^  Lewis seems durable but if you look at his record in Tapology all his losses were all finishes except for a couple.  So if Daukas just stays away from Lewis’ right hand, he should be able to finish Lewis before Lewis finishes him.  Lolol.  But yeah, Derrick Lewis is the biggest test for Daukas so far.  Winning means he’ll be in the top 5 and be in contention for a title fight or a title eliminator.

I didn’t realize Daukas was already ranked 7 at HW.

https://www.ufc.com/rankings

Anything can happen and I surely not defending any fighter here, I think that Derrick Lewis is kinda slow when it comes to Daukaus, but I can say that Cyril Gane is faster than Chris Daukaus, but we can not take out the fact that Lewis has that 1 hit KO potential that is why I am pretty much very subtle about this match, but I am surely getting there, and I will surely put my pick anytime soon when I am done putting information in my head and I have decided on who I will bet,

Yeah and this is why I don't analyze the fight too much. I'm sure Daukaus is also capable that's why I'm confident the match will end with one man sleeping or beaten on the ground.

Well, this is why I don't know who I will bet, both of them can sure defeat the other with TKO/KO this will surely go with the fighter with the most strength, and speed, Chris Daukaus does have a slight speed, and strength, but I really don't see any technical shots any faints, in all of his fights he is just brute-forcing his opponent, and Derrick Lewis is the same as well but lack of speed will surely get on him just like what happened with the Cyril Gane fight, if he can not land a punch on Daukaus then this might end up a win for Chris Daukaus, but I am still keeping myself intact and look at another angle.

^  Oh for sure.  And I’m not saying Daukas is among the top tier at HW.  But winning vs Lewis could be the start of at least being considered for a title shot.  I’d like to see Daukas in title eliminator tho.  Maybe Daukas vs Miocic if he wins vs Lewis?  That would really put his name among the elite.

Anyway, check this out...

I find his reaction normal. It's a tough loss to what could be his best opportunity (yet) to win the belt. He understand that as well that's why looked so down. I'm confident he'll be back after some motivation from his team/friends/family.

I don't know who he will be fighting next but I doubt he'll be discouraged just because they have a good ground game.

It will be hard to motivate him. He had two attempts to become a champion already. There are 2 year difference between them and he is 32. The guys in top ranking positions are good at wrestling, where he is bad. Will he be able to improve his wrestling in two years/ 2-3 fights ? Perhaps, but the division is full of young and hungry fighters. It will be very hard to him to get to another title fight. If I were him, I would concentrate more on having another fight with McGregor and earn Cheesy

It might turn that Makhachev will win his next fight and beat Olivera, and Poirier will do the same and lose to him by submission Smiley

Black Beast Derrick Lewis is one of the fighters that promises you will have very interesting fight to watch and I like to see him as underdog against Chris Daukaus.
Lewis have reach advantage and he is much heavier but Daukaus is in the great run and he won his last five fights.
Both of this fighters have amazing KO records, Lewis won by KO in 80% of his wins, and Daukas even bigger 92%, so be ready to see one more KO.

Sure thing, If Chris Daukaus win against the Black Beast then that will be the time a lot of considerable endorsement and surely a title shot is waiting for him, but I am very positive that Cyril Gane can win against Francis Ngannou and Chris Daukaus will be having a hard time winning at Cyril Gane, or Francis Ngannou at this level, if he is not worth it to face Derrick Lewis in this matchup then the probability of having to face the top Heavyweights is not in sight,

Well, Francis Nagnnou's odds seem pretty much on top and is the favorite right now and I didn't expect to see Jon Jones's name in the heavyweight division? I really thought he is just in the lightweight division, maybe he's going to get a shot in the heavyweight division but whatever happens I think he will be having a hard time setting foot on higher Divisions.

It appears that uncle Dana might not wait for the return of Amanda Nunes. A new storyline is developing between Juliana Peña and Kayla Harrison hehe. I would not be shocked if Juliana’s first opponent after being champion is Kayla Harrison.~

Kayla Harrison and Amanda Nunes are friends. No wonder Kayla is upset about Nunes' unexpected defeat. To me it looks like a logical reaction: "I will kill her for you!" But can Kayla succeed in beating Peña on the ring? Hardly. If these words by Peña regarding Kayla Harrison

"But she’s been fighting the B-leagues. I’ve been fighting in the UFC, I’ve been fighting at the top of the division."

is not just a diss, then there would be a strong possibility  of her winning. I say "would be" because imo they will never fight, actually. Another fight with Nunes? Probably. But with Harrison ... She's not even signed with UFC.

Dont forget that Derrick Lewis can eat a lot of strikes, take a good beating and make an upset on the last seconds of last round. Like he did against Volkov.

No doubt that title shot is waiting for Daukaus, but I think before that he will have to fight one more opponent. Miocic, Blaydes or Volkov. These guys either are on top position in ranking and won their last fight/fights, or havent fought for a long time. UFC wont allow them to idle. And only then there will be a new title fight in heavyweights (after Gane vs Ngannou fight).

'I’ve been fighting at the top of the division.'. I don't know if anyone told her, but that division she's just become a champion of is not the A league. If anything it can at best be at the same level as women divisions in Invicta, PFL, Bellator. And If she would watch her own fight against Nunes, she would see how bad it actually was. I wouldn't mind seeing a top-level judoka in the UFC, so why not sign her, It's not like there's anything else in that division.

Yeah that’s why I’d rather see Daukas get matched up vs Stipe Miocic first if ever he wins vs Derrick Lewis.  Ngannou and Gane are pretty much the top guys in the world right now.  And I guess it’s a good match up for Miocic too cos he’ll be back in title contention again or at least a title eliminator if he wins vs Daukas.

