interesting.
and perhaps a tad sycophantic so feel free to shoot me down in flames, but this is what i believe.

my reasoning is that for the first time, ever, we have been dealing with a company who have not only turned out the most efficient hardware from their own IP but have also flown in the face of all other h/w manufacturers by striving to assure 100% customer satisfaction.
in this industry, it's unheard of.

I just want to say, if you don't win this Guy, well done for rounding up such a skilled team, and for everything that you do to service our mining requirements. Although you are obviously driven by the profit which keeps you in production, so are we and I wish to applaud you, not only in that excellent customer service, but also in the actual hardware you have produced.

<insert standing ovation here>

No I in TEAM. But Guy certainly is a great representative of the SPTech team. Everyone at SPTech should be given a nod.
742  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive HashCoins Apollo Setup [HD] on: December 03, 2014, 09:13:58 AM
h/w manufacturers seem to be going backwards in terms of efficiency.
Had these specifications actually been shipped out last year by Hashfail they would have been worth having.
IMHO this rig is an entire year late. I hope they don't have masses of them in stock.  Undecided

+1

Certainly most if not all fabricators are zero sum game now.

These units are at the bottom of the pile.
743  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [BLACK FRIDAY SALE] HashCoins - Cryptocurrency Mining Hardware Manufacturer on: December 01, 2014, 02:50:00 PM
Send me an answer to the questions via private message. I will be glad to post them here for everyone. You as a Jr. member can use the private message icon below my name to do that if you are not that familiar with the forum icons.

What is the cost / price, including shipping and peripherals required?
What is the mining potential of the unit at the earliest delivery date?
Will it return you BTC for BTC?
Will it return you $$$ for BTC to $$$?

At this point why is anyone buying units?

Everything available now going to sold as Personal Lottery Machines right just like Dogie to ignore the losses for those buying these units?  (Josh Zerlan used to call them Magic Money Making Machines... wow what progress.)

If you, as a Hero Member, do not know the answers to there questions, please contact us via phone or email for consultation.

Still waiting.

Your picture looks almost fake  Shocked

This company almost looks fake.

Why are they selling "Apollo v3" which is 550 gh/s per chip at 0.9 w/gh

And "Zues v3" which is 900 gh/s per chip at 0.65 w/gh. Seems like BS if you ask me.

Apollo v3 redesigned rev 2.3 to rev 2.4 (650-700Mhz)
Zeus v3 redesigned Yoli. (850-975Mhz)

Please stop trolling us!

Why are you even selling the old boards then? Why not rip the chips out of the old boards and put them in new boards if you will get such massive improvements?

The reason I'm suspicious is because no other company using HF chips can get anywhere close to your specs. Hopefully you can send dogie a zues board to test and prove your amazing claims.

747  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Product Failures / Underperformance. on: November 29, 2014, 08:46:22 AM
But if you look at the products themselves, it is not all bad.  Pretty good actually.

The number of issues with regards to BFL products as posted only in this thread respectfully begs to differ from your personal experience but I would like to hear an assessment that logically explains how the failures and under performance stated is not an indicator of significant quality issues with BFL products.
You ever take probability and statistics Bickski?  If you had, then you'd know that your 'number of issues' is statistically insignificant compared to the number of units produced.  You want "logic", but you refuse to use it yourself.  Look at any of the big chip companies... Intel and AMD both sell CPUs that have part of the chip disabled since they cannot maintain a 100% working chip on 100% of chips produced.  That's why they have grades of chips... but hey, you should already know this, right?

Admittedly, my sample size is small, having only ordered one unit, but here's my experience:
1.  They told me the unit should be delivered by June, but it was actually October.
2.  They told me it would use 100 watts, but it uses 300.
3.  They told me it would mine at 60 Gh/s, but it only does 57.
4.  My unit died after less than a month of use.

Maybe not everyone is experiencing fails number 3 and 4, but fails number 1 and 2 were universal.  BFL is a terrible company.  Why would anyone apologize for them?  Are you on the payroll?

Yes he was definitely on the payroll when you asked that question and he ignored it. He ignored that question countless times in an effort to defraud people as he was sandbagging threads like this.
748  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement - ASIC mining processor by Butterfly Labs on: November 29, 2014, 06:18:20 AM

Your claim that BFL is mining with customer equipment and not sending it out is patently ridiculous.

Umm woopsie eh Josh? Who was lying?
749  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: November 29, 2014, 05:04:15 AM
No black friday deals, bitmain?

spondoolies is offering some amazing cyber monday deals. Naturally all before new tech is announced shortly.

Those amazing deals aren't that much better - if at all - than an S4 with a coupon. Am I missing something here?

