You don't have to buy BFL ever again. Plenty of options now.

No more late dates for BFL if there are no more customers.

So, how is that FCC certification coming along? Still two weeks?

CE
FCC
ETL

There are absolutely ZERO certifications on these cards from BFL. They have not submitted them for testing at all. Buyer Beware! What they love to do is put the marks on protoboards and then never submit the final boards for testing. Same pattern as with the 65nm.

If you are concerned about safety why not buy from SpondooliesTech they actually put out compliant miners unlike BFL.

Emissions Compliance: FCC / CE and  Safety Certification: CE

All you have to do is look at the scoreboard BFL... you are done. Game Over.

Dogie... you are not allowed to be excited or show any emotion for new spondooliestech information.

Come on gentlemen stop bustin' Dogie's balls for posting this. It is relevant to the whole discussion. It helps the $ to Gh/s price and it pushes the competition to match it. I don't see the down side here. Give the guy a break.

BFL is currently in trouble with laws as I read in an article by cryptocoinnews.Everyone might get those Monarchs soon under the pressure or not at all.

Correct or refunds let us not forget Black Friday customers are owed refunds.

Don't let the shills steer anyone wrong keep spreading the word to avoid BFL and Eclipse Mining Consortium.

Requested my BF refund today. But I'm still stuck with my Aug 17th 65nm conversion order. As much as people want to see their demise, I hope they last long enough to deliver at least one of my requests/orders.   Undecided

No matter if you get it or don't forget report what happened to you at Wood Law. Don't let BFL squirm out of their responsibilities.

If you have paid for Buttery Labs equipment, yet failed to receive your order or failed to receive it by the promised time, please contact their office using the form at this link.
1566  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFL Monarch - Delivery Dates on: May 30, 2014, 01:05:39 AM
lol so they still haven't delivered this? Wasn't it supposed to be like in February delivery lol?

sooo bad to them and the people that trusted him to deliver.

Let me guess no way to make profit now?

It was due in December 2013 and there was no way to make a profit in January 2014 if it was late. No matter the promises and the compensation they are "willing" to provide this design is a loser in so many ways.

Don't forget you have to pay for a few extras like the psu, host computer, fire extinguisher and the small subsidy through burn-in to pay for Josh's and Sonny's McMansions.

This card is a dog no matter how you slice it. If you just give up and buy an S1 you would be better off than waiting many many many months more for something that actually works. Don't walk away from BFL RUN!

Why is BFL losing to the competition?

Code:
Technical update

With a successful tapeout behind us, we can now safely update the SP30 specs.
We're happy to announce that the SP30 will be able to hash at 6 TH/s, with an
efficiency of 0.46 W/GH/s. This is a new industry standard never seen before,
and the lowest price-to-performance ratio in the market!

While people are getting the Monarch... most people will be getting something a lot better. More POWER for LESS.

All the personal attacks against me means for me to work harder and longer at getting this simple message out. Eclipse Mining Consortium and BFL are not good for Bitcoin and as any customer of BFL knows it is just disappointment after disappointment. Return customer rates for BFL are the lowest in the industry for a good reason.
1567  Other / Meta / Re: Those who are Spamming the trust system. Action needs to be taken! on: May 30, 2014, 12:57:34 AM
If this trust system works correctly, it doesn't matter if someone spams or not. Everyone can define their own trust lists here. (maybe similar function as #bitcoin-otc WoT gettrust?)
It would be silly if the forums started to remove some trust ratings because 'it's spam.'

Spam that promotes a company in the trust? Think you have take a closer look at this abuse. Spam of the trust according to Theymos is not allowed. So I guess I will defer to that, unfortunately, the work required to actually police it is the problem.
1568  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: May 29, 2014, 06:46:53 PM
After numerous unanswered emails and PMs, I have little confidence that Chris (Bkkcoins) is going to issue the remaining refunds. I do not believe he set out to steal anyone's money, but that is where we are now.

To those new to the thread, Chris is a Canadian expat living in Thailand, and was the creator of the Klondike K16 design. He sold boards and parts sourced from Thailand, using the site www.klondikedesign.com. Unfortunately the project fell down when Yifu Guo was late in delivering the ASIC first-gen chips. Yifu eventually issued refunds and managed to salvage what little reputation he had left. Regardless, this left many manufacturers using Chris' design in an unfortunate position.

