I'm really happy to see Istanbul added to calendar, I really missed this track. I remember people's comments that 2020 season should be cancelled because it's affected by pandemy too much with many races cancelled. But what we have now - 17 races, I think it's great number in current circumstances. And we get boring tracks like Singapore, Monaco or France replaced by Istanbul, Nurburgring or Imola.

IMO, it's one of best tracks that weren't used by F1 in recent years.

Hell yeah. Happy to see we get more and more races and that this can now resemble a proper season, despite Mercedes dominance. The longer the season lasts, bigger are the chances to see some changes, upsets, things going wrong for some teams, coughMercCOugh, changing of the tide. Next race is my favorite track of all time, it will never change. Lovely Spa-Francorchamps, hopefully one year I will manage to organize and go camping there for a full F1 week Also so happy we get Istanbul back, awesome track and it will provide great racing. Would be great if it stays in F1 calendar regularly from now on.

I believe Istanbul one was cancelled because the company behind the racing track didn't wanted to pay 25 million euro for being in there, normally I would understand that some places may want to pay that much so that they could make a profit, however Formula is not that big in Turkey and when the Istanbul one happened you could have seen whole sections empty, not just free seats and all, you could find whole sections of 40-50 seats all empty, so you could buy the cheapest seat available and then go sit wherever you want, only place that was filled was the high end suite type of places.
So, they didn't made any profit, hence why they didn't want to pay that much. Obviously they have it now for this once because of pandemic, but do not get your hopes up about the future, they will probably still not want to pay for something they can't profit in the future when this pandemic schedule ends.

I haven't watch F1 when this track was still in it. It looks very promising and I read a lot of good stories about it. It must be better then those tracks where they can hardly overtake and that we are watching just some cars racing behind each other.

It is sad for Ferrari as they didn't spend a lot of money in the R&D considering that this season is not going to be a big one and they tried to spend not so many resources this season. It would be a hard season for them with this car.

I am very happy to see the legendary track of Imola being back and it has been quite a few years without racing there. In this track besides the sad facts of death of few drivers there are awesome turns for the driver to show their skills and in fact I think this is one of the tracks where driving skills are shown a bit more than in other tracks as this is a really technical track.

That's correct that MotoGP have no tyre change but for what? ~snip~
Previously I read, MotoGP is different from F1, tire replacement in MotoGP is not based on tire fatigue like in F1, but on the basis of wet or dry track, so the motorbike must also be replaced. This is done because the motorbike has different specifications for dry and wet tracks, not just the tires. For dry and wet motorbikes it is also different for dry tracks that use carbon fiber discs, do not use rear lights, the bottom rotation is larger. While the wet motor uses steel discs. using a tail-light, the lower torque must be limited because it is slippery so it needs to be regulated by power. In my opinion, this arrangement was made for safety, so if the track changes then the motorbike must also be replaced according to the circumstances. If it is made like F1 I think it will be difficult and will take a long time.

Yes at MotoGP the have 2 bikes when rainy weather is expected, the driver drive in the box and change the bike, other isn't possible. Because of the brakes, at raining weather carbon disk do not come into the work area of 250 - 800°C. But in the last time the teams works with work with covers, read here but only a German article. https://www.motorsport-total.com/motogp/news/carbon-bremse-im-regen-die-hintergruende-dieses-trends-18032703

New Formula1 week same picture than the last race. Mercedes at front, than Verstappen and Racing Point. https://www.formula1.com/en/f1-live-lite.html#live-leaderboardAfter Racing Point more than 0.5 sec behind. It's Friday but i think tomorrow and Sunday no other results!?

I expect HAM, BOT and VER to be on the podium this weekend in any order if nothing weird happens. For the competition it would be nice to see VER win, but he just don't have the car for that yet.

I think the nr 16 race in Bahrain will use the outer track as pointed in F1 instagram official page and laps will be well below 1 minute considering the layout, they said the F1 page that the race will take place late at night with lights on so I am looking forward to that race. For this weekend race the power of Mercedes engine will make it a boring one to watch but let’s hope I am wrong.

I am also afraid that the alternative layout would help Mercedes a lot. I found a image of the outer Oval lap and will be very boring I guess. Just watched the second training. VER almost 2 seconds faster then last years training. Last year: 1:45.394s Today: 1:43.744s Let's hope they can keep this speed through the whole weekend.

looks good with a few more races this years, but it will not change the Mercedes dominante.
I agree. The only time Mercedes looked weak was when three factors combined: a) very hot weather, b) demanding circuit, c) only softer tyres available. Given that we are now heading out of the European summer, that takes one of those factors out immediately. The only hope for other teams is that the upcoming restriction on engine modes hits Mercedes hard... but you'd still see them winning everything really.

This track of this weekend is very demanding in Belgium and another factor which can limit Mercedes dominance is the fact that the drivers may make errors during this race and here almost any race we have seen the Safety Car happening so there are few options here for other teams to take profit but still can’t fight Mercedes dominance for the rest of the year.

Well, Bahrain outer track doesn"t looks very interesting, though original layout isn't most exciting track on calendar. Just few corners, interesting how many DRS zones there will be. Considering how short this track is, wouldn't be surprised if Mercedes will win by 3-4 laps. There you can watch on board simulation video on this track configuration: https://youtu.be/a22zH6LcXlU
Found interesting comparison between 2019 and 2020 Spa lap times, no need to say anything about Ferrari.

Last qualifying with "Party mod" but it looks like a Q3 without any Ferrari powerd engine. Ferrari so worst this years, chassis and engine.

Wondering what happens without the party mode. Guess it won't be Mercedes only anymore at pole. Today I expected a bigger gap between Mercedes and the others on such big track. I am excited to the race tomorrow.
