901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 20, 2022, 05:12:04 PM
@Japinat, I like the Suns but I will stay away with the Warriors, they have not convince me yet, I think -10 is too much to cover on the road considering they are still winless until now. Rockets are only 2-8 of their last 10 games but at least they had won 1 game at home, which means we might see an upset again.

Same. It's not that I'm doubting the Warriors to win against the Rockets but the spread is too high considering that the Warriors still have problems these days that they need to work out first before they can be destroying the teams on their way. Still best thing to avoid betting for the Warriors for now because they are still unpredictable, only Curry is doing the job.

Charlotte Hornets vs Washing Wizards -5.5 ; Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers -10
902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: November 20, 2022, 04:50:18 PM
@Yaunfitda. Agreed. They might not be the champions and the kings of their weight divisions, however, they have the biggest names. This is very much similar to Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz in the UFC, I reckon. It can also be argued that this fight might be as big or bigger than Spence vs. Crawford in excitement and expectation for the fans.

Yeah, they might not be champions but this is what hard core fans of this sweet science is longing for as well as the ordinary fans, they want to see toe to toe actions which for me this fight if pushes through could deliver the actions. I reckon that this is an even match, though Davis is the experienced fighter but Garcia has the size advantage that if used well could make life hard for Davis.

I just hope though that this would push through this time and not just hype on social media and end up like the Spence vs Crawford negotiation.

True, no belts, at least the regular one and yet this is one of the most anticipated fight, everyone is waiting for this, just like when we are all excited by the Spence vs Crawford fight. And I do agree that this is a 50:50 fight in my book, as Tank and Ryan possesses power in this division, the fight is going to be made in a catchweight of 136 lbs. As Ryan said he can't make it to 135 lbs no more and if I'm not mistaken he fought Tagoe at a catchweight at well. While Garcia fought at 135 lbs against Rolly Romero, he has a experience fighting at 140 lbs against Barrios.

Meaning, this might be Ryan Garcia's last fight in lightweight division because he cannot be fighting always on a catchweight until he will reach Devin Haney. One last dance just to fight Gervonta Davis, and if Ryan Garcia will win, he will eventually vacate that regular belt because as time go by he cannot achieve the weight needed in lightweight anymore. But that is still a challenge because Davis might not have the size but he have the ring IQ because of his experience he attained throughout the years, still a very interesting fight.

DK Yoo has a bold prediction ahead of his exhibition fight with Manny Pacquiao in December. The Korean believes that he will ‘win with the jab’ against the experienced Filipino southpaw.
Source

This had me laughing! Grin I know that DK Yoo and Manny Pacquiao will do their respective jobs in marketing their future exhibition fight but this self-proclaimed Korean master of almost all martial arts should also know his boundaries and choose the right words because he surely doesn't want to be misinterpreted by Manny Pacquiao himself as that will bring embarrassment to him soon. I mean, seriously? Win with the jab? hehe.
Let’s see if he can really do fast jabs to Pacquiao’s face, or it might be the other way around. Although I must say that the name DK Yoo is not really familiar to me, but I guess his premonition towards his opponent is something that I think a lot will disagree. This “Pambansang Kamao” from the Philippines will surely not allow for that to happen, so DK Yoo should also know his boundaries.

It looks like DK Yoo is so fond of his found new jab skill.  This time it looks like his jab throws are pretty decent unlike in his previous exhibition fight.

Let him celebrate and boast with his new found skill because that won't take too long as Pacquiao will let him realize what the true jab is and the power of it. He is actually funny for confidently boasting about that jab he learned and saying that he will win with a mere jab when he is against the one and only 8-division world champion Manny Pacquiao. No matter how long and hard will he train because he is still few years away before he can be in Pacquiao's level and he is fighting the legendary on his own sport.
904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 20, 2022, 03:14:57 PM
On the other hand Dwight Howard was having fun in a Taiwan Basket League. He did a great job entertaining the crowd. I guess that was a sold out arena, all because of him.
It's just funny how he took more 3s in that game than in his whole career in the NBA. Not a bad thing though, as he is exploring to expand his range.

I was very surprised by the news when I first heard it. Dwight Howard could still find a place in many NBA teams, but I don't understand why no team signed him. In Taiwan, it's like a one man show. He's having fun and entertaining, and he's got a good contract. Normally, although there is an upper limit in the Taiwan League, a special law has been enacted for him and he is provided with a higher salary.
I wonder what will happen to Carmelo Anthony. He may be a good bench player, but for some reason no team is willing to do so. There are also claims that he can go to one of the European leagues. Personally, I would love to continue watching him in the NBA.

