Can someone tell me what is paid per block. I can't google it... Is it solo?

... 25 bitcoins per block since block 210000 (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Controlled_supply)

No the method that slush will use during outage. I know that... I would like to know do we solo mine...

(((25BTC+Transaction)-2%)/NumberOfShares)*YouShares)

I think thats right

Now, if you don't trust Slush to have a sane scheme for distributing mined blocks according to your contributions until the pool goes back to normal, just go mine somewhere else for a while. No one will think any less of you. Heck, someone is even entitled to have a wacky theory that Slush is using the pool to mine only for himself, what do I know! Mine on your own then for now! But can we please stop spamming this thread with wild rumours, misconceptions about computer security and questions that could damn well have been answered within the thread if the thread itself wasn't spammed with said rumours and questions (negative reinforcement loop?).

Please go and watch TV, play games, work, have a wee, wank off or whatever and let's see when the only person that can bring clarity to all this (Slush) is done with priority number one (getting the pool infrastructure/homepage in order) and can motivate spending time on calming down a bunch a mining loons (myself included).

I read the post you qouted. I wasn't worried until I read this

3. mining is still working and we will be paid by slush per block instad of PPS

And since I didn't find anything else on that I was starting to wonder... I know we are not PPS but I was unsure what method slush will use and since database was down it look like something that is a possibility... Since I'm not on IRC all the time I thought that came from there...

Nope. It uses Slush method but for that he needs shares. And as far as I know they are/were not recorded... And someone now probably wrongly told as that this is now pay per block... And as far as I read the wording(if you look at PPS metod) that would be Solo mining...

About my "Chinese whispers" point made early, Q.E.D.? And you trust "Mr. 15-Posts" enough to go bananas over reading three letters "PPS"? Slush also made a point that he wasn't on IRC and for good reasons. Now, I will just go and do one or more of the things on that list of suggestions I made in my previous post. Because I am quite frankly giving up on stemming the tide of this little gossiping sewing circle you have going on here.

Site is up. But clicking on my account tab shows this:

SSL connection error
Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be a problem with the server, or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you don't have.
Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR): SSL protocol error.

We are close though. Great work Slush!!!

What about the user database?  Was it compromised?  I'd hate to see bitcoins sent to the wrong address.

I have a database snapshot taken before bad guys overtook the database. So there's no reason to think payout addresses have been modified. Any change of wallet on pool profile requires email confirmation by account owner so I think we're on safe side here.

Unfortunately the user database can be considered as compromised, so the attacker knows user's emails :-(.
How were the passwords hashed?
never answer that!!!

let me rephrase: were the passwords securely hashed?

And salted?

Not to preach to you, but this is a perfect example why everyone should use unique passwords on every website.

I personally use 20+ character randomly generated passwords thanks to LastPass.  Makes secure password management so easy.

I am assuming the worst that they wore not hashed and salted. No word on the matter suggests that is possibly the case? I'd like to know either way. Embarrassing as it may be.
He already said that passwords were salted and hashed earlier in the thread and that you didn't have to worry about passwords being compromised.

yes, indeed. SHA1 with salt

How to be sure it is correct?
This may be a fake by hackers?
Wait for confirmation of slush can be?

Site is up for me for the most part. Everything looks good!

One last part to be fixed I've noticed is that old block rewards are still "Pending" from a couple days ago even though the statistics page shows them as "confirmed". I'm sure Slush will have this fixed quickly.

I will just put up a list of blocks that looks off to me:

17672   2013-04-24 16:16:17   0:21:14   2100816   none   none   none   232936 (No comment...)
17670   2013-04-24 14:36:11   4:15:43   25427668   4964   0.00066812   none   232921(Number of shares is about the same as one would expect)
17662   2013-04-24 07:11:35   2:03:40   12599667   1140   0.00000068   none   232872(my miners were running but I did noticed at morning that there were shares at backup pool so my line was fine so there must have been something else on pool side and backup pool recorded only 100+ shares. No problems on my LTC pool... So I'm missing about 1300 shares)
17658   2013-04-24 00:18:17   4:30:08   14147406   2028   0.00007571   none   232825(time we were hacked)

what was the last block we mined before the website went down?

reason for asking is i can see my account and have a weird block reward, now my miners have been online all the time and if you work out from the two blocks either side the number of shares i did is right to get the same rewards, not  1/8th

17671    2013-04-24 15:55:03    1:18:52    7947605    3254         0.00959669    none    232932    25.73570000    confirmed
17670    2013-04-24 14:36:11    4:15:43    25427668    10876    0.00142766    none    232921    25.38401000    confirmed
17669    2013-04-24 10:20:28    0:23:54    2389235    951         0.01011755    none    232896    25.31988704    confirmed

Block 17670 does not look right!

Slush, have you finished your work on the blocks mined or will they change.

Is it catching up?  Watching my unconfirmed rewards go up without any blocks being completed.  Also noticed the PC needed rebooting man missed those stats!

Yes everything is starting to look right... And missing shares are probably a stratum DNS thing...
