Luca Marini is doing well in Moto2, currently leading the 2020 Moto2 standings. He should deserve to go up to MotoGP. I heard other news regarding Luca that he wants to join Avintia's satellite team, Ducati. But Avintia has a contract with Tito Rabat and they will continue that contract.
indeed, there are rumors that Avintia wants to replace Rabat with Marini. However, the team's desire to do so was unavoidable, because Rabat is the son of one of Avintia's sponsors. Maybe they don't want to lose the financial supply from Rabat Jewelry, sp they decided to keep Rabat until the contract expires in 2021. On the other news, there is a possibility that Rossi's team, Sky Racing VR46 reportedly will participate in the MotoGP event in 2022, it could be that Marini will become a rider for the Rossi team. For Marini i think it's a good beginning at Avintia he have a chance to join his brother team in 2022, maybe I don't know about the 46 Team at MotoGP As long as he is still actively driving he will not do a satellite team to himself. And think if things go well next year he will drive another year. Dorna also has to approve a new team and issue the license, so Suzuki will come with a satellite team beforehand i think. ~snip~ So only by the teams with "?" Aprilia, LCR-Honda and Avintia-Ducati and no one knows about Iannone and Dovizioso... For Marini i think it's a good beginning at Avintia Yes, I will wait for official news from Luca Marini, wherever he moves I think it is his start, he has to adapt to the new engine and bike. For the rest of MotoGP, this week's race will take place in France, looking at the track here I think it is a good track for Honda, Ducati and KTM. There are a lot of straight tracks here and I think Yamaha will struggle. Last year's history, Marquez won and Dovizioso finished second. But anything can still happen, I'm just guessing maybe Ducati will get on the podium this week. I hope for Marini Ducati or Aprilia is also good to start in the MotoGP, Aprilia is the only team that is allowed to develop and like KTM can possibly catch up. Yes is a good track for strong engines, but think due to the low temperature everyone will have problems with the tires, the team that can best get a grip on this will be way ahead.

I read the news that Michelin has prepared special tires. They estimate the temperature there around 5-16 Celsius and it could even be a wet race. In addition to a lot of hard braking and slow turns, this will eat up a lot of tires. If I'm not mistaken there are 14 bends with details of 9 left and 5 right, then Michelin has also prepared the type of compound and the wall thickness of the left tire is thicker than the right tire.

Son of Michael Schumacher, Mick Schumacher is making his debut F1 race on Nürburgring track. On the same event Lewis Hamilton is chasing to equal the most formula one match win held by Michael Schumacher. The same happening in the home country of Mick, and after Michael Schumacher very few are into F1 from Germany. Now with the entry of Mick Schumacher once again the popularity of F1 will be kept alive.

I'm very happy for Kimi it looks like he will drive also next year for Alfa Romeo with Mick. Apparently to be announced this weekend. https://www.speedweek.com/formel1/news/166196/Kimi-Raeikkoenen-Mick-Schumacher-bei-Alfa-Romeo-2021.html

I don't know why you don't like competitive teammates, it has given us famous F1 moments, like Prost v Senna at McLaren ! And I don't think Hamilton vs Rosberg was problematic at all, imagine Hamilton vs Bottas or worse instead of Rosberg, we would all be bored to death by now ! I just learned that F1 will move to biofuels as I was just advocating, a good move. RedBull is not optimistic about staying in F1 because of Honda leaving : https://www.grandprix.com/news/red-bull-could-quit-f1-over-engine-situation.htmlromero121 : aren't you forgetting 4 time world champion Vettel, isn't he German ?

I think all fans love this when you have two #1 driver at one team who's can fight about the championship, like Lauda/Prost, Prost/Senna, Alonso/Hamilton, Hamilton/Rosberg but for the team it's not easy to handle. F1 first practice at the Nurburgring has been hit by fog, so there will be no cars running. There is certainly a chance that weather will be a factor for the last few European races of the season, as we head into autumn. It looks like 40% chance of rain at the race this weekend ( https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/u0uw0pgu0#?date=2020-10-11). Whilst rain does add an element of unpredictability to races, it's also true that it really helps to highlight the differences in talent between the various drivers. Hamilton is always good in rain, and you'd expect Verstappen to be right up there as well. Perhaps a bad weekend looming for Bottas?

First Pratice is now cancelled. Too bad for the two newcomes so they can't run their first F1 practice today. Now they have to wait for another race weekend.

