841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Mercito Gesta (January) on: December 18, 2022, 07:07:55 PM

Maybe there's less risk here but there's no assurance that they will win. Well, for Ryan Garcia, his camp knows how important this fight before a big fight with Tank Davis, so they choose a fighter that could give Garcia a good challenge. Until this fight is over, we cannot be too excited with Garcia's fight on Tank Davis as you know, upset could happen.
Between Ryan's opponent and Tank's opponent, Ryan is facing a risky challenger, Gesta's first fight was in 2003 and he fought for world titles two times already in 2012 and 2018 he is in battle tested and he just comes from a Unanimous decision win against Diaz he should not underestimate the guy style is very different from all the other boxers that Ryan has fought, he can engage and he is a good counter puncher, he will have a very good tune fight in Gesta and talking about upsets it's possible here.

If that is risky then I think we should worry about this fight, however, I see it differently, Ryan Garcia cherry-picked this fight, so he must know how to beat him. Ryan has the power and the speed, but maturity in boxing, not sure about that, but I'm pretty sure his weapon is enough to beat Gesta.

Yeah, for sure he will be the favorite in this fight, maybe 4:1 per betting odds. So his team picks a fighter that they can beat, but will give Ryan sort of test as well because as we have said, Gesta may have some flashes of Davis, lefty and strong puncher.

But maybe Garcia doesn't want to go to this tune up as he mentioned, but he will be confident enough to win or motivated to face Davis right away.

No longer interested with sparring type fight but wanted to go directly against Davis, something that his camps need to settle against Gesta's camps. If he really don't want to fight now then there's nothing that we can do, we will not see these fight to happen as Garcia choose to prepare himself against Davis and will no longer give Gesta a chance to meet him inside the ring,.

I don't know if their decision to cancel the tune-up fight will help Ryan Garcia's situation or not, it would be a good chance for him to prepare against his fight with Davis because this Gesta is also touted to be like Davis too, but less risky because the latter's career is already going down. Nonetheless, there's a particular reason why they didn't push through the tune-up fight.
842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 17, 2022, 06:40:28 PM
Poole and Wiggins and Klay all three will have their hands full, I am not sure if all three are uninjured and available to play to be fair, maybe one of them is injured too. But if they are all healthy, the offense will run through these three and they will have to carry the scoring load.

This is a 30+ point guy we are talking about they are missing, so they will combined need to make 30+ more points together, will take more shots of course, but considering how efficient Curry has been, it is going to be hard to do it at the same amount of shooting as well. Plus, the spacing will not be the same, curry gets defences even before half court, whereas these players won't and that's a difference too.

Warriors to begin with have been underperforming this regular, and now having to go several weeks without Stephen Curry will surely put their whole season in a bit of jeopardy, and also given the fact that they're barely clinging to that 10th position, the last in the play-in tournament.

Warriors would in my opinion have been in better shape or situation if they had kept a couple their role players from last season, I'm sure a healthy  Juan Toscano-Anderson, Nemanja Bjelica and Damion Lee will all come in very handy right and will help reduce the amount of work loads on their starters.

I actually think they will be fine without steph.  Think they will gel as a team and Poole will step up.  Gonna take the Poole over in points props most games.  He is going to get a ton of shots and defenses will focus on klay.

They are not fine for losing Curry for several games we know they need his scoring and presence in the court. They are struggling this season and might this will add up to their burden knowing Curry perform very well so they might missed that performance for several weeks of his absence.

And Pool is their another option which is close to curry maybe he will let this guy handle the scoring or they will let Thompson their number one option on that.

And don't forget that the Warriors this season is somewhat defenseless than what they are last season because they freed some people to make room for some things. Now, without Curry playing for the Warriors will make them much more vulnerable for their future games and defeats as their main contributor is injured. And there's Poole who is not that really consistent while Wiggins is also experiencing the same thing too.

