1961  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Gift cards providers on: December 13, 2021, 05:21:30 PM
We have been working since 2012. This means that we are a reliable platform.
But the same cannot be said for "all" of the sellers on your platform! Am I right?
- I'm not sure you'd be counted as a proper gift card provider, since "you're" not providing anything [other sellers/unofficial suppliers are doing it] while there's the following thing as well:

  • BuySellVouchers will not constitute as a party in your transaction with the seller and is not responsible for any damages and/or losses that may arise in case of default of either party.

Please refrain from changing [or inserting your domain name] the subject field when you're posting on someone else's thread!
1962  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Yeild interest on loan? Interest check on: December 13, 2021, 10:53:13 AM
Have you ever seen anything where you can earn interest by borrowing funds?
How good does it seem to you?
Too good to be true!

every user joining the rounds.
Apart from what you've already said in your last post, it would've been better if you could've provided an in-depth explanation for those rounds, but from what I've read and understood so far, it does look like a fancier version of a cloud mining, combined with a Ponzi scheme + some twists [others might be able to give better examples]!
- I hope I'm wrong.
1963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even want all your BTC to be anonymous. on: December 13, 2021, 06:00:10 AM
does anyone worry that some of that might come back to bite them in the ass at some point in time when it comes to taxes
If I was someone who kept avoiding the taxes, then "yes [it's inevitable]".

So following that, so do you really want it all with no paper trail. Or even a difficult to follow trail, since if it is difficult to follow and you do have to prove it you might spend a lot in time and effort (read money) proving it.
Personally, I prefer to go with a route that doesn't lead to a big mess in the future!

but if I handed you cash and you sent it to me how do I really prove it.
Since only one part of the equation is dealing with cash, then the other side still has to make a transaction [assuming that you're not going to receive the private key from the other involved party] and that means you can still find a record of it with the help of certain explorers that also lists their value when each of those transactions was made.
1964  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Miners. Discount for wholesale orders. on: December 12, 2021, 04:13:14 PM
At what point does a thread with a user bumping their posts with links to attempt transactions outside of this platform qualify to be removed?
When it has nothing to do with accepting payments in BTCitcoin and other cryptocurrencies + there are also the following rules:

  • 4. No referral code (ref link) spam. [1]

    5. No link shorteners that require users to view an ad.

    6. No linking to phishing or malware, without a warning and a valid reason. [e]

    11. No linking to illegal trading sites.

Are they prohibited?
Based on its content, they're not but you're not allowed to bump your thread twice in a day:

You might want to consider using the format from the following thread [it'd help with the sale, especially after seeing the "shipping after the payment" part in most of your updates]: Posting guidelines for [WTS] Physical Goods - Marketplace
1965  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paymaya planning to add crypto? on: December 12, 2021, 01:44:56 PM
kaya gusto kung malaman ang opinion ninyo about dito.
Unlike dun sa nabasa ko from "public announcement ng GCash", sila [PayMaya] ang nakikita kong mag cocompete sa Coins.ph dahil mukhang may balak silang gumawa ng bagong platform, as opposed to integrating other services sa platform nila [like GCash]!
- Unfortunately, base dun sa nabasa kong job listing, I have a strong feeling na magiintroduce sila ng sarili nilang token at gagamitin nila yun sa future products nila [e.g. loan services and similar stuff].
1966  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bloomberg: Gcash Considers Cryptocurrency Trading and Stocks Platform on: December 10, 2021, 04:35:21 PM
Obviously, magandang balita ito pero konte lang magiging impact niya para sa mga Pinoy, dahil mukhang purely on the investment side lang ito [base dun sa nabasa ko] so hindi natin pwedeng physically gamiting ito, unlike sa Coins.ph [in other words, I doubt na makakapag compete sila sa Coins.ph]!
1967  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano S Plus on: December 10, 2021, 01:51:13 PM
- Bigger memory to support more coins and apps.
They've just mentioned a few minutes ago that "it'll have about the same storage as the Nano X", so it's slightly less than 1.8 Mb and despite really hating how they've been dealing with certain issues, a part of me wants to get one of these when it comes out [assuming that it'd come with a reasonable price tag].

