Hi,

Please help me with my cgminer config below. It does not work in Cgminer. Does anyone know the right configuration to use for stratum?

cgminer -o ipv6.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 -u user -p pass

Thanks.

leave out the "ipv6."?

anyway, looks like stratum mining is back up & working for me here ...

Oh the irony

I wonder if the people at GETWORK or whatever got pissed.

NO WAIT:  I bet its the people who he didn't let use GETWORK.

such a simple fix for them though ....  they are lame if that is the cause

Slush - let's make a vhost for the stratum box and move it around privately.

This sucks!!!  I'm mining solo or I'm mining with Slush.

Lets figure this out.  Let me know how I can help!!!!  I'll put up a box on AWS and give you root if it helps you.

That wouldn't work too well. Once you get 25 bitcoins, which as of right now is worth $1,900, you tell me how willing you are to divide it between a few thousand people. Not everyone is honest...unfortunately.

Slush, if you are wake up (i´m thinking that is sleeping), can you disable x-stratum in getwork server?. I´m triying to getwork mining, but mi miner reads X-stratum header and redirect auto (i can´t disable this behavior).

The attack started on the evening and at 4am I really needed some rest.

Attacker obviously decided that DDoSing 600Ghash/s getwork pool has no sense, so getwork is running, but server cannot scale to Thashes anymore, so recommending people to switch to Getwork would lead to Getwork pool overload in few minutes. I've been scaling it down during recent months, because I wanted to push people to Stratum.

I say we get IP address information on the botnet and execute take-downs of the servers by notifying ISPs that server with IP xx.xx.xx.xx is involved in a DDoS attack, etc.?

How about it, slush, can we have a list of IP addresses from your server logs?

strange.... At the same time slush's pool started getting DDOSed again My pool and some other pools are getting DDOSed again.

It seems that this DDOS on many pools are done by the same botnet operator that is attacking slush.