Carmelo is not gonna play outside the US.  Him and Dwight are 2 completely different personalities.  And he will be signed, once the NBA injuries start racking up and the season moves along a te that emerges as a contender will reach out.  He isn't built for the entire season anymore so someone will snag him after the all star break.

Nobody can guarantee that if he really won't play outside the US because if that's the case then he should have made a statement already that he won't be signing any teams outside the NBA. So, there is still a chance that he will play overseas if there's no team in the NBA that want to sign him. I think he's just waiting for somebody who will give him signs if he could sign before or after the All-Star week.
905  Economy / Economics / Re: Can our work be turned into a full-time investment? on: November 18, 2022, 07:02:49 PM
Under the current situation, many companies are facing bankruptcy or layoffs at any time, and we do not know what we will face tomorrow.
Do we need to switch our jobs to online jobs or a full-time investment in cryptocurrency? If you were fired by the company, would you still find a job you love as quickly as possible?Or you might choose to relax your mind and look for work again after a while.
Do you have better advice for work?
Entering into a full time investment is not a bad choice, and if you think you have all the perfect skills fit for it and you have a good amount of capital that will be sufficient in order to run your business, then why not? However, if you still lack the requirements to go into full time investment, then maybe we should work hard more by looking for a well compensated job. The reason why we should never do relaxing most of the time as it can steal a lot of opportunities to gain a good income. Be more practical, learn to manage your time in a positive way.
906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: We Feel All The Emotions When We Gamble on: November 18, 2022, 06:24:13 PM
When we gamble we feel all the emotions, like when we feel excited when we are chasing our losses, feeling happy when we won a big amount, feeling depressed when we lose and we feel frustrated when what we expected to happen did not materialize, this is one of the reasons why we cannot stop gambling because we feel all the emotions.

Do you agree that we cannot stop gambling because it completed all our emotions and do you have other feelings when you gamble.
I agree that everytime we gamble, there's always a feeling of that mixed emotions that we suddenly feel especially if we are in the height of our respective bets. But i don't see it reasonable that we can't stop gambling just because of that. I strongly believe that we can easily leave gambling as long as we are determined to do it. Leaving gambling is always a choice, just like staying into gambling and become addicted to it is also our choice.
907  Other / Off-topic / Re: Elon Musk want to buy bitcointalk on: November 18, 2022, 05:54:26 PM
So we not surprise when elon reach into his deep pocket to buy twitter in billion dollar. Because he have unlimited money.

I was imagine when he find this forum that look unique because Satoshi was create this forum like he create bitcoin,
and after he look unique and look philanthropy then he want to buy this forum,

are you guy agree if Elon buy bitcointalk forum?,
that look superior if bitcointalk owned by a richest person like elon.
Bitcointalk is different from twitter, so i don't see Elon wanting to buy bitcointalk because it is no longer worthy for the growth of his own business. And while twitter will be a lot beneficial for his own greed in his business, bitcointalk never share the same goal with twitter. So i really don't think Elon will be interested in buying this forum, and of course the bitcointalk community will never allow for it to happen.
908  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a Quality Post? on: November 17, 2022, 09:50:20 PM
Post that answers a question:
It starts with this how to determine a quality post.  No matter how it's lengthy it is as long as it answered questions.
But usually here that has a signature campaign that follows the required length of the post.

That's good input and nothing else to add but one thing that I suggest is that surely you'll have a quality post.  Never interact with a topic that you don't know because it creates a nonsense reply or it's off-topic.
Regardless if it’s short or lengthy, as long as it answers the question and bring solution to the problem, that will always be considered a quality post. And I think that’s the main purpose of a signature campaign, to create quality and reliable posts that will bring out valuable ideas. Other than that, e everything is considered unvaluable or low quality posts.
909  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's a Great Chance to Buy Bitcoin before 25 December Bitcoin High Jump ^ on: November 17, 2022, 08:46:39 PM
Clearly, times like these are ideal for buying. People get rich by buying cheap and holding, instead of selling out of panic or out of need for liquidity at this time, as many retail investors do.

