921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 07, 2022, 05:04:31 PM
So, this match is just a month and a few days to wait. And this match is already booked in Duelbits and look at high the odds are.
1.02 for Naoya and 11.00 for Butler. Well, just like what the crowd is talking about Naoya who's going to win this match but if you're a gambler and you believe on some lucky punch of Butler, this is going to take a lot of risk if you're going to bet with such amounts.

The odds were already available early but if only the ML odds are out for now, it's not attractive for bettors as no one would bet on Inoue with an odds of 1.02, that was insane, although he will likely win, but would your risk with that 1.02? I guess we should wait for more alternatives.
There will be people to bet especially those who are a die hard fans of Inoue. He is popular enough to have gamblers on his back no matter what. On my end I'd go with betting on Naoya even if I'm not a die hard fan of him, I was just taking advantage of the odds. But to be safe I won't put that nuch money for this fight simply because I am still not aware of their full potential (would watch clips of both fighters a week before the fight so I can conclude which one) but I'd go for now with the crowd favorite. In sports, inspite of the difference between popularity and biases, things could be changed once the bell rings and as long as fighters are still up on their feet. Luck? that would work but in this sport, instincts and talents are more dominant.
Personally, I'm a die-hard fan of Inoue but I will not bet on Inoue because he has 1.02 odds, that's not gonna attract me, imagine, if I will put $1000, I would just win $20, I think that's not gonna satisfy me. So instead, I would just wait for better odds with other betting options, not the ML.

For someone like us who already consider $1,000 a huge amount then we wouldn't bet on that kind of odds for sure but for the other gamblers who can afford much more than that and considering that they're a die hard fan of Naoya Inoue then that's already good for them. But thinking about that odds, it's just too low Cheesy there's no use to risk for that kind of profit even though Inoue is much likely to win, I can't even imagine myself jumping on that kind of odds. I'll also wait for other betting options, maybe we can get lucky to find ourselves a much tasty surprise.
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 07, 2022, 03:49:39 PM
Looks like it's going to be 2-7 after the fourth quarter for the Lakers. Any idea why Pat Bev didn't play?

I remember seeing a post quoting Davis that other NBA teams actually fear them but their standings don't seem to share his opinion. I wonder where he gets all that confidence hehe.

This is funny hehe Grin He might've underestimated the other teams in the league just because they got a two consecutive win, well, he should not get ahead of his own self because there's still a lot of games before the regular season ends and his safety is not that assured at all because his very prone to any injury.

By the way, to answer your question, Patrick Beverly didn't play on the game versus the Cavs because he was added on the health & safety protocol but I heard it's a non-covid illness.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 07, 2022, 03:25:32 PM
The warriors are back at home with 5 losing streak, I guess it will be hard to bet against them, although the spread is -8 but I think they'll have a sweet victory here with a double digit win, so I'm betting on the Warriors. Also I'm eying on the following games.

Dallas vs Brooklyn
Lakers vs Jazz
Cleveland vs Clippers
Boston vs Memphis
Bucks vs Hawks.

Yes, there is a high chance that the Warriors will bounce back on this game and cover the spread especially now that they are playing again on Chase Center. We all know that it's a tough challenge defeating the defending champs in their own homecourt. I'll ride you with that bet as these two teams have already clashed last month and I'm adding Bucks on top of that too, I have a feeling that they'll still continue their winning streak.
924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 07, 2022, 12:48:32 PM
A complete domination by Bivol, this is why I usually say an undefeated boxer with many fights are none if he fight with a champion who've risk his record to obtain belt. Sadly Bivol can't knock out Ramirez, it's either Bivol's power is decrease or Ramirez has a good body.

After this result, it's high likely next fight we will see Bivol fight with Canelo first and then Bivol might taking challenge to fight with Beterbiev.

Compare the two current LHW champion, Beterviev has more power obviously. And it's hard to knockout a fighter like Ramirez who is really huge in this fight, you can see the big difference when they hug each other, probably Ramirez weight around the CW limit and so Bivol punch doesn't have sting, but it has an effect on Ramirez for sure.

And it's the volume punch of Bivol, so hard for Zurdo to cover up when Bivol will throw 3-5 punches. Beterviev will have a fight against Yarde next year and so let's see if he can fulfill his side of the bargain. And hopefully we might see a unification fight in LHW.

