I thought I will paste this conversation between betterbets and ranlo on the betterbets auction thread here because also we = other app owners should get some more information
ranlo in blue text and betterbets in maroon

Since I couldn't edit the last post, I wanted to let everyone know that MP will be working directly with app developers to help create a mutually beneficial relationship, and ensuring we help make the platform -- as a whole -- successful. There are a lot of exciting things in store for MP over the coming weeks, months, and years ahead, and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out! If you make a bid on BB, understand that you're in great hands, with the full support of the MP team behind you all the way.

We know the new team of owners of Moneypot and have had several conversations with them; we're confident BetterBets.io will be in good hands with them. They understand that in order to their brand to succeed and thrive, the relationship between them and the individual gambling sites has to be mutually beneficial. So while I can't speak for them, I think you'll see positive changes under the new ownership and I'm quite certain that they will not be an impediment to the site's future success.

here we have exactly a very nice example about the preferred treatment of some children of the moneypot family

betterbets knows the new owner.................we don't and after the question to be so nice to introduce themselves we get strange answers. @ranlo and Doge Digital = Keeth are well known in BCT community but not the other partners beside Dean who is out now

betterbets had several conversations with the new team/owners..............hmmm why betterbets and not with us other owners?

Uh, our conversations with BB were unrelated to MP. Also, they only spoke with myself and ACoin LLC. So this is entirely unrelated. They trust, however, that I wouldn't be associated with a bad group, therefore, by nature of me being part of it, they have confidence. And while I would normally say it's not anyone's business what our discussions were related to, I'll be transparent: it was in regards to the auction of BB.

First post of the thread is the introduction of everyone and who we are.

We've been nothing but open to everyone. If you have a question, simply ask it. Quit posting negative things (and especially drop this "favoritism" accusation). We've answered anything you've asked, aside from when you constantly throw out favoritism even after having been answered multiple times. And that's simply because there's only so many times we can answer the same question...

how would you understand this sentence
We know the new team of owners of Moneypot and have had several conversations with them

they could write we had a conversation with ranlo

the first post does introduce some anonymous people in a very anonymous way. or we missed another more detailed introduction

we are asking all our questions here but are not getting any answers

Quit posting negative things (and especially drop this "favoritism" accusation).

it looks that you lost a bit of your temper and we will promise you that we will not quit posting our thoughts and if you don't like our thoughts that would be very understandable because the truth hurts. or do you want us to shut up as it is a usual behavior in a dictatorship?

until now moneypot was treating some apps and owners in a preferred way and for us it looks like as it goes on and we just asking for an equal treatment. what is wrong with this?

You don't have to "shut up." We, as MP, are here to work with all app owners. We don't play favoritism. Those that have concerns are more than free to voice them. I still don't understand where you're getting this flawed perception of playing favorites from. You know as much as any other app owner does. Your complaints (such as having dead sites on the "promoted" list) have been noted, as stated many times in the past, and will be fixed when we have control and can actually do something about it.

You've yet to raise a concern that we can answer to. And it's impossible to give an answer if you're not giving a question that has an answer.

A "more detailed" introduction of members is up to each of them to decide on. That said, you know of myself, Doge, ACoin LLC. Cyclops, Rio and Alex are other members, and if they come out and speak, that's on them. As it is, it's just been us other three that I'm aware of.

Feel free to post your opinions, but make them constructive. We can't help if you're giving nothing to help with. I've been nothing but forthcoming.
2042  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dragon's Tale - a Massively Multiplayer Online RPG/Casino on: December 12, 2015, 07:42:17 AM
A quick question for the regulars: about how many licensed herbers are there usually at any given time? I remember years back when I played, there would always be at least 2-4 of them online.

Just curious as that was one of my favorite things to do, along with herb spotting when not licensed.
Actually there's no herbs license now. anyone who's level 3+ can pick the herbs, the value of herb and rate of spawn is pathetic.
Oh wow. That's different. Man, I have been gone from the game for a long time. Herb spotting and licensed herbing used to be so +ev if you had the time and tp's.

Yah, I have no idea what motivated the change in the license structure, why he took the  licenses away.  I never really went for the herbs anyway, as I had better things to do than to look around for hours.  But I do know that there were people who enjoyed it.  I've still got an herb task at my level, I have doubts that I'll actually ever complete it.

If it was +ev, that makes the reason for removing it self-explanatory, I think, Smiley.

I know, site just went down when i had a decent fantasy land, frustrating to say the least

Happen to know of any sites that allow free play (fake chips I guess) on OFC? I've been wanting to get into it (I watch the games a lot on SWC) but don't want to newb out and lose my chips, Sad. SWC's the only site I play on that has it.

Compare Betcoin.ag Campaign to other campaigns and you will clearly see that we have very good rates and bonuses. Smiley

As a Hero Member after the Stage 2 you can get 0.203BTC from posting and from an avatar + special bonus.
Best regards.
Indeed. Betcoin.ag is offering very competitive rates per posts and the bonuses are just a cherry on top of the cake. The bonus from round one however was quite difficult to convert. I managed to get 0.2BTC roll over before losing it all, but have had a lot of fun nevertheless!

I boosted mine up about 7x before losing it (I think like 292 mBTC rollover).

And @Betcoin, I vote for a focus on poker going forward. I don't do much of the slots and such -- I prefer skill-based gambling, Smiley.

We hope so too!!! We're hungry  Grin

Do you have a watermark of sorts to help decide when dividends will be paid? Mostly to help track progress to that point.