I've been running some numbers, one thing I see is that the SP-20 vs. the S4 is an under volt advantage that gains you money at the wall in favor of SP.. I may be wrong, but if they come out with new tech ANY batchs of the S4 won't even come close to ROI.. I bought some of the FIRST S4s to ship, and they are no where close to ROI . Even with the coupon, I can't pull the trigger when my first several S4's are so far under water. It takes me almost 15 days of mining to cover electricity cost alone. Anything after 15 days goes to the under water s4's .. This late in the game on the 28nm tech I can't find a reason to grab more. Anyone else have thoughts on how to make the s4 more profitable ?

Sell now to recoup what you can. Best option. That is what I did with my SP30s.

Congratulations Inaba (Josh?).

Hopefully you can beat that busted machine that is BFL's customer service into shape.

It'd be my suggestion to make use of both of your user accounts.  Your Inaba account where you can continue to logically decimate the idiots and be yourself, and the BFL account to be a spokesman for your new employer.

Good luck, and I hope you're able to change the public opinion that many forum members hold of BFL.

Good luck. How did that work in hindsight eh Dropt?
751  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra AIRE Miner 16nm PreOrder on: November 28, 2014, 09:56:27 AM
Didn't Cointerra miss their specifications on their first ASIC? The 28nm TerraMiner IV was sold as a pre-order for a 2TH/s unit... didn't the actual product perform at 1.6 TH/s?

I heard there was quite a high percentage of failures too: units that wouldn't hash.

Now would be a good time for some TerraMiner IV customers to chime in with their experiences.

Given their terrible track record on a mature process like 28nm, the chances look pretty grim that they will deliver 16nm on spec and on deadline. People pre-ordering this product should be prepared for endless delays and excuses for why the miners are not available yet. Wanting a refund once the product is 3 to 6 months late? Sorry, no refunds. Check out the sales terms:

752  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra AIRE Miner 16nm PreOrder on: November 28, 2014, 09:46:55 AM

Objectivity goes out the window in both these cases, and that's why product evaluations and comparisons should be done by independents like the UK's Which? organisation or JD Power, leaving technical testing to properly qualified, independent experts.

Here, here.

And that is clearly not going to happen in bitcointalk or with asic fabricators given the low volume of product produced.

The only alternative is for people to read the forums and find consumer feedback and assess what is likely to be the best company to deal with. Then again who knows if the next miner out off the production line is a dog or not.

Also when people avoid break even numbers and questions about cost vs return you might want to avoid listening to those people. Given the nature of mining now everything is "lottery-machine" unless you are building it yourself and have the money to build larger farms. If you are taking money to promote a fabricator then the community should rightly look at your commentary with the knowledge your "ratings" are bias based on that fact alone. Be safe out there people.

Don't buy from anyone that has burned the community in the past if you can purchase today from a reputable fabricator. Know that your investment in a machine today, any machine, in small quantities is not going to return you BTC for BTC. If you are buying in $ just buy BTC it is easier and more likely a better long term investment.

CAVEAT EMPTOR!
753  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BitCrane Announces Black Friday Sale on: November 27, 2014, 01:52:25 PM
tomorrow, Spondoolies-Tech are reducing the price of the SP20 to $695 for only a few days in a Cyber-Monday sale. That's 1.7TH/s of the most stable miner on the market, from a company with a proven track record of delivering miners.
All I see on this thread are newbie accounts who have received what seem to be prototypes of the bit-crane hardware.
I'd advise members to do some proper research before sending money here.

So that doesn't have anything to do with the big ass affiliate link on your sig, does it?

And your sig is...

LOL.

This notes for you!

Are there any real numbers from the court documents on RMA's that were handled for the 65nm line?

Edit:

Here's another DOCUMENTED LIE from the Skype chat log:

Quote
[12/14/2013 11:10:50 AM] Jody Drake: We also need to produce and warehouse a number
of each units for RMA over the next year. We have RMAed about 1,000 units so far and
about 20-30 units go out everyday now for replacement.
That's 1,000 units in mid-December 2013. For the math-challenged among you, 1,000 is 2% of 50,000.

20-30 units per (working) day is another 400-600 per month. So likely 2,000-3,000 RMAd units by March/April.

Oh my the lies BFL told in this thread alone. Tsk tsk tsk.
755  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Avalon4 (A3222, 28nm, ~25GHS, ~0.6W/G) sample chips available here: EHash.com on: November 25, 2014, 01:53:48 PM
As always very good guide. Unfortunately as of today these are a bit over priced, delivering around 300GHs at 1020W for 4.5BTC. 180GHs Ants at 360W are only 1.37BTC now.
There will very likely be a price drop on these units, but yes, its mainly the chips that aren't competitive.

What about the Avalon4 same right Dogie?
756  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Avalon4(A3222) 28nm Chips are now on sales @ ehash.com on: November 25, 2014, 11:44:10 AM
Sadly all their products since then have been way overpriced/power hungry compared to the competition.

Time will tell if these new chips and the machines they spawn are worth buying.

RockMiner shop offers Avalon4 Module for 1.335 BTC (480 USD in case BTC=360$). http://shop.rockminer.com/

Sadly as predicted, overpriced.