- Price between 59€ and 119€
Judging by its feature, I have a feeling it'd be around €89 while also providing discounts to those who have purchased the Nano S lately.
1968  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Hardware wallets on: December 09, 2021, 05:58:18 PM
ang problem is every time na mag transfer ako sa trezor is new address yung binibigay is theres any possible ba na tulad sa electrum show up lahat ng address at ang gagamitin ko lang is isa para less hassle para sakin ito?.
AFAIK, walang way para makita natin lahat ng mga addresses simultaneously [through Trezor Suite], pero pwede natin ireveal ang bawat addresses kahit na nagamit na natin yun at walang problema kung mag reuse tayo ng addresses [apart from privacy concerns]: Screenshot

  • Receive tab > Hover over one of the previous addresses > Click reveal address > Enter your pin > Double-check the address > Confirm > Copy it.

Or theres a way to connect an electrum wallet to my trezor?.
Here you go: How to install Electrum with Trezor device
1969  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk - if it's not broken don't fix it on: December 09, 2021, 08:13:09 AM
Yes, some features are needed but member made telegram bots have done a good job at filling that necessity.
In regards to the subject field, you have a point but don't you think it's a bit late for that [considering how much they've spent so far]? There are certain things that you can't achieve with those telegram bots [e.g. responsive design and a few other stuff].

For what it's worth, I do like the overall feeling and look of the current software.
1970  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] BitMainantMinerMiner.com (multiple red flags)!!! on: December 08, 2021, 08:36:00 PM
for some reason, they like using WhatsApp as a messenger for communication instead of an email address.
IIRC, there were certain ways to create a fake WhatsApp account [in other words, it takes little to no effort for them to start over with a new one].

Flag supported. Hopefully newbies and guests will see the warnings.
Thank you for the support and also for posting a warning on the other thread.

There have been some developments:

1971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin platform on: December 08, 2021, 03:46:51 PM
Also when i buy percentages of bitcoin on this app is it safe in my wallet?
Anything that connects to the internet, it's "not" safe! Other users have already explained how you can reduce the risks, but after seeing @DannyHamilton mentioned Ledger, I would like to add something in regards to them:

Does it still accumulate profit in my wallet or have i got to do something else to store my percentages of bitcoin??
It doesn't automatically give you a reward... Look for the "Crypto Earn" part on their app, then you can stake it from there.
- Take note of the "minimum limits for earning a reward [scroll down to the middle of the page]"!

Btw, I'm not one of their users, so I can't comment if they're reliable or not!
1972  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Show off your hardware wallet on: December 08, 2021, 10:52:12 AM
Are you implying that the pen-shaped item is a hardware wallet?

At first I was wondering what is that Nano S doing in the background on your screen and why don't you mention that you have one of those as well. Then I realized that it's this thread that's open and visible on your computer screen.
My bad [sorry]... Without the vignette effect, your profile would've been more noticeable in the upper left corner.

I t would be very interesting to see this hardware wallet, but I completely understand your concerns why you're not sharing it. I tried to make little search for this wallet, but failed to find anything.
AFAICS, no one has posted anything about it on this forum [so far], but there are a lot of other wallets out there that are based on Trezor's firmware [to an extent]:

You just made my day Cheesy
1973  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Designers(Signature,Avatar,etc) on: December 08, 2021, 09:23:41 AM
Got it Smiley. Though the list is a bit outdated due to no information forwarded from the ones got listed, I appreciate the word.
Perhaps it's worth changing the status [e.g. NA, NSA and etc...] for those that haven't been active for more than a few months...