Does anybody have YT links for the weigh ins?  Thanks...

I surely consider Derrick Lewis durableness he may last on Chris Daukaus barrage but I also consider if those barrage of punches may cause some damage aswell, either way, we can not underestimate any opponent with such speed that Lewis doesn't have,

I surely think if he could win against Lewis he surely needs to fight another to secure a title match but I doubt he could be champion looking at how Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane right now, I still consider that these two is far more superior of all in the heavyweight division.

Thanks...

He surely needs to, he surely has the speed regardless of his body mass, I surely think if he can beat up Lewis, and just as you have said Miocic is a better opponent for him, but I still do not consider him to make an exceptional opponent for both Francis Ngannou and Cyril Gane, he surely needs to prove himself first,

Sorry, haven't seen any link yet.

Comparing that with main event Daukaus came with 235.5 pounds, that is over 30 pounds lighter than Tafa, and Black Beast Derrick Lewis came with 265 pounds.
It's going to be very fun watching all the big fat guys fighting this weekend.

This is a very sorrowful moment for those people who closely follow women’s mixed martial arts for the sexy fighting kittens show. Claudia Gadelha has announced her retirement. I am quite certain many men in the world will be very sad and they will miss her hehehe. Who will be our next sexy fighting kitten champion?

Former UFC title challenger Claudia Gadelha has reportedly indicated her intention to retire from MMA.

Gadelha recently notified the UFC of her plan to stop competing in the sport, per a report from Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting. The recent story explained that Gadelha is no longer on the UFC roster after informing the promotion that she doesn’t plan to continue fighting.

LOL. Never thought there were maximum limits for heavyweight. I think I've missed the part when UFC announced these limits. I remember such guys as Shane Carwin, Brock Lesnar, Bigfoot Silva. They look bigger than Tafa. Hard to believe that they weight less than him.

I remember there were huge guys in first UFC events. Huge guys like this. But that was more like a freak fights in early UFC and after they made some weigh divisions. But the era of Tym Silva, Lesnar, Struve, Hunt, Hardy was like yesterday. And now a guy misses weight in heavyweight. Amazing how time flies.

Lightweight   Mateusz Gamrot   vs.      Carlos Diego Ferreira

I see no one has commented on this couple yet.
Ferreira is after two losses and Gamrot after two wins.
Who will be more motivated in your opinion, Ferreira to stay in the UFC, or younger Gamrot will climb the ladder to the UFC Championship?  Smiley
In my opinion, Gamrot has a better chance to win.

WOW! congrats to him on creating history, but in a negative way, well he is the first in the heavyweight division but he is not the only one that misses the weight in's because Sijara Eubanks and Macy Chiasson ended up heavy aswell, they would still have their chance to lose weight but this is really a disappointment, you surely need to deliver a good record in disciplining yourself and not only just by maintaining you weigh but consuming only healthy food when one is about to take a match.

Really sad news I'd say, I like Claudia Gadelha's, beauty and wits when entering the ring but surely nothing last forever and eventually, every fighter we knew right now will then eventually will need to retire, and aside from getting old, some just really had enough of the life inside the ring, well I think we should all respect her decision and I will surely miss her inside the ring, but surely I think that she is also doing fine and having her only fans account will surely provide her financially.

Seeing Lewis and Daukas face off, I’m now kinda having second thoughts on Daukas.  I really thought Daukas would be a little bit taller than Lewis but it looks like they’re just the same height face to face.  And thinking more about the match up, I think Daukas should be the underdog.  It looks like the books might have over adjusted with Lewis after losing to Gane via R2 TKO?  Dunno...  Gane is way more skilled than Daukas.

It could be a nice buy low spot for Lewis.  I mean I’ll stick with Daukas but I can’t blame anybody for taking Lewis.

Anyway, here are thr weigh ins.

In my opinion, Gamrot has a better chance to win.

For some obvious reason, Gamrot is most likely to win this fight. I mean he could excell more on a ground fight as he could actually sustain and outplay Ferreira's submission style because he is a wrestler that has enough gas tank lol.

Coming of 2 win fight streak is a fresh momentum to have another great fight while Ferreira is still looking to break the lossing streak, and that is something bothering mentally.
Nevertheless, this could also be a good close fight. So, either one of them is a good bet.

Because of what you have said and what you have observed I think I will go with betting on Derrick Lewis, I feel that Daukaus doesn't have the power on overtaking Lewis into a brawl, and might end up one-shotting him with one punch, I really think that Chris Daukaus is overhyping by the books, and because Cyril Gane has knockout Lewis, they think that Daukaus might be done the same as Ciryl Gane done to Lewis, but just like you have said Gane is really more skilled than Daukaus, even though he has won this match getting into a brawl with Ngannou or Gane could end for him easily KOed, That is why I will bet for Derrick Lewis.

Guys tune in to your stream because UFC early prelims are starting now with first of 13 fights Matt Sayles vs Jordan Leavitt.
This will be the last UFC event in 2021 and next event is in January 15 so we are going to have almost one months break from UFC and other MMA fights.
Don't forget to watch prelim fight Justin Tafa vs Harry Hunsucker, this should be KO fat and heaviest fest  Grin
I am staying with my predictions for main card, Derrick Lewis win in main and Belal Muhammad win in co-main event.

@notblox1. Good predictions. The both of them have won and the both of them are underdogs. I am not quite certain why the sportsbooks made Wonderboy Thompson and Derrick Lewis the underdogs. Wonderboy, we have witnessed his weakness vs. Gilbert Burns was wrestling. Belal is a wrestler. Also, the Black beast has more experience than Chris Daukas who has only entered the UFC on 2020.