No doubt about that at all, Beterbiev won't be holding that impressive record with a 100% success rate on his knockout if he's not powerful enough. Which I bet it will be the biggest challenge for Bivol soon enough if these two current champions in the light-heavyweight division will get their chance to share a ring together.

And about Bivol and Ramirez recent match, I'm quite disappointed about the latter because I expected that he will at least give Bivol a good fight and do what he talked weeks before their fight, but what happened was the opposite because he gassed out early and it was evident that he is not that good enough compared to Bivol.
925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 05, 2022, 06:24:54 PM
So here's the weight in and the final faceoff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiGnIWcCC8Q

It's just a normal faceoff and no one make a drama or trash talking, however based on the gesture and how Ramirez clasped his hands in front is seems like he's scared to face Bivol. Ramirez doesn't looks confidence IMO, so I think it will be an easy fight for Bivol. His eye is full of fire who want to destroy Ramirez.

Yeah, Bivol is full of confidence and this could be a not-so-hard fight for him if he plays it safe and just boxes Ramirez for the unanimous win but like i said, Ramirez is the experienced fighter between the two that he might have some surprises for Bivol when they meet in the ring in the next few hours that is why i'm betting for him to win by decision but not expect too much from this bet as Bivol is too disciplined to follow their game plan.

If that will be the fighting plan of Bivol the chance of winning is still high though it might chance once he seen how Ramirez fought because chances that Ramirez may give him a fight that he didn't expect, remember that this fighter also have clean records and experienced wise Ramirez is also someone who can upset a champion.

It's more about how you anticipate the fight and how you entrust your bet with your chosen fighter. Good luck!

No doubt that Bivol have more chance on winning the fight compared to the challenger, Ramirez, because the current champion has more edge when it comes to ring IQ and fighting a bigger man on the same weight is not that new to Bivol. Let's just say that he already got what it takes to defeat a much more natural boxer in this division than him but Ramirez though, he is not an easy boxer to upset.

But this is a good test for Bivol before he faces Artur Beterbiev who have more impressive records and a 100% KO rate. (Given that Artur here defeats Yarde in his own title defense match)
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 05, 2022, 05:57:34 PM
Defense, they played very poor defense in the second half, they allow a lot of second chance points for the Magic.  They can't get the rebound even in the free throw and then they commit useless foul.

Their offense no doubt is still there with Steph Curry, but something has change regarding their defense this season. I think Steve Kerr knows this and for sure they wanted to snap that losing streak and take a win.

Yeah, I noticed that too. They do not have GPII which is a very good defender coming from the bench. That guy is good in offense and defense. Steve Kerr need to develop someone from this current roster that they can rely on defensively. They already have too much fire power. If they can get someone who can fill up their defensive needs, then we will see them win again.

I agree. That might be really the case on why the Warriors struggled in their recent games, they are now lacking some players who can make their team airtight when it comes to their defensive capabilities. Gary Payton II is good at that, but the Warriors didn't re-sign him, right? Most of the remaining guys on the team are good in offense and not defense, Klay is not reliable to do that job anymore because of what he sustained last time. They really need someone new to get the job done, they can't defend their title if they are so vulnerable.
927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 05, 2022, 05:34:14 PM
Cavs as well is a big surprised this season so I will go with them tonight against the struggling Pistons.

So on top of the East is the Bucks, but it seems that the Cavs are just ride behind. Although there are reports that Garland and Mitchell might be injured, but I think both of the mare going to play so -5.5 for them against the Pistons. Looking also at the Bucks as well, -3.5 is not that bad and maybe Giannis with another monster game.

I'm actually going the other way on the Bucks game.  Timberwolves are getting points at home and they match up well defensively against giannis and crew.  Taking Minnesota here.  Also taking the Warriors getting 11 points.  I can't see them losing in a blow out.  I know it's a 2nd night of a back to back but double digits might be too much here.

Good luck everyone!

Cavs easily covered the handicap against Detroit, 112-88,

Same with Milwaukee, they have a huge win against the Wolves, and again, plenty to spare as it ended 115-102. Jrue Holiday has a monster game same with Giannis. The Wolves are lead by KAT and Anthony Edwards, but only Jaylen Noell score in double figures.

Yup, the Cavaliers kinda overdid their performance today that is why the Detroit Pistons was lost by a 24-point difference. Jarrett Allen's hands are getting hotter every game! But man, the Milwaukee Bucks are different, and they are now 8-0. Giannis made a triple double again and leave KAT and Edwards in awe.