Thank you for informing me (even it's late). I updated the op and removed you in the list.
Thank you as well [I appreciate it] Smiley

with the risk of going offtopic but I have to ask you, why did you stop with your designing services?
As I remember, you are very talented and skilled. you did something to me a couple of times, and I was more than satisfied with your work. it would be a pity if you really neglect it.
Due to the lack of time, I'm having a hard time balancing my RL job with designing services and that has led to not being able to deliver my work on time [being on time, is a sign of respect and I can't achieve it].
- Thank you for the kind words, it means a lot Smiley
1974  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help with research - Comprehensive list of desktop bitcoin wallets on: December 07, 2021, 05:09:13 PM
Hi! I'm trying to do research by compiling a mega-exhaustive list of desktop bitcoin wallets.

It has to support BTC (If it's a multicurrency wallet)
~Snipped~
You might want to mention if you're only looking for those with source codes [to check if you can reproduce them] or not, but I'll list one for each:

  • Guarda - On some review sites, they're claiming it's open-source, but AFAIK it's "not" completely open-source + it's connected to "Changelly [the same goes for Atomic]"!
  • Jaxx - Closed-source.

Note: I would not recommend using either of them to store anything [especially the first one]!
1975  Other / Meta / Re: If the signature campaings are removed from the forum, will you stay or leave? on: December 07, 2021, 12:55:54 PM
Despite wearing a paid signature at the moment, there were certain periods that I was just wearing my own signature [not a paid one], so I'm not going to leave but without those, the overall activity on this forum would probably go down significantly, hence why I voted for the third option [e.g. fewer threads and etc...].
- That'd also lead to less spam, so it's not that bad Smiley
1976  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Show off your hardware wallet on: December 07, 2021, 11:49:30 AM
tell us when and why you bought your device, and show us its current condition.
I bought my Trezor One around late last year or early this year... Before that, I was using a local hardware wallet that was based on Trezor's firmware [it was 30% to 40% cheaper] but it had a lot of bugs in comparison to what I was seeing from the "real" Trezor hardware wallets, so I finally decided to purchase a Trezor One and I'm really pleased with it. Despite keeping it in a drawer with a lot of other stuff, there are still no scratches on either its body or screen.

Note: I can't disclose the name of the local hardware wallet due to safety reasons [e.g. various threats] against a few of the scammers I've exposed before and in case someone mentions why I'm participating in a local board on this forum, I'm not residing in there.

1977  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coin Base or Meta Mask? on: December 07, 2021, 10:13:22 AM

It's worth noting na mas maganda kung gagamitin niya ang MetaMask with a hardware wallet [it supports both Trezor at Ledger, pero mas maganda yung Trezor]!

Kesa nasa wallet tulad ng Coinbase, hindi mo hawak private keys mo.
Meron din silang wallet kung saan hawak mo ang private keys mo [non-custodial yung wallet]: What’s the difference between the Coinbase app and the Coinbase Wallet app?
1978  Economy / Scam Accusations / [Warning] BitMainantMinerMiner.com (multiple red flags)!!! on: December 06, 2021, 06:58:49 PM
What happened:
As soon as I saw there's a recurring pattern [MinerMiner] in their domain name, I knew it was one of those platforms that are meant to scam its users...

Red flags:

Tagged and "created a flag".
1979  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Linzhi-inc.com review for scam - scam website - stay away on: December 06, 2021, 02:28:45 PM
So basically I don't have a chance to get my money back...
Odds aren't in your favor but don't let what I've said previously, discourage you from contacting the services I've listed before [from time to time, you might bump into stupid scammers out there, so there's still a small chance of recovering those]!
- Depending on how much it costs to hire a lawyer or use certain services, you might want to consider if it's still worth pursuing it/them or just ditch the whole idea.
1980  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Desktop Crypto Tracker on: December 06, 2021, 12:56:04 PM
Here are a few suggestions after trying it on my ancient/low-end laptop:

  • Responsive design - Apart from the three buttons at the top and the tradingview window, everything else remained the same while I was adjusting its size.
    - I do know that most of the users that use such programs probably have multi-monitor setups, but there are still others that simultaneously use a few apps with a single monitor.
  • Dark mode for the main part.
  • Custom alerts.

I really liked it Smiley