Their next game is scheduled versus the Toronto Raptors, I'm already anticipating what would happen in that specific game.
843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first attempt to play gambling on: December 17, 2022, 06:17:12 PM
We all have a different experience how we started our first bet. Their are people who started bet without having any knowledge concerning it. Their are some people started with a help from a friend to bet and their are some who took their time to learn before they started paying bet.

How was your first start? Did you play blindly or spent some time to learn.?

I have been a sports guy but the idea of using money to bet has always scared me and the stories of how people lose money to gambling addictions always put me in my comfort zone not to trespass, not until the day Nigeria had a Match with Argentina in the 2018  world cup round 3 to e precise, Nigeria needed that match to be won to make it out of the group stage to the knockout stage just like we just concluded the that of last weeks but the then Messi in every Argentina match is always hot and they also needed that match to qualify to the round of 16, I chose that Messi will score and Argentina will qualify and that is how it happens,  he scored in the first 14 minutes. I was pained that we didn't qualify but I felt happy that I was right.
There is no reason to be too afraid of becoming addicted to gambling, the only thing you need to do is to set a budget for your gambling activities and then you respect it and never go above it, and as long as you do this then the chances of becoming addicted to gambling are zero, however if you notice that you are gambling more money than what you have assigned at your budget in a consistent basis then you know that you need to stop as at that point you will be experimenting the first signs of gambling addiction.

Easier said than done considering that it will be your first-time gambling because the reality is not like that, in most cases especially for the beginners, they are the ones who gets easily drawn because they have that urge to gamble more because they are winning or gamble more because they need to get what they've lost. And it's okay to experience that because it's your first time and you'll learn afterwards that what you did wasn't a good move because you went overboard. So, next time, you know what to do already.
844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There Any Crypto Casino With An In-built Mini Crypto Exchange? on: December 16, 2022, 08:34:35 PM
I was also going to mention the table but anyway there's a bunch of casinos that have their own exchange it's just that they rarely get any promotion or visibility.

IMO the reason why they're not that common on most casinos is because there's a risk that it won't be profitable since their rates are always higher compared to regular exchanges and that amount of money is probably better spent on other things like marketing or promotions.
And since creating an in built crypto exchange is not the focus, so casinos will focus instead on how to stay at edge with other casinos by trying to adopt more technology trend games, and gains more bonuses and promotions that will attract a lot of old and new users. Maybe later on, when there are huge extra funds available, casinos would love to venture into a new thing and an in built crypto exchange might work.
845  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter Crypto head and staff resigns on: December 16, 2022, 07:43:26 PM
Whatever be their reasons for leaving, it is worth it. Life is too short to remain in a place where one doesn't have the energy to perform or tolerate a boss or leader who never knew much about the system before acquiring the system.
Musk is just doing business. Perhaps his ideologies and impositions don't sync well with those who had been behind the current success of Twitter. Patience is one virtue the employees who are left standing should exude. Musk has his own ideas that he intends to implement and who ever doesn't agree with him as seen, is always free to sign out, please.
People have their own freedom to choose, and their choices have shown that leaving the company instead will make them live in peace. They are just the same with other regular employees, that when a new head rules the company, there will always be people who are force to leave because they can’t stand the new system patterns, so leaving would be the best resort than staying where they can’t be productive at all.
846  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why everybody is panicking ? Its a game of greed and fear ! on: December 16, 2022, 07:13:03 PM
In trying to put more pressure on the market by constantly monitoring a supposedly long term bitcoin or cryptocurrency investment, one ends up putting pressure on themselves as, the market is and will always remain a collective effort from the whales to make any huge difference.

The market is a highly volatile environment and most times more than  anticipated, it always looks as though your loosing, as though it was set against you and that builds pressure on you as an investor. Pushes you not to invest or sell your crypto portfolio due to phobia of further falls.

Staying away the charts becomes a reliable strategy to be in the market not minding the market condition.
True. You can never expect for the market to be always on the pump as it will always be volatile no matter what. Instead, accept the fact that when we are in a bearish market condition, crypto prices are dumping and so the best thing to do is hold them for long until we see them recovering again. Also, do not often monitor the market so you won’t feel pressured and end up panicking. For now, bitcoin accumulation would be the best resort.
847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you still win with free spins? on: December 16, 2022, 09:32:30 AM
~When it comes to bonuses and promotions then expect that house would be always at advantage.
They cant just be offering on something that will really be costing them money but rather they would be finding ways on luring in players to make money.