Next game is against the OKC and I'm riding them again while they're still hot from getting win streaks. Bucks -8 @ 1.91 .. GL mates!
928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: November 04, 2022, 05:39:39 PM
Investing in general (not only with bitcoin) should mostly be long term. If you're going to do short term, then you're pretty much trading not investing.

EDIT: you've already made 232 posts in total and somewhat you're still a "newbie in bitcoin"?
There’s a difference with that. And most probably, if you aim for bigger profits not only in crypto but in all sources of investments, you should be ready to invest in it for long term. Although some may still get decent profits in just a short term duration, but it’s rare to happen. Most of the successful  investors have definitely invest and hold for long term, because they have set long term goals from the start that made them unbothered when the price suddenly crash or move sideways.

@danherbias07 Congratulations bro. Your Denver bet won.
Thanks bro, and congratulations to you too.
Yeah, as I have been speculating, and it's good that I have skip the Warriors game, that they have problems getting a win now.
Lucky! I have no doubts the Warriors will win that game but the Magic seems to be always doing the impossible.  Grin
Today, they will play again.
Will we skip it or we bet for the Pelicans as the Warriors are playing back-to-back and journeyed from East to West which means fatigue or an off-night game for most of their players because of travel?
They are the underdogs so it's a good deal for Warriors fans. Yes, I am starting to doubt the Warriors, might as well try the live betting.

I have two bets for now.
Dallas Mavericks vs Toronto Raptors - Mavs -3.5
Indiana Pacers vs Miami Heat - Heat -3.5

Good luck everyone.

Yep, it's really likely that the Warriors might be too tired for their game later versus the NOP and for having a back-to-back road game coast to coast. That said, I'm also skipping their game tomorrow as it's risky and they aren't that doing well lately. In fact they already got a 4 consecutive defeats.

I'll ride you with that Heat bet and I'm adding the Bucks -3.5 vs Timberwolves. Looks like they will get their 8th win streak later and take some advantage while the Wolves aren't synched.
930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 04, 2022, 04:49:39 PM

Well, they seem got a hold of it because they manage to defeat the New Orleans Pelicans earlier today. It was a crazy game but it's undeniable that the Lakers is quite different now and Westbrook already got used to his role as he keeps on laying the table for his teammate to score. Pelicans was shocked as the gaps of their score becomes wider as the first half finished, they managed to chase the Lakers in the 2nd half but Lakers was so determined to put a win today.

While he is getting used to his new role, the Lakers are gaining momentum to make straight wins but the real test will be in their next game vs the Utah Jazz where undeniably one of the best in the west. But the Lakers will gonna do their best and will try everything they can to keep winning every single game from now on. So it's better to assume that they will gonna fight for it and let's just hope no injuries will haunt them sooner since they are now obviously making difference from their last games.

Yes, another acid test for them against the Jazz, when we thought that Utah will be tanking this season, it seems though that the remaining players like Clarkson wanted to show and proved that they can be a good team despite losing Mitchell and Gobert.

So another tough match for the Lakers and it will be interesting game to watch. We don't know how many games that they can pull something like what they did against New Orleans.

Indeed! And somehow, I'm seeing that the Lakers and Jazz do have the same situation because both teams are still on a mission to find the right groove to make their team fiercer and stronger, the difference is that the Jazz somehow got on the process first before the Lakers did. So, this test is not just for Lakers alone but for the Jazz as well.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 03, 2022, 05:29:18 PM
Finally, it's fight week already. We've seen Bivol in Abu Dhabi doing light training and chilling and enjoying before the weigh-in and then the fight night. I think Zurdo is already in Abu Dhabi as well because it's been a few days already and he might need to acclimatize himself for better conditioning. And I am happy to finally see both Eddie Hearn of Matchroom and Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions smiling at each other. Probably there is no more bad blood between these 2 DAZN partners. May the best man win.

For sure Zurdo is already in Dubai because it's just three days away from fight night and he needs to acclimatize himself.

So, someone's zero has got to go this weekend, and based on the odds of my favorite bookies, backers of Zurdo got attractive numbers.

TBH, i'm starting to think to bet on Ramirez because of those tempting odds for him to win either by KO or decision and for me he is also a very live underdog as he is an experienced fighter with a decent KO rate, and if he can crack Bivol's defense with those hard shots then we might be having an upset this weekend.

