So how did this actually happen?

Did you view the car in person or did you just do the transaction blindly after looking at
pictures of it?

and if so, why would you do that? sorry I'm finding it hard to understand how the
transaction went? how were you going to take ownership of the car?

I'm sorry it turned out like this for the OP but it really is a case of buyer beware

@CryptoBuds @vennali

You could argue that Hurkacz in this match was the better all rounder, they were so close
over the 3 sets that it took Hurkacz' superior service to beat Rublev.

I just learned today that Leyla Fernandez won the Hong Kong Open final against
Katerina Siniakova over 3 sets 3-6, 6-4 and 6-4. This is her first tournament win in
over a year and only her 3rd overall.

I havent been following any WTA matches at all lately but I would have liked to
watch this one

Results from yesterdays quarter final matches in the Rugby World Cup...

England v Fiji - that seems to have been an epic match, Fiji fought very hard to come back
from 21-10 at half time to 27-24 with 76 minutes gone but England held them off to win,
TBH it would have been a big upset if Fiji had won but it was close.

France v South Africa - Brilliant Brilliant match! in the last minute the situation for France
was very similar to the one Ireland was in in their QF.

France were in their own 22 and needed a score to win, they managed an attack but
the South African defense was too strong.

Both teams deserved the win!

With France and Ireland out my wager is dead unless Timelords NZ win the title!

I don’t believe anybody who participated in this project had financial gain on their mind, so any funds received via raffle or auction should go to a worthy cause either on or off the forum. But, I also don’t think it should go to a global charity because most of those are extortion campaigns veiled as nobility. What did I hear, that less than 10% of donated funds actually end up where they belong? Another problem Bitcoin fixes   Grin Just my 2 sats.

I like Timelords thinking but its true that a lot of the funds donated to these global
charities go firstly to staff, offices and operations. Very little end up "at the coal face"

... I think right off the top money should be used to fund the series 2 coloring book.

🤔 Brilliant idea, I fully back this suggestion, fantastic idea and just wondering why
I didnt think of it 🥴...

All joking aside I have plans to create a "Book 2" and have the foundations set but
this isnt an official announcement or anything.

What about a FREE raffle among the participants, that way there are no funds involved,
winner gets the book?
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 15, 2023, 10:44:07 PM
As I posted yesterday, if Hurkacz could lift his game once more he could win the title,
and that is what he did. It was a very even match 3-6, 6-3 and then a deciding tie break
to separate the two.

Rublev was devastated at the end and rightly so, he was the favourite and deservedly
so too, he played so well during the tournament, I dont think he dropped a single set
before the final.

Hurkacz was definitely worth that great price of 2.50!

I have slid Roman a message to come check out our beautiful little collectible forum!

Greets Tank

It would be great to see him here actually.

For $30 it would be interesting, its hardly going to be silver though?

Ah just read:

Composition:antique color is Copper-nickel alloy, gold color is brass!!!

Its actually a very nice replica.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 15, 2023, 07:24:12 AM
Yes two great wins by both Hurkacz and Rublev to be in the final.

The odds favour Rublev over Hurkacz, 1.53 v 2.50.

Personally I'm going with Rublev, he is the higher seed and is playing great eventhough
Hurkacz on his day can be brilliant.

On Korda, we see this kind of performance a few times this year where he plays great
in one match and gets beaten 'easier' in the following.

Again Ireland falter at the quarter final stage, cant believe we got beaten. Our whole nation
were in the belief we could get to a semi final with this team which is the best in our history.

Well done to the All Blacks who upset us and were able to win.

Todays quarter finals will be interesting particularly France v South Africa, France need to win.
I'm hoping for them for my wager and also for the hopes a northern hemisphere team wins,
I dont think England are good enough even if they win today.

Argentina wins over Wales!

snip

Thats something I thought was going to happen. I didnt see the match but was
following updates on the radio. With 75 minutes gone it was only 17-19 to Argentina...

::::::::::

was just going to say things currently  we not going well for Ireland and we just touched down
for our first try......

Odds currently...Ireland 1.90 - 2.10 New Zealand

Interesting! I dont remember this competition from last year?

So its an international Rugby League competition among nations in the pacific.

Australia are big favourites 1.04 today against Samoa 10.0 or can do an over/under
bet 45.5 @ 1.85 ...

Papua New Guinea 1.08 - 7.6 Cooke Islands no other odds on this available ...

I think with those ML odds its unlikely there will be upsets, and I cant see any of the womens
matches being listed on ROLLBIT

RUGBY UNION WORLD CUP

2 quarter finals today

Wales v Argentina
Ireland v New Zealand

I'm going to miss the first one as ill be driving almost all day, hopefully I can catch
it on the radio.

The odds have changed slightly from last week on these matches:::

I thought the odds would be closer for the Wales v Argentina match, on ROLLBIT
they are: 1.55 - 2.65, IMO Argentina have a closer chance than the odds predict so I'll
take Argentina too.

Ireland 1.68 v 3.48 New Zealand - Ireland of course for this one.

Wales 1.56 - 2.75 Argentina
Ireland 1.68 - 2.43 New Zealand - Looks like NZ are getting a good bit of backing.
932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 13, 2023, 08:16:01 PM
He now faces Hurkacz in the semi final which is a hard one to predict. I think both players
are kind of on the same level.

