Ridiculous! Not that BIP101/XT had any chance (in the current convoluted debate) over the swift sand that is BIP100, but that was not enough for the pig-headed majority.
This just brings to the fore the real need for a code fork. I am aware the core "team" may not all agree with the majority that are the DDoS instigators (and that won't be the first time they don't agree with the majority in the bitcoin community), but this has taken it too far.

To the DDoS organizator:

What a puerile way to express yourself.

Instead of adding hashrate to your selected option (which is obviously non-BIP101), you instead attack the only possible way to vote, the only bastion of truth.

Making everyone mine "core" instead of letting people vote and express themselves, letting the majority decide, you've just let everyone down and made an argument in favor of tyranny, the tyranny of a few individuals that think a tightly closed elite must decide the future of the cryptocurrency.

You sir/madam are promoting tyranny and elitism, not the real values of anarchy i think.

You have made the world a little bit worse by letting the "powers that be" control our future, instead of letting us all measure ourselves in a universal and direct vote.

One of the miners will not stay connected to the pool.  Any ideas?

BIP101 voting disabled because of DDoS attack 6 days, 21 hours
We were forced to close voting ports 3301 for supporting BIP101 proposal.

Please, use the regular ports 3333 for now. We'll keep you updated.

Interesting. So the attack is focused on the BIP101 voting port?

I guess that means this is a politically motivated attack, not the usual greed. That's even more unsettling.

This whole XT/Core fight has gotten out of hand...
Yes there is also massive attack on XT nodes on a way. My 100/100 Mbit connection was taken down for days... But stopped after I took XT offline... It will be back online as soon as I don't need internet any more. I do have a G4 but it is caped so I do need classical internet for large downloads... But what I find interesting is that attacker who is clearly from bitcoin space doesn't understand how we think...

I would be nice to know the IP origins of the attacks....

I mean, that would help shape the threath.

The attack could also be BIP-101 proponent trying to win sympathy for BIP-101.

These attacks are criminal terrorism and go far beyond attack on the XT nodes, with significant collateral damage. My ISP was taken down for over one hour several times yesterday due to a DDOS attack that exceeded their access bandwidth. Tech support had their upstream provider block my IP address.  Then to restore my service they gave me a new IP address.  Within an hour the DDOS attack returned at the new IP address.  They then switched off my Internet service overnight until we could discuss what to do.  No more XT node for me.

In theory, you can locate what ISP provides the connection to the computers the attach originates from and email them. ISPs are obligated to have a way to contact them about abuse. Not sure if they can do much to prevent their traffic services used for DDoS attacks though.

... used for DDoS attacks

DDoS comes from Distributed Denial Of Service, which means there are thousands of IPs from all over the world performing the attack.
Good luch in just taking the time to list them and find their ISPs

I'm fully aware of that. There's possibly an entire army of infected computers that was after slush. That's why I said that going after IPs and contacting ISPs is only a possibility in theory. Very time consuming, indirect and most definitely ineffective in most cases.

Hello fellow miners

I just finished developing the beta version of a Pebble watchface that allows you to monitor your mining on Slush's Pool.

If you have a pebble i'd love to hear from you! (alw@openmailbox.org) Beta testers will be rewarded(a small reward because I'm a poor college student)

You can get the watchface here:  https://apps.getpebble.com/applications/55ecf2804fcd1c2851000061

Something strange, blockchain info indicates that  block 363479 was found by BitFury while Slush put it in its own statistics

Sorry, just typos, block 373469 in fact

And the last block 373469 is showing as orphaned on blockchain too ...

Is slush getting hit again? Hash rate went down significantly and now getting nothing but errors, blocks are being detected but at the same time the connection keeps failing resulting in stale shares...

Seems like ... though just popped a block too!

EDIT: Seems like the regional nodes went down and (in my case) the main node accepted nothing at all (all stales). But yeah, most of my rigs too are showing a reduced hashrate because of the (continuing?) outage ....