The advantage of the house is over all the players on the site combined. All those players will certainly lose from 1% to 10% of their money to the house. But 90%+(and usually it's more than 95%) will be returned to players in the form of wins and bonuses, and it is absolutely not necessary that everyone who's winning or getting bonuses will eventually lose it to the house.
Well, if you chose to bet more thinking that you could win additional profits, most likely all your gained profits will eventually lose and goes back to the house. I guess that’s another strategy from the house that they will give you chances to win profits at first and when you bite that chance, then they will start getting back slowly the money you have won.
848  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bear market - previous experience / advice? on: December 15, 2022, 10:20:24 PM
You're doing good by dollar cost averaging — but the better question is, what are you actually buying? Make sure you're actually buying coins/tokens that you're actually confident(with ample independent research and all that) in, and not some YouTuber pump and dump stuff.
Definitely not to rely on those YouTubers who didn’t even know if the projects they promote are worthy or not. So just DYOR so you will know what coins that have great potentials to invest, and do DCA because that will make you ahead of others in times of reaping. Also, if you can accumulate more bitcoin than other coins, that would be great because you’re up to the best coin in the market that will eventually give you bigger amount of profits.
849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What New And Other Casinos Should Do To Get To The Top And Edge Top Casinos on: December 15, 2022, 09:40:21 PM
The Cryptocurrency casino is a multi-billion dollar industry and those who are already on top are spending more to stay on top because being on top means you enjoy the trust of the gambling community, you are preferred over the other casinos and you can double and triple your profit when there are special events like the World Cup

What new casinos or other casinos must do to land on the top 5 casinos in the industry, spend a lot for marketing, get a celebrity as the Casino's Ambassador, and address all concerns and issues what are the other factors they need to do for a new casino to catapult itself on the top.
If they can perform the best in all their services, I guess that will eventually make the users devote their time and stick to these casinos. They just need to focus on their jobs and maintain their excellent services towards their customers. And when it comes to their business, they should always follow and improve their plans to stay competitive and become ahead of other casinos. There’s no need to create a lot of techniques actually, they just need to give to their users on what they deserved and what they have been expecting to receive.
850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tipping during live slot, or casino games. on: December 14, 2022, 09:24:14 PM

How much do you tip a slot machine attendant?
For those who visit and still enjoy the services of these live casino operators, am curious as to know how you tip the attenders. Do you tip only when you are winning and how much is too much tip to give? Also, I do not think online casinos even have this option, but if there is, can you share?

In most parts of US, any payout of more than $1,200 is paid in person by the slot floor person. The tipping here starts with a minimum amount of $20 and can be up between 3-10 percent of the jackpot reward. It however, depends on the discretion of the customer.

Do you think it is necessary to give tips or it is just a tradition that is required?

Personally, I don’t see giving tips a necessary thing to do, but if you are grateful with your gained profits, then it’s not bad after all to share some tips to the attendants. It’s more on a free choice really. And I mostly do it everytime I won a significant amount and definitely not in a moments where I am into much losing. Of course, it’s obvious that I can’t spare any tip when I’m on the losing end.
851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 13, 2022, 07:22:00 PM
But this one is a different fight. This was all for fun and for charity. We can understand Manny if he's not that relaxed. This is his first exhibition match I think.
Well, if you will research the meaning of "exhibition match" it is all about to entertain the audience and promote the sports (boxing).

Now, for a fighter like Manny a knockdown, or KO/TKO in a match is well entertaining match than to use up all the remaining rounds, it might be a short fight since it was stopped after KO/TKO. But again it is well-entertained and its the true essence of boxing (win from KO or TKO). For those boxing fans in the stadium, streaming online watching the match, it's an expectation for a fighter like Manny. I won't buy if there's no knockdown or KO in a match while this legend is there in the ring, unless he's matched to a pro boxer with his caliber.