This is Korda's first masters semi final! hard to believe!

Odds are: Hurkacz 1.83 - 1.91 Korda

The first semi-final is set. Dimitrov against Rublev. Both won in the quarter-finals with 2 sets each. Rublev is the favourite in this semi-final and he is also the favourite to win this Masters. But there were already been a lot surprises in this tournament and I am curious to see who will win the second semi-final. The odds are very similar and the form of the day will probably decide at the end.

The first semi final is Hurkacz v Korda and is going to be close, very close.

Second semi final is Dimitrov v Rublev. Dimitrov had a bit of a battle in the first set
tie break but won in two sets. Rublev won easily in two sets against Humbert, I
thought that was going to be closer.

Odds tomorrow on the send semi final are:
Dimitrov 2.35 - 1.59 Rublev
I think thats about right, Rublev should win but if Dimitrov can replicate his quarter final
performance he will post a bigger threat to Rublev.
933  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [LIVE] 🌍🌎🌏 Community group participation - Bitcoin Colouring Book - CLOSED on: October 13, 2023, 10:02:57 AM
Its very interesting actually that the original box I used to start the book off on its journey
still remains with it.

Just to make it clear that it was never my intention for the book to land back with me. Its
my project in terms of the idea but its also everyones project who took part.

What happens after MJ finishes the book has yet to be decided.

What value do we put on it?

a. raffle/auction it to the community
b. raffle/auction it among the participants only
c. ?

If raffled/auctioned, where do the proceeds go?

a. divided between the participants
b. donation to the forum
c. donation to charity
d. ?

... Marozsan...

Another player that should be watched closely... is strong performances against big players are a "sign" Wink

Yes, that is right. There were some surprises at this tournament. Marozsan is one of them. He won against Rinderknech, De Minaur and Ruud. But it was not enough against Hurkacz. He still managed to win the first set. But in sets 2 and 3 he had no more chances. Hurkacz is now in the semi-finals, either against Shelton or Korda. For this match (Shelton vs. Korda) there is no favourite, the odds are nearly the same.

That Shelton v Korda match was very close, it went to 3 sets with two tie breaks and
was very difficult in the third set to predict who was going to win. I'm happy for Korda TBH.

He now faces Hurkacz in the semi final which is a hard one to predict. I think both players
are kind of on the same level.

This is Korda's first masters semi final! hard to believe!

Odds are: Hurkacz 1.83 - 1.91 Korda
935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 11, 2023, 07:03:06 PM
I never feel tired of Hodling or waiting, I'm in it for the long haul but having said that I dont
or havent Hodled everything from 2017 when I first started, there are things which
have to be bought and paid for and Bitcoin has helped with some of them...

Which also means if I hadnt been patient and Hodled it would have been tougher to
do the above.

Dont forget we are currently in a "quiet" time in this cycle and things could start getting
a bit more exciting!
936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 11, 2023, 06:26:23 PM
...Sinner...Shelton...

I think Sinner at this point of the season is "tired" and not able to play the same tennis as usual.
He is struggling with injures and with not the perfect shape.
We have seen strong performance but... I don't think he is enough fit to play at "HIGHER" level in each tournament at least now. Probably he should improve physical condition in next years, he has a career ahead.

Shelton by the way is probably the next big player that could arose... This year was pretty disappointing against Djokovic but generally speaking he is able to play strong performances...

... Marozsan...

Another player that should be watched closely... is strong performances against big players are a "sign" Wink

Yes these youngsters eventhough Sinner is a youngster too but a lot of experience are ones
to watch I think. Shelton was very strong.

Sinner has a ticket into the ATP Masters too so he has yet to play that tournament.

Another player of high profile got beaten by a veteran of the game today!

Alcaraz v Dimitrov - Dimitrov did the job in 3 sets today. It was a match I saw and
I think Dimitrov is playing his best Tennis since a long time. He played some
stunning tennis and now faces Jarry.

938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to know about Bitcoin Halving on: October 11, 2023, 08:28:17 AM
The only and easiest explanation needed is:

The current Bitcoin mining reward per block is BTC6.25
After the halving the reward per block is reduced to.... BTC3.125

That block reward will remain until the following halving.

There is no need for analogies or comparisons, if anyone doesnt understand well then there
is a problem.

The article is not about the current block reward or the next block reward, the article explains how Bitcoin increases in the market price when Bitcoin halving happens.  The article cited an example of how the cut in supply increases the Bitcoin price which I highly agree with since the market price is inversely proportional to the supply.  The lesser the supply, the higher the price of an item in the market.  I think it is more on the saturation of the Bitcoin market.

Wouldnt an understanding of what exactly the halving is result in the realisation of
the affect on the price of Bitcoin when the supply is cut in half and demand increases...
without taking into consideration the speculative trading prior to and directly after the event.

The question posed by the person initially states "during the halving". Technically
the halving only lasts ~10 minutes during the mining of the first new block after that
we are in the new block reward territory.

I remember the popular question from the last halving just a few days beforehand and
just directly after the event...

"Is the halving priced in?"

"