That is the most interesting part right there because even if we all know that Bivol might have some edges over Ramirez, we are somehow still in doubt thinking at the back of our heads that Zurdo's chance of cracking Bivol is also decent because he is not a novice in this industry and his figures in his record including his KO rates are quite impressive. I'd say, why not? We don't really know who will be holding a belt at the end of the day and knowing that kind of makes me excited to see their fight.
932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 03, 2022, 05:04:31 PM

i can agree that casimero has boxing skills. but when he failed to get a fight with inoue many times, i guess some of his boxing fans got disappointed.

His fans is disappointed on Inoue not him because he was always ready to face Inoue when he was still a champion but Inoue choose to fight Donaire instead of him. Inoue loss his title because of an offense, but if he was still a champ, I doubt Inoue would go for an undisputed fight with him.

You are maybe right but Casimero was not careful enough because made a mistake that cost him his belt and he losses that opportunity to fight Inoue. If Inoue was making an excuse, then he should be happy because of what happen to Casimero, but, if he will move up in weight and will meet Casimero, then we can still see a good fight between the Monster and Quadro Alas.

Judging from Casimero's situation lately, that gives us some hint that his fight with Inoue might not materialize too just like what happened to him against Paul Butler because Quadro Alas himself is already struggling to keep his weight from the desired weight. He's struggling to maintain his weight to be a bantamweight boxer that is why he is now contesting at 122 pounds. Let's just hope that we can still see them dancing soon at 122 because we never know, Inoue might choose Casimero to be his opponent in his debut.

For sure Inoue will rather choose fighting against the division champ instead of choosing Casimero where he might have a tough
job to beat, otherwise, the promoters will offer huge amount.

We can't conclude what fate Casimero may have from this new division but with his skills and IQ he also has decent chance of making
his way to be one of the top contenders for the belt.

One step at a time, just continue winning and everything will be concluded accordingly.

That may be the case and I know that they can't turn down a good money fight but the question is, will Bob Arum let that happen? We all know what kind of promoter he is, and he always puts his boxers in a much comfortable space before giving them war. So, maybe we can see that Inoue will test the water first, maybe not Casimero but there's a high chance that he won't be facing champions on his debut.
933  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Unnecessary Pressure For Merits on: November 02, 2022, 09:55:35 PM
The forum, is just like every other online forum or group, and all one is needed to do is just to discuss and share ideas, ask necessary question, answer questions, help solve a problem and in general be ready to unlearn, learn and relearn.

Always try to give solutions to problems, when people present a topic seeking for solution, as this also fascinates meriting a post.

I think that is more important to the forum, to learn from others, and others will also learn from you. It will be a good interaction learning activity where one could benefit from the others, and vice versa. And earning and saving some merits should only be next important to that. Otherwise, it’s hard to earn merits when you also fail in your role in the forum, that is becoming a better version of you because you are now well equipped with knowledge and skills, and that you can also be a good source for others to learn from you.
934  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A newbie with 100$ on: November 01, 2022, 08:54:34 PM
In this bear market, does 100$ on Ethereum or Bitcoin make any difference? As a newbie who have only 100$ to risk is this even enough? Can this get me anywhere?

It really depends on your perspective. If we’re talking about BTC or ETH, most likely it will be for long term without knowing when it will actually push through. The price movement is uncertain and unpredictable, so you may not know when will it happen and it can go up or down without warning.

If you are in long term hodling, I think that will really create a huge value in the future, but if you are only eager for short term profitability, i guess $100k will not be so valuable after that. So the decision is all yours. Either you go and invest with topmost coins or chose only altcoins because they are way more affordable and can be profitable sometimes, and most of the time are not.

Sorry for your parlay loss @jakelyson.
Zion played so it became difficult for the Clippers to stop his offensive power. Even Zubac underneath the rim is being rammed hard by Zion.
Betting against the Pelicans is a bad idea, actually even without Zion, they are still a dangerous team.
Look at their scoring, it's well spread so that really says a lot about their effective system.

The Pelicans now is not the same team last season, they have improved a lot and I think Zion's return gave them a boost in confidence to play well and bring the team to a win even if it's a high intensity and pace game without their stars. Look at them now, even without Zion and Ingram, they still managed to bully the LA Clippers.

937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 31, 2022, 03:11:26 PM
It's good to see teams that are at the bottom last season like Orlando, Detroit, Sacramento and Houston getting their first win after 4-5 games.
It's also good to see teams that we know that are tanking this season having more than win like OKC who has now 3 and Utah that now has 4.