Well, if you will watch the fight, you will know that it was a 6-round fight. It didn't end short. It wasn't stopped by the referee because DK Yoo was knocked out. The whole fight ended up to the last round and the final bell. There were no remaining rounds anymore. The whole fight time was consumed. Manny didn't win by KO or TKO. He won via unanimous decision.

Boxing itself is entertainment already. But boxing for charity is a different kind of entertainment. Of course a KO or TKO could be expected but much lesser compared to a professional fight. You are not there competing for a belt or a professional record. Manny is not even there against a boxer of his level.

It lasted for a whole 6 rounds because DK Yoo got some help because if not, DK Yoo would've been already defeated by KO because he was knocked down twice but the referee seems not buying any of that. Anyway, that's just an exhibition fight and there's no use if the fight will be finished much earlier than what is expected.

By the way, I'm now confused about exhibition these fights and its rules because there are certainly judges and Manny Pacquiao was hailed victorious by a way of unanimous decision. What I knew first was that there would be no judges in exhibition bouts because there will be no winner at the end of the bout, but what happened recently was the exact opposite of it.
852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 13, 2022, 06:43:05 PM
And with this Teo Lopez win, he will be the 2nd mandatory fighter and will probably waiting for the winner of Prograis vs Ramirez. This is a new territory for Lopez and there is no going back and it will be harder for him moving forward. Yes, he won but it seems that he was exposed by Martin as well. But for sure he will be respected if he can beat any of the belt champion right now. But as per Martin, Lopez might find it difficult against Prograis because Regis is a harder puncher. But we will see, let's wait for the result of Prograis vs Ramirez first or even Taylor vs Catterall rematch in this division.

Prograis is a nightmare match up for anyone at 140 lbs, although he lost to Josh Taylor, it was a very close and hard fought match, others score it a draw (including myself). So I don't think Lopez could win against the top dog in this division. Maybe he will have a difficult time against Catterall if they fought.

And then he became the mandatory, and should be waiting for the winner of the Prograis vs. Ramirez. And if there's no boxing politics between, then this fight could be made, either winner though will be a very exciting match up for Lopez.

Either Prograis or Ramirez, it will be a tough fight for Lopez. I know it's still premature to have my take but I think Prograis will prevail in this fight than the latter because he's more technical and do have a good IQ in the ring. I know both of them fell short when they fought against Taylor but Prograis-Taylor fight was quite close rather than it was with Ramirez.

Anyway, back on Teo Lopez. He should start improving soon because Sandor Martin gave the top dogs some hint how to engage his weakness. It will be tough for sure but he need to endure it if he still wanted to be named as one of the champions in super lightweight division.
853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: December 13, 2022, 03:03:17 PM
And that's it, Inoue is the first Japanese boxer to be crowned the unified champion of the bantamweight division via knocking out Paul Butler in the eleventh round. Man, what a punishment there that Butler has absorbed.

To those who expected an early knockout, you may be disappointed but kudos to Paul Butler who have withstood the onslaught from the very first round of the fight. As I've said above Inoue might be having a hard knocking out Butler as the latter will be fighting scared, he will be inside the ring just to survive.

My bet ^^ is not settled yet but this is a win.

Congrats mate!

I didn't bet in this fight because the odds weren't that good for me but I watched their fight. Butler's situation is really hard to watch, so pitiful seeing him becoming a human punching bag to the Japanese monster, even Inoue himself smiled at that fact. The man suffered 11 rounds and almost had the fight to the judge's hands, fortunately, his defense is getting weaker as rounds goes by.

Didn't believed that Butler will actually play on defense during the whole fight (even though I'm saying at the back of my head the Butler will play survival tactics), this is an undisputed fight so I did expect that he will at least put up a good fight for his fans even though he knew that he won't be getting out the ring as the winner.
854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 13, 2022, 02:29:30 PM
Been on a good run lately and think there are some favorable spreads out there tonight.  Couple home games I like so far

Knicks -2 at home.  Yep sac is good but west coast trip is tough and knicks are gelling on the defensive side.