@romero121 it’s hard to believe that time has flown so fast, because few years back I used to watch his dad race and now I’ll be watching him race. Also to be honest I started watching this sport because of Schumacher, and I hope that his son can continue his legacy, but I’ll not judge him so soon because he’ll take lots of time to settle in and chase records like his dad did. Perhaps a bad weekend looming for Bottas? @Cnut237 indeed whenever the conditions get tough the real drivers emerge victorious, but I’m hoping that we don’t see the safety car being deployed as they’re risky and have been rightly criticised by the drivers. FP1 and FP2 for Formula1 have been canceled due to the bad weather.
The climate according to some Italian websites should be sunny with a small opportunity for rain, so in the end, it will be a dry GP with a very small chance of light rain.

Such a shame that both practice sessions were cancelled and we didn't get the chance to see Mick Schumacher drive his frist F1 practice session, but can't wait to see him announced as Sauber's driver alongside Kimi for the next season and watch him cope It will be very interesting next season with lots of things to watch and develop. Only good thing about today's cancellation of practice sessions is that teams will have less time to find the perfect setup, meaning more chaotic race.

This honestly depends if Ferrari will try to be more competitive for the next year or saving the money for the revolution of 2022. Of they will not invest in 2021 the cars with the Ferrari's engine will be in the last 6 spots of the grid and there is not so much to see in him if it will his position.

Just the was F1 works when big teams are in question, politics and magic Wait for the spring

Just read something interesting about the practice sessions of Today.
The practice session was deleted not for the wheater itself on the track but because of the regulation, the medical staff must be able to transport a driver from the circuit to the nearest hospital in 20 minutes in case of critical accident. The closes hospital if I'm not wrong is at 50km ish and with the fog in the way the helicopter couldn't take the path if necessary and is impossible for the medical team to use the normal ambulance and transport the patient in 20 minutes using the normal roads.

Yeah, that is normal and happened multiple times already, safety standards are as they are and sometimes this rule prevents the practice or sessions unfortunately. As much as it is stretchable rule as I'm sure helicopter can fly in that weather, as my friend who is the pilot himself said, but in F1 safety is paramount today. They don't want another Jules Bianchi to happen. What I meant is that Balkan helicopter and Balkan pilot can fly in that weather, which does not mean "normal" european pilot can fly in that weather

Does Pirelli have set of winter tyres? Weather will be cold during qualification and race, just 8-9 °C. I can't remember race in such cold weather recently, probably last time it was so cold during Winter tests in Barcelona. Interesting how tyres will work. Trust me, for as long as I watch Formula 1, I can guarantee you that next year will be largely different to this one. Ferrari won't be this bad and things will change a lot. Just the was F1 works when big teams are in question, politics and magic Wait for the spring Personally, I doubt that next season will be largely different than this one. Yes, probably Ferrari will be better than this year, but I doubt that significant changes will happen until 2022. Well, unless something unexpected will happen behind closed doors again . Just read something interesting about the practice sessions of Today.

Now FIA made backup plan, so, race will happen even if weather condition will be same. In case of accident, driver will be carried in ambulance 3km away from track and moved to helicopter.

In this track, we also may see some overtakes in the 1st corner.

After watching P3 and quali it is visible that the track is still "green" and that drivers clearly have 2-3 spots on the track where they can easily make a mistake. I really hope that rain comes too and makes this race as chaotic as possible. Leclerc is showing really good head on those young shoulders, extracting everything from the car that is there at this moment. There will be some flatspots on the tires in the first corner, I can already tell

It is really something to behold when it comes to technological improvements these teams are making but we often forget that Michelin has to do a lot of hard work to prove they are fine as well. Sure teams work very hard to have the best cars and Mercedes actually took to a level where nobody is touches them anymore, I understand that Lewis Hamilton could be the best driver in the world right now and probably in history when he finishes racing, however we should not forget that tires are not tires you see on the road, these are very very special tires and Michelin works hard to make these tires only for these events as well.
I also didn't know that Mick was finally coming to F1 now, I knew he was a decent one in f2 but to be honest there were other better racers in f2 as well, dude deserves an f1 spot but there are some who deserved it more but didn't had the name.

He has made me believe that he is going to be able to get the championship in the end if he continues like that. It is the same as when Rosberg where on Mercedes that he was driving superbly but he couldn't win a championship due to other internal reasons. Let's hope that he is going to keep the P1 till the end of the race.