Seeing the Lakers, the only team right now that still has no win is a pain in the eye and seeing Davis getting injured again and didn't play against the TWolves is a problem for them. Well, looking at their roster alone is enough to say that they can't be a playoff contender and Lebron can't carry the team anymore which is understandable knowing he already is 39 years old. His aim this season is to beat Kareem's scoring record which is achievable.

I might disagree to what @Russlenat said that the Nets are way better than the Lakers. The Nets have way better roster than the Lakers, but they still only have 1 win out of their 6 games and currently they are at the last spot. I mean yes, the Lakers doesn't have a win yet, but it will not stay like that forever because for sure they will get a win. Many are rooting for the Nets to win a title this season because of how good their roster is, and they are the top 3 in the sportsbook in the teams who will be most likely to win the title and yet they are performing like this. It's my opinion only though and for me, the Nets are worse than the Lakers.
It's always expected of Davis to get injured, that's the thing he does, ever since he became a player in NBA he has always been injured, there is a way of his body that just doesn't compute with each other and that causes him to be injured all the time.

It's just not possible for Lakers to fight for a win with this roster, they knew this, they were aware that their team sucked, they realized last year that this team can't really win much, and even with that info they still ended up playing with the same roster for some reason I do not know. I know that it's not that hard, but I believe that trades needs to be done in order for Lakers to get better. They need to get rid of Westbrook for starters, that's the biggest problem.

That said, they should have another reliable big man that will replace AD whenever he's injured or to ease his load a bit per game because they surely know that AD is really prone to such injuries. He is still young but the built of his body is not very suitable in intense games especially if it's a consecutive games like playoffs, Conference Finals and Finals. They have a chance, but they couldn't reach far if one of their reliable players will be injured because LeBron now cannot carry the team anymore.

You can when you won a huge amount
There's a discussion here of a guy who won a huge amount but added that he is quitting gambling is it really possible, anyone here have done quitting after winning a huge amount

You can when you lose a huge amount
This is the most popular reason to quit have you done this only to come back

You can anytime you want
Do you have the power to do it anytime that you want.

You have to when you're wife tells you to
I know a lot of guys who quit gambling for good after their wives tell them to, do you know of someone, or at one time you are one of them.

Let's discuss this and thank you for participating.

I don't think there's an option here that will really fit for me, but considering that these are the only available options then I'd pick the 3rd option. Of course, it is always in our hands how we handle our vices or hobby and honestly, quitting after winning or losing a huge amount? I don't think that is considered as an option for some gamblers as that's not how it really works. Maybe quitting and calling it a day is possible but for good? Obviously not.
939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: October 28, 2022, 04:57:54 PM
is the vote real? that is landslide? voting 19 out of 20 for casimero ? is this how popular this boxer in our days now? well I also voted for him and i love it seeing another Filipino Boxer to take step forward to what Manny Pacquiao had already attain.
but the problem here is that about Casimero having no activities these past months , maybe he needs more exposure and open training for more popularization , this will add confidence for Him to win this fight.

That is for sure, did you expect the opposite thing? Grin kidding!

That is expected because Casimero is more famous than Akaho, I bet this is the first time we've heard Akaho's name in this forum and if you look on Akaho's history and credentials, you'll know that he is more of a local boxer rather than international type. Both of them wanted this fight, Casimero is fighting to redeem his name after all he experienced recently and Akaho is fighting to get the exposure he needed as Casimero will be his key to have a profitable fights in the future.
940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 27, 2022, 05:10:28 PM

This is the first time that I saw this kind of odds in boxing, the figure is almost even on a win by Lomachenco by decision or knockout because i thought that one of them (either KO or decision) must be enticing to the bettors to bet, i mean it should have been 2.xx so that those who like to bet on higher odds will be attracted  Smiley.

Nevertheless, I will still bet on Loma to win by KO as I think this would be some sort of warning to Haney that he is the real deal in this division.

Yes mate, I'm inclined to do the same way too. I'm not here to underestimate this Jamaine Ortiz but I don't think he have the right tools in his belt to defeat Loma and his technicalities, the latter's IQ in the ring is much higher than Ortiz too plus this challenger is not knockout specialist which again gives Loma the higher hand. Almost certain to say that this will be just a tune-up fight before Loma faces Haney.