I will go on the opposite side mate, I will be the Sacramento Kings against your Knicks, this will be a big test for them on the road against a tough East team, so ML @2.20 will be a big risk but I will take it.

Bucks vs Houston - I'm taking the Bucks to win -9.5 at the road against the young Rockets team.

Bucks losing to the Houston Rockets is definitely the upset of the day, losing Khris Middleton to injury just barely after 6 minutes must have had its effect on the team mentally, but I still didn't expect the Bucks simply without Middleton to not be able to get a win over the Houston Rockets, but truth be told the Rockets actually deserved their for the incredible job they did to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo at bay for his joint season-lowest number points in a game, and that means the chances to closer to within one win to match the Boston Celtics record of 21-6 best in the league.

Did not watch the game but Middleton just got back from injury, and he was basically not in the rotation when the bucks were winning before, losing him in this game should not matter to the bucks. They have a good rotation even without Middleton. Maybe, it was just mental, and they could easily bounce back to it in the next game. Also, they are already undermanned and losing Khris made them just 9 players in the rotation. Giannis just got 16 points in 37 minutes in the game. I also lost in that game, so it was a disappointment to me too.

Nobody saw it coming that the Bucks will be defeated by the weakest team in the West, they still had the control on the 1st half but when the 2nd half began, they slowly lost the lead and haven't prevented the Rocket's rally. Even Giannis haven't scored decent in his 30+ minutes on the court.

Khris Middleton's ankle injury is classified minor but they haven't disclose any details as of now if when can he play again. By the looks of it, he won't be that away for a while because it's just minor and the Bucks can still manage while the season have just began.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 13, 2022, 08:14:25 AM
Joel Embiid scored 53 points and grabbed 12 rebounds against Hornets, which is an excellent result and he has a very good overall record, averaging 38 points in the last 10 games. Against Utah, this season he also scored 59 points, Philadelphia won that game 105-98, and Joel scored more than half of all points. He said after the game with Hornets, that the ball itself found me, but it is clear that the players try to play with him if he has a good game.

This game was won by Joel Embiid alone, as he single-handedly gave his team, the Philadelphia 76ers, the victory. Watching the game at times, it felt like he was the only one on the court. In my opinion, he was the one who was really dictating the game. It seems to me that almost every time he was in the right place at the right time, I would agree with this statement. In addition, it is also very true that when his teammates saw that he was absolutely unstoppable, they also helped him by giving him more opportunities & giving him the ball more.

Last year there was a close MVP race between him Jokic and Giannis. One advantage Jokic has is that he remains consistent while Joel went down and got injured and so he didn't win the Award. But if he continues his performance like this and not be injured, I think he has a high chance to win this year no doubt.

He has a good supporting cast as well, lead by Harden and the Melton and Milton and Tobias Harris.

Gonna be a good Eastern showdown as who will be the team to beat with the Bucks (although they lost) and the Celtics as well.

Currently, Joel Embiid is listed on the 4th KIA MVP race behind Luka Doncic and Jayson Tatum is on the lead from 2nd to 1st. It will be an interesting race as long as the named ballers won't get any serious injury this season. Embiid is back again and looking forward to get the award that he haven't got last season because of the said injury that cost him that award.
856  Economy / Economics / Re: Use your money wisely. Invest or Deposit ? on: December 12, 2022, 10:54:55 PM
Now you have $100,000 in your account, pure savings, and you don't need this amount of money to cover your daily expenses. Obviously it's good/free money to use at will. Let's say if you deposit the money into a bank and the annual interst rate is 3%, you will get a steady interest income year by year. If you use this money to buy Bitcoin, let's say the BTC drops to $17,000, you'll buy less than 6 Bitcoins. In the long run, what would you do with this money ? And why ?
I prefer to invest it instead but I won’t go all in investing. Bitcoin can be seen as crypto’s highest potentials but putting all your savings in it might bring a lot of risks. Invest only an amount you can afford to lose. Also, never leave your bank account empty, there should be at least enough funds to cater for your wellness and being as health will always be our top concern than money making.
857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: December 11, 2022, 08:19:24 PM
So the other betting option are comes up.