BTC prices are up more than 25%, not 10%......and block rewards have been reduced  Undecided

I deposited a significant amount of btc in my account today at 10am MST and the funds have still not been credited to my account.  I did submit a ticket but haven't heared back yet.  I have deposited many times before with no issue, so Im not that worried, but I am still relatively new to all this so just a little nervous.  Please help!  PS, my forum user name will help you find my ore-mine user name, though not the same.

Did you check the blockchain to see how many confirmations it has?

There are currently 55 confirmations.

Ah, it could be the blockchain.info DDoS then, if that's the API they use.

I am not sure what that means in correlation to my problem.  Could you explain?

If they use the blockchain.info API and it's being DDoSd, they can't see what deposits are being made, nor can they withdraw funds.

November Metrics and Financials below.

Monthly Metrics: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmSWZWkGJ1V3dFpxZHVTN0x6ZldUeHRteWdBd1pMNXc#gid=16

P&L - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mFzQOuJ-8hBI8ftH75EEhRkcpLh8NbJMJPOoKhK17Yo

Sportsbook:                                      +8.9751 btc
HTML5 Casino:                                  +10.9724 btc
Bit777/ PeerBet (CBTC Share):           +3.0931 btc

Overall Month: +23.0906

Noteworthy callouts
Overall, a pretty good month, in fact it was our best month revenue-wise since March of this year!

The PeerBet sale is still pending the finalization of arrangements with the purchasing group. More detail will be shared upon the closure of the deal.

The Sportsbook had its best month of 2015; however, volume is still low YoY though and continues to be a real opportunity into next year.  College and Pro Basketball are helping keep players interested throughout the week, but Soccer and NFL dominate the weekends and give us 85% of our Sportsbook handle nowadays. There is a clear necessity to reinvest in the development of the Sportsbook in 2016 to compete with the leaders in the industry and earn market share from them.

The Casino also had nice action, with our VIP program helping bring back repeat players. We have minor improvements, and a new feature, in Blackjack which we anticipate to rollout in January 2016.

Our main monthly expense, which we still believe gives us the best ROI, is our partnership with our SEO firm. They have been putting out fantastic content across the web, and it has been paying off  as we see a lift in organic traffic WoW. As we head into 2016, we will reevaluate our position on paid advertising and its impact, especially as it relates to advertising on BitcoinTalk.org and other Bitcoin forums.

Very nice! I hope soon enough we'll be able to get some dividends so the price of CBTC stock will rise again, Sad.

This just... uh, why would you need it? If I wanted to steal someone's data, I'd rip out the HDD and steal ALL of it, not waste time trying to search the drive while trying to remain hidden. I doubt criminals often go "I need to sit here for an hour looking for info!"

This does not steal data, it destroys the computer[1,2]. For all I know the device itself is legit, but I didnt try to buy one so I cant attest for the site itself.

[1] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TidRpVWXBE
[2] http://thehackernews.com/2015/10/usb-killer.html

It destroys the USB port. Again, who is going to go to someone's house with a USB drive and try exploring all their crap to find specific files, when you could spend 20s to rip the HDD out and take that so you have unlimited time? It makes no sense.

You obviously didn't read my post in the context of the thread/item*

I dont think ponzi can last for 2years lol.
I think its not a ponzi.

Heard of a ponzi that pays a very low 2.32% interest per month? If this is ponzi with the low interest then this will the an insult to the  other running ponzi's out there Smiley

As with anything, there's risk. It's up to you to gauge your risk tolerance. Nobody else can do that for you. Only you know how you feel.

I restarted the discussion on future Devcoin price, previously titled: "Good time to buy Devcoins!" now is: "Devcoin price forecast".

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1275749

Everyone's forecast is welcome!

I predict the price surges by an entire satoshi once the Devtome gets fixed Wink

If vircurex actually run away with the money now (no deposits or withdrawals can be made) and the withdrawal problems that Cryptsy has, I predict that DVC will drop with one satoshi. However, there is still one market, BTER provides a DVC/CNY trading pair.

Too fucking bad, that I sent all my DVC out of Cryptsy, straight into the mouth of vircurex... 30M coins :/
So, I'll just beg and pray that vircurex just has a problem with their wallet services. Tested to send there a few DVC an hour ago, and the deposit cannot be seen either.

I guess this is quite a hot topic for devcoiners, as vircurex has been quite a big market place for us.

I haven't sold any of mine in a LONG time. I used to play the market to build up more... and then they crashed. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to liquidate at this point or remain hopeful that something can be done to infuse value into them again. Feel kind of stupid... had an offer when they were 120 sat still to buy all of mine at 110 off the market. Declined because I had faith in the project. Now they're almost valueless, Sad.

Vircurex has a tradition of issues but they manage to solve things: http://www.coindesk.com/exchange-vircurex-freezes-withdrawals-claims-lack-reserves/

You quoted the wrong person. And I quit using Vircurex back when they stopped BTC withdrawals and screwed people over.

It's been around a long time and a lot of reputable people have used it (well, long-time forum users, at least). I just jumped on recently but so far, no issues. That said, never risk more than you can afford.

Hi,I want to register a 64 characters long .com domain, can I register it? I tried at godaddy but it says "This domain is not available for registration".I am sure this name is not registered by anyone but cant figure out why GD doesn't allow it.Can I register it at Steadyturtle?

Each label may contain up to 63 characters. The full domain name may not exceed the length of 253 characters in its textual representation. In the internal binary representation of the DNS the maximum length requires 255 octets of storage, since it also stores the length of the name.

try again with 63?

Huh... TIL. I didn't realize there was a limit to domain name sizes, but most people keep them short anyways since they're easier to type/remember. Especially when mobile. In any case, interesting piece of knowledge, Smiley.