Chris' site, www.klondikedesign.com has been up until early this year, and even took this poor guy's money long after the project had been abandoned.

On 11/20, Chris claimed to be involved in a motorcycle accident, seen here. After his recovery, he was active in the community despite his customers' pleas, emails and private messages to issue refunds. His last post can be seen here, showing a mental capacity that would not prohibit him from this task.

I'd like to start gathering information about who was granted refunds and who is still owed refunds. Personally, he owes me over 8BTC.

If you bought items from www.klondikedesign.com and were refunded (or not) by Chris, please post here.

Yes I agree. At this time  many have waited long enough for Chris to arrange something. Let us hope he does.
1569  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} WHAT THE:!( Butterfly Lads won't deliver the Monarch Till JUNE or JULY:( on: May 29, 2014, 06:45:17 PM
Oh my...

When did they start working on this again? 16 months now? Wow.

And he brings up FCC certs... what about CE? No certs at all on these I guess.

Good luck when these hot messes miners hit your homes... keep a one eye open and check your smoke alarms.

Josh/Inaba is gagged by their attorneys

He hasn't posted anything since April yet has logged on less than a week ago.

They probably don't want the hole to get any deeper when they can't control the conversation.

He has his multiple accounts and has broken cover here already. Feeling desperate to lash out as I am sure he knows his new McMansion as well as Sonny V's palace are both going to get slapped with a lien soon enough. Prison Orange... or rat your partners out... last option.

Just for Josh Z and Sonny V if they are not familiar with what the lien is for

Code:
In law, a lien is a form of security interest granted over an item of
property to secure the payment of a debt or performance of some other obligation.

If you owe there is no window the rule of thumb is PAY the person if you owe them. See what Zefir does in the same situation is that he pays people back. What did I do? I paid people back. What did you do? You lied and didn't pay people back.

The only thing that happens after you play this silly game of ignore the people you rip off is you get more and more and more attention drawn to yourself as you dig a deeper hole eventually you ruin your good name and people stop buying your products.
1573  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFL Monarch - Delivery Dates on: May 29, 2014, 11:44:55 AM
Audit time.
1574  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group buy] Avalon chips Escrow John K / Please check refund list until Sunday on: May 29, 2014, 09:24:59 AM
And he then thinks he has the right to trash others and lie about them. Scary why anyone would do business with this crook. Pay off your debts stop being a crook. Simple solution PAY OFF the people you owe and then this problem goes away. John K will certainly not endorse any other GB you run given this behaviour. Sickening.

The latest from BFL_Josh, BFL forum time "05-28-2014, 06:57 AM":

Quote
I was supposed to have some information I needed to complete the update yesterday, but it didn't happen. I should have it today sometime and I will post an update then. It's 7AM in KC right now, so people are just getting into the office... they should get my info at some point today. I do know that we have the test board running stable at 650 GH/s at the moment, so all is well on that front.

The Imperial will likely need another board rev. I am pushing to start shipping 600 GH/s units now as opposed to waiting for a new board rev. This makes shipping much more complex and we are discussing if that's even possible and if so how to handle it. It looks like we would have a new Imperial class board rev by the end of next week, but I would like to start shipping before then. I will post a more detailed technical explanation in the update. The Imperial class board rev will reduce power usage on standard Monarchs as well, which is one reason to wait. However, I am not in favor of waiting, regardless of power consumption on the 600 GH/s units and would like to start shipping next week if we can get them through manufacturing that quickly, and I don't think it will be a problem. We have the boards, they just need to be populated with components. That is part of the information I am waiting on, as well as a few more details.
Another board revision is necessary to fix a power consumption issue.

A new board means everything needs to be re-tested using that new board. If all the tests pass, then it's ready for manufacture. If any tests fail, another board revision is required to fix the problems.

How long does a full suite of testing take?
How long to design and build a new board revision?

If they are still at the "Prototype testing" stage, shipping won't be happening anytime soon... although I believe it's safe to say they will ship in Two Weeks TM

Wondering if they are mining with unrevised boards? Possible? Have a look the changes in Eclipse hash rates anything jumping out?
1576  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: public record, case 13LA09619 won against BFL on: May 29, 2014, 06:32:03 AM
It would be interesting to hear how this finally played out.