I don't know if you see it in your crystal ball or if it has something to do with religion, because by your nickname we could think that you are making a prophecy of Moses but applied to Bitcoin,
Bearish season is always the best time for accumulation as you can maximize your purchase even at a not so high amount of capital. So right now is perfect to enter the market and start long term hodling. Though it’s still uncertain if the market value for bitcoin will suddenly surge high in the Christmas season, but if ever it happens, at least we will also be in good profits because we started buying at an early low bitcoin price.
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or wait till the end on: November 16, 2022, 10:20:15 PM
Menh it is no easy to be a gambler. Well that the life
"NO RISK NO GAIN"

recently I placed a bet on different soccer games and I  staked it with about $70 on accumulated odd of 10.36 which came out a total of $725.

After placing my bet I later check back on the games in my account to monitor the success of my predictions and I opened the betslip and I  was given a  cash out of about $389 and the matches remaining was just one game  so I decided not to take the it...i decided to be a  brave gambler and wait for the last game to be concluded and then collect the full money

But the last  game didn't turn out the way I wanted it and I lost that $389

I have faced similar situation before and most times I often collect the cash that comes as a  cash out then the result of the Last match turns out correct and instead of having the whole money I miss out and get a  little chunk of it..

So what would you would advise as a gambler? is it better to collect the cash out or wait for the full cash
If you trust your bet and you know there are bigger chances for it to win, then trust your own instinct. But never expect from it too much as gambling is still a game of chance and luck. However, if you want to lessen the risk of losing, then do cashout when you are already in good profits. After all, even small amount is still considered a profit.
911  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you like commission job or salary base job? on: November 16, 2022, 09:34:58 PM
If I could only chose one then I would go with Salary base job since it would secure my expenses and I wouldn't be pressured on how much I would be earning since it is fixed.
Unlike in commission you don't really know how much you could make in the next cut-off.
But if you have some income other than the commission base job then I think it would be better.
Yes, that's how it goes in commission and salary earning. You'll be relaxed more with salary based job because you know how much you'll be receiving plus the deduction and you don't need to force much of yourself.
But if you're younger and you know that you've got a lot of energy to be a work horse then a commission job is for you. What I know with these people that are in the commission basis, they really like to do sales.
Well, there’s no choice actually as you have to reach your daily quota so you can increase your sales and receive a good amount of salary, unlike salary based job that you will receive fixed amount of salary regardless if your performance is poor or excellent. However, it’s also true that if you are still young and has high spirit, then take the challenge to work in commission job based.

Speaking of the WBC convention,

Quote
As the WBC convention continues to move forward, a slew of bouts was recently ordered. Amongst them, a WBC title eliminator between Stevenson and Isaac Cruz was officially penciled in.

https://www.boxingscene.com/shakur-stevenson-welcomes-isaac-cruz-title-eliminator-i-dont-duck-dodge-anybody--170355d

I think this is a great fight for Shakur if he step up to 135 lbs, Pitbull is no pushover, the pressure and the power, let's see how Shakur will cover that one. He want's to fight Devin Haney but I guess he needs to go in line. I think Loma will have the first crack, but then again the problem with Shakur vs Cruz might be their promotions and network ties. Hopefully the WBC could be their middle main so that this title eliminator will happen next year.
I'm surprised if Shakur want to move to lightweight division, after I read a news on 3 weeks ago if Shakur losses all his belts because he missed the weight against Conceicao, it's make sense. Well Isaac Cruz is a good stepping stone for Shakur before he want to fight Haney, Loma or Tank. Lightweight division is very exciting and bloody since each boxers has capabilities to beat the other boxers.

Maybe the real champion on lightweight division need to fight the top 5 boxers before he need to move to the next weight.

He said before and after the fight with Robson that he is done with the 130 lbs division. Because his body can't take it no more. And so he is calling like Davis, Loma and Haney. And if I'm not mistaken, he was there watching Davis last fight and again said him and Davis will make a great fight.

But if he will get Isaac Cruz as a title eliminator,  it's more than welcome for him. At least he can showcase his talent against a hard hitting boxer like Isaac.

Lightweight is solid right now, lots of good boxer, pretty stack up division.

We already had that doubt because Shakur gave a few hints that 130 lbs is not for him anymore and so it happened in his last weigh-in. Anyway, not a bad opponent for Shakur Stevenson's first fight because Pitbull will get him tested if he does have the skills and talents to defeat the boxers at the top of lightweight division.

And indeed, lightweight division are getting much attention these days than welterweight because the elites are stacked there and so there will be a lot of interesting fights that could happen next year, hopefully that includes Garcia vs Davis and Loma vs Haney.