Antminer S4's
$850 for 2TH so cheaper
PSU Included
Same power useage
Immediate Shipping

Whant wannnnnn.

Is it really a surprise?

Are they dusty already from the burn in?

Technobit has still not delivered a customer 51 boards.

Marto any news when my 25 boards are gonna be shipped

Waiting for 51 boards over here, any news?

Then claims of censorship... tsk tsk tsk.

Hi Marto

When i get my money back and you stop deleting my posts?

Claims are true. SNIP SNIP goes that post. What is Technobit hiding? Disgruntled customers yet again.
758  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] B's Moderated Biased & Opinionated Miner Sellers Trustworthiness Guide on: November 23, 2014, 04:18:38 AM
How the community works to protect consumers: Be careful if you buy miners. Be careful if you buy cloud hashing contracts.

You really need to be careful of reading threads that are intended on providing "consumer information" that are really bought and paid for by fabricators to hide the reality of that mining is really dead for the smaller home users and smaller farms. These posts should show consumers that not everyone here in Bitcointalk Hardware are about pushing more and more product. Some are seriously concerned with the consumer information and protection. Please take these posts seriously.

I am actually considering making a thread that is not BFL related to stuff all the reporting agencies available to help consumers who buy stuff, but don't get it, or don't get it on time.

Then I might ask the Mods to sticky it for future reference. (no discussion allowed)
That would be a great service to the bitcoin community.  I think there are two major dynamic shifts that happened this year, and many who are new to bitcoin may not understand them.

The first is that many (not all, I'm sure) of the hardware producers are in fact self-equipping mining operations.  Their interest in customers, if it ever existed in the first place, is probably viewed today as little more than a source of interest free, off-books, financing.  In the limit, the real too-clever-by-half guys probably even imagine that they can pay those loans back with obsolete equipment they have depreciated from using it in their own mining.

Differentiation of the hardware companies along those lines would be very beneficial, and a source of how those preyed upon can seek redress would be even more important.

The second major dynamic, of course, is that self-mining is rapidly dying in the exponential growth of the hash power / difficulty.  Anyone with a static endowment of hash power in their basement is facing a productive half life measured in months if not weeks.

That wouldn't likely be a theme of what you're talking about, but anyone who read such a thread would, probably, figure out the common denominator:  guys who had to wait for their hardware had no return at all.  Unless totally blinded by greed, the extrapolation to "guys who would have gotten it right away would still have little return" would follow (unless lied to by the vendors in forecasts).

"many (not all, I'm sure) of the hardware producers are in fact self-equipping mining operations"

I would say that all are except perhaps SpondooliesTech and there are many that still hide this fact from consumers all the while mining people's hardware. Especially any of the smaller outfits with high board turnover. Using a smaller customer base to feed off of them more aggressively all the while hiding their mining operations. Typically anyone with significant delays in shipping are obviously pulling a skim on those miners if delays exceed 6-10 weeks the honey pot range for any new board.

759  Other / Off-topic / Re: TOWN HALL (prep) Meeting: Butterfly Labs on: November 22, 2014, 04:21:25 PM
All the BFL haters' arguments boil down to "Blow me more or I hate you." Is that how you treat your wife/girlfriend, too?

A prison record means nothing in this day and age. Most governments have declared open war on basic human rights and have no interest in protecting anyone from anything. With so much money to be made on the prison industry, huge volumes of people are convicted and locked on nothing but the word of a cop and their inability to afford a defense; default guilty. The so-called 'justice system' has become nothing but a false prosecution racket. If you're not rich, you're guilty. Period. I put zero faith in what it does or says. A prison record is not a blemish. It is dangerous to be right when government is wrong. It doesn't make a person dirty or bad. Failure to defy that would surely make you so... Forget that bitcoin exists almost exclusively because of government's evil incursions? There would be no interest in BitCoin if government laws and currency were valid.

Do you know how many class action suits I've gotten settlements for and had no idea I was even getting screwed in the first place? Sears. IBM. AT&T. Sony. Microsoft. Intel. Do you cast doubt on them to deliver their products? They screwed over billions of people!

Anyway....

Does the product work? Have they delivered?

The man takes no BS and I appreciate him for it. He's not a blowhard PR/CS type sucking your **** just because you cried about not getting your **** sucked. I appreciate a man who doesn't spread the burgeoning entitlement attitudes. Whine and scream, talk about your feelings, get free stuff... Just shut up.

Prediction, speculation, or just plain making stuff up... The attitudes and behaviors presented here only solidify my faith in BFL. There is no reason to defend one's self from whining jerks that inflate irrelevant lies. BFL has delivered before. Setbacks with new technologies are not unusual. It happens to every tech company I've heard of.

Pull your heads out of your asses and shut the hell up. You're not getting any free stuff out of it. The only way to be 100% is wait. Until then, it's juat a bunch of pointless words on the internet... How dare you waste my precious bandwidth with this crap!

How's that faith now buddy?