One thing we know for certain. BFL didn't have it overturned. It is still on the books. So much for Josh Z confidence it be easily overturned. Pfft just like the Monarch will ship in December 2013. No problem.
1577  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} Here's a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK at your Monarch! on: May 29, 2014, 03:02:44 AM
It's not really fair to say it's a good idea to preorder from spondoolies regardless of their track record so far.

You're right, the comparison isn't fair. BFL, who is always late, vs. Spondoolies, who has never been late.

My point is that spondoolies has never taken preorders before the SP30. Who knows how many delays they had with their first gen.

I bet they will eventually sell sp30's BTO for the same price as a preorder (maybe less), but without all the risk.

Good evaluation.

However I had to risk it given the prices available 12 Th/s at $0.69USD per Gh/s was too tempting for me to pass up. Given the 1300 Hammer chips the WPC purchased and the support from sales and the STech team on that sale I am pretty confident they will deliver the SP30 on time. I might not like the price in August, that is the risk and gamble I am taking, but I pretty confident now that STech will be on time. And given they have bent over backwards to proactively support users, given discounts and some compensation even, I am sure that given any issues with the SP30 I will be made whole as well any other STech customers. The SP10s could be used to compensate us or have even their hosting could jump in to support me and other SP30 customers. There is coverage here unlike the BFL model.

Now what has BFL provided?

No immediate refunds or compensation.
No units.
No hosting.
Lies.
16 months of development.

Let us be fair we all know that at this point in time there are clear indicators that STech is not going to leave customers hanging. They are building relationships with customers. Have you seen anything remotely like that with BFL? No. Why? I suspect as many others do that BFL is nothing more than a long con and has been since day one. Let us see what discovery provides Wood Law... the stench at BFL goes deep.
1578  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFL Monarch - Delivery Dates on: May 29, 2014, 02:48:23 AM
Difficulty....

10 Billion.

Still hasn't broken his Monarch cherry yet? Poor BCP. I do feel sorry for him picking a loser and sticking with a loser. I bet Black Friday refunds are going to be an epic watershed moment in BFL history when the final die hard BFL support melts away. Can't wait for that to happen. The only skin BCP has in this is a single 300 GH/s card that will make less than 0.4BTC or $200 USD in its lifetime even if you got it today.

Better off buying two S1s for right now and get 360 GH/s. OFF THE SHELF! and if you see a slight rise in BTC prices coming you will breakeven in BTC.

Scary thought that the S1 is better value right now than the Monarch that doesn't exist and will cost more in shipping and parts to get it running than the S1.

1579  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFL Monarch - Delivery Dates on: May 29, 2014, 02:37:44 AM
I am not paid to post

BFL gave you a miner in return for being a staunch defender of their shady tactics. BFL definitely got their money's worth.

Who knows what other "concessions" were agreed to or will be agreed to. Doesn't really matter. If you put BCP on ignore the problem with his lack of ethics goes away nice.
1580  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} Here's a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK at your Monarch! on: May 29, 2014, 02:06:42 AM
When comparing 28nm Rockerbox SP30s vs. 28nm BFL chips who wins then?

Who is shipping that 28nm first if you order today?  Spondoolies Tech.
Who will achieve their power numbers? Spondoolies Tech.
Who makes a cheaper $/gh unit? Spondoolies Tech.
Who has better on time delivery record? Spondoolies Tech.
Who is a more responsive company to question via email? Spondoolies Tech.
Who has a better in house design team? Spondoolies Tech.
Who has fewer lawsuits? Spondoolies Tech.
Who has a higher density unit? Spondoolies Tech.

It's not really fair to say it's a good idea to preorder from spondoolies regardless of their track record so far.

There is a good chance spondoolies next gen is delayed and the fact they can sell tested/competed hardware without delays doesn't demonstrate their ability to go from new chips/hardware to working product without delays.

Just say no to preorders.

Agreed. NO PREORDERS EVER.

However I personally broke that rule. I could get horribly disfigured taking the risk. But if you were to make a choice vs BFL vaporware and ST version the SP30 I am putting my $ where I think it might reasonably pay off. Cheaper, more likely at this time to ship to you. That is the point. We all agree BFL is non starter and by comparison ST might be worth it. Also you can always buy their SP10 IN STOCK if you don't want to the wait for the biggest hash rate lowest power numbered SP30. Either way BFL is a joke.
