Entertaining race, although a bit too many reliability issues.
Before the VSC, Hamilton was 27s in front of Bottas, and making fastest lap after fastest lap. He was always going to win. The race director isn't a Mercedes employee, he doesn't decide security stuff to please Mercedes or Hamilton, otherwise explain the penalties Hamilton got recently ? And Mercedes would probably even have preferred a Bottas win, that could have helped in their contract negotiation with Lewis...
I'm not saying that it was intentional thing, maybe it's just coincidence, but it looked really strange. And Lewis don't need stewards help to win race, he had enough gap to overtake Bottas after his pit stop. I just don't get how Bottas win would help in negotiation with Lewis? Maybe Hamilton will try a other challenge or it is an attempt to position oneself better in contract poker. For a long time ago Raikkönen search a new challenge and switched to rallying, it was a mistake but a New challenge. For Hamilton in my opinion, the last few years after rosberg have not been a real challenge but have to motivate yourself more than that he was challenged.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's not first time when he have doubts about his future in F1. IMO, it'sjust attempt to get better contract conditions or he he just want to focus on racing and become champion officially before signing new contract. But it's true that he didn't had much challenge in F1 since Rosberg retired. And I don't think that Kimi WRC career was mistake. Yes, he didn't achieved anything significant, but as you say, he was just looking for new challenges.

I’m surprised to read that Hamilton says that he wants to stay in F1, but there’s no guarantee whether he’ll stay and race as an F1 driver. In my personal opinion it feels like he’s trying to get a big lucrative deal from Mercedes.
Yeah this is the only thing he wants from this. He wants more money and this thing about more money for his contract is an already months old fact. He has absolutrly no reason to leave the best team with the best car when he has no competition and he can be the one who will beat Schumacher the next year. Makes 0 sense at all.

The thing with F1 is that you're driving the fastest, most exciting racing cars, all around the world. And there is a challenge, look at this week-end, Bottas took pole ! Sure Hamilton might be overall "comfortable" but I doubt F1 can be routine either, and there is always the risk of an accident. Look at Rosberg, he quit on top, not because he didn't like F1 or wouldn't have a competitive car, but because of his family.

Perhaps the trip to the WRC may have cost him a second world title in F1. But nobody know, i'm happy that he come back to the F1. I don't agree with you, fastet possible but exciting no, WRC is for the driver more exiting as F1 but more dangerous also MotoGP i think. Probably he is only interested in the contract poker to get more money.

Many people say that F1 is boring nowadays and they blame Mercedes for that. I don't agree with that. Mercedes has invested so much money in their cars something that other teams didn't do. Just see Ferrari that they didn't spend any money because of the COVID era and their thoughts that the championship is not going to be completed. There will be always interest in this sport and the excitement that is given because of the speed and adrenaline will always exist.

He could take a year long sabbatical or two imo. Imagine winning everything and breaking Schumacher's records... He prolly doesn't feel that he's getting the same high he used to get at F1 anymore. And it's funny... Vettel took a pay cut and signed a contract with Racing Point. Rofl. I think he could get the Merc drive if Hamilton leaves. Verstappen is with RBR til 2023.

Rossi already test yesterday positiv at Covid19, for a start he must make 2 negativ tests until Friday to start at the next Spain GP. Yamaha already named a standby replacement for Rossi, i'm wonder it's not the Yamaha test driver Lorenzo rather the SBK driver Garrett Gerloff https://us.motorsport.com/motogp/news/yamaha-rossi-covid-valencia-gerloff/4903605/"Luckily I still have two more chances to be back on track on Friday or Saturday. I am very sad because I am feeling well, and I can‘t wait to be back aboard my M1 and be reunited with my team.
"I really hope the next PCR test result will be negative, because missing two races was already two too many."

Honestly the more he delays , the more I think Hamilton will retire out of nowhere just like Rosberg did. He will equal Schumi on 7 titles and then leave F1 to pursue his other dreams ( as we know he loves a lot of other sports too ) so I will not be surprised if this happens at the end of the season. Also the fact that he has no real equal in F1 in this times, he has nothing to demonstrate to the fans anymore, just like Khabib who beat everyone and retired undefeated.

He has 30 more millions reasons to not doing it and probably 100 more millions to retire in 3 years beating all the F1 records. I think he only wants a bigger amount of money possible from this situation. He knows he will be staying in history for a long time if he will win the 8th title and he will be remembered as the Mercedes driver, he probably wants more money for the advisement he will do for years and years. Like Schumacher and Ferrari are still remember Today, almost no one cares about the title with Kimi but everyone remembers Schumi.

It seems F1 drivers don't really care about their union, especially the top drivers. Nowadays it's headed by Romain Grosjean, who never got close to such a salary, and is soon out of F1, so I doubt he will fight that hard to up the cap. It's too bad the cap is for the pair of drivers though, it means we will never have two top drivers, two world champions, driving in the same team.

For the fans are the situation perfect when two top driver or champions drive at the best team (like Mercedes), but for the team it's very bad to manage the two drivers, tense situation in the team and probably more power struggles in and outside the box.

In the official F1 page they say as breaking news that Saudi Arabia will have a F1 race in 2021.I think it is the first time that this country will hold such a race. The more races we have in a year the better as we are reaching the end of a strange F1 Championship in 2020.

And they don't even made layout of track, so we don't know what kind oc race to expect. But I imagine it will be as boring as Sochi or Abu Dhabi. Instead of adding classic race track we will have another street circuit. I think that races in Mugello, Portimao, Imola and Nurburgring were interesting, so I will miss these tracks next year. But obviously, money is main factor there.

From these for I think the order from the most interesting is... Mugello Portimao Nurbugring Imola. Imola too me is fun track for drivers but a very boring track to watch, I don't mind if it will be removed, the chance of overtaking is very small.

Yeah, Imola is old-school narrow track with not much place to overtake, but this year race was interesting there. Still, I would prefer these classic tracks over street circuits.