Those expected or anticipated fights might take place next year. Loma and Haney both won their respective fight and the possibilities
that they will meet inside the ring next year is already been there before they finished their last fight.

Yes, there's a high chance that those fights that I've mentioned will likely happen in the 1st to 2nd quarter next year, 2023. These proposed fights are already hyped enough to say that it will be a sold-out fight even though there's still no information regarding the fight and if it will really take place soon or not.

Fans will be looking forward to see how Loma will try to challenge the current belt holder, a good test for both him and Haney as they
can really entertain the fans with how they handle their opponents.

Lomachenko will be a good test for Haney's technicalities and Haney will be a good test for Lomachenko's unpredictability, it will be a good fight for sure.
913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 14, 2022, 02:49:37 PM

The Lakers desperately need LeBron, but it's obvious that he should fully recover first. Otherwise, he risks aggravating his injury again. So it would be quite expected if he missed the upcoming game against the Nets. Of course, we can't rule out that it might be a close game, although I'm more inclined to think that the Lakers could lose their 6th game in a row.

Actually, the Lakers still have a good game, but they just can't close games. They had a good game against the Kings and only lose by 6 points. Westbrook is performing well with 21 points and 11 assists. They could still beat the Nets if Westbrook, AD, and Walker continues to have good game. They just need to figure out not having that 3rd quarter woes and close games.

It seems you predicted how the game would end mate, the 3 players you've mentioned end up doing great and became the reasons why they defeated the Nets despite being named as an underdog because Lebron James is not playing with them. I like the game earlier and hopefully the Lakers will remember what they did because it's not about who will lead them, it's about teamwork just like earlier and that almost all of them are passing and touching the ball to find the right player to do the attack. What they showed earlier is the exact performance they need, Loonie Walker could be your best shooter if you will find him the right spot.

Highlight of the Day: Westbrook's block on Kevin Durant Cheesy
914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 14, 2022, 01:29:18 PM
I will also bet on the Nets against the Lakers -4.5.

Los Angeles is still in a mess and disarray while the Nets is hot, the noise and drama surrounding their team is already at the backside.

Durant is making MVP numbers in the last couple of games, their defense is much better, and the team's chemistry is improving per game. So it will be a difficult match for the Lakers, as Durant needs to be double team. But he has the ability to find the open man, either shooting outside Joe Harris or going inside the paint like Claxton.

I assume that there are a lot of bettors now who are upset on this bet alone and didn't expect that the Lakers will eventually defeat the Nets. I viewed the in-game odds earlier and the Laker's were tasty but still, I skipped it because I didn't believe that they will win the game. On the Nets side, Durant is still the same, carrying the team and I think the outcome might be different if Seth was there. Davis though, he's a different beast earlier and Walker was hot as well.
915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 14, 2022, 12:58:03 PM
I think otherwise though, I'm seeing Butler really trying to get on Inoue's skin by going toe to toe and see who is going to stand up in the end. I know that this is not supposed to be Butler plan, but seeing how the odds are, there's nothing for him in this fight but to proved that he can go with Inoue and take his shot. If he lost by knock out, then it is what it is. Instead of just trying to defend himself in the first couple of rounds. Inoue will not be tired of chasing him, so he should man enough to face his fears and accept what will be the consequence in the end. And it could throw Inoue off if suddenly Butler will be the aggressive in the beginning.
butler and inoue have a 50:50 chance to win in this fight. but Inoue will fight hard to win at home, when facing Donaire, many doubt Inoue will win but the reality is different. currently, Inoue already holds 3 belts in the bantamweight and has strong ambitions to snatch the WBO belt from butler, hopefully, Inoue doesn't have bad luck in this fight.
50:50 I don't think so inoue already encounter a lot of good, tough fighter and as we all know that in our can't win because of experience or any reason but when the time has come and they face in the ring all we can saw is the monster it means inoue release his monster skills to defeat tougher opponent which I see in this fight that in our can win the match even though he can't knock down but for sure via unanimous decision he will win.

A 50:50 chance is a bit overstatement to Paul Butler because his real chances are not that good and only slim, and I certainly don't think that Butler here can give Inoue a hard time in defeating him as the difference of their strength and power are wide enough to know that Inoue have the higher hand. The bookies won't list Butler with a very tasty odds if he does have a decent chance against Inoue.

