Things have gotten a lot worse for Marcus Morris… Las Vegas casinos are now saying he has passed off bad checks in the amount of over a quarter million dollars. This is a lot more serious than initially believed. Marcus Morris could end up doing some serious time over this. I wonder what his brother has to say.

I don't understand why a basketball player with a multi-million dollar salary gets involved in such absurd situations. This is a psychological illness; we've seen many professional athletes have run-ins with the police or the courthouse lately. I think players' psychological problems are starting to increase.
Now that he's an NBA player at 35, maybe it's time for him to retire. After serving time in prison, he can resume gambling in Las Vegas

Probably he has a lot of debt which his salary is already not enough  to pay it all. His current salary is way lower than his previous salary way back when he is still star player of Knicks.

Considering that he have problem on paying gambling debts that resulted to arrest only shows that he can’t pay it anymore or else this issue will not escalated.

While the news could be false, I would have believed Robinson for Reaves, after all Lakers needed a centre. However, not entirely sure what they are feeling now that they got Ayton. Sure he was once considered great, hell he was picked before Doncic, but at the same time he has never shown himself to be a good player so I am not really seeing the benefit here.

Ayton was signed because they needed a centre, just had Hayes and that wasn't enough, but getting a bad player there doesn't solve your problems, and they may find Ayton to be not great as well. This is not going to be good for Gilbert I think. Such a shame to see how his career spiraled after the gun incident.

The real question is even if that humorous scenario comes true, do you really think they can win championship? Knowing that LeBron is already old, I don't think he can still CURRY a team to a championship, even with Nikola Jokic alongside him. That's the rumor of like 2 or 3 days ago, haha. I don't see why Jokic would have interest in that to be honest. Even if they would win the media would make it Lebrons championship most likely. Also, Jokic doesn't care TOO much about winning the chip cause this would keep him away from his horses until June, hahaha.

extend up to the trade deadline, if Markkanen will request for that trade and Jazz will receive decent offer I also that team will show their interest in taking him, a big man who can be an additional threat both inside and outside of the ring, same with what you said his stats is pretty decent, I use to remember those rumors about GSW trying to acquire him but not sure what happen why it did not materialized.

Yes, it's really hard to imagine Gil doing this kind of things, but we really don't know what it going behind the curtain. Maybe it's their mentality to keep that money flowing as they will need to sustain that lifestyle during this NBA games. I can't forget what is the name of another ex-player, but he said that he can't sustained paying his momma's bill and so he asked the court for a reduce money. And so with it, that is the recurring story of former NBA players who didn't save enough during their career and thought that everything will run forever. But when everything dries up, that's where they think of other ways to make money and that could be the case on Gil on running illegal gambling business.

I hope you verified it first before seconding this post by him. Did you find articles from verified sources already? Do you think that Rob Pelinka is that dumb enough to trade their 3rd option in scoring for some bench player that's also injury-prone? Logic, lol.

Share the link where they said that this trade happened, and look whether it's verified/trusted or not. This is fake news obviously, and the fact that the link that was shared was through Facebook only is also a proof that it's edited. Let's not forget that people nowadays can edit everything, and can just post it online. Don't fall for it.

LeBron may no longer be in the prime of his career, but I still think he's one of the core players on any team he plays for. At the very least, he can adapt his performance and start scoring heavily if the team needs it. The same goes for assists and rebounds.

Average-wise, he's still one of the best, but with that age, his body will cope up to him, and there will be time where his stamina will be at the lowest because of how old he is.

He can be still be helpful with any team that he will be joining no question for that, but I don't see him as a main guy for a team, and that's also why the Lakers already moved on from him and decided not to give him a contract extension after this year. I wonder if his stats last season will be the same this season still. I will not be surprised if Pelinka will trade Le-GM after the trade deadline mid-season. This will be good for the Lakers. He can now become a point guard and use run-and-gun plays if he shapes up and moves faster. Now, my curiosity is the reaction of Nico Harrison. Will there be regrets?

It’s manageable for Luka to this since he is not that fat and huge frame body. He is this same skinny when he is a rookie so this is expected once he is motivated especially that he was traded due to being fat already.

Unlike Zion, He is a natural huge frame which his body needs food in able to maintain that massive body. I think what he needs is a proper diet rather than eating unli burritos and burger.

Regarding DK, I believe Lakers will have a hard time to trade him considering how inconsistent he was on his last games compared to the hype he show during his rookie.

Until now, I’m still wondering if Ayton is already enough for Lakers to boost their defense.

They had other players they were willing to part ways with, I am sure they will try to trade those away first. They didn't want players like Knecth and shake and vanderbilt. These three could be easily traded by them, but they are not making too much money so in exchange of these three, you can't even get one decent player, all three combined doesn't make salary enough to get someone decent.

The trouble is that at Lakers only 2 players make good money, and Rui makes just decent, all others are making pretty low salary, making it very difficult for trading. So for them, it's either free agency or nothing. Even Austin Reaves is making only 14 million, and in this economy, he is worth at least 20+ a year, check out all other players on his level.
