Cant seem to get mine to run nicelt past 300mhz the hashrate drops to 5gh then back up to 50gh ish with an average of just 30gh at 350mhz. Using a plugable 7port hub. Maybe i havent tweaked the voltage enough. The pot flat spot is roughly at the 10 o’clock position if you hold it with the heatsink at the top and usb connector at the bottom.

Personally, I use a nice 6" fan I picked up at my local ACE Hardware store, and this fan on Amazon is almost just like mine: http://a.co/d/hD9RkyR. It wasn't the least expensive fan, but you get what you pay for I guess. Occasionally, I also use a 120mm PC case fan that I wired to work with most HP server PSU's (or anything that will accept a 6-pin PCI-e cable connection). That fan moves air with some very serious force at full power, hence the 5A rating, and can be purchased here: http://a.co/d/g9pJzEV.

[...]

Ive got an Iltra kaze 120x38mm fan somewhere and a duct from an old server, ill have to get it hooked up somehow and see how goes. Cheers for the info though, given me some hope of getting them above 275freq and bumping up my lotto chances  Cheesy

What sort of cooling did you use to get them running at that speed and stable?

Im willing to let these go for just shipping costs if anyone is interested?

Check your OC settings in Afterburner. Sometimes the settings dont stick.

Also this is the wrong section for gpu rigs. You want the “Mining-Altcoins” section further down the main forum page.

Added various other cables as I have dismantled my second rig now. Shipping to the US works out best when lots of items are bought and shipped in a single box.

Most likely a problem at Nicehash’s end of the network.

Im using a plugable 7port 60w hub and connected to bitminter which I think supports asic boost. Tried adding the —gekko-newpac-boost flag and had the same issue with it. Starts running fine then decides to decrease hashrate over time. Running without the flag and its doing ok for the past couple of days.

Added HP Common slot power supplies and breakout boards

Sorry if this has been covered before, but just wondering what the minimum hashrate would be to reach dust level? Anyone know?

Cheers.

Not to be difficult, but if there's no time frame listed, almost any hash rate will get you there... eventually.

I started with two 2-Pacs hashing at about 40GH/s total. At that time, the pool was proudly listed as 7PH/s... and it took at least a couple of months to hit Dust Level... I can't be more accurate than that, as I'm at work in the city - and my spreadsheets are at home, where I do forestry and my miners do, umm mining...  Smiley

Now I get it. Just got to accumulate the dust to reach payout level. So doing some rough math ive got a couple of newpacs running 50gh each so about 4months at the current 30PH.

Looks good. Definitely a good idea coating it in sealant, quite a bit of condensation on that already lol

775  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] EVGA 1080ti SC ICX Backplate on: November 20, 2018, 11:57:29 AM
Hi everyone,

I know this is a bit of a long shot but as anyone got a spare original backplate for an EVGA 1080ti SC (Dual Fan) backplate. I dont particularly want a perspex/acrylic one as I want a metal one to still act as a heat dissipater.

Cheers.

Just wondering if your EU servers were working as cgminer freezes at the startup? But the standard stratum works ok.

Sounds like a great project and will be keeping an eye on this thread. Gotta love a bit of extreme overclocking  Grin
778  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcing GekkoScience's new USB stick miner, the aptly-named NewPac on: November 19, 2018, 09:06:51 PM
Not sure if I should post this here but.....

419mining is an excellent company to do business with. Ordered 2x Newpacs and plugable hub shipped to the UK. Not only did they deal with me direct through DM’s but they went above and beyond to ship across the pond even though they didnt initially offer that particular postal service. The gear was well packed and also came with a cgminer printout of the two Newpacs which I thought was a very professional touch. Would highly recommend them to anyone considering buying any gear from them. Superb!! Thanks again.

Mine have lasted over 8months with no problems. Version 10 with two led lights and 6pin/molex/sata connections.  Got spares if anyone needs them as ive switched off one of my rigs.
780  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Where To Sell My Mining Rig on: November 16, 2018, 05:43:02 PM
Best bet would be ebay as you could say cash on collection but the listing would have to be completed through ebay so they get there final value fee. At least thats what they are like here in the UK.

Other than that are there any apps along the same lines as Craigslist? Here we have gumtree and shpock which are just classifieds ads for selling without any fees.
