoring leaders that are active, the closest is #14 who is Kevin Durant, and then Harden and Westbrook #27 and #28 on that list.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 02, 2023, 03:06:25 PM

Yeah, he has proven that he can win outside of his native country Japan. But if this one is going to be held in Saitama again, Inoue will have so much confident because he wanted to please the crowd again, just like what he did against Donaire, devastating knockout win.

Perhaps we may want to re-phrase that, chances of Fulton are slim to stop the train hype of the Inoue. Naoya is on a destructive path that we don't know who is going to beat him in 122 lbs.

Fulton is really in a tough challenge here as Inoue will be the crowd favorite despite being the challenger. I can't imagine this fight will end in judges' scorecards as if we follow the trend, Inoue will easily win here via KO. As long as Fulton is willing to go toe to toe, it will not be a boring fight, and of course, he has to suffer a painful defeat as Inoue is such a heavy hitter.

Depends how tough Fulton's chin against Inoue's power. But we all know that there are no chin in the boxer that can't be broken. Sooner or later, they will have to face a boxer that punches hard and their chin are going to be soft.

Fulton might not go toe to toe because it will be dangerous for him and will try to avoid Inoue's power punch. Not saying it will be boring, but Fulton could not be willing to go fight in that strategy in the first half of the fight but then will adjust how the fight goes.

Cloudbet is doing kyc and its joke, they ask you to make selfie outside with street sign saying your address, in same time holding today's date newspape + write "Cloudbet *and today date*" and in same time holding ID card

I think next thing they ask is nudes from my wife

about Playbetr no idea how they are A rated bookmaker.. probably they pay someone on this thread good money, there are numerous complaints against them everywhere and on every platform their review numbers are so low.

duelbits and nitrobetting are the best so far from my own personal experience

1) After that blood sample is a must  Cheesy

2) Duelbits ask for KYC, selfies and other shit

OP as I mention earlier Nitrobetting is your choice.

Lol, it gives me a good chuckle about asking for wife nudes,  Grin

Seriously though, every casino is going to do KYC, of course we don't want to do it, but times has change for better or for worst, it's no longer when we can play anonymously with just our bitcoin addresses and that's it.

And probably this is the price we have to pay for bitcoin and crypto in general going mainstream.