Yes, we can't consider this a 50/50 fight. It's not about Inoue, it's about what Paul Butler can offer in this fight. Yes he won against a replacement fighter and become a champion, but I don't think that he has the tools to beat a version of the Monster right now. He needs to have a knock out power, and unfortunately, he doesn't possessed it. So most probably as I have said, he will go likely toe to toe and try to get that one prayer shot that if he caught Inoue, and Naoya wasn't expecting it, then maybe that is the slim chance that is looking for in this fight.

Butler's fate is not yet determined and yes, of course most people and bettors will side on Inoue because it's just too hard to go against him, but Butler himself will be the one who will dictate his own outcome. Surely, he wouldn't win if he will avoid Inoue always and I bet his camp wouldn't recommend that move too. Still the best thing he could do is to face Inoue head-to-head and toe-to-toe.

Warriors are really a big mess this season. They have won only 5 of their 12 games so far. Steph Curry is actually incredible still. They won their last two games and Curry scored 40+ points in both of them. He is giving his best for the team as usual but the team effort doesn't seem to be satisfying for now.

On the other hand this two-game winning streak might be a sign of a recovery maybe. To tell the truth I don't expect Warriors to fail in qualifying for playoffs this season. But if they keep an inconsistent performance then I won't be favouring them for the championship this time. Things are going well for Celtics now too. Maybe they can finish their incomplete job and reach the championship this season who knows.  Grin

They usually start seasons off slow.  They have ballers 1-10 on theor team they will be fine.  Having shooters like they do make it easy for them to not slide in too long of a drought.

I agree even Steve Kerr is not that worried on their current standing, which means they don't have any problems and they might be experimenting or whatsoever and there's no pressure at all because the eliminations is still far. We will know if there will be some major problems in their line-up because it will be in the news, look at them last season, they didn't start hot too.
918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 13, 2022, 04:38:42 PM

2 for 2 for me betting on the underdog Wizards in their last 2 games. So I guess I will still bet on them whoever their next opponent is.

Congratulations friend! The Washington is getting scarier as time goes by, they already managed to upset two heavy teams consecutively and I sure don't think that they are just lucky.

They will be playing again later against the Grizzlies, it will be their 2nd encounter and I think they will get their revenge this time as this will be an easy journey for them because the Grizzlies are vulnerable. Tip-off said that there's a high possibility that Ja Morant and Bane might not play, that said, I'll ride with them with a -1.5 spread @ 1.96 and Jazz ML @ 2.30 vs Sixers.
919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Satoshi Needs to Reveal His Identity ? on: November 08, 2022, 09:32:32 PM
There are so many people in the Bitcoin Talk Forum who have interest to discover the true identity of the Bitcoin and Blockchain inventor. Also there are few who oppose the matter, that Satoshi Nakamoto must not reveal his identity.

I am so much confused regarding matter. So I think, it would be better to arrange a concensus about the identity of the Bitcoin and Blockchain inventor. The members of this forum can vote for themselves and it will be helpful for Satoshi Nakamoto to make a correct discussion.

What is your opinion ?
This will only make things complicated. For me, there’s no reason at all to disclose the personal identity of Satoshi, just leave it uncertain. Besides, it won’t change the system anymore. Bitcoin has already been successful in its more than a decade of existence, so I think the uncertainty of Satoshi has even helped bitcoin to succeed. And FYI, Satoshi will never do this without valid reason, and his reason has made bitcoin of what it is today.

It is logical to see Bivol and Canelo rematch in the light heavyweight division.  It is the division where the contract is agreed upon and possibly the rematch clause also includes the same division contest.
I guess we will hear an update about it soon because Bivol didn't disclose any good information regarding their rematch as he's looking forward for a unification and not a rematch in any opponent he had already defeated. And if ever you guys forgot, Canelo can't fight until next year because of the injury he sustained in his wrist.

Here's an update:
Quote
Canelo Alvarez revealed that he fought Gennadiy Golovkin with an injured left wrist and that he could be out of action until September 2023.

Canelo’s injury could delay his potential rematch with WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol, who defeated him last May.

If Canelo needs a tune-up when he returns to the ring in 2023, his rematch with Bivol will likely be pushed back to 2024.
Source

Quote
It is really exciting to see Beterbiev vs. Bivol so hopefully the politics between the two camps settle down and both agree for a unification fight.
If I remember it correctly, Bob Arum already agreed to a unification fight considering that Artur Beterbiev will successfully defend his title versus Anthony Yarde and as long as it won't be televised under Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing. For that case, Bob can demand because Beterbiev is on the A-side. Let's just hope that there won't be any serious issues so that we will see a unification fight next year.