I'm surprised with the winning method odds for Inoue via KO since it's really small, there's no way anyone want to bet that. The winner & round range seems to be more interesting, based on the odds many people expect Inoue will beat Butler in the early round since the odds is only 1.48x. It's worth if you want to bet with huge amount, but I will take a risk to bet Inoue & 4-6 because I think Butler will have a preparation to survive against Inoue, although it won't last long.

Wonderful options but what do others mostly take here?

As expected, Inoue winning in rounds 1 to 3 does have low odds because the chances that Inoue will really win in those rounds are high.

Maybe a good one betting on Inoue winning Round 4-6.

No way this fight will reach in Decision in Favor of Inoue.

Seeing the odds listed by the sports bookies reminds me again what's the real score between these boxers and Butler's chance is very slim towards the Japanese monster, even Inoue to win by a decision is almost impossible to think and seeing Butler to win by a decision is really mouthwatering but again, impossible.

My take about this is Naoya Inoue to win 4-6 round, odds might not that big that I really do think that it is the nearest scenario of their fight tomorrow. The 7-9 to might not be possible because it's already too far and Inoue already figure out a way before those rounds come by.
858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 11, 2022, 07:24:10 PM
We have a few games tomorrow but the most interesting game I saw is the Suns vs Pelicans.

This is a rematch, Suns thought they were disrespected by the Pelicans, so they have to beat the Pelicans in another game, still at the Pelicans homecourt.
The spread now is Pelicans -3 and the last game's result was 117 - 128... Let's start analyzing this game.

My personal thoughts, I think I will still stick with the home team.

Yes, I'm also looking out for that same rematch. I'm sure that the Suns will somehow make things interesting because of what happened on their 1st game but I still think that the Pelicans can still defend and defeat the Suns on their own homecourt.

My bet:
New Orleans Pelicans -4
Los Angeles Lakers -5
Chicago Bulls ML @ 2.30
859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 11, 2022, 06:55:25 PM
The Suns vs Pelicans had an interesting ending. Look it up on Twitter. Zion got the ball and did a 360 windmill dunk on a fast break after the win was already secured. This made the Suns pretty angry and nearly started a brawl. I think the Suns are a little full of themselves all the sudden. Devon Booker and Chris Paul are a couple of the biggest prima donnas in the NBA now. I don’t like it…

Dunk away Zion! Nobody in the NBA can do shit to you. Smiley

One of those unwritten Bush league rules.  All of the drama is just jockeying for the next time they play.  No one likes getting smashed in the face.

It's always funny to see how the losing team reacts to moments like that. Of course, Zion's dunk could be seen as disrespectful to the opponent, and it clearly hurt the ego of the Suns' players. However, I think any losing team shows its unprofessionalism by making ridiculous altercations because of it. At moments like this, they look more like kids on the playground rather than NBA players.

They forgot that they still need to entertain their audience and it's really acceptable considering that it was the New Orleans Pelican's homecourt and most of the audiences are their own fans. I don't know why are they so riled up because Zion dunked it in the remaining seconds and viewed that act as a disrespect to the Suns, truth is, it's the Suns ego are the ones who got hurt.

They will be having their rematch in less than 2 hours from now and the Pelicans are still hosting the game. It will be an interesting game for sure and we'll see what will be the Suns response.
860  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My advice If you are here to make money on: December 09, 2022, 09:09:11 PM
OP, you have given all the advice that should NOT be done by plebs like us, ESPECIALLY during where and how the market currently is. NOW, it's time to save as much as we can and accumulate. There might be another crash, large or small, but the next months whether the crash happens, or doesn't happen, WILL be the time for ACCUMULATION = Buy and HODL. Tell me during 2025 if I'm wrong or not. Cool
