Why don't you ask Bitmain? There are no soothsayers here at the forum, unlike many people feel to think like.

I have 51 Running. 4 have one bad board. They have run around 3 months.
Sorry to hear This is a good example and closer to the truth. 7.8% failure rate in this case. Isn't it actually 2.6% (4 of 153 boards total)? Your way is correct too, I meant faulty units of total 51 units. So, it is 7.8% failure rate unit wise and 2.6% failure rate hash board wise. I think it is closer to reality to talk about failure rate per unit, as Bitmain wants the whole miner to be send to the repair if it is made after certain date.

so any news on the new upcoming LTC miner from bitman

No news yet and there is no Bitmain-insider here at the forum..

I understand that you are a fan of all things BMT, but what makes you to be an expert on S9? 1) I'm not a "fan". 2) Experience with ~1,000 units? 1% number could be accurate with regards to recent batches of autotuning 13.5Th machines, but initial batches (last summer, not autotuning) had up to 10% (or even a bit higher) board failure rate (within first couple of months) according to multiple sources, which was amply documented here and elsewhere. Perhaps, most machines that you got were purchased during later part of 2016 or in 2017. I have 51 Running. 4 have one bad board. They have run around 3 months. Sorry to hear This is a good example and closer to the truth. 7.8% failure rate in this case.

managed to place an order this morning.
They are legit, they just need to host their site properly.
Just because you successfully placed an order doesn't make the company legit. I still see too many red flags as few others here have also seen, so SCAM ALERT.

Sorry but this area is for Bitcoin hardware only. Go the altcoin section, there is a existing thread already.
There is no need to keep creating new threads..

Has anyone of you guys been through the RMA / Repair Ticket procedure? One of my L3+ hashboards smoked up and Bitmain asked me to send it in by following this guide: https://cnshop.bitmain.com/workOrderGuide.htmI´m sending from Germany, so by the guide I am adviced to ship the hashboard to this adress: Name: ZHAOYU CHEN Company Name: Hong WIN-LINK ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY CO. LIMITED Address: FLAT/RM6 10/F WAH WAN INDUSTRIAL BUILDING 2 KIN FAT LANE TURE MUN NT CORP HONGKONG Now my problem: I have no clue how to read the adress! When shipping by my favourite shipping company DHL, I have to put STREET, FLAT/HOUSE No. an ZIP code. Which is what?? Can anyone help how to put the adress into the required shape? Name: ZHAOYU CHEN Company: Hong WIN-LINK ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY CO. LIMITED Street address: FLAT/RM6 10/F WAH WAN INDUSTRIAL BUILDING 2 KIN FAT LANE TURE MUN NT CORP HONGKONG Zip code: 999077 City: Hong Kong Country: Hong Kong Does this answer your question? Yeah, I hope so! Hopefully DHL will manage to bring my hashboard to the correct guy at the correct adress Thank you man! Remember that you need the DHL tracking number first, then write the repair ticket WITH THAT TRACKING NUMBER, and include enough copies of the repair ticket with the parcel.

Well that's the problem. How is a new person like me supposed to know which is the real BITMAN website? I never even heard of Bitman just till a few weeks ago.
That is why you need to do research before jumping into stores that nobody has never heard of. It doesn't matter if you are a newbie or a veteran, research is always needed to make things sure. Only buy directly from manufacturers by using their verified web sites or if you buy used hardware for example here at the forum, use escrow service. I'm sorry for losses though. And I'll write this here: SCAM ALERT

2.6BTC at the moment equals about 9178 USD. 2.16BTC at the moment equals about 7624 USD. (Bitstamp)
These numbers are unfortunately too high. Doesn't make the few weeks ahead of the D3 worth it.
I have one first batch D3 incoming after Sept. 15.

Will these be able to do multi algo or just X11?
Bitmain has mentioned only X11 algo.

Shipping starting in 2017/08/25 ~ 2017/09 Specifications: HashRate: 17000M(+-5%) Power: 820W (wall power +-5%) Dimensions: 28cm x 18cm(h) x 15cm(w) Weight: 5KG Interface: Lan(100m/1000m) Fan: 2 x 14038 Double ball fan (55DB) Operating temperature : 0℃~40℃ Mining Software: Custom CGminer What’s new in this model(DR-100): DR-100 is the improved model of DRX ASIC X11 Miner. Redesigned structure to bare with the worst transit condition. Also, faster and more energy efficiencies by comparing to DRX. For major customer purchases, please contact tomasen@pinidea.comUnless they all of a sudden have a new chip I think they put an extra zero in the hashrate by accident. The higher density DRx is only 1200Mh. I can't believe they did a little "redesign" and came up with 17000Mh. Also the description sounds suspiciously like this: DR-3 is the improved model of DR-2 ASIC X11 Miner. Redesigned structure to bare with the worst transit condition. Also, faster and more energy efficiencies by comparing to DR-2.
The real difference between the DR-2 and the DR-3 was only overclocking on the chips to achieve a higher hashrate. Well they do have a video on the product page showing the hash rate but it is not rock solid proof though. And 2.6BTC for the price is just too much.

It is not visible at the products page anymore.

Baikal is the only ASIC hardware manufacturer with X13 algorithm compatible hardware.

Seems very reasonable....any opinions.....thanks Ray.... That is the same HP server psu that includes in sidehack's kit. Only 900W with 110/120V voltage..
|
|
|
Yeah the tracking number and shipping company used must be mentioned already in the repair ticket form, so they can process it smoothly.
|
|
|
EVGA 1300W ATX psu is a good choice with 110/120V voltage.
|
|
|
if you can provide 220-240 volt power the gear from sidehack is really good.
Yeah, good point, I forgot this as a Finnish guy. With 120V voltage the HP DPS-1200 is only able to provide 900W power which is not enough for the Avalonminer.

Yeah. I'm moving forward with the buying process at the moment. I will start a new review thread here as soon as I have it and have had a proper look at it. _______ There is now a short introduction video for the BW-L21 Litecoin miner. It is pretty good video with lots of info, but the guy keeps mixing electrical units in wrong places (volts, watts, kilowatts etc.). Video: https://www.facebook.com/BWCOM1/videos/1207481296022406/Top three new information from the video: 1. price is 2500USD including a PSU 2. minimum order quantity is 100 units 3. delivery is after three months you make the order
